| 13 | On the Influence of Vortex-Induced Resistance on Oil-Shale Particle-Slurry Flow in Vertical Pipes显示文摘The transportation in vertical pipelines of particle slurry of oil shale has important applications in several fields(marine mining,hydraulic mining,dredging of river reservoir,etc.).However,there is still a lack of information about the behavior of coarse particles in comparison to that of fine particles.For this reason,experiments on the fluidization and hydraulic lifting of coarse oil shale particles have been carried out.The experimental data for three kinds of particles with an average size of 5 mm,15 mm and 25 mm clearly demonstrate that vortices can be formed behind the particles.On this basis,a vortex resistance factor K is proposed here to describe this effect.A possible correlation law is defined by means of a data fitting method accordingly.This law is validated by an experiment employing particles with an average size of 3.4 mm.The vortex resistance factor K results in a reduction of the speed of solid particles and an increase in the sliding speed as well as a decrease in the hydraulic gradient.As a result,using this factor,the calculation of the solid particle speed and hydraulic gradient can be made more accurate with respect to measured values. | Li-an Zhao Tieli Wang | 2021 | Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing2021,17,2: | 1 |
| 14 | Finite Differential Method Simulation on Temperature Field in Process of Laser Quenching显示文摘Laser Quenching is one of main contents in laser heat treatment. At present, computer simulation on cooling course of laser quenching is the main research field and the foundation of calculating inner thermal stresses in object. It also provides theoretical basis for optimizing and controlling the course of laser quenching technology. In this paper, the difference between finite element method and finite differential method, which are two methods to calculate the laser quenching temperature field and calculation precision are studied. The unstable temperature field is solved and the configure and time are discretizcd simultaneously. About time discrete, two kinds of differential pattern are discussed. Compared the calculation results with measurement values, it shows that the differential method adopting in the paper is feasible and the calculation precision and calculation velocity can be increased to use variable step-size about time. | 16 | Effect of Temperature on the Deactivation of a Pd-Fe/α-Al_2O_3 Catalyst for CO Coupling to Diethyl Oxalate显示文摘Destructive tests of the catalyst was carried out to study the effect of temperature on the catalytic activity of CO coupling to diethyl oxalate (DEO) over a Pd-Fe/Al2O3 catalyst. It was found that a temperature jump could cause the deactivation of the Pd-Fe/α-Al2O3 catalyst. The catalyst deactivated at different temperatures has different characteristics. After deactivation the crystal structure of α-Al2O3 did not change, but the Pd particle size was enlarged. Most of the Pd0 were oxidized to Pd2+, and Fe2+ was oxidized to Fe3+ on the surface of the deactivated catalyst. | 20 | Experimental Study of Shrinkage Displacements of Points on Injection Molded Parts显示文摘The existing research on shrinkage of the injection molded plastic part mainly focuses on various shrinkage ratios of the part dimensions,and the relevant experimental studies belong to mere dimension measurement after demoulding.Obviously,measuring after the plastic part is demoulded from the cavity can not offer shrinkage displacements of points on the plastic part.However,shrinkage displacements of points on an injection molded plastic part are essential for exposing the inner relation among shrinkage ratios of various dimensions of the part.So visualization of the in-mold plastic part which can indicate the location relationship between the part and the cavity is needed.In this paper,a visual injection mold was fabricated by adopting the half mold structure and light transmission manner.With the visual mold,in-mold shrinkage images of injection molded plastic parts were photographed after the plastic part stayed in the injection mold for 24 h.By means of digital image processing of the in-mold shrinkage images,the experimental data of shrinkage displacements of points on injection molded parts were researched.From the experimental data,it is found that shrinkage directions of points on an injection molded part are related with both positions of the gate and of the part centroid,and either the gate or the centroid will exert more influence on the shrinkage direction of some point which is closer.Furthermore,some point at the later filled area has more shrinkage distance than the point at the earlier filled area.Combination of shrinkage directions and shrinkage distances of points on an injection molded part determine shrinkage ratios for various dimensions of the part,and shrinkage directions are more influential to shrinkage ratios of dimensions.This experimental research of shrinkage displacements offers a unique approach to understand the shrinkage principles of injection molded parts. | ZHU Tieli WANG Minjie SHENG Zhanhui | 2010 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2010,23,5: | 0 |
