| 1 | Source Contributions to PM2.5 under Unfavorable Weather Conditions in Guangzhou City,China显示文摘Historical haze episodes(2013–16) in Guangzhou were examined and classified according to synoptic weather systems.Four types of weather systems were found to be unfavorable, among which 'foreside of a cold front'(FC) and 'sea high pressure'(SP) were the most frequent(> 75% of the total). Targeted case studies were conducted based on an FC-affected event and an SP-affected event with the aim of understanding the characteristics of the contributions of source regions to fine particulate matter(PM_(2.5)) in Guangzhou. Four kinds of contributions—namely, emissions outside Guangdong Province(super-region), emissions from the Pearl River Delta region(PRD region), emissions from Guangzhou–Foshan–Shenzhen(GFS region), and emissions from Guangzhou(local)—were investigated using the Weather Research and Forecasting–Community Multiscale Air Quality model. The results showed that the source region contribution differed with different weather systems. SP was a stagnant weather condition, and the source region contribution ratio showed that the local region was a major contributor(37%), while the PRD region, GFS region and the super-region only contributed 8%, 2.8% and 7%, respectively, to PM_(2.5) concentrations. By contrast, FC favored regional transport. The super-region became noticeable,contributing 34.8%, while the local region decreased to 12%. A simple method was proposed to quantify the relative impact of meteorology and emissions. Meteorology had a 35% impact, compared with an impact of-18% for emissions, when comparing the FC-affected event with that of the SP. | 2 | Homogeneous PLGA-lipid nanoparticle as a promising oral vaccine delivery system for ovalbumin显示文摘In this study,a polymeric lipid nanoparticle(NP)(simplified as Lipid NP)was reported as a promising oral vaccine delivery system.The Lipid NPs composed of a hydrophobic polymeric poly(D,L-lactide-co-glycolide)(PLGA)core and a surface coating of lipid monolayer.Membrane emulsification technique was used to obtain uniform-sized Lipid NPs.Ovalbumin(OVA)was used as a model vaccine.Compared with the pure PLGA NPs,the Lipid NPs achieved higher loading capacity(LC)and entrapment efficiency(EE)for the encapsulated OVA.An in vitro oral release profile showed that the OVA-Lipid NPs were with lower initial burst and could protect the loaded OVA from the harsh gastrointestinal(GI)environment for a long time.In addition,a human microfold cell(M-cell)transcytotic assay demonstrated that due to a lipid layer structure on the particle surface,the Lipid NPs showed higher affinity to the M-cells.Since the M-cell in the intestinal epithelium played an important role in particle transportation as well as intimately associated with the underlying immune cells,the OVA-Lipid NPs effectively induced mucosal and humoral immune responses. | Tongtong Ma Lianyan Wang Tingyuan Yang Guanghui Ma Siling Wang | 2014 | Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2014,9,3: | 4 |

| 4 | Electrical transport and photoresponse properties of single-crystalline p-type Cd_3As_2 nanowires显示文摘Cd3As2 is an important II–V group semiconductor with excellent electrical and optoelectronic properties. In this work, we report the large scale growth of single-crystalline Cd3As2 nanowires via a simple chemical vapor deposition method. Single nanowire field-effect transistors were fabricated with the as-grown Cd3As2 nanowires, which exhibited a high I on/I off of 104 with a hole mobility of 6.02 cm2V-1s-1. Photoresponse properties of the Cd3As2 nanowires were also investigated by illuminating the nanowires with white light by varying intensities. Besides, flexible photodetectors were also fabricated on flexible PET substrate, showing excellent mechanical stablility and flexible electro-optical properties under various bending states and bending cycles. | 10 | Phase I trial of human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells for treatment of severe bronchopulmonary dysplasia显示文摘Severe bronchopulmonary dysplasia(BPD)is a chronic lung disorder that primarily affects premature babies with extremely low birth weight and involves in multiple organ system;no effective pharmacotherapy for this disease exists,and mortality remains high.Based on the evidence from previous preclinical studies and phase I clinical trials,this study aims to test the safety of intravenous application of a single dose of human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells(hUC-MSCs)in patients with severe BPD.The Mesenchymal Stem cells for Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia Treatment(MSBDT)trial is a single center,open-label,dose-escalation phase I clinical trial.Severe BPD patients were enrolled in Children Hospital of Chongqing Medical University,Chongqing,China.The first six patients were treated with low-dose hUC-MSCs(1×10^(6) cells/kg)and the next seven patients were treated with high-dose hUC-MSCs(5×10^(6) cells/kg).This study is registered with ClinicalTrials.gov,number NCT03558334.No prespecified infusion-associated adverse events,immediate complication,respiratory or cardiovascular compromise were observed during infusion and 24 h after infusion.No significant changes in safety laboratory values were observed.One death event occurred in the low-dose group on study day 10,and one death event occurred in the high-dose group on study day 24,while,after review in detail,the two cases are not believed to be infusion-associated events.In conclusion,intravenous application of a single dose of hUC-MSCs was tolerated in thirteen patients with severe BPD. | Yunqiu Xia Tingyuan Lang Yuqin Niu Xian Wu Ou Zhou Jihong Dai Lei Bao Ke Yang Lin Zou Zhou Fu Gang Geng | 2023 | Genes & Diseases2023,10,2: | 1 |
| 11 | Hierarchical metal-phenolic-polyplex assembly toward superwetting membrane for high-flux and antifouling oil-water separation显示文摘Superwetting membranes have emerged as promising materials for the efficient treatment of oily wastewater.Typically,superwetting membranes can be developed by ingeniously chemical modification and topographical structuration of microporous membranes.Herein,we report the hierarchical assembly of metal-phenolic-polyplex coating to manipulate membrane surface superwettability by integrating metal-phenolic(Fe^(Ⅲ)-tannic acid(TA))assembly with polyplex(tannic acid-polyethylenimine(PEI))assembly.The proposed Fe-TA-PEI coating can be deposited on microporous membrane via simply dipping into Fe^(Ⅲ)-TA-PEI co-assembly solution.Based on the catechol chemistry,the coordination complexation of Fe^(Ⅲ)and TA develops metal-phenolic networks to provide hydrophilic chemistries,and the electrostatic complexation of TA and PEI generates nanoconjugates to impart hierarchical architectures.Benefiting from the synergy of hydrophilic chemistries and hierarchical architectures,the resulting PVDF/Fe-TA-PEI membrane exhibits excellent superhydrophilicity(~0°)underwater superoleophobicity(~150°)and superior anti-oil-adhesion capability.The superhydrophilicity of PVDF/Fe-TA-PEI membrane greatly promotes membrane permeability,featuring water fluxes up to 5860 L m^(-2)h^(-1).The underwater superoleophobicity of PVDF/Fe-TA-PEI membrane promises potential flux(3393 L m^(-2)h^(-1)),high separation efficiency(99.3%)and desirable antifouling capability for oil-in-water emulsion separation.Thus,we highlight the reported hierarchical metal-phenolic-polyplex assembly as a straightforward and effective strategy that enables the synchronous modulation of surface chemistry and topography toward superwetting membranes for promising high-flux and antifouling oil-water separation. | Xueting Zhao Yuanyuan Jiang Lijuan Cheng Youyou Lan Tingyuan Wang Jiefeng Pan Lifen Liu | 2022 | Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,8: | 0 |

Herein, a series of acrylamide-based novel DHODH inhibitors as potential RA treatment agents were designed and synthesized. 2-Acrylamidobenzoic acid analog 11 was identified as the lead compound for structureeactivity relationship(SAR) studies. The replacement of the phenyl group with naphthyl moieties improved inhibitory activity significantly to double-digit nanomolar range.Further structure optimization revealed that an acrylamide with small hydrophobic groups(Me, Cl or Br)at the 2-position was preferred. Moreover, adding a fluoro atom at the 5-position of the benzoic acid enhanced the potency. The optimization efforts led to potent compounds 42 and 53-55 with IC50 values of 41, 44, 32, and 42 nmol/L, respectively. | 16 | Polaron mobility modulation by bandgap engineering in black phaseα-FAPbI_(3)显示文摘Lead halide hybrid perovskites(LHP)have emerged as one of the most promising photovoltaic materials for their remarkable solar energy conversion ability.The transportation of the photoinduced carriers in LHP could screen the defect recombination with the help of the large polaron formation.However,the physical insight of the relationship between the superior optical-electronic performance of perovskite and its polaron dynamics related to the electron-lattice strong coupling induced by the substitution engineering is still lack of investigation.Here,the bandgap modulated thin films ofα-FAPbI_(3)with different element substitution is investigated by the time resolved Terahertz spectroscopy.We find the polaron recombination dynamics could be prolonged in LHP with a relatively smaller bandgap,even though the formation of polaron will not be affected apparently.Intuitively,the large polaron mobility in(FAPb I_(3))0.95(MAPbI_(3))0.05thin film is~30%larger than that in(FAPb I_(3))0.85(MAPbBr_(3))0.15.The larger mobility in(FAPb I_(3))0.95(MAPb I_(3))0.05could be assigned to the slowing down of the carrier scattering time.Therefore,the physical origin of the higher carrier mobility in the(FAPb I_(3))0.95(MAPbI_(3))0.05should be related with the lattice distortion and enhanced electron–phonon coupling induced by the substitution.In addition,(FAPbI_(3))0.95(MAPbI_(3))0.05will lose fewer active carriers during the polaron cooling process than that in(FAPb I_(3))0.85(MAPbBr_(3)),indicating lower thermal dissipation in(FAPbI_(3))0.95(MAPbI_(3))0.05.Our results suggest that besides the smaller bandgap,the higher polaron mobility improved by the substitution engineering inα-FAPbI_(3)can also be an important factor for the high PCE of the black phaseα-FAPbI_(3)based solar cell devices. | Chunwei Wang Zeyu Zhang Zhuang Xiong Xingyu Yue Bo Zhang Tingyuan jia Zhengzheng Liu Juan Du Yuxin Leng Kuan Sun Ruxin Li | 2023 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,1: | 0 |
