1Effect of experimental parameters on the micro hardness of plasma sprayed alumina coatings on AZ31B magnesium alloy显示文摘Surface treatment of engineering materials has recently become important for serviceable engineering components.Many techniques such as thermal and thermo chemical surface treatments have been used to develop surface characteristics of materials.Hardness is the most important property,which influences considerably service life characteristics of coatings.In this investigation,alumina coatings were deposited by atmospheric plasma spray technique under different levels of power,stand-off distances and powder feed rates.Empirical relationship was developed to predict the micro hardness of alumina coatings by incorporating the plasma spray process parameters.The input power and the stand-off distance appeared to be the most significant two parameters affecting the hardness of the coating among the three investigated process parameters.Further,correlating the spray parameters with coating properties enables the identification of characteristics regime to achieve desired quality of coatings.D.Thirumalaikumarasamy K.Shanmugam Kamalamoorthy V.Balasubramanian Visvalingam 2015Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2015,3,3:3
2电弧收缩电流频率对航空航天合金钨极氩弧焊薄板拉伸性能和显微组织演变的影响显示文摘研究电弧收缩电流频率(ACCF)对收缩电弧钨极氩弧焊(CA-TIG)焊接航空航天718合金板(厚度为2 mm)拉伸性能和显微组织演变的影响。实验设计每次一个变量,即采用从4 kHz到20 kHz之间5个不同的ACCF,其他参数保持不变。结果显示,采用4 kHz ACCF的接头具有良好的拉伸性能,焊接效率可达99.20%。这是由于熔化区的晶粒细化导致枝晶间析出更细小、离散的Laves相。ACCF高于12 kHz时熔化区发生严重晶粒长大和粗大Laves相演变。718合金焊缝在较高的ACCF下由于冷却速度较慢,Nb偏析和Laves相形成的趋势更明显。当ACCF为20 kHz时,Laves相的体积分数比4 kHz时提高62.31%,因此,接头的拉伸性能降低。这主要是由于当ACCF增加时,焊接热循环中热输入的叠加。Tushar SONAR Sudersanan MALARVIZHI Visvalingam BALASUBRAMANIAN 2021Transactions of Nonferrous Metals Society of China2021,31,2:2

11Influence of magnetically constricted arc traverse speed (MCATS) on tensile properties and microstructural characteristics of welded Inconel 718 alloy sheets显示文摘The magnetically constricted arc technique was implemented to mitigate the heat input related metallurgical problems in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding(GTAW)of Inconel 718 alloy particularly Nb segregation and subsequent laves phase evolution in fusion zone.This paper reports the direct effect of magnetically constricted arc traverse speed(MCATS)on bead profile,tensile properties and microstructural evolution of Inconel 718 alloy sheets joined by Gas Tungsten Constricted Arc Welding(GTCAW)process.The mechanism amenable for the microstructural modification and corresponding influence on the tensile properties of joints is investigated both in qualitative and quantitative manner related to the mechanics of arc constriction and pulsing.It is correlated to the solidification conditions during welding.The relationship between MCATS and Arc Constriction Current(ACC)was derived.Its interaction effect on the magnetic arc constriction and joint performance was analysed.Results showed that the joints fabricated using CATS of 70 mm/min exhibited superior tensile properties(98.39% of base metal strength with 31.50% elongation).It is attributed to the grain refinement in fusion zone microstructure leading to the evolution of finer,discrete laves phase in interdendritic areas.Tushar Sonar Visvalingam Balasubramanian Sudersanan Malarvizhi Thiruvenkatam Venkateswaran Dhenuvakonda Sivakumar 2021Defence Technology(防务技术)2021,17,4:1
