| 16 | Albumin-assembled copper-bismuth bimetallic sulfide bioactive nanosphere as an amplifier of oxidative stress for enhanced radio-chemodynamic combination therapy显示文摘The tumor microenvironment with overexpressed hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))and reinforced antioxidative system(glutathione,GSH)becomes a double-edged sword for the accessibility of nano-therapy.Since reactive oxygen species(ROS)are easily quenched by the developed antioxidative network,ROS-based treatments such as chemodynamic therapy(CDT)and radiotherapy(RT)for killing cancer cells are severely attenuated.To overcome such limitations,a bioactive nanosphere system is developed to regulate intracellular oxidative stress for enhanced radio-chemodynamic combination therapy by using bovine serum albumin(BSA)based bioactive nanospheres that are BSA assembled with in situ generated copper-bismuth sulfide nanodots and diallyl trisulfide(DATS).The copper-bismuth sulfide nanodots react with H_(2)O_(2)to produce·OH and release Cu^(2+).Then,the Cu^(2+)further depletes GSH to generate Cu^(+)for more·OH generation in the way of Fenton-like reaction.Such a cascade reaction can initiate·OH generation and GSH consumption to realize CDT.The elevation of ROS triggered by the DATS from BBCD nanospheres further augments the breaking of redox balance for the increased oxidative stress in 4T1 cells.With the sensitization of increased oxidative stress and high Z element Bi,an enhanced radio-chemodynamic combination therapy is achieved.The current work provides an enhanced radio-chemodynamic combination treatment for the majority of solid tumors by using the co-assembled bioactive nanospheres as an amplifier of oxidative stress. | Weiyong Tao Zhan Tuo Feige Wu Ketao Mu Cunjing Xu Yuxiao Shi Zeyu Sun Yifan Wang Yan Li Zhenyu Zhong Lei Zhou Jianglin Wang Jie Liu Yingying Du Shengmin Zhang | 2022 | Regenerative Biomaterials2022,9,1: | 0 |
| 17 | SUMOylation facilitates the assembly of a Nuclear Factor-Y complex to enhance thermotolerance in Arabidopsis显示文摘Heat stress(HS) has serious negative effects on plant development and has become a major threat to agriculture. A rapid transcriptional regulatory cascade has evolved in plants in response to HS. Nuclear Factor-Y(NF-Y) complexes are critical for this mechanism, but how NF-Y complexes are regulated remains unclear.In this study, we identified NF-YC10(NF-Y subunit C10), a central regulator of the HS response in Arabidopsis thaliana, as a substrate of SUMOylation, an important post-translational modification. Biochemical analysis showed that the SUMO ligase SIZ1(SAP AND MIZ1 DOMAINCONTAINING LIGASE1) interacts with NF-YC10and enhances its SUMOylation during HS. The SUMOylation of NF-YC10 facilitates its interaction with and the nuclear translocation of NF-YB3, in which the SUMO interaction motif(SIM)is essential for its efficient association with NF-YC10. Further functional analysis indicated that the SUMOylation of NF-YC10 and the SIM of NF-YB3 are critical for HS-responsive gene expression and plant thermotolerance. | 18 | Discovery of two broad absorption line quasars at redshift about 4.75 using the Lijiang 2.4 m telescope显示文摘The ultraviolet broad absorption lines have been seen in the spectra of quasars at high redshift, and are generally considered to be caused by outflows with velocities from thousands kilometers per second to one tenth of the speed of light. They provide crucial implications for the cosmological structures and physical evolutions related to the feedback of active galactic nuclei(AGNs).Recently, through a dedicated program of optically spectroscopic identifications of selected quasar candidates at redshift 5 by using the Lijiang 2.4 m telescope, we discovered two luminous broad absorption line quasars(BALQSOs) at redshift about 4.75. One of them may even have the potentially highest absorption Balnicity Index(BI) ever found to date, which is remarkably characterized by its deep, broad absorption lines and sub-relativistic outflows.
