3Dynamical Solidification Behaviors and Metal Flow during Continuous Semisolid Extrusion Process of AZ31 Alloy显示文摘In this paper, a novel near-net-shape forming process, continuous semisolid extrusion process (CSEP) of AZ31 alloy was proposed, and the dynamical solidification behaviors and metal flow during the process were firstly investigated. During casting AZ31 alloy by this process, non-uniform microstructure distributions and non-equilibrium solidification region near the roll surface were found in the roll-shoe gap. Microstructural evolution from dendrite to rosette and spherical grains was observed during the casting by CSEP. Casting temperature, roll-shoe gap width and cooling ability have great effect on casting process and metal flow, so these factors should be carefully controlled, a proper casting temperature of 710-750℃ is suggested. 4Effect of titanium and rare earth microalloying on microsegregation,eutectic carbides of M2 high speed steel during ESR process显示文摘The effects of RE and Ti microalloying during electroslag remelting(ESR)process on the microsegregation and morphology of eutectic M2C carbides in M2 high speed steel were investigated.The results show that the addition of 0.2 wt%RE can alleviate the segregation of C,W,Mo,V and Cr,while the morphology of eutectic M2C carbides hardly changes.The microalloying with the addition of 0.5 wt%Ti has the lowest degree of microsegregation due to the improvement of primary dendrites by the effective heterogeneous nucleating agent of(Ti,V)(C,N)particles.The addition of Ti makes the mo rphology of M2C carbides change from rod-like or maze-like shape into a coarse feathery shape,exhibiting anisotropic facet growth characteristics.For the microalloying of 0.2 wt%RE and 0.5 wt%Ti,the segregation of the main metal alloying elements is slightly more severe than that of the addition of only RE or Ti.Under the combined action of RE and Ti,the feathery eutectic M2C becomes thinner and shorter and tends to be isolated or distributed in a discontinuous network.Fuxing Yin Lu Wang Zhixia Xiao Jianhang Feng Lin Zhao 2020Journal of Rare Earths2020,38,9:5

6Microstructure and mechanical properties of CoCrNi-Mo medium entropy alloys:Experiments and first-principle calculations显示文摘The effect of Mo additions on the microstructures and mechanical properties of CoCrNi alloys was investigated,meanwhile,ab initio calculations are performed to quantitatively evaluate the lattice distortion and stacking fault energy(SFE).The yield strength,ultimate tensile strength,and elongation of(CoCrNi)_(97)Mo_(3)alloy are 475 MPa,983 MPa and 69%,respectively.The yield strength is increased by~30%and high ductility is maintained,in comparison with CoCrNi alloy.Besides the nano-twins and dislocations,the higher density of stacking faults is induced during the tensile deformation for(CoCrNi)_(97)Mo_(3)alloy.Ab initio calculation results indicate the mean square atomic displacement(MSAD)and SFE value of(CoCrNi)_(97)Mo_(3)alloy is 42.6 pm^(2)and-40.4 mJ/m^(2)at 0 K,respectively.The relationship between mechanical properties and MSAD,SFE for various multiple principal element alloys is discussed.Ruobin Chang Wei Fang Jiaohui Yan Haoyang Yu Xi Bai Jia Li Shiying Wang Shijian Zheng Fuxing Yin 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,3:5
7Endogenous leptin fluctuates in hepatic ischemia/reperfusion injury and represents a potential therapeutic target显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the role of leptin in the internal disorders during hepatic ischemia/reperfusion injury. METHODS: A rat model of 70% hepatic ischemia/reperfusion injury was established, with groups of shamoperation (Sham), 60 min ischemia/60 min reperfusion (I60'R60'), I60'R150', I60'R240' and I60'R360'. Serum leptin was detected by a self-produced radioimmunoassay; serum glucose, total anti-oxidation capacity, myeloperoxidase, alanine transaminase and diamine oxidase were determined by relevant kits, while histologicalalterations and protein levels of leptin in the lung, liver and duodenum were examined by hematoxylin-eosin staining and immunohistochemistry. Spearman's rank correlation between leptin and other variables or grading of tissue impairment were analyzed simultaneously. RESULTS: Serum leptin in I60'R360' was significantly higher than in Sham and I60'R240' groups (both P < 0.05), serum glucose in I60'R360' was higher than in Sham and I60'R150' (both P < 0.05), and serum total anti-oxidation capacity in I60'R240' and I60'R360' were higher than in Sham (both P < 0.05) and I60'R150' groups (both P < 0.01). Serum myeloperoxidase in groups of I60'R240' and I60'R360' were lower than in I60'R150'group (both P < 0.05), serum alanine transaminase in the four reperfusion groups were higher than in the Sham group (all P < 0.05), while serum DAO in I60'R360' was lower than in I60'R60' (P < 0.05). Histological impairment in the lung, liver and duodenum at the early phase of this injury was more serious, but the impairment at the later phase was lessened gradually. Protein levels of leptin in the lung in the four reperfusion groups were significantly lower than in the Sham group (all P < 0.01), decreasing in the order of I60'R150', I60' R60', I60'R360' and I60'R240'; the levels in the liver in I60'R60' and I60'R240' were higher than in the Sham group (both P < 0.01), while the levels in I60'R240' and I60'R360' were lower than in I60'R60' (both P < 0.01); the levels in duodenum in I60'R240' and I60'R360' were higher than in Sham, I60'R60' and I60'R150' (all P < 0.01), while the level in I60'R150' was lower than in I60' R60' (P < 0.05). There was a significantly positive correlation between serum leptin and alanine transaminase (ρ = 0.344, P = 0.021), a significantly negative correlation between the protein level of leptin in the lung and its damage scores (ρ = -0.313, P = 0.036), and a significantly positive correlation between the protein level of leptin in the liver and its damage scores (ρ = 0.297, P = 0.047). 8T cell-depleting nanoparticles ameliorate bone loss by reducing activated T cells and regulating the Treg/Th17 balance显示文摘Estrogen deficiency is one of the most frequent causes of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women.Under chronic inflammatory conditions caused by estrogen deficiency,activated T cells contribute to elevated levels of proinflammatory cytokines,impaired osteogenic differentiation capabilities of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMMSCs),and disturbed regulatory T cell(Treg)/Th17 cell balance.However,therapeutic strategies that re-establish immune homeostasis in this disorder have not been well developed.Here,we produced T cell-depleting nanoparticles(TDNs)that ameliorated the osteopenia phenotype and rescued the osteogenic deficiency of BMMSCs in ovariectomized(OVX)mice.TDNs consist of monocyte chemotactic protein-1(MCP-1)-encapsulated mesoporous silica nanoparticles as the core and Fas-ligand(FasL)as the corona.We showed that the delicate design of the TDNs enables rapid release of MCP-1 to recruit activated T cells and then induces their apoptosis through the conjugated FasL both in vitro and in vivo.Apoptotic signals recognized by macrophages help skew the Treg/Th17 cell balance and create an immune tolerant state,further attenuating the osteogenic deficiency of BMMSCs and the osteopenia phenotype.Mechanistically,we found that the therapeutic effects of TDNs were partially mediated by apoptotic T cell-derived extracellular vesicles(ApoEVs),which promoted macrophage transformation towards the M2 phenotype.These findings demonstrate that TDNs may represent a promising strategy for treating osteoporosis and other immune disorders.Xiaoshan Yang Fuxing Zhou Pingyun Yuan Geng Dou Xuemei Liu Siying Liu Xiangdong Wang Ronghua Jin Yan Dong Jun Zhou Yajie Lv Zhihong Deng Shiyu Liu Xin Chen Ying Han Yan Jin 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,10:4

10Single-mode lasing via loss engineering in fiber-taper-coupled polymer bottle microresonators显示文摘Due to the lack of mode selection capability, single whispering-gallery-mode(WGM) lasing is a challenge to achieve. In bottle microresonators, the highly nondegenerated WGMs are spatially well-separated along the long-axis direction and provide mode selection according to their axial mode numbers. In this work, we use a loss-engineering approach to suppress the higher-order WGMs and demonstrate single-mode lasing emission in small polymer bottle microresonators. The fiber tapers are not only used to couple pump light into the bottle microresonators to excite the WGMs but also to bring optical losses that are induced from the diameter mismatch between fiber tapers and microresonators. By adjusting the coupling positions, the diameters of fiber tapers, and the coupling angles, single fundamental-mode lasing is efficiently generated with side-mode suppression factors over 15 dB. 11Faceted Kurdjumov-Sachs interface-induced slip continuity in the eutectic high-entropy alloy,AlCoCrFeNi_(2.1)显示文摘Recently,the eutectic high-entropy alloy(EHEA),AlCoCrFeNi_(2.1),can reach a good balance of strength and ductility.The dual-phase alloy exhibits a eutectic lamellar microstructure with large numbers of interfaces.However,the role of the interfaces in plastic deformation have not been revealed deeply.In the present work,the orientation relationship(OR)of the interfaces has been clarified as the Kurdjumov-Sachs(KS)interfaces presenting〈111〉_(B2) 〈110〉_(FCC)and {110} _(B2){111}_(FCC) independent of their morphologies.There exist three kinds of interfaces in the EHEA,namely,The dominating interface and the secondary interface are both non-slip planes and atomistic-scale faceted,facilitating the nucleation and slip transmission of the dislocations.The formation mechanism of the preferred interfaces is revealed using the atomistic geometrical analysis according to the criteria of the low interfacial energy based on the coincidence-site lattice(CSL)theory.In particular,the ductility of the dual-phase alloy originates from the KS interface-induced slip continuity across interfaces,which provides a high slip-transfer geometric factor.Moreover,the strengthening effect can be attributed to the interface resistance for the dislocation transmission due to the mismatches of the moduli and lattice parameters at the interfaces.Ting Xiong Wenfan Yang Shijian Zheng Zhaorui Liu Yiping Lu Ruifeng Zhang Yangtao Zhou Xiaohong Shao Bo Zhang Jun Wang Fuxing Yin Peter K.Liaw Xiuliang Ma 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,6:2
12Expression, purification of a synthetic fuse-protein-TSF from PF4 and TSP1 fragments and its effect on angio-genesis and tumor growth显示文摘Sequences encoding PF4 (58-70) and TSP1 (429-459) were linked to yield a single gene TSF which encodes the fuse-protein of TSF. The gene was cloned into a pGEX-2T expression vector to generate a protein GST-TSF, which was strongly expressed in E. coli. The purified GST-TSF was degraded with thrombin to generate the protein TSF. With the methods of MTT and wound repair assay, the effects of TSF on the proliferation and migration of EC were detected, respectively. The results showed that TSF significantly suppressed BAEC proliferation and migration in a dose-dependent manner. The fuse protein GST-TSF, and the peptides PF4 (58-70) and TSP1 (429-459) also inhibited BAEC proliferation and migration, respectively, but their inhibition rates were not as high as TSF. Using the CAM assay, it was shown that TSF, GST-TSF, PF4 (58-70) and TSP1 (429-459) inhibited angiogenesis in chick CAM potentially, the effect of TSF was the highest. 13Multi-aiming Strategy Design for Quadruple Prism Shaped Central Receiver in Solar Power Tower System显示文摘For solar power tower technology, the improvement of interception efficiency of heliostat field and the extension of central receiver's life time are two technical difficulties. To the receiver, higher interception efficiency means more thermal shocks and stronger stresses of high temperatures mainly contribute to the reduction of receiver's life time. To address these problems,a semi-random distribution strategy is proposed to select the best aiming point of the heliostat, and the distribution of onedimensional array arranged on the centerline of the receiver is carried out for further optimization. 15Soliton and bound-state soliton mode-locked fiber laser based on a MoS_2/fluorine mica Langmuir–Blodgett film saturable absorber显示文摘In this article, we report on an experimentally generated soliton and bound-state soliton passively mode-locked erbium-doped fiber laser by incorporating a saturable absorber(SA) made of MoS2∕fluorine mica(FM) that was fabricated with the Langmuir–Blodgett(LB) method. The FM substrate is 20 μm thick and easy to bend or cut,like a polymer. However, it has a higher damage threshold and a better thermal dissipation than polymers.In addition, the LB method can be used to fabricate a thin film with good uniformity. In this study, the modulation depth, saturable intensity, and unsaturated loss of the SA are measured as 5.9%, 57.69 MW∕cm2, and13.4%, respectively. Based on the SA, a soliton mode-locked laser is achieved. The pulse duration, repetition rate, and signal-to-noise ratio are 581 fs, 15.67 MHz, and 65 dB, respectively. By adjusting the polarization controller and pump power, we obtain a bound-state soliton mode-locked pulse. The temporal interval between the two solitons forming the bound-state pulse is 2.7 ps. The repetition rate of the bound-state pulses is proportional to the pump power. The maximum repetition rate is 517 MHz, corresponding to the 33 rd harmonic of the fundamental repetition rate.
