| 1 | Starch/polyvinyl alcohol blended materials used as solid carbon source for tertiary denitrification of secondary efuent显示文摘Starch/polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) blended materials for using as a solid carbon source(SCS) were prepared by blending PVA and gelatinized starch in an aqueous solution system, in which PVA served as framework material and starch as carbon source. The optimization of starch content and temperature efects were investigated. It was indicated that higher denitrification efciency could be achieved with more starch in the materials. The average specific denitrification rates were 0.93, 0.66, 0.37 and 0.36 mg/(g·day)corresponding to starch content of 70%, 60%, 40% and 30% respectively at 37°C. The denitrification rates increased when operating temperature was raised from 23°C to 30°C and then 37°C. The mechanism of carbon release was analyzed incorporating the experimental results of abiotic release in deionized water. The organic carbon was mainly hydrolyzed by microbes, and the biological release efciencies were at the range of 89.2% to 96.0%. A long-term experiment with a continuous flow reactor with SCS material containing 70% starch was conducted to gain some experience for practical application. When the influent nitrate concentration was in the range of 35.2 to 39.1 mg/L, hydraulic retention time of 4 hr, and operating temperature of 30°C, a nitrogen removal efciency up to94.6% and denitrification rate of 0.217 kg/(m3·day) was achieved. | 2 | Autonomous navigation method and technology implementation of high-precision solar spectral velocity measurement显示文摘The velocity information of spacecraft can be directly obtained by the autonomous navigation method based on astronomical spectral velocity measurement. It provides complete direct velocity measurement information for the traditional navigation methods represented by astronomical angle measurement and astronomical ranging, which is of great significance for spacecraft high precision autonomous navigation. This paper comprehensively introduces the principle and navigation method of astronomical spectral velocity measurement, as well as the technical realization of the solar atomic frequency discriminator for autonomous navigation(SAFDAN) based on atomic frequency discrimination velocity measurement. The new SAFDAN is the first instrument to measure the Doppler velocity of spacecraft relative to the Sun. | 6 | Numerical Investigation of the Centrifugal Compressor Stability Improvement by Half Vaned Low Solidity Diffusers显示文摘Centrifugal compressors for the fuel cell vehicles often operate near the surge line compared with the turbocharger compressors.Low solidity and half vaned diffusers are recognized as good ways to improve the stability of the centrifugal compressor.The presented work investigated four diffuser configurations (i.e.,the vaneless diffuser (VLD),full-height low solidity vaned diffuser (LSVD),hub-side half vaned diffuser (HVD) and shroud-side half vaned diffuser (SVD)) through steady-state and unsteady numerical simulations.The results show that the best performance is achieved by the LSVD,HVD and SVD at the design,surge and choke conditions.The flow rate at the surge operating point of the HVD has decreased by 15.53% compared with the LSVD,and 9.21% compared with the VLD.At near surge operating point,a longitudinal suction side passage vortex is formed on the hub of the LSVD and rotates as circumferential stall cells.A hairpin vortex is formed along the leading edge and is dragged by the main flow along the suction side as a local vortex shedding.The mechanism of the stability improvement by half vaned diffusers is that the tip leakage vortex migrates from the clearance side to the vane mounting side and replenishes the low-momentum zone on the mounting side.The best position where the half vaned diffuser should be mounted is based on the impeller outlet flow conditions,namely,the location of the wake region,where the meridional velocity and relative stagnation pressure is low. | CHEN Siyue ZUO Shuguang WEI Kaijun | 2021 | Journal of Thermal Science2021,30,2: | 1 |
| 7 | Recovery of Cu(Ⅱ) from aqueous solution by induced crystallization in a long-term operation显示文摘The feasibility of copper recovery by induced crystallization in a long period(174 days) was investigated in a seeded fluidized bed reactor(FBR). The process was divided into 3 periods according to different influent conditions, and the period III was separated into III-a and IIIb due to the adjustment of the molar ratio of CO_3^(2-)concentration to copper concentration([CT]/[Cu^(2+)]). The removal efficiency could exceed 95% and the average effluent copper concentration decreased to 3.0 mg/L. The mean particle size of seed grains with copper crystals coating on, raised to 0.36 mm from initial 0.18 mm. During period III-a, the supersaturation exceeded 2.88 × 104, the removal efficiency decreased to 60%–80% and the particle size dropped to 0.30 mm, due to the generation of fines by homogeneous crystallization and seeds breaking. And the morphology of the crystals on the seed grains changed from rod-like to spherical which lead to the particle size decreasing. In period III-b,the supersaturation was modified by adjusting the molar ratio of [CT]/[Cu2+] to 1.2 from 2.The efficiency was back to 95% and the mean particle size grew to 0.36 mm at the end of IIIb, the crystals coating on the seeds turned back to rod-like products of good stability. | 11 | Performance analysis and optimization of free cooling strategies for a liquid-cooled data center显示文摘The increasing power density of IT electronics and the enormous energy consumption of data centers lead to the urgent demand for efficient cooling technology.Due to its efficiency and safety,liquid-cooled heat sink technology may gradually replace air-cooled technology over time.With the ambient or higher water supply temperature,the liquid-cooled technology shortens the operating time of the chiller and improves its coefficient of performance,while the pump power consumption may increase for satisfying the constant cooling capacity.Therefore,it is significant to study the optimal water supply temperature to achieve energy-efficient operation of data centers.A virtual 30.1 kW data center is considered as the case,the liquid-cooled system is constructed with a combination of innovative manifold microchannel heat sink with oblique fins and indirect evaporative cooling technology to minimize energy consumption.A hybrid thermal management model integrating the heat dissipation model and the power consumption model is established by TRNSYS and FLUENT software.To the highest chip-safe operating temperature premise,the energy performance is analyzed under various water supply temperatures in Guangzhou.The result shows that only 21.5-hour mechanical cooling is needed with the 30℃server inlet temperature throughout the year.And the minimized power consumption occurs with the constant 29℃server inlet temperature.Moreover,the temperature adaptive control strategy(TACS)is adopted to test the cooling system power consumption under different regulation frequencies,and the by-week TACS can achieve another 11.5%energy saving than the minimum power consumption of the constant temperature control strategy. | Weinan Zhou Qin Sun Weimin Luo Wei Xiao Pengfei Cui Wei Wu Kaijun Dong | 2023 | Building Simulation2023,16,8: | 0 |
| 12 | Occurrence of Major Diseases and Insect Pests in Medium-term Growth Period of Sugarcane and The Diseases Resistance Evaluation in Guangxi显示文摘To figure out major diseases and insect pests of sugarcane and sugarcane resistance to diseases,the occurrence of major diseases and insect pests on 11 main sugarcane varieties in eight sugarcane producing areas of Guangxi was investigated during the medium-term growth period of sugarcane in 2015,and field resistance to smut and mosaic diseases was evaluated. The results showed that the dead heart rate( DHR) ranged from 0. 00% to 38. 55%; new-planting sugarcane of Guiliu 2 and ratoon sugarcane of Liucheng 05-136 suffered the most severe damage in Beihai city,and the DHR were 38. 55% and 37. 66%,respectively. The incidence rate of smut disease ranged from 0. 00% to 24. 89%. Ratoon sugarcane was more susceptible to smut than new-planting sugarcane among all investigated varieties. Variety ROC22 was most susceptible to smut,and performed moderate susceptibility. Guiliu 2 was the second susceptible and performed resistance,with the incidence rate of 7. 45%. The rest nine varieties had high resistance. Sugarcane mosaic disease occurred mildly in Guangxi,and the incidence rate ranged from 0. 39% to 7. 73%. ROC22,Guitang 42 and Guiliu 2 expressed moderate resistance and the rests exhibited resistance. Sugarcane in Nanning and Beihai suffered more severe damage than those in other producing areas. The field evaluation system of sugarcane resistance to borers was expected to be constructed. ROC22 was most susceptible to smut,compared with other main varieties. Mosaic diseases occurred lightly in Guangxi. Traditional breeding methods, molecular marker-based breedingapproaches and use of genetically modified crops have played a crucial role in strengthening the foodsecurity worldwide. However, their usages in crop improvement have been highly limited due to multiplecaveats. Genome editing tools like transcriptional activator-like effector nucleases and clustered regularlyinterspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR)-associated endonuclease Cas9 (CRISPR/Cas9) haveeffectively overcome limitations of the conventional breeding methods and are being widely accepted forimprovement of crops. Among the genome editing tools, the CRISPR/Cas9 system has emerged as themost powerful tool of genome editing because of its efficiency, amicability, flexibility, low cost andadaptability. Accumulated evidences indicate that genome editing has great potential in improving thedisease resistance in crop plants. In this review, we offered a brief introduction to the mechanisms of differentgenome editing systems and then discussed recent developments in CRISPR/Cas9 system-based genomeediting towards enhancement of rice disease resistance by different strategies. | 15 | A Conditionally Anonymous Linkable Ring Signature for Blockchain Privacy Protection显示文摘In recent years,the issue of preserving the privacy of parties involved in blockchain transactions has garnered significant attention.To ensure privacy protection for both sides of the transaction,many researchers are using ring signature technology instead of the original signature technology.However,in practice,identifying the signer of an illegal blockchain transaction once it has been placed on the chain necessitates a signature technique that offers conditional anonymity.Some illegals can conduct illegal transactions and evade the lawusing ring signatures,which offer perfect anonymity.This paper firstly constructs a conditionally anonymous linkable ring signature using the Diffie-Hellman key exchange protocol and the Elliptic Curve Discrete Logarithm,which offers a non-interactive process for finding the signer of a ring signature in a specific case.Secondly,this paper’s proposed scheme is proven correct and secure under Elliptic Curve Discrete Logarithm Assumptions.Lastly,compared to previous constructions,the scheme presented in this paper provides a non-interactive,efficient,and secure confirmation process.In addition,this paper presents the implementation of the proposed scheme on a personal computer,where the confirmation process takes only 2,16,and 24ms for ring sizes of 4,24 and 48,respectively,and the confirmation process can be combined with a smart contract on the blockchain with a tested millisecond level of running efficiency.In conclusion,the proposed scheme offers a solution to the challenge of identifying the signer of an illegal blockchain transaction,making it an essential contribution to the field. | Quan Zhou Yulong Zheng Minhui Chen Kaijun Wei | 2023 | Computer Systems Science & Engineering2023,47,12: | 0 |
| 16 | Effect of nitrogen addition on DOC leaching and chemical exchanges on canopy leaves in Guangdong Province, China显示文摘The impact of nitrogen(N)deposition on dissolved organic carbon(DOC)fractions in throughfall is not well understood.We performed a laboratory experiment and compared DOC leaching from canopy leaves after dipping leaves in pure water(control)and NH4NO3 solution(N-treatment)for 18 h.Net changes of DOC,NH4^+,NO3^-,SO4^2-,K^+,Mg^2+,Ca^2+and H^+contents after dipping leaves were determined by comparing solutions with and without leaves.We recorded no differences of DOC leaching between control and N-treatment,implying that N deposition had minor impacts on canopy DOC production.This confirmed that previous experiments testing the effects of N addition on DOC dynamics without considering the effects of the canopy reaction successfully described the real situation.We also confirmed the previously-reported canopy exchange process in spite of a high background N deposition at our study site.N-treatment significantly increased base cation leaching,especially K^+,and the increase was positively correlated with foliar NH4?retention.Net leaching of H^+and SO4^2-was not affected by the N-treatment. | Taiki Mori Kaijun Zhou Senhao Wang Wei Zhang Jiangming Mo | 2019 | Journal of Forestry Research2019,30,5: | 0 |
