A robust but variable lake expansion on the Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Lakes on the Tibetan Plateau(TP)are an indicator and sentinel of climatic changes[1].We extended lake area changes on the TP from 2010[2]to 2018,and provided a long and dense lake observations between the 1970s and 2018.We found that the number of lakes, with area larger than 1 km2,has in creased to?1,400 in 2018 from?1,000 in the 1970s.The total area of these lakes decreased between the 1970s and?1995,and then showed a robust increase, with the exception of a slight decrease in 2015.This expansion of the lakes on the highest plateau in rhe world is a response to a hydrological cycle intensified by recent climate changes[3]. | Guoqing Zhang Wei Luo Wenfeng Chen Guoxiong Zheng | 2019 | Science Bulletin2019,64,18: | 30
Quantum-inspired evolutionary tuning of SVM parameters显示文摘The most commonly used parameters selection method for support vector machines (SVM) is cross-validation, which needs a long- time complicated calculation. In this paper, a novel regularization parameter and a kernel parameter tuning approach of SVM are pre- sented based on quantum-inspired evolutionary algorithm (QEA). QEA with quantum chromosome and quantum mutation has better global search capacity. The parameters of least squares support vector machines (LS-SVM) can be adjusted using quantum-inspired evo- lutionary optimization. Classification and function estimation are studied using LS-SVM with wavelet kernel and Gaussian kernel. The simulation results show that the proposed approach can effectively tune the parameters of LS-SVM, and the improved LS-SVM with wavelet kernel can provide better precision. | Zhiyong Luo Ping Wang Yinguo Li Wenfeng Zhang Wei Tang Min Xiang | 2008 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2008,18,4: | 7
A Methodology for Reliability of WSN Based on Software Defined Network in Adaptive Industrial Environment显示文摘As communication technology and smart manufacturing have developed, the industrial internet of things(IIo T)has gained considerable attention from academia and industry.Wireless sensor networks(WSNs) have many advantages with broad applications in many areas including environmental monitoring, which makes it a very important part of IIo T. However, energy depletion and hardware malfunctions can lead to node failures in WSNs. The industrial environment can also impact the wireless channel transmission, leading to network reliability problems, even with tightly coupled control and data planes in traditional networks, which obviously also enhances network management cost and complexity. In this paper, we introduce a new software defined network(SDN), and modify this network to propose a framework called the improved software defined wireless sensor network(improved SD-WSN). This proposed framework can address the following issues. 1) For a large scale heterogeneous network, it solves the problem of network management and smooth merging of a WSN into IIo T. 2) The network coverage problem is solved which improves the network reliability. 3) The framework addresses node failure due to various problems, particularly related to energy consumption. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the reliability of wireless sensor networks, by developing certain schemes to reduce energy consumption and the delay time of network nodes under IIo T conditions. Experiments have shown that the improved approach significantly reduces the energy consumption of nodes and the delay time, thus improving the reliability of WSN. | Ying Duan Wenfeng Li Xiuwen Fu Yun Luo Lin Yang | 2018 | IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2018,5,1: | 7
The ACTIVE study protocol:apatinib or placebo plus gefitinib as first-line treatment for patients with EGFR-mutant advanced non-small cell lung cancer(CTONG1706)显示文摘Background:Gefitinib,as the first epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors(EGFR-TKI)approved for the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC),has been proved to significantly improve the progression-free survival(PFS)in the first-line setting but suffers from resistance 7-10 months after treatment initia-tion.Apatinib(YN968D1),a potent vascular endothelial growth factor receptor(VEGFR)2-TKI,specifically binds to VEGFR2 and leads to anti-angiogenetic and anti-neoplastic effect.Concurrent inhibition of VEGFR and EGFR path-ways represents a rational approach to improve treatment responses and delay the onset of treatment resistance in EGFR-mutant NSCLC.This ACTIVE study aims to assess the combination of apatinib and gefitinib as a new treatment approach for EGFR-mutant NSCLC as a first-line setting. Methods:This multicenter,randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled phase III study(NCT02824458)has been designed to assess the efficacy and safety of apatinib or placebo combined with gefitinib as a first-line treatment for patients with EGFR-mutant advanced NSCLC.A total of 310 patients with EGFR-mutation(19del or 21L858R),pathological stage IIIB to IV non-squamous NSCLC were to be enrolled. The primary endpoint is investigator assessment of PFS,and the secondary endpoints include independent radiological central(IRC)-confirmed PFS,overall survival(OS),objective response rate(ORR),disease control rate(DCR),time to progressive disease(TTPD),duration of response(DoR),quality of life(QoL)and safety. The patients are randomized in a 1:1 ratio to receive gefitinib(250 mg,p.o.q.d.)plus apatinib(500 mg,p.o.q.d.)or gefitinib plus placebo, given until disease progression or intolerable adverse events.Exploratory biomarker analysis will be performed. This study is being conducted across China and comprises of 30 participating centers.Enrollment commenced in August 2017 and finished in December 2018,most of the patients are in the follow-up period.Anticipated outcomes and significance:The present study will be the first to evaluate the efficacy and safety profile of the combination of apatinib plus gefitinib as a first-line therapy for patients with EGFR-positive advanced non-squamous NSCLC.Importantly, this trial will provide comprehensive evidence on the treatment of EGFR-TKIs combined with antiangiogenic therapy. | Zhonghan Zhang Fan Luo Yang Zhang Yuxiang Ma Shaodong Hong Yunpeng Yang Wenfeng Fang Yan Huang Li Zhang Hongyun Zhao | 2019 | Cancer Communications2019,39,1: | 5
Effect of Lactobacillus salivarius H strain isolated from Chinese dry-cured ham on the color stability of fresh pork显示文摘The aim of this research is to investigate the effect of lactic acid bacteria(LAB)on color stability of fresh pork.Of the seven LAB strains isolated from the Chinese dry-cured hams,H strain was identified as Lactobacillus salivarius(CCTCC M2010374)by serial biochemical tests and 16S rRNA analysis. The fresh pork samples were immersed in the H strain and Lactobacillus fermentum extracts for 1 min after ultrasonic cells disruption and samples immersed in sterile 0.9%(m/V)saline was served as a control group, then samples were vacuum packaged and stored at 4◦C.Nitrate oxide synthase(NOS)and metmyoglobin(MetMb)reductase were found in the cells extracts of H strain. After 6 days of storage,H strain group was found to be associated with the highest CIE a*values(P<0.05)and the lowest MetMb(41%).L.salivarius H strain has thus shown a beneficial effect on the color stability of fresh pork.Further research is necessary to elucidate its mechanism.©2013 Beijing Academy of Food Sciences.Production and hosting by Elsevier B.V.All rights reserved. | Zhen Luo Vincent Gasasira Yuhui Huang Dengyong Liu Xihong Yang Shihong Jiang Wenfeng Hu | 2013 | Food Science and Human Wellness2013,2,3: | 3
Can soil respiration estimate neglect the contribution of abiotic exchange?显示文摘This study examines the hypothesis that soil respiration can always be interpreted purely in terms of biotic processes, neglecting the contribution of abiotic exchange to CO2 fluxes in alkaline soils of arid areas that characterize 5% of the Earth's total land surface. Analyses on flux data collected from previous studies suggested reconciling soil respiration as organic(root/microbial respiration) and inorganic(abiotic CO2 exchange) respiration, whose contributions in the total CO2 flux were determined by soil alkaline content. On the basis of utilizing meteorological and soil data collected from the Xinjiang and Central Asia Scientific Data Sharing Platform, an incorporated model indicated that inorganic respiration represents almost half of the total CO2 flux. Neglecting the abiotic module may result in overestimates of soil respiration in arid alkaline lands, which partly explains the long-sought 'missing carbon sink'. | Xi CHEN WenFeng WANG GePing LUO Hui YE | 2014 | Journal of Arid Land2014,6,2: | 3
Nobiletin downregulates the SKP2-p21/p27-CDK2 axis to inhibit tumor progression and shows synergistic effects with palbociclib on renal cell carcinoma显示文摘Objective:Natural extracts, including nobiletin, have been reported to enhance the efficacy and sensitivity of chemotherapeutic drugs. However, whether and how nobiletin affects tumor growth and progression in renal cell carcinoma(RCC)are still unclear. Methods:Cell proliferation, cell cycle and apoptosis analyses,colony-formation assays, immunoblotting analysis, and q RT-PCR analysis were performed to investigate how nobiletin affected RCC cell proliferation in vitro. The nude mouse model was used to test the efficacy of nobiletin alone or in combination with palbociclib. Results:Nobiletin inhibited cell proliferation by inducing G1 cell cycle arrest and cell apoptosis in RCC cells.Mechanistically, nobiletin decreased SKP2 protein expression by reducing its transcriptional level. The downregulated SKP2 caused accumulation of its substrates,p27 and p21,which further inhibited the activity of the G1 phase-related protein,CDK2,leading to inhibition of cell proliferation and tumor formation.A higher SKP2 protein level indicated less sensitivity to the CDK4/6 inhibitor, palbociclib.A combination of nobiletin and palbociclib showed a synergistic tumor inhibition in vitro and in an in vivo model. Conclusions:Nobiletin downregulated the SKP2-p21/p27-CDK2 axis to inhibit tumor progression and showed synergistic tumor inhibition effects with the CDK4/6 inhibitor, palbociclib,on RCC,which indicates a potential new therapeutic strategy. | Tingting Chen Liu Liu Yonghong Zou Xiaoyan Hu Wenfeng Zhang Tao Zhou Xi Luo Weihua Fu Jie Xu | 2021 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,1: | 3
Modeling the contribution of abiotic exchange to CO_2 flux in alkaline soils of arid areas显示文摘Recent studies on alkaline soils of arid areas suggest a possible contribution of abiotic exchange to soil CO2 flux(Fc).However, both the overall contribution of abiotic CO2 exchange and its drivers remain unknown. Here we analyzed the environmental variables suggested as possible drivers by previous studies and constructed a function of these variables to model the contribution of abiotic exchange to Fc in alkaline soils of arid areas. An automated flux system was employed to measure Fc in the Manas River Basin of Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region,China.Soil pH,soil temperature at 0–5 cm(Ts),soil volumetric water content at 0–5 cm(θs)and air temperature at10 cm above the soil surface(Tas)were simultaneously analyzed. Results highlight reduced sensitivity of Fc to Ts and good prediction of Fc by the model Fc=R10Q10(Tas–10)/10+r7q7(pH–7)+λTas+μθs+e which represents Fc as a sum of biotic and abiotic components. This presents an approximate method to quantify the contribution of soil abiotic CO2 exchange to Fc in alkaline soils of arid areas. | WenFeng WANG Xi CHEN GePing LUO LongHui LI | 2014 | Journal of Arid Land2014,6,1: | 2
Influence factors for the oxidation of pyrite by oxygen and birnessite in aqueous systems显示文摘The oxidation of exposed pyrite causes acid mine drainage, soil acidification, and the release of toxic metal ions. As the important abiotic oxidants in supergene environments, oxygen and manganese oxides participate in the oxidation of pyrite. In this work, the oxidation processes of natural pyrite by oxygen and birnessite were studied in simulated systems, and the influence of p H, Fe(II) and Cr(III) on the intermediates and redox rate was investigated. SO42-and elemental S were formed as the major and minor products, respectively, during the oxidation processes. Ferric(hydr) oxides including Fe(OH)3and goethite were formed with low degree of crystallinity. Low p H and long-term reaction facilitated the formation of goethite and ferric hydroxide, respectively. The rate of pyrite oxidation by birnessite was enhanced in the presence of air(oxygen), and Fe(II) ions played a key role in the redox process. The addition of Fe(II) ions to the reaction system significantly enhanced the oxidation rate of pyrite; however, the presence of Cr(III) ions remarkably decreased the pyrite oxidation rate in aqueous systems. The introduction of Fe(II) ions to form a Fe(III)/Fe(II) redox couple facilitated the electron transfer and accelerated the oxidation rate of pyrite. The present work suggests that isolation from air and decreasing the concentration of Fe(II) ions in aqueous solutions might be effective strategies to reduce the oxidation rate of pyrite in mining soils. | Guohong Qiu Yao Luo Cheng Chen Qiang Lv Wenfeng Tan Fan Liu Chengshuai Liu | 2016 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2016,28,7: | 2
Geostatistical Analysis of Spatial Distribution and Dynamics of Dead Heart of Sugarcane Seedlings Caused by Borer显示文摘Dead heart of sugarcane is an important symptom caused by borer attack. In the present study, the spatial distribution and dynamics of dead heart of sugarcane in the field were investigated based on geostatistical analysis, and semivariograms were computed in four separate directions(0°, 45°, 90° and 135°) and fitted with various theoretical models to determine the best fitted one. The Ordinary Kriging was used to interpolate spatial data. The results revealed that the density of dead hearts of sugarcane increased in a single-peak pattern, and the degree of spatial aggregation and random variation both decreased with the increase in the density of dead heart. In addition, dead heart of sugarcane caused by borer exhibited spatial aggregation. With the increase in the density of dead heart, the degree of spatial aggregation decreased, while the correlation increased. Kriging interpolation indicated that the correlation between the spatial patches was weak in early seedling stage, and became strong in middle and late seedling stage. | Zhiming LUO Jiong YIN Wenfeng LI Rongyue ZHANG Hongli SHAN Xiaoyan WANG Yingkun HUANG | 2017 | Agricultural Science & Technology2017,18,4: | 2
