1Seismic damage analysis of the outlet piers of arch dams using the finite element sub-model method显示文摘This study aims to analyze seismic damage of reinforced outlet piers of arch dams by the nonlinear finite element(FE) sub-model method. First, the dam–foundation system is modeled and analyzed, in which the effects of infinite foundation, contraction joints, and nonlinear concrete are taken into account. The detailed structures of the outlet pier are then simulated with a refined FE model in the sub-model analysis. In this way the damage mechanism of the plain(unreinforced) outlet pier is analyzed, and the effects of two reinforcement measures(i.e., post-tensioned anchor cables and reinforcing bar) on the dynamic damage to the outlet pier are investigated comprehensively. Results show that the plain pier is damaged severely by strong earthquakes while implementation of post-tensioned anchor cables strengthens the pier effectively. 2CDK7-YAP-LDHD axis promotes D-lactate elimination and ferroptosis defense to support cancer stem cell-like properties显示文摘Reprogrammed cellular metabolism is essential for maintaining cancer stem cells(CSCs)state.Here,we report that mitochondrial D-lactate catabolism is a necessary initiating oncogenic event during tumorigenesis of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC).We discover that cyclin-dependent kinase 7(CDK7)phosphorylates nuclear Yes-associated protein 1(YAP)at S127 and S397 sites and enhances its transcription function,which promotes D-lactate dehydrogenase(LDHD)protein expression.Moreover,LDHD is enriched significantly in ESCC-CSCs rather than differentiated tumor cells and high LDHD status is connected with poor prognosis in ESCC patients.Mechanistically,the CDK7-YAP-LDHD axis helps ESCC-CSCs escape from ferroptosis induced by D-lactate and generates pyruvate to satisfy energetic demands for their elevated self-renewal potential.Hence,we conclude that esophageal CSCs adopt a D-lactate elimination and pyruvate accumulation mode dependent on CDK7-YAP-LDHD axis,which drives stemness-associated hallmarks of ESCC-CSCs.Reasonably,targeting metabolic checkpoints may serve as an effective strategy for ESCC therapy.Mengzhu Lv Ying Gong Xuesong Liu Yan Wang Qingnan Wu Jie Chen Qingjie Min Dongyu Zhao Xianfeng Li Dongshao Chen Di Yang Danna Yeerken Rui Liu Jinting Li Weimin Zhang Qimin Zhan 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,9:1
3Enhanced properties of solid solution (CeZr)O_2 modified with metal oxides for catalytic oxidation of low-concentration methane显示文摘The solid solution(Ce Zr)O_2 catalyst was synthesized, and it was modified with metal oxides by incipient impregnation. Morphology and structure were characterized by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscope, nitrogen ad/desorption and H_2-temperature program reduction techniques. The catalytic properties of methane oxidation were also investigated. The results showed that solid solution possessed a mesoporous structure and exhibited excellent catalytic performance. The activity of solid solution was improved effectively by nickel doping, and the optimal loading is 15 wt%. 4Enhanced hydrogen storage properties of NaBH_(4)–Mg(BH_(4))_(2) composites by NdF_(3) addition显示文摘As two important members of complex hydrides,Mg(BH_(4))2 and Na BH_(4) have a high gravimetric capacity(14.9 and10.8 wt%,respectively).In this study,the Mg(BH_(4))2 was synthesized by the ion exchange method.Afterwards,the Mg(BH_(4))_(2) and Na BH_(4) composites with different amounts(30,40 and 50 wt%)of NdF3 were prepared by mechanical milling.Effects of the Nd F3 on the microstructural evolution and hydrogen storage properties were investigated.The results show that Nd F3catalyst can significantly improve the dehydrogenation kinetics of the eutectic composites of Na BH_(4)–Mg(BH_(4))_(2).The onset hydrogen desorption temperature of the composites is about88.6C,which is about 110C lower than that of Mg(BH_(4))_(2)and Na BH_(4)composites.Mg(BH_(4))_(2)–Na BH_(4)-0.5NdF3composites can released 5.2 wt%H_(2)at 250C within 30 min,and the dehydrogenation capacity is significantly higher than that of Mg(BH_(4))_(2)–Na BH_(4)composites.The analysis of the dehydrogenation mechanism reveals that NdF3takes participate in the reaction to generate Na MgF3 to promote the dehydrogenation reaction process of the composites.Jianguang Yuan Jinting Chen Haixiang Huang Yujie Lv Bogu Liu Zhongyu Li Bao Zhang Wei Lv Ying Wu 2021Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2021,31,4:1

6CoSe_(2)supported single Pt site catalysts for hydrogen peroxide generation via two-electron oxygen reduction显示文摘Electrocatalytic oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)to prepare H_(2)O_(2)in acidic medium has the advantages of green,safety,and portability,which shows broad development prospects.However,it still suffers from low catalyst activity,insufficient selectivity,and high cost.Herein,Pt_(1)/CoSe_(2)with ultralow 0.01 wt.%Pt atomic distribution was synthesized by a simple hydrothermal method.The Pt_(1)/CoSe_(2)with ultralow Pt content exhibits high activity,high selectivity,and long-term stability for ORR to H_(2)O_(2)in O_(2)-saturated 0.1 M HClO_(4).The onset potential is as low as 0.75 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE),H_(2)O_(2)selectivity is as high as 84%(0.4 V vs.RHE),and the electron transfer number is 2.3(0.4 V vs.RHE).Moreover,the hydrogen peroxide yield using the flow cell testing is 110.02 mmol g_(cat).^(−1)h^(−1) with high Faradaic efficiency of 78%(0 V vs.RHE)at 0.1 M HClO_(4),and the catalyst did not deactivate significantly after 60 h stability testing.Mechanistic studies and in situ X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy characterization confirm that the ultralow Pt content on CoSe_(2)can effectively regulate the electronic structure of Co as the real active site around the Pt site,which gives a suitable Δ_(dp) value(the difference between the d-band center of the active metal site and the p-band center of the terminal oxygen in*OOH),provides an ideal*OOH binding energy,and inhibits the O-O bond breakage.This work successfully improves the intrinsic activity of the Co active sites around Pt in Pt_(1)/CoSe_(2)for acidic ORR to H_(2)O_(2)by constructing ultralow-content Pt single atom.Xiao-Dong Zhu Qian Zhang Xiaoxuan Yang Yingnan Wang Jinting Wu Jian Gao Ji-Jun Zou Gang Wu Yong-Chao Zhang 2023SusMat2023,3,3:0
