1An h-adaptive Discontinuous Galerkin Method for Laminar Compressible Navier-Stokes Equations on Curved Mesh显示文摘An h-adaptive method is developed for high-order discontinuous Galerkin methods(DGM)to solve the laminar compressible Navier-Stokes(N-S)equations on unstructured mesh.The vorticity is regarded as the indicator of adaptivity.The elements where the vorticity is larger than a pre-defined upper limit are refined,and those where the vorticity is smaller than a pre-defined lower limit are coarsened if they have been refined.A high-order geometric approximation of curved boundaries is adopted to ensure the accuracy.Numerical results indicate that highly accurate numerical results can be obtained with the adaptive method at relatively low expense.Sun Qiang L yu Hongqiang Wu Yizhao 2016Transactions of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics2016,33,5:2
2Automatic differentiation based discrete adjoint method for aerodynamic design optimization on unstructured meshes显示文摘A systematic methodology for formulating,implementing,solving and verifying discrete adjoint of the compressible Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS) equations for aerodynamic design optimization on unstructured meshes is proposed.First,a general adjoint formulation is constructed for the entire optimization problem,including parameterization,mesh deformation,flow solution and computation of the objective function,which is followed by detailed formulations of matrix-vector products arising in the adjoint model.According to this formulation,procedural components of implementing the required matrix-vector products are generated by means of automatic differentiation(AD) in a structured and modular manner.Furthermore,a duality-preserving iterative algorithm is employed to solve flow adjoint equations arising in the adjoint model,ensuring identical convergence rates for the tangent and the adjoint models.A three-step strategy is adopted to verify the adjoint computation.The proposed method has several remarkable features:the use of AD techniques avoids tedious and error-prone manual derivation and programming;duality is strictly preserved so that consistent and highly accurate discrete sensitivities can be obtained;and comparable efficiency to hand-coded implementation can be achieved.Upon the current discrete adjoint method,a gradient-based optimization framework has been developed and applied to a drag reduction problem.Yisheng Gao Yizhao Wu Jian Xia 2017Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2017,30,2:1
3Implicit discontinuous Galerkin method on agglomerated high-order grids for 3D simulations显示文摘High quality of geometry representation is regarded essential for high-order methods to maintain their high-order accuracy. An agglomerated high-order mesh generating method is investigated in combination with discontinuous Galerkin(DG) method for solving the 3D compressible Euler and Navier-Stokes equations. In this method, a fine linear mesh is first generated by standard commercial mesh generation tools. By taking advantage of an agglomeration method, a quadratic high-order mesh is quickly obtained, which is coarse but provides a high-quality geometry representation, thus very suitable for high-order computations. High-order discretizations are performed on the obtained grids with DG method and the discretized system is treated fully implicitly to obtain steady state solutions. Numerical experiments on several flow problems indicate that the agglomerated high-order mesh works well with DG method in dealing with flow problems of curved geometries. 10Evaluation of the Shallow Gas Hydrate Production Based on the Radial Drilling-Heat Injection-Back Fill Method显示文摘It has been evidenced that shallow gas hydrate resources are abundant in deep oceans worldwide.Their geological back-ground,occurrence,and other characteristics differ significantly from deep-seated hydrates.Because of the high risk of well construction and low production efficiency,they are difficult to be recovered by using conventional oil production methods.As a result,this paper proposes an alternative design based on a combination of radial drilling,heat injection,and backfilling methods.Multi-branch holes are used to penetrate shallow gas hydrate reservoirs to expand the depressurization area,and heat injection is utilized as a supplement to improve gas production.Geotechnical information collected from an investigation site close to the offshore production well in the South China Sea is used to assess the essential components of this plan,including well construction stability and gas production behavior.It demonstrates that the hydraulic fracturing of the 60mbsf overburden layer can be prevented by regulating the drilling fluid densities.However,the traditional well structure is unstable,and the suction anchor is advised for better mechanical performance.The gas produc-tion rate can be significantly increased by combining hot water injection and depressurization methods.Additionally,the suitable produc-tion equipment already in use is discussed.CHEN Qiang WAN Yizhao WU Nengyou SUN Jianye WANG Jian LIU Changling LI Yanlong LI Chengfeng HU Gaowei 2024Journal of Ocean University of China2024,23,1:0
11Behavior and respiration responses of the earthworm Eisenia fetida to soil arsenite pollution显示文摘Soil arsenic(As)pollution from mining and industrial sources is a serious issue in China.Earthworms are considered ecosystem engineers and contribute to soil fertility development and maintenance of soil physico-chemical properties.In this study,earthworms were exposed to soils with different sodium arsenite concentrations(0,5,20,and 80 mg As kg^(-1))for 60 d to investigate the changes in soil properties and the responses of the earthworms(e.g.,burrowing activity and respiration).Earthworm burrowing activity decreased with increasing arsenite concentrations,and earthworm respiration was significantly lower in soils with 20 and 80 mg As kg^(-1) compared to 0 mg As kg^(-1).Changes in soil properties were also observed after incubation of As-amended soil with earthworms.Specifically,soil pH decreased,while soil electrical conductivity and contents of soil NH3--N,Olsen-P,and available K increased.Our results suggest that arsenite negatively impacts the metabolic activity of earthworms,leading to reduced burrowing activity,which in turn modifies the effects of earthworms on soil fertility and remediation.Yali WANG Yizhao WU Jo CAVANAGH Xiuhong WANG Jiangping QIU Yinsheng LI 2021Pedosphere2021,31,3:0
12SOLUTION OF 3-D TURBULENCE NAVIER-STOKES EQUATIONS USING HYBRID GRIDS显示文摘Hybrid grids are used for the solution of 3D turbulence Navier Stokes equations. The prismatic grids are generated near the wall, and the tetrahedron grids are generated in the other field. A Navier Stokes solver using Jamson′s finite volume method is developed. The algebraic Baldwin Lomax turbulence model is adopted.
