| 1 | Magnetic plasmon resonances in nanostructured topological insulators for strongly enhanced light-MoS_(2) interactions显示文摘Magnetic resonances not only play crucial roles in artificial magnetic materials but also offer a promising way for light control and interaction with matter.Recently,magnetic resonance effects have attracted special attention in plasmonic systems for overcoming magnetic response saturation at high frequencies and realizing high-performance optical functionalities.As novel states of matter,topological insulators(TIs)present topologically protected conducting surfaces and insulating bulks in a broad optical range,providing new building blocks for plasmonics.However,until now,high-frequency(e.g.visible range)magnetic resonances and related applications have not been demonstrated in TI systems.Herein,we report for the first time,to our knowledge,a kind of visible range magnetic plasmon resonances(MPRs)in TI structures composed of nanofabricated Sb_(2)Te_(3) nanogrooves.The experimental results show that the MPR response can be tailored by adjusting the nanogroove height,width,and pitch,which agrees well with the simulations and theoretical calculations.Moreover,we innovatively integrated monolayer MoS_(2) onto a TI nanostructure and observed strongly reinforced light-MoS_(2) interactions induced by a significant MPR-induced electric field enhancement,remarkable compared with TI-based electric plasmon resonances(EPRs).The MoS_(2) photoluminescence can be flexibly tuned by controlling the incident light polarization.These results enrich TI optical physics and applications in highly efficient optical functionalities as well as artificial magnetic materials at high frequencies. | Hua Lu Zengji Yue Yangwu Li Yinan Zhang Mingwen Zhang Wei Zeng Xuetao Gan Dong Mao Fajun Xiao Ting Mei Weiyao Zhao Xiaolin Wang Min Gu Jianlin Zhao | 2020 | Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1: | 3 |
| 2 | Porous-hollow nanorods constructed from alternate intercalation of carbon and MoS2 monolayers for lithium and sodium storage显示文摘Weak ion diffusion and electron transport due to limited interlayer spacing and poor electrical conductivity have been identified as critical roadbacks for fast and abundant energy storage of both MoS2-based lithium ion batteries (LIBs) and sodium ion batteries (SIBs). In this work, MoS2 porous-hollow nanorods (MoS2/m-C800) have been designed and synthesized via an annealing-followed chemistry-intercalated strategy to solve the two issues. They are uniformly assembled from ultrathin MoS2 nanosheets, deviated to the rod-axis direction, with expanded interlayer spacing due to alternate intercalation of N-doped carbon monolayers between the adjacent MoS2 monolayers. Electrochemical studies of the MoS2/m-C800 sample, as an anode of LIBs, demonstrate that the superstructure can deliver a reversible discharge capacity of 1,170 mAh·g^-1 after 100 cycles at 0.2 A·g^-1 and maintain a reversible capacity of 951 mAh·g^-1 at 1.25 A·g^-1 after 350 cycles. While for SIBs, the superstructure also delivers a reversible discharge capacity of 350 mAh·g^-1 at 0.5 A-g-1 after 500 cycles and exhibits superior rate capacity of 238 mAh·g^-1 at 15 A·g^-1 .The excellent electrochemical performance is closely related with the hierarchical superstructures, including expanded interlayer spacing, alternate intercalation of carbon monolayers and mesoporous feature, which effectively reduce ion diffusion barrier, shorten ion diffusion paths and improve electrical conductivity. | Laiying Jing Gang Lian Junru Wang Mingwen Zhao Xizheng Liu Qilong Wang Deliang Cui Ching-Ping Wong | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,8: | 3 |
| 3 | The Functional Characterization of Bat and Human P[3] Rotavirus VP8*s显示文摘P[3]rotavirus(RV)has been identified in many species,including human,simian,dog,and bat.Several glycans,including sialic acid,histo-blood group antigens(HBGAs)are reported as RV attachment factors.The glycan binding specificity of different P[3]RV VP8*s were investigated in this study.Human HCR3 A and dog P[3]RV VP8*s recognized glycans with terminal sialic acid and hemagglutinated the red blood cells,while bat P[3]VP8*showed neither binding to glycans nor hemagglutination.However,the bat P[3]VP8*mutant of C189 Y obtained the ability to hemagglutinate the red blood cells,while human P[3]HCR3 A/M2-102 mutants of Y189 C lost the ability.Sequence alignment and structural analysis indicated that residue 189 played an important role in the ligand recognition and may contribute to the cross-species transmission.Structural superimposition exhibited that bat P[3]VP8*model was quite different from the simian P[3]Rhesus rotavirus(RRV)P[3]VP8*,indicating that bat P[3]RV was relatively distinct and partially contributed to the no binding to tested glycans.These results promote our understanding of P[3]VP8*/glycans interactions and the potential transmission of bat/human P[3]RVs,offering more insight into the RV infection and prevalence. | Dandi Li Mengxuan Wang Tongyao Mao Mingwen Wang Qing Zhang Hong Wang Lili Pang Xiaoman Sun Zhaojun Duan | 2021 | Virologica Sinica2021,36,5: | 3 |
| 4 | Construction and electrochemical mechanism investigation of hierarchical core-shell like composite as high performance anode for potassium ion batteries显示文摘Potassium-ion batteries(PIBs)are promising candidates for next-generation energy storage devices due to the earth abundance of potassium,low cost,and stable redox potentials.However,the lack of promising high-performance electrode materials for the intercalation/deintercalation of large potassium ions is a major challenge up to date.Herein,we report a novel uniform nickel selenide nanoparticles encapsulated in nitrogen-doped carbon(defined as“NiSe@NC”)as an anode for PIBs,which exhibits superior rate performance and cyclic stability.Benefiting from the unique hierarchical core-shell like nanostructure,the intrinsic properties of metal-selenium bonds,synergetic effect of different components,and a remarkable pseudocapacitance effect,the anode exhibits a very high reversible capacity of 438 mA·h·g^(-1)at 50 mA·g^(-1),an excellent rate capability,and remarkable cycling performance over 2,000 cycles.The electrochemical mechanism were investigated by the in-situ X-ray diffraction,ex-situ high-resolution transmission electron microscopy,selected area electron diffraction,and first principle calculations.In addition,NiSe@NC anode also shows high reversible capacity of 512 mA·h·g^(-1)at 100 mA·g^(-1)with 84%initial Coulombic efficiency,remarkable rate performance,and excellent cycling life for sodium ion batteries.We believe the proposed simple approach will pave a new way to synthesize suitable anode materials for secondary ion batteries. | Nadeem Hussain Suyuan Zeng Zhenyu Feng Yanjun Zhai Chunsheng Wang Mingwen Zhao Yitai Qian Liqiang Xu | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,10: | 1 |

| 8 | Molecular pore-wall engineering of mesozeolitic conjugated polymers for photoredox hydrogen production with visible light显示文摘A chemical protocol based on molecular engineering of polymeric matrix is developed for the chemical optimization of ordered mesoporous carbon nitride(OMCN) in this study to address the concerns on the serious nanostructure-induced semiconductive defects, in particular the remarkable hypsochromic shift of absorption threshold and the increased excition dissociation energy. Physical characterizations demonstrate that the successful incorporation of 3-aminothiophene-2-carbonitrile(ATCN) aromatic donor in OMCN matrix can efficiently extend the π-conjugated system, red-shift the optical absorption toward longer wavelengths and promote exciton splitting, thus well overcoming the serious semiconductive defects. In addition, the unique structural benefits of OMCN, such as the well-orientated nanoarchitectures with large specific surface area and uniform nanosized pore, have been well remained in ATCN-modified sample(OMCNA) via adjusting the ATCN/cyanamide molar ratio to minimize the unavoidable matrix disturbance.
