1Impending HRT wave precursors to the Wenchuan M_s8.0 earthquake and methods of earthquake impending prediction by using HRT wave显示文摘We deployed four geo-electric monitoring stations in Sichuan and Yunnan provinces from 2004, using the new generation of equipment (PS-100) and technologies to capture the HRT wave earthquake precursor. Before the Wenchuan Ms8.0 earthquake, we recorded the HRT wave precursor at the only operating station in Hongge (HG, Δ=465 km) and found that significant impending signal had been recorded at the station in the early morning ( 0―5 am) of 12th of May, 2008. The precursor for this earthquake is consistent with precursors recorded for other strong earthquakes. The measured physical properties (geo-resistivity and telluric-current) show tidal wave period oscillations from several days to several months before the earthquakes and the amplitude of such HT oscillation increases significantly towards the occurrence of an earthquake. These HT and RT waves from the epicenter have a causal relationship with the earthquakes that happened several days later. The arrival time of two RT waves is proportional to the distance from the station to the epicenter. The estimated natural decay of the amplitude is correlated with the natural period (T0) of the earthquake fault, which is proportional to the fault length. From this relationship, we can predict the earthquake magnitude. For magnitude 6―9 earthquakes, the natural period is about 1―6 hours. Such oscillation comes from the epicenter area and they can propagate several thousand kilometers in the Earth's crust. Before a strong earthquake in the shallow crust, the conductive pore fluid will experience major changes before the fault rapture. Such fluid change will emit an oscillation in the pore fluid pressure. This is the mechanism for the HRT wave generation. Since the China Earthquake Administration funded the HRT wave short-term earth-quake prediction project in 2003, the first record of HRT precursor wave has been recorded from the 2004-12-26 Sumatra Mw9.0 earthquake with the largest epicentre distance Δ=2900 km. Thereafter, we have captured HRT waves from more than twenty strong earthquakes, which are well-matched and show repeatability, consistency and regularity. All our observation with the HRT waves demonstrate that HRT wave precursors to earthquakes indeed exist. Strong earthquakes can be predicted and short-term and impending earthquake prediction is achievable in the very near future. 2An Examination of the Predictability of Tropical Cyclone Genesis in High-Resolution Coupled Models with Dynamically Downscaled Coupled Data Assimilation Initialization显示文摘Predicting tropical cyclone(TC)genesis is of great societal importance but scientifically challenging.It requires fineresolution coupled models that properly represent air−sea interactions in the atmospheric responses to local warm sea surface temperatures and feedbacks,with aid from coherent coupled initialization.This study uses three sets of highresolution regional coupled models(RCMs)covering the Asia−Pacific(AP)region initialized with local observations and dynamically downscaled coupled data assimilation to evaluate the predictability of TC genesis in the West Pacific.The APRCMs consist of three sets of high-resolution configurations of the Weather Research and Forecasting−Regional Ocean Model System(WRF-ROMS):27-km WRF with 9-km ROMS,and 9-km WRF with 3-km ROMS.In this study,a 9-km WRF with 9-km ROMS coupled model system is also used in a case test for the predictability of TC genesis.Since the local sea surface temperatures and wind shear conditions that favor TC formation are better resolved,the enhanced-resolution coupled model tends to improve the predictability of TC genesis,which could be further improved by improving planetary boundary layer physics,thus resolving better air−sea and air−land interactions.Mingkui LI Shaoqing ZHANG Lixin WU Xiaopei LIN Ping CHANG Gohkan DANABASOGLU Zhiqiang WEI Xiaolin YU Huiqin HU Xiaohui MA Weiwei MA Haoran ZHAO Dongning JIA Xin LIU Kai MAO Youwei MA Yingjing JIANG Xue WANG Guangliang LIU Yuhu CHEN 2020Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2020,37,9:4

4Effects of minocycline on apoptosis and angiogenesis-related protein expression in a rat model of intracerebral hemorrhage显示文摘In the present study, a rat model of non-traumatic intracerebral hemorrhage was established by type IV collagenase injection into the right globus pallidus. Bax and Bcl-2 expression in tissues surrounding hematomas was significantly increased within 14 days after injury, and it then gradually decreased. Vascular endothelial growth factor, Flk-1 and Flt-1 mRNA expression gradually increased over time. After intraperitoneal injection with minocycline, Bax expression was decreased 1 day after intracerebral hemorrhage. Flk-1 and Flt-1 mRNA expression was decreased after minocycline injection, but Bcl-2 expression was increased, and vascular endothelial growth factor mRNA expression was decreased between 4-14 days. These results indicated that protective effects of minocycline on nerve tissues were associated with increased Bcl-2 expression and decreased Bax expression in the early stage after intracerebral hemorrhage. 5Electrical conductivities of two granite samples in southern Tibet and their geophysical implications显示文摘There are clear differences in the electrical conductivities of the crustal granites of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.Because these granites are among the major rock types on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, it is very important to detect the electrical conductivity of granites under high temperatures and pressures to study the electrical conductivity structure of this area. Using impedance spectroscopy at a frequency range of 10.1–106 Hz, the electrical conductivity of the muscovite-granite collected from Yadong was investigated at a confining pressure of 1.0 GPa and temperatures ranging from 577 to 996 K, while the electrical conductivity of the biotite-granite collected from Lhasa was investigated at a pressure of 1.0 GPa and temperatures ranging from587 to 1382 K. The calculated activation enthalpies of the Yadong muscovite-granite sample is 0.92 eV in the low-temperature range(577–919 K) and 2.16 eV in the high-temperature range(919–996 K). The activation enthalpies of the Lhasa biotite-granite sample is 0.48 eV in the low-temperature range(587–990 K) and 2.06 eV in the high-temperature range(990–1382 K). The change in the activation enthalpies of the granites at different temperature ranges may be associated with the dehydration of the two samples. The electrical conductivities of the granite samples obtained in the laboratory using impedance spectroscopy correspond well with field observations conducted near the sampling points, both in terms of the actual conductivity values and the observed variations between the low-temperature and high-temperature regimes. This correlation of laboratory and field conductivities indicates that the conductivities of the crustal rocks in the two regions closely correspond to granite conductivities.We calculated the electrical conductivities of muscovite-granite and biotite-granite samples using the effective medium and HS boundary models. When applied to the crustal rocks of southern Tibet, the results of the geophysical conductivity profiles lie within the range of laboratory data. 15The two-stage interaction of Ebola virus VP40 with nucleoprotein results in a switch from viral RNA synthesis to virion assembly/ budding显示文摘Ebola virus(EBOV)is an enveloped negative-sense RNA virus and a member of the filovirus family.Nucleoprotein(NP)expression alone leads to the formation of inclusion bodies(IBs),which are critical for viral RNA synthesis.The matrix protein,VP40,not only plays a critical role in virus assembly/budding,but also can regulate transcription and replication of the viral genome.However,the molecular mechanism by which VP40 regulates viral RNA synthesis and virion assembly/budding is unknown.Here,we show that within IBs the N-terminus of NP recruits VP40 and is required for VLP-containing NP release.Furthermore,we find four point mutations(L692A,P697A,P698A and W699A)within the C-terminal hydrophobic core of NP result in a stronger VP40–NP interaction within IBs,sequestering VP40 within IBs,reducing VP40–VLP egress,abolishing the incorporation of NC-like structures into VP40–VLP,and inhibiting viral RNA synthesis,suggesting that the interaction of N-terminus of NP with VP40 induces a conformational change in the C-terminus of NP.Consequently,the C-terminal hydrophobic core of NP is exposed and binds VP40,thereby inhibiting RNA synthesis and initiating virion assembly/budding.Linjuan Wu Dongning Jin Dan Wang Xuping Jing Peng Gong Yali Qin Mingzhou Chen 2022Protein & Cell2022,13,2:0

17ScQ cloud quantum computation for generating Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger states of up to 10 qubits显示文摘In this study, we introduce an online public quantum computation platform, named as ScQ, based on a 1D array of a 10-qubit superconducting processor. Single-qubit rotation gates can be performed on each qubit. Controlled-NOT gates between nearest-neighbor sites on the 1D array of 10 qubits are available. We show the online preparation and verification of Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger states of up to 10 qubits through this platform for all possible blocks of qubits in the chain. The graphical user interface and quantum assembly language methods are presented to achieve the above tasks, which rely on a parameter scanning feature implemented on ScQ. 18Superconductivity and normal state magnetoresistance in superconducting FeSe:Sb显示文摘We prepared a series of β-FeSe samples with a nominal composition of Fe1.11Se1-xSbx(0≤x≤0.5).The X-ray diffraction,transport and magnetic measurements were performed on these samples to investigate the structure,the superconducting properties and the normal state transport and magnetic properties.Although the X-ray diffraction data suggested that Sb atoms were not incorporated into the β-FeSe phase,the transport data showed observable changes of superconductivity,normal state resistivity and magnetoresistance.This was represented by the increase in the superconducting transition temperature and the upper critical field.Also,for the samples with a low level of Sb content,a clear decrease of the normal state resistivity and a substantial increase of the residual resistance ratio were observed.Furthermore,the samples showed a significant increase of the normal state magnetoresistance that appeared not to follow the Kohler's rule.The results were discussed in the frame of reduction of excess Fe at interstitial sites of β-FeSe.CHU HaiFeng LI Jie LI Shao ZHANG Yu WANG Ning WANG Jia GAO YanLi DENG Hui SUN XiaoSong ZHENG DongNing 2010Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2010,53,7:0

20Effects of miR-21 antisense oligonucleotides on proliferation,migration and autophagy of human umbilical vein endothelial cells显示文摘Objective:To investigate the effects of microRNA-21 antisense nucleotide(AS-miR-21)on the proliferation,migration and autophagy of human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs).Methods:HUVECs were treated with1,000 nmol/L rapamycin for 6 h(rapamycin group)or ASmiR-21 transfection followed by 1,000 nmol/L rapamycin for6 h(AS-miR-21+rapamycin group).HUVECs without any treatment were defined as control group.The proliferation and migration abilities of HUVECs were detected by methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium(MTT)assay,scratch wound healing assay and transwell test,respectively.The expressions of microtubule-associated protein light chain 3 Ⅱ/Ⅰ(LC3 Ⅱ/Ⅰ)and Becline-1 were determined by western blotting.Results:The rapamycin group showed decreased OD value and migration rate,an increased ratio of LC3 Ⅱ/Ⅰ and up-regulated expression of Beclin-1 compared with the control group(P<0.05).The AS-miR-21+rapamycin group demonstrated lower OD value,migration rate,the number of migrated cells,and significantly higher ratio of LC3 Ⅱ/Ⅰ and Beclin-1 protein expression level than the control group and the rapamycin group(P<0.05).Conclusion:AS-miR-21 suppressed the autophagy,proliferation and migration in the HUVECs model of autophagy induced by rapamycin.Lyu Dongning Luo Xuelan Yang Ruixia Wang Guangyao Zhou Dong Gan Na Ou Hesheng 2018广西医科大学学报2018,35,8:0
