1The Belt and Road:Geographical pattern and regional risks显示文摘Building the Belt and Road is initiatives of China to promote win-win international cooperation in the new era,aiming at green,health,intellect and peace and the joint developme nt with people of the coun tries along the route.Systematic an alysis on envir on mental characteristics,evolutionary tendency and future risks are certainly the scie ntific fun dame ntals of sustainable development for the Belt and Road construction.Applied remote sensing monitoring,statistical analysis,this paper investigates the regional characteristics of climate,topography,soil,hydrology,vegetation cover and terrestrial ecosystems production,as well as socio-economic conditions.Based on the regional characteristics,the Belt and Road is divided into 9 sub-regions:Central and Eastern Europe sub-region with cold and humid climate,Mongolia and Russia sub-region with cold and arid climate,Central and West Asia arid sub-region,Southeast Asia sub-region with warm and humid climate,Pakistan arid sub-region,Bangladesh-India-Myanmar sub-region with warm and humid climate,Eastern China monsoon sub-region,Northwest China arid sub-region and Tibetan Plateau sub-region.Combining modeling simulation with seenario projections,natural disaster assessment methodology is used to assess the risk of extreme events including heat waves,droughts and floods in the coming 30 years(2021-2050).Results show that,on the basis of the regional framework,the western Eurasia would be a warming trend;both sides of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in high temperature and heat waves risk;Central and Eastern Europe sub-region with cold and humid climate in high drought risk;Bangladesh-lndia-Myanmar sub-region with warm and humid climate as well as Eastern China in high risk of flooding.WU Shaohong LIU Lulu LIU Yanhua GAO Jiangbo DAI Erfu FENG Aiqing WANG Wentao 2019Journal of Geographical Sciences2019,29,4:11

3Activation of Toll-like receptors signaling in non-small cell lung cancer cell line induced by tumor-associated macrophages显示文摘Background:Inflammation is often linked with the progress and poor outcome of lung cancer.The understanding of the relationship between tumor-associated macrophages(TAMs) and lung cancer cells involves in the underlying mechanism of inflammatory cytokine production.Toll-like receptors(TLRs) are engaged in promoting the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and play an important role in tumor immunology.Methods:To investigate the mechanisms by which TAMs influence the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines in lung cancer cells,we established an in vitro coculture system using TAMs and human nonsmall cell lung cancer(NSCLC) cell line SPC-A1.Levels of interleukin(IL)-1β,IL-6 and IL-8 in SPC-A1 were evaluated by RT-PCR and cytometric bead array assay after being cocultured with TAMs.Expression changes of TLRs and TLRs signaling pathway proteins in SPC-A1 were further confirmed by RT-PCR and western blot.The level changes of IL-1β,IL-6 and IL-8 in SPC-A1 were also detected after the stimulation of TLRs agonists.Results:We found that the phenotype markers of TAMs were highly expressed after stimulating human monocyte cell line THP-1 by phorbol-12-myristate-13-acetate(PMA).Higher mRNA and supernate secretion levels of IL-1β,IL-6 and IL-8 were detected in SPC-A1 after being cocultured with TAMs.We also found that TLR1,TLR6 and TLR7 were up-regulated in SPC-A1 in the coculture system with TAMs.Meanwhile,TLRs signaling pathway proteins were also significantly activated.Moreover,pre-treatment with agonist ligands for TLR1,TLR6 and TLR7 could dramatically promote inductions of IL-1β,IL-6 and IL-8.Conclusions:These findings demonstrated that TAMs may enhance IL-1β,IL-6 and IL-8 expressions via TLRs signaling pathway.We conclude that TAMs contribute to maintain the inflammation microenvironment and ultimately promote the development and progression of lung cancer.Xing Ke Meng Wu Jianfang Lou Shuping Zhang Peijun Huang Ruihong Sun Lei Huang Erfu Xie Fang Wang Bing Gu 2015Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2015,27,2:6

5STATISTICAL RELATIONS BETWEEN GEOMORPHIC PARAMETERS——A CASE STUDY OF THE YUNNAN REACH OF THE LANCANGJIANG RIVER IN SOUTHWESTERN CHINA显示文摘The properties of rivers and their catchments can be expressed by statistical relationships between geomorphic parameters. These statistical relationships may reveal some inherent differences in geomorphic evolution for different reaches or different order tributaries of a river basin. A case study was undertaken of the Yunnan reach of the Langcangjiang River. The catchment area, channel length and gradient of the first-, second- and third-order tributaries all with catchment areas larger than 100 km2 in the Yunnan reach were the main geomorphic parameters evaluated. The correlation between catchment area and channel length as well as between catchment area and channel gradient with respect to the total tributaries, different reach tributaries, and different order tributaries were revealed using statistical methods. In general, the channel length as a function of catchment area, was best expressed by a quadratic function where channel length increases with increasing catchment area (half parabola), while the channel gradient as a function of catchment area is best expressed by an exponential decay function. Comparison of the best-fit formulas revealed the following phenomena: the lower Yunnan reach tributaries and the first-order tributaries have a dominant effect on geomorphic parameters of the total tributaries. In addition, the statistical relationships indicate that the river geomorphic system in the upper and lower Yunnan reaches evolved differently. 6A Novel Separability Objective Function in CNN for Feature Extraction of SAR Images显示文摘Convolutional neural network(CNN) has become a promising method for Synthetic aperture radar(SAR) target recognition. Existing CNN models aim at seeking the best separation between classes, but rarely care about the separability of them. We performs a separability measure by analyzing the property of linear separability, and proposes an objective function for CNN to extract linearly separable features. 8Research on stateful public key based secure data aggregation model for wireless sensor networks显示文摘Data aggregation technology reduces traffic overhead of wireless sensor network and extends effective working time of the network,yet continued operation of wireless sensor networks increases the probability of aggregation nodes being captured and probability of aggregated data being tampered.Thus it will seriously affect the security performance of the network. For network security issues,a stateful public key based SDAM( secure data aggregation model) is proposed for wireless sensor networks( WSNs),which employs a new stateful public key encryption to provide efficient end-to-end security. 11Spatio-temporal analysis of the human footprint in the Hengduan Mountain region:Assessing the effectiveness of nature reserves in reducing human impacts显示文摘Mapping the human footprint(HF)makes it possible to quantify human influence,which has had an unprecedented impact on the global ecosystem.Using five categories of human pressure data,this study mapped the HF of the Hengduan Mountain region and assessed the effectiveness of nature reserves in reducing human impacts.The results showed that the HF of the Hengduan Mountain region was generally higher in the south and lower in the north.The HF increased by 11.24%over the past 25 years,with faster growth in the southeast.The HF growth rate in nature reserves was much lower than that across the region,which indicated that nature reserves played an important role in reducing the impact of human pressure.A study of Baimaxueshan nature reserve found that establishing nature reserves could effectively reduce the impact of human activities,and no'leakage'occurred.Population growth was an important reason for the increased HF in nature reserves.The development of ecotourism in nature reserves must be based on ecological protection.Strengthening the long-term monitoring,evaluation,and management of nature reserves is a basic requirement for their long-term development.YIN Le DAI Erfu ZHENG Du WANG Yahui MA Liang TONG Miao 2020Journal of Geographical Sciences2020,30,7:1

13Target detection and recognition in SAR imagery based on KFDA显示文摘Current research on target detection and recognition from synthetic aperture radar(SAR) images is usually carried out separately. It is difficult to verify the ability of a target recognition algorithm for adapting to changes in the environment. To realize the whole process of SAR automatic target recognition(ATR), especially for the detection and recognition of vehicles, an algorithm based on kernel fisher discriminant analysis(KFDA) is proposed.First, in order to make a better description of the difference between the background and the target, KFDA is extended to the detection part. Image samples are obtained with a dual-window approach and features of the inner and outer window samples are extracted by using KFDA. The difference between the features of inner and outer window samples is compared with a threshold to determine whether a vehicle exists. Second, for the target area,we propose an improved KFDA-IMED(image Euclidean distance)combined with a support vector machine(SVM) to recognize the vehicles. Experimental results validate the performance of our method. On the detection task, our proposed method obtains not only a high detection rate but also a low false alarm rate without using any prior information. 14Research on Link Duration for Mobile Multihop Communication Networks显示文摘Mobile multihop communication network is an important branch of modern mobile communication system, and is an important technical support for ubiquitous communication. The random movement of the nodes makes the networking be more flexible, but the frequently changing topology will decrease the link duration between nodes significantly, which will increase the packets loss probability and affect the network communication performance. Aiming at the problem of declining link duration caused by nomadic characteristics in mobile multihop communication network, four link duration models for possible moving states are established based on different features in real networking process in this paper, which will provide reliable criterion for the optimal routing selection.
