1Distributed and Weighted Extreme Learning Machine for Imbalanced Big Data Learning显示文摘The Extreme Learning Machine(ELM) and its variants are effective in many machine learning applications such as Imbalanced Learning(IL) or Big Data(BD) learning. However, they are unable to solve both imbalanced and large-volume data learning problems. This study addresses the IL problem in BD applications. The Distributed and Weighted ELM(DW-ELM) algorithm is proposed, which is based on the Map Reduce framework. To confirm the feasibility of parallel computation, first, the fact that matrix multiplication operators are decomposable is illustrated.Then, to further improve the computational efficiency, an Improved DW-ELM algorithm(IDW-ELM) is developed using only one Map Reduce job. 3New Eusauropod Dinosaur from Yuanmou of Yunnan Province, China显示文摘Yuanmousaurus jiangyiensis gen. et sp. nov. is erected based on an incomplete skeleton. It is characterized by more complex structures of the neural arches in the dorsal vertebrae than those in Omeisaurus, but less complex than those of Euhelopus; the dorsal vertebra bears 9 laminae, forming three cavities on the lateral surface of the neural arch; the dorsal vertebral neural spines with dorsoventrally-oriented cavities are similar to those of Omeisaurus and Patagosaurus. Yuanmousaurus is more primitive than Euhelopus, but more derived than Omeisaurus. 4The pain-related behavior changes correlate with the bone damage in a rat model of rheumatoid arthritis显示文摘Objective: In view of the extensive bone damage in rheumatoid arthritis, we used a commonly utilized animal model to detect behavioral changes in pain-related and the bone damage during the early disease, and to explore the correlation between bone damage and pain-related behavioral changes. Methods: Arthritis were induced in Sprague-Dawley (SD) male rats by injecting complete Freund's adjuvant (CFA) into the tails. Pain-related behavior changes were studied using the Hargreaves, VonFrey, and acetone tests on the 0, 7, 14, day and 28 day after CFA injection. The rats were sacrificed according the same schedule. The bone damage of the right proximal tibia was studied by microCT scan and bone histological slices. Results: Animals developed soft tissue inflammation and polyarthritis on 7 days after CFA injection, and arthritic score proved obvious arthritis were established within the study period. Mechanical hyperalgesia and cold allodynia were present in the affected hind paw from the 7 day through the 28 day, but the heat hyperalgesia and the mechanical allodynia lasted a short time after CFA injection. Trabecular bone number (Tb.N), Tissue Mineral Content (TMC) and Bone Volume to Tissue Volume (BV/TV) in the proximal tibia by microCT scan were also reduced after induction, especial 14 days after CFA injection. The bone histological slices showed the trabecular bone and proteoglycan diminished, the bone damage severity scores became more severely on the 7 day after CFA injection. Using analysis of covariance, these changes had statistical significance compared with baseline. By linear regression analysis demonstrated mechanical hyperalgesia and cold allodynia correlated well with arthritic score, bone damage parameters and bone damage severity scores. Conclusion: Adjuvant-induced arthritis (AA) were observed after CFA injection and lasted within the later experimental period. Pain-related behavioral changes were observed in the early time of AA. Bone damage was also occurred with arthritis development. 5Key technologies and practice for gas field storage facility construction of complex geological conditions in China显示文摘In view of complex geological characteristics and alternating loading conditions associated with cyclic large amount of gas injection and withdrawal in underground gas storage(UGS) of China, a series of key gas storage construction technologies were established, mainly including UGS site selection and evaluation, key index design, well drilling and completion, surface engineering and operational risk warning and assessment, etc. The effect of field application was discussed and summarized. Firstly, trap dynamic sealing capacity evaluation technology for conversion of UGS from the fault depleted or partially depleted gas reservoirs. A key index design method mainly based on the effective gas storage capacity design for water flooded heterogeneous gas reservoirs was proposed. To effectively guide the engineering construction of UGS, the safe well drilling, high quality cementing and high pressure and large flow surface injection and production engineering optimization suitable for long-term alternate loading condition and ultra-deep and ultra-low temperature formation were developed. The core surface equipment like high pressure gas injection compressor can be manufactured by our own. Last, the full-system operational risk warning and assessment technology for UGS was set up. The above 5 key technologies have been utilized in site selection, development scheme design, engineering construction and annual operations of 6 UGS groups, e.g. the Hutubi UGS in Xinjiang. 6A strain smoothing formulation for NURBS-based isogeometric finite element analysis显示文摘A strain smoothing formulation for NURBS (non-uniform rational B-splines) based isogeometric finite element analysis is presented. This approach is formulated within the framework of assumed strain methods and strain smoothing operations. The strain smoothing is defined through strain averaging in the element sub-domains which are subsequently used for numerical integration of the Galerkin weak form. This formulation satisfies the orthogonality condition of the assumed strain methods. Meanwhile the present formulation totally avoids the gradient computation of the rational NURBS basis functions in the formulation of stiffness matrix. A transformation method is employed to accurately enforce the displacement boundary conditions. 11A Survey on Event Mining for ICT Network Infrastructure Management显示文摘Managing large-scale complex network infrastructures is challenging due to the huge number of heterogeneous network elements.The goal of this survey is to provide an overview of event mining techniques applied in the network management domain.Event mining includes a series of techniques for automatically and effectively discovering valuable knowledge from historical event/log data.We present three research challenges(i.e.,event generation,root cause analysis,and failure prediction) for event mining in network management and introduce the corresponding solutions.Event generation(i.e.,converting messages in log files into structured events)is the first step in many event mining applications.Automatic root cause analysis can locate the faulty elements/components without the help of experienced domain experts.Failure prediction in proactive fault management improves network reliability.The representative studies to address the three aforementioned challenges are reviewed and their main ideas are summarized in the survey.In addition,our survey shows that using event mining techniques can improve the network management efficiency and reduce the management cost.LIU Zheng LI Tao WANG Junchang 2016ZTE Communications2016,14,2:1
12Parameter optimization of fluted-roller meter using discrete element method显示文摘The most important performance indicator of a fertilizer metering mechanism is the evenness of fertilizer flow.In this study,a regression mathematical model between the key operating parameters of the fluted roller meter and the flow evenness was developed to simulate a fluted-roller meter for metering diammonium phosphate fertilizer using the discrete element method(DEM).The model was verified by bench test using the same equipment and parameters as the DEM model.Selected working parameters of the fluted-roller meter,including roll length(L),roll rotational speed(n),and flap angle(α)(for fertilizer discharge control),were optimized to maximize the flow evenness.Flow evenness was assessed by the coefficient of variation(CV)of the discharging mass during the operation.The simulation and experiment results showed the similar trends,in terms of effects of machine parameters on the CV.The relative errors ranged from 0.2%to 34.6%with a mean of 10.5%.This demonstrated that the DEM model was feasible to simulate the metering process of the fluted-roller meter.The machine parameters that significantly affected the values of CV in descending order wereα,L and n.Both simulation and measurement results revealed that the optimal machine parameters,represented by the minimum value of CV,were observed at L=45 mm,n=55 r/min andα=22.5°.This combination of parameters returned CV values of 10.89%and 9.55%for simulations and measurements,respectively.The study provided useful information for guiding the design and selection of machine parameters for metering devices for fertilizer applications.Yuxiang Huang Botao Wang Yuxiang Yao Shangpeng Ding Junchang Zhang Ruixiang Zhu 2018International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,6:1
13Liquid-like polymer lubricating surfaces:Mechanism and applications显示文摘Liquid-like polymer lubricating surfaces(LPLSs)are solid substrates with highly flexible polymer chains grafted via covalent bonds.This unique modification enables ultralow contact-angle hysteresis,repellency of various liquids and bulk ice,and stability.The distinctive wettability and universality of LPLSs have potential applications in liquid motion,biological detection,and environmental protection.In this review,we summarize the mechanisms,preparation,and applications of LPLSs.We discuss the wettability and lubrication mechanisms of liquid droplets on LPLSs.We then categorize LPLS fabrication into“grafted onto”and“grafted from”groups,depending on the type of polymer.We highlight representative applications with recent developments in anti-complex liquid,anti-icing,anti-biological adhesions,biosensing,and photocatalytic activity.Finally,we discuss future challenges and outlooks for LPLSs.Dagui Wang Jinglong Yang Junchang Guo Zhijuan Duan Deihui Wang Fan Xia Fei Deng Xu Deng 2024Nano Research2024,17,2:1

15New Material of Pterosaur Sinopterus (Reptilia:Pterosauria) from the Early Cretaceous Jiufotang Formation,Western Liaoning,China显示文摘Based on a new nearly complete postcranial skeleton of an adult specimen of Sinopterus from the Early Cretaceous Jiufotang Formation of western Liaoning, China, the diagnosis of Sinopterus is amended. The revised diagnosis of Sinopterus includes skull relatively elongate with weakly developed cranial crest; ratio of the length of Ph2d4 to that of Ph1d4 is approximately 0.73; ratio of the length of wing metacarpal to that of metatarsal 3 is 4.5; ratio of the length of mt3 to that of tibia is approximately 0.21, and wing phalanges 1 and 2 are straight. 17Engineering multifunctional bioadhesive powders through dynamic metal-ligand coordination显示文摘Bioadhesive gels with robust adhesion on wet and irregular tissue surfaces are desirable for clinical applications.Assembly of bioadhesive powders is an effective strategy for obtaining gels that adhere to wet and irregular tissue surfaces by absorbing interfacial water.However,current bioadhesive powders lack positive biological functions and are prone to postoperative adhesion.Here,we present a powder strategy based on metal-ligand coordination to create a series of bioadhesive polyacrylic acid(PAA)gels.In the gel network,metal ions(M^(n+))are used to coordinate with the carboxy ligands of PAA to form dynamic noncovalent crosslinks.The powders can absorb interfacial water and assemble into gels on wet and irregular tissue surfaces within a few seconds,forming an initial adhesion layer by electrostatic interactions.Furthermore,the polymers can diffuse into the tissue matrix,and metal-ligand coordination is reconstructed to enhance the adhesion.Moreover,with a cationic shield layer,the bioadhesive powders can effectively avoid postoperative adhesion.Importantly,M^(n+) ions endow the gel with customized biological functions.We demonstrate that the hemostatic,antibacterial,peroxidase-like catalytic,and photodetachment abilities of the gels by incorporating different M^(n+) ions.These advantages make the bioadhesive powder a promising platform for diverse tissue repair applications.Junchang Guo Yue Hou Liansong Ye Junnan Chen Hong Wang Li Yang Jinbo Jiang Qiangqiang Sun Chaoming Xie Bing Hu Jiaxi Cui Xu Deng 2022Science China Chemistry2022,65,11:0

19HUID:DBN-Based Fingerprint Localization and Tracking System with Hybrid UWB and IMU显示文摘High-precision localization technology is attracting widespread attention in harsh indoor environments.In this paper,we present a fingerprint localization and tracking system to estimate the locations of the tag based on a deep belief network(DBN).In this system,we propose using coefficients as fingerprints to combine the ultra-wideband(UWB)and inertial measurement unit(IMU)estimation linearly,termed as a HUID system.In particular,the fingerprints are trained by a DBN and estimated by a radial basis function(RBF).However,UWB-based estimation via a trilateral method is severely affected by the non-line-of-sight(NLoS)problem,which limits the localization precision.To tackle this problem,we adopt the random forest classifier to identify line-of-sight(LoS)and NLoS conditions.Then,we adopt the random forest regressor to mitigate ranging errors based on the identification results for improving UWB localization precision.The experimental results show that the mean square error(MSE)of the localization error for the proposed HUID system reduces by 12.96%,50.16%,and 64.92%compared with that of the existing extended Kalman filter(EKF),single UWB,and single IMU estimation methods,respectively.Junchang Sun Rongyan Gu Shiyin Li Shuai Ma Hongmei Wang Zongyan Li Weizhou Feng 2023China Communications2023,20,2:0
20Numerical simulation-based correction of relative permeability hysteresis in water-invaded underground gas storage during multi-cycle injection and production显示文摘By conducting relative permeability experiments of multi-cycle gas-water displacement and imbibition on natural cores,we discuss relative permeability hysteresis effect in underground gas storage during multi-cycle injection and production.A correction method for relative permeability hysteresis in numerical simulation of water-invaded gas storage has been worked out using the Carlson and Killough models.A geologic model of water-invaded sandstone gas storage with medium-low permeability is built to investigate the impacts of relative permeability hysteresis on fluid distribution and production performance during multi-cycle injection and production of the gas storage.The study shows that relative permeability hysteresis effect occurs during high-speed injection and production in gas storage converted from water-invaded gas reservoir,and leads to increase of gas-water transition zone width and thickness,shrinkage of the area of high-efficiency gas storage,and decrease of the peak value variation of pore volume containing gas,and then reduces the storage capacity,working gas volume,and high-efficiency operation span of the gas storage.Numerical simulations exhibit large prediction errors of performance indexes if this hysteresis effect is not considered.Killough and Carlson methods can be used to correct the relative permeability hysteresis effect in water-invaded underground gas storage to improve the prediction accuracy.The Killough method has better adaptability to the example model.ZHU Sinan SUN Junchang WEI Guoqi ZHENG Dewen WANG Jieming SHI Lei LIU Xianshan 2021Petroleum Exploration and Development2021,48,1:0
