4The effect of cdk-5 overexpression on tau phosphorylation and spatial memory of rat显示文摘In Alzheimer抯 disease (AD), hyperphosphorylation of tau may be the underlying mechanism for the cytoskeletal abnormalities and neuronal death. It was reported that cy-clin-dependent kinase5 (cdk-5) could phosphorylate tau at most AD-related epitopes in vitro. In this study, we investigated the effect of cdk-5 overexpression on tau phosphorylation and spatial memory in rat. We demonstrated that 24 h after transfection into rat hippocampus, cdk-5 was overexpressed and induced a reduced staining with antibody tau-1 and an enhanced staining with antibodies 12e8 and PHF-1, suggesting hyperphosphorylation of tau at Ser199/202, Ser262/356 and Ser396/404 sites. Additionally, the cdk-5 transfected rats showed long latency to find the hidden platform in Morris water maze compared to the control rat. 48 h after transfection, the level of cdk-5 was decreased significantly, and the latency of rats to find the hidden platform was prolonged. 5Meaningful comparison of photocatalytic properties of {001} and {101} faceted anatase TiO2 nanocrystals显示文摘The facet-dependent photocatalytic performance of TiO_2 nanocrystals has been extensively investigated due to their promising applications in renewable energy and environmental fields. However, the intrinsic distinction in the photocatalytic oxidation activities between the {001}and {101} facets of anatase TiO_2 nanocrystals is still unclear and under debate. In this work, a simple photoelectrochemical method was employed to meaningfully quantify the intrinsic photocatalytic activities of {001} and{101} faceted TiO_2 nanocrystal photoanodes. The effective surface areas of photoanodes with different facets were measured based on the monolayer adsorption of phthalic acid on TiO_2 photoanode surface by an ex situ photoelectrochemical method, which were used to normalize the photocurrents obtained from different faceted photoanodes for meaningful comparison of their photocatalytic activities. The results demonstrated that the {001} facets of anatase TiO_2 nanocrystals exhibited much better photocatalytic activity than that of {101} facets of anatase TiO_2 nanocrystals toward photocatalytic oxidation of water and organic compounds with different functional groups(e.g.,–OH, –CHO, –COOH). 7Characteristics of the Late Quaternary right-lateral strike-slip movement of Bolokenu-Aqikekuduk fault in northern Tianshan Mountains,NW China显示文摘The characteristics of the Bolokenu-Aqikekuduk(Bo-A) fault,a right-lateral strike-slip fault that runs for more than 700 km long and obliquely cuts North Tianshan Mountains,are evaluated here based on remote sensing data,and through an analysis of the results from field investigations as well as climate-geomorphic events. The fault is composed of a western segment with a NW strike and an eastern segment with a NWW strike.The western segment is nearly 250 km long,extending northwestward into Kazakhstan with a right-lateral strike-slip rate of 5 mm/a.This domain consists of 4-5 rupture sections,with 3-4 deformation belts,caused by ancient or historical earthquakes,and suggesting the potential for the occurrence of further strong earthquakes(with M≈7.5) in future. The eastern segment of the fault shows a right-lateral strike-slip rate of 1-1.4 mm/a,with the development of 3-4 deformation belts caused by ancient or historical earthquakes,and with a potential for future strong earthquake with M≈7.0. 8A Cloud Detection Scheme for the Chinese Carbon Dioxide Observation Satellite(TANSAT)显示文摘Cloud detection is an essential preprocessing step for retrieving carbon dioxide from satellite observations of reflected sunlight.During the pre-launch study of the Chinese Carbon Dioxide Observation Satellite(TANSAT),a cloud-screening scheme was presented for the Cloud and Aerosol Polarization Imager(CAPI),which only performs measurements in five channels located in the visible to near-infrared regions of the spectrum.The scheme for CAPI,based on previous cloudscreening algorithms,defines a method to regroup individual threshold tests for each pixel in a scene according to the derived clear confidence level.This scheme is proven to be more effective for sensors with few channels.The work relies upon the radiance data from the Visible and Infrared Radiometer(VIRR)onboard the Chinese Feng Yun-3A Polar-orbiting Meteorological Satellite(FY-3A),which uses four wavebands similar to that of CAPI and can serve as a proxy for its measurements.The scheme has been applied to a number of the VIRR scenes over four target areas(desert,snow,ocean,forest)for all seasons.To assess the screening results,comparisons against the cloud-screening product from MODIS are made.The evaluation suggests that the proposed scheme inherits the advantages of schemes described in previous publications and shows improved cloud-screening results.A seasonal analysis reveals that this scheme provides better performance during warmer seasons,except for observations over oceans,where results are much better in colder seasons.Xi WANG Zheng GUO Yipeng HUANG Hongjie FAN Wanbiao LI 2017Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2017,34,1:4
9Structural design and parameter determination for fluted-roller fertilizer applicator显示文摘The instability of the motion layer of fertilizer particle influences the precision and the accuracy of the amount of fertilizer application in the working process of fluted-roller fertilizer applicator.The characteristics of the motion layer were investigated,and a systematic scheme was proposed for designing the structures of fertilizer-filling cavity,fertilizer-filling surface and fertilizer-delivery cavity.The key parameters of the structure were studied by discrete element method.It was figured out that to ensure the smooth operation of fertilizer applicator,the fertilizer-filling angle was 105°,fertilizer-contact angle should be large than 100°,and the fertilizer-resistance angle should be smaller than 35°.Moreover,the stability of fertilizer motion morphology was investigated to verify the design.The results showed that when the roll rotational speed was larger than 120 deg/s,compared with the conventional design the CV of the amount of fertilizer application was reduced from 1.5%-3.5%to 0.5%-1.0%,and the accuracy of the fertilizer discharge was improved with the square of the correlation coefficient between the amount of fertilizer application and the roll rotational speed was larger than 0.999.It was deduced from the results that the precision and accuracy of the amount of fertilizer application are improved via eliminating the driving layer and enhancing the stable filling and conveying of the forced layer.Shan Zeng Yipeng Tan Yu Wang Xiwen Luo Lamei Yao Dengpan Huang Zewen Mo 2020International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2020,13,2:4
10A new method of frequency-dependent network equivalence for power system显示文摘Electromagnetic transient simulation for large-scale power system is a time-consuming problem.A new frequency-dependent equivalence method is presented in the paper,which might significantly accelerate power system electromagnetic transient simulation.In the method,an effective algorithm is designed to directly transfer the port admittance determinant of external system's mixing matrix into admittance rational function;and the step-by-step strategy for the equivalence of actual large system is put forward,which further reduces the calculation quantities needed.Moreover,the study of multiple real root pole characteristics of admittance transfer function of two-port network is performed and a proposition is achieved.Based on the proposition and residue theorem,the equivalence system for external system corresponding to the admittance rational function is obtained.The computation complexity of the step-by-step equivalence method is about o(┌n/np×T┐)(┌┐ is upper integral operation,n is the total buses number of external system,N P is the total buses number of single step equivalence network,T is single step equivalence time),which indicates that the computation complexity of the method proposed has nearly linear relationship with the buses number of external system,and the method proposed has satisfactory computation speed.Since the mixing matrix of external system includes all the information of external system,therefore,port admittance rational function derived from it can reflect its full frequency characteristic and the equivalence network achieved has high equivalence precision.Moreover,since the port rational function is gained at the condition of the external system without source,which equals stable passive network,it could not show any unstable pole and need not extra measure to make the equivalence system stable.The test results of the samples and comparison with other methods demonstrate that the new method proposed is valid and effective.LIN JiKeng YAN YiPeng PU TianJiao LUO ShanShan LIU Tao ZHENG WeiHong WANG XuDong 2012Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,7:3

12Corrosion Behaviors of Nitride Coatings on Titanium Alloy in NaCl-Induced Hot Corrosion显示文摘TiN and TiAlN coatings were deposited by arc ion plating on titanium alloys to study their hot corrosion resistance when they were exposed to NaCl at 600℃.The microstructure and corrosion behaviors of nitride coatings were studied using scanning electron microscope,X-ray diffraction,electro-probe microanalyzer and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.The results showed that nitride coatings with the different compositions and the ones with the same composition but different thicknesses presented different hot corrosion resistance.TiN and thin TiAlN coatings showed poor corrosion resistance.Serious internal oxidation attacked the alloy substrate.Their corrosion products were mainly consisted of non-protective TiO2 and sodium salt.By contrast,the thick TiAlN coating presented outstanding corrosion resistance.Besides sodium salt,the corrosion products were composed of protective Al_(2)O_(3).The increasing thickness of TiAlN significantly enhanced the hot corrosion resistance.The corrosion mechanisms of alloy,TiN and TiAlN coatings were discussed in detail.Mingming Zhang Yipeng Feng Yahui Wang Yunsong Niu Li Xin Yongfeng Li Jianxiu Su Shenglong Zhu Fuhui Wang 2021Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2021,34,10:3
13SRSF1 plays a critical role in invariant natural killer T cell development and function显示文摘Invariant natural killer T(iNKT)cells are highly conserved innate-like T lymphocytes that originate from CD4^(+)CD8^(+)double-positive(DP)thymocytes.Here,we report that serine/arginine splicing factor 1(SRSF1)intrinsically regulates iNKT cell development by directly targeting Myb and balancing the abundance of short and long isoforms.Conditional ablation of SRSF1 in DP cells led to a substantially diminished iNKT cell pool due to defects in proliferation,survival,and TCRαrearrangement.The transition from stage 0 to stage 1 of iNKT cells was substantially blocked,and the iNKT2 subset was notably diminished in SRSF1-deficient mice.SRSF1 deficiency resulted in aberrant expression of a series of regulators that are tightly correlated with iNKT cell development and iNKT2 differentiation,including Myb,PLZF,Gata3,ICOS,and CD5.In particular,we found that SRSF1 directly binds and regulates pre-mRNA alternative splicing of Myb and that the expression of the short isoform of Myb is substantially reduced in SRSF1-deficient DP and iNKT cells.Strikingly,ectopic expression of the Myb short isoform partially rectified the defects caused by ablation of SRSF1.Furthermore,we confirmed that the SRSF1-deficient mice exhibited resistance to acute liver injury uponα-GalCer and Con A induction.Our findings thus uncovered a previously unknown role of SRSF1 as an essential post-transcriptional regulator in iNKT cell development and functional differentiation,providing new clinical insights into iNKT-correlated disease.Jingjing Liu Menghao You Yingpeng Yao Ce Ji Zhao Wang Fang Wang Di Wang Zhihong Qi Guotao Yu Zhen Sun Wenhui Guo Juanjuan Liu Shumin Li Yipeng Jin Tianyan Zhao Hai-Hui Xue Yuanchao Xue Shuyang Yu 2021Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,11:3
14Influence of coronary bifurcation angle on atherosclerosis显示文摘Hemodynamics plays a crucial role in the development and progression of coronary atherosclerosis,which is prone to occur in branch bifurcation.A n individual aortic-coronary artery model and three changed bifurcation angle models are constructed by Mimics and Freeform based on computed tomography angiography.The influence of different coronary bifurcation angles between left main(LM),left anterior descending(LAD),and left circumflex(LCX)on the blood flow field and related hemodynamic parameters are studied.It is shown that a wider bifurcation angle between LAD and LCX can cause a wider low-wall shear stress area,leading to atherosclerosis.Similarly,a decreased angle between LM and LAD is predisposed to prevent atherosclerosis.The results help to better understand the hemodynamic causes of atherosclerosis with various bifurcation angles in coronary arteries and to provide guidance for clinical assessment and prevention.Zhaomiao Liu Shengwei Zhao Yunjie Li Feng Shen Yipeng Qi Qi Wang 2019Acta Mechanica Sinica2019,35,6:2
15Fecal microbiota transplantation from young donor mice improves ovarian function in aged mice显示文摘Advanced maternal age is characterized by declines in the quantity and quality of oocytes in the ovaries,and the aging process is accompanied by changes in gut microbiota composition.However,little is known about the relationship between gut microbiota and ovarian aging.By using fecal microbiota transplantation(FMT)to transplant material from young(5-week-old)into aged(42-week-old)mice,we find that the composition of gut microbiota in FMT-treated mice presents a“younger-like phenotype”and an increase of commensal bacteria,such as Bifidobacterium and Ruminococcaceae.Moreover,the FMT-treated mice show increased anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-4 and decreased pro-inflammatory cytokine IFN-γ.Fertility tests for assessing ovarian function reveal that the first litter size of female FMT-treated mice is significantly higher than that of the non-FMT group.Morphology analysis demonstrates a dramatic decrease in follicle atresia and apoptosis as well as an increase in cellular proliferation in the ovaries of the FMT-treated mice.Our results also show that FMT improves the immune microenvironment in aged ovaries,with decreased macrophages and macrophage-derived multinucleated giant cells(MNGCs).These results suggest that FMT from young donors could be a good choice for delaying ovarian aging.Li Xu Qiankun Zhang Xiaowei Dou Yipeng Wang Jianwei Wang Yong Zhou Xingyin Liu Jing Li 2022Journal of Genetics and Genomics2022,49,11:2

17Novel Cathelicidins with Potent Antimicrobial,Biofilm Inhibitory,and Anti-inflammatory Activities from the Frog Fejervarya multistriata显示文摘Antimicrobial peptides(AMPs),a class of gene-encoded peptides,are the first line of immune system to defense microbial invasions in multicellular organisms.Cathelicidins are an important family of AMPs that have been identified exclusively in vertebrates.However,up to now,cathelicidins from amphibians are poorly understood.In the present study,we reported the identification and characterization of two novel cathelicidins(FM-CATH1 and FMCATH2) from the frog Fejervarya multistriata.The c DNA sequences encoding FM-CATHs were successfully cloned from the constructed lung c DNA library of F.multistriata.Both of the c DNA sequences encoding FM-CATHs are 447 bp in length,and the deduced mature peptides of FM-CATHs are composed of 34 residues.Structural analysis indicated that FM-CATH1 and FM-CATH2 mainly assume amphipathic alpha-helical conformations.Antimicrobial and bacterial killing kinetic analysis indicated that both FM-CATH1 and FM-CATH2 possess potent,broad-spectrum and rapid antimicrobial potency.And cytoplasmic membrane permeabilization analysis indicated that FM-CATH1 and FMCATH2 kill bacteria by inducing the permeabilization of bacterial membrane.Besides direct antimicrobial activities,FM-CATHs also exhibited significant inhibitory effect on the formation of bacterial biofilms at low concentrations below 1×MIC.Furthermore,FM-CATH1 and FM-CATH2 exhibited potent anti-inflammatory activities by inhibiting LPS-induced transcription and production of pro-inflammatory cytokines TNF-α,IL-1β,and IL-6 in mouse peritoneal macrophages.Meanwhile,FM-CATHs showed relatively low cytotoxic activity against mammalian normal and tumor cell lines,and low hemolytic activity against human erythrocytes.In summary,the identification of FM-CATHs provides novel clues for our understanding of the roles of cathelicidins in amphibian immune systems.The potent antimicrobial,biofilm inhibitory,anti-inflammatory activities,and low cytotoxicity of FM-CATHs imply their great potential in novel antibiotics development.Aili WANG Yan CHEN Haining YU Yipeng WANG 2017Asian Herpetological Research2017,18,3:2
18Evaluation of menopausal status among breast cancer patients with chemotherapy-induced amenorrhea显示文摘Objective: In patients with chemotherapy-induced amenorrhea(CIA), the menopausal status is ambiguous and difficult to evaluate. This study aimed to establish a discriminative model to predict and classify the menopausal status of breast cancer patients with CIA.Methods: This is a single center hospital-based study from 2013 to 2016. The menopausal age distribution and accumulated incidence rate of CIA are described. Multivariate models were adjusted for established and potential confounding factors including age, serum concentration of estradiol(E2) and follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH),feeding, pregnancy, parity, abortions, and body mass index(BMI). The odds ratio(OR) and 95% confidence interval(95% CI) of different risk factors were estimated.Results: A total of 1,796 breast cancer patients were included in this study, among whom, 1,175(65.42%) were premenopausal patients and 621(34.58%) were post-menopause patients. Five hundred and fifty patients were included in CIA analysis, and a cumulative CIA rate of 81.64% was found in them. Age(OR: 1.856, 95% CI:1.732-1.990), serum concentration of E2(OR: 0.976, 95% CI: 0.972-0.980) and FSH(OR: 1.060, 95% CI:1.053-1.066), and menarche age(OR: 1.074, 95% CI: 1.009-1.144) were found to be associated with the patients' menopausal status. According to multivariate analysis, the discriminative model to predict the menopausal status is Logit(P)=-28.396+0.536 Age-0.014 E2+0.031 FSH. The sensitivities for this model were higher than 85%, and its specificities were higher than 89%.Conclusions: The discriminative model obtained from this study for predicting menstrual state is important for premenopausal patients with CIA. 20Preparation and application of a new catalyst to produce bio-oil from microalgae liquefaction显示文摘In this study,hydrothermal catalytic liquefaction method was adopted to produce bio-oil from microalgae.The influence of supported Ni-Catalysts doped neodymium(Nd)on the bio-oil yield from microalgae liquefaction was investigated,aiming to find the optimal preparation procedure of bio-oil.It proved that under the condition of a temperature of 270℃and a reaction period of 30 min,the bio-oil yield of hydrothermal catalytic liquefaction of spirulina powder could reach 55.1%by means of the catalyst prepared with 1 mol/L neodymium nitrate as the dipping solution after a calcination for 4 h at 800℃.In addition,the characterization on catalyst was discussed in this research.Wang Yipeng Nan Ge Wang Wenjia Zhang Jinglai Han Wei 2017International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,1:1
