| 2 | The uptake diversity of soil nitrogen nutrients by main plant species in Kobresia humilis alpine meadow on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau显示文摘We studied the uptake of ammonium,nitrate,and a variety of amino acids by alpine plant species in the Kobresia humilis alpine meadow ecosystem in situ.We examined the extent of niche separation in uptake of N source by different plant species in alpine communities,and investigated the contribution of symbiotically fixed N to the total N in alpine meadow.The results are(1) δ 15 N natural abundance values of 13 plant species lie between 2.680‰ and 5.169‰,and the scope is 7.849‰.(2) Leguminous plants,such as Trigonella ruthenica,Gueldenstaedtia diversiffolia,and Oxytyopis ochrocephala,and non-leguminous plant Gentiana straminea uptake low amounts of 15 N labeled ammonium,nitrate,glycine or aspartate in soil.(3) As far as the plant uptake of organic N is concerned,Kobresia humilis,Poa pratensis,and Gentiuna spathutifolta can effectively uptake organic nitrogen,and about 37%-40% of the nitrogen of these species comes from soil organic nitrogen sources(such as glycine and aspartate).Stipa aliena can effectively uptake nitrate,and 60% of its nitrogen comes from soil nitrate.Potentilla anserina,Poa pratensis,and Thalictrum alpinum can effectively absorb ammonium in comparason to other plant species in the meadow,and about 25%-27% of the nitrogen in these plants comes from soil ammonium.(4) The contribution of leguminous fixed N to total N is 7.48%-9.26% in Kobresia humilis alpine meadow.(5) These data show many plant species of alpine meadow may effectively utilize dissolved organic nitrogen such as amino acids,and these plants have diverse ways to uptake soil nitrogen in alpine meadows.Based on the results we can partly explain why there are abundant biodiversities and how plants at alpine habitat utilize the limited soil N sources. | WANG WenYing MA YongGui XU Jin WANG HuiChun ZHU JinFu ZHOU HuaKun | 2012 | Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,10: | 13 |
| 3 | Development of image-based wheat spike counter through a Faster R-CNN algorithm and application for genetic studies显示文摘Spike number(SN) per unit area is one of the major determinants of grain yield in wheat. Development of high-throughput techniques to count SN from large populations enables rapid and cost-effective selection and facilitates genetic studies. In the present study, we used a deep-learning algorithm, i.e., Faster Region-based Convolutional Neural Networks(Faster R-CNN) on Red-Green-Blue(RGB) images to explore the possibility of image-based detection of SN and its application to identify the loci underlying SN. A doubled haploid population of 101 lines derived from the Yangmai 16/Zhongmai 895 cross was grown at two sites for SN phenotyping and genotyped using the high-density wheat 660 K SNP array.Analysis of manual spike number(MSN) in the field, image-based spike number(ISN), and verification of spike number(VSN) by Faster R-CNN revealed significant variation(P < 0.001) among genotypes, with high heritability ranged from 0.71 to 0.96. The coefficients of determination(R^(2)) between ISN and VSN was 0.83, which was higher than that between ISN and MSN(R^(2)= 0.51), and between VSN and MSN(R^(2)= 0.50). Results showed that VSN data can effectively predict wheat spikes with an average accuracy of 86.7% when validated using MSN data. Three QTL Qsnyz.caas-4 DS, Qsnyz.caas-7 DS, and QSnyz.caas-7 DL were identified based on MSN, ISN and VSN data, while QSnyz.caas-7 DS was detected in all the three data sets. | 7 | Efficacy and safety of anlotinib plus S-1as thirdly-line or later-line treatmentin advanced non-small cell lung cancer显示文摘Objective Anlotinib,an oral vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2(VEGFR2)inhibitor,has confirmed antitumor activity in lung cancer in both in vitro and in vivo assays,and has been recommended as third-line treatment agent in non-oncogene driven non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).This prospective study aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of anlotinib plus S-1 for third-or later-line treatment in patients with advanced NSCLC.Methods Patients with histologically or cytologically confirmed NSCLC,and documented disease progression following second-line chemotherapy,and/or epidermal growth factor receptor-tyrosine kinase inhibitor(EGFR-TKI)treatment were enrolled in this study.The patients were treated anlotinib(8 mg daily d 1–14)and S-1(60 mg/m^2 d 1–14)and the treatment was repeated every 3 weeks.Treatment was continued until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity occurred.The objective response rate(ORR),disease control rate(DCR),progression-free survival(PFS),and adverse events(AEs)were reviewed and evaluated.Results Forty-one patients were enrolled in the study between June 2018 and December 2018.The total ORR and DCR were 26.8%and 80.5%,respectively.The median PFS was 5.2 months[95%confidence interval(CI),3.9 to 6.6 months].In the univariate analysis,there was a significant difference in the median PFS between patients with brain metastases and those without brain metastases(4.8 months vs 5.9 months,respectively;P=0.039).The Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group(ECOG)performance status(P=0.002),lines of therapy(P=0.015),and therapeutic evaluation(P=0.014)were independent factors that influenced PFS.The most common AEs were hypertension,proteinuria,myelosuppression,gastrointestinal reactions,fatigue,and mucositis.Conclusion Anlotinib plus S-1 is an effective and safe regimen for advanced NSCLC as third-or later-line therapy. | Heng Cao Kai Liang Peng Liu Jing Wang Yuanyuan Ji Lujuan Xu Weilong Wu Shengnan Guo Xuekun Song Yonggui Hong | 2020 | Oncology and Translational Medicine2020,6,1: | 4 |
