1SIMS U-Pb zircon age of a tuff layer in the Meishucun section, Yunnan, southwest China: Constraint on the age of the Precambrian-Cambrian boundary显示文摘Determination of the age of the Precambrian-Cambrian boundary is critical in understanding early evolution of life on Earth. SIMS U-Pb zircon analyses of the Bed 5 tuff layer of the Meishucun section were carried out closely following the guidance of cathodoluminescence images, and the majority of analyses were conducted on the oscillatory zircon grains. Thirteen measurements yield a highly reliable Concordia U-Pb age of 536.7 ± 3.9 Ma for the Bed 5 horizon. A grand mean of 206Pb/238U age of 535.2± 1.7 Ma (MSWD = 0.53) is calculated based on 13 concordant SIMS measurements of this study and 4 nano-SIMS measurements of Sawaki et al., which is the best estimate of the deposition age of the tuff layer within Bed 5 in the Meishucun section. 2The effect of lactic acid bacteria inoculums on in vitro rumen fermentation, methane production, ruminal cellulolytic bacteria populations and cellulase activities of corn stover silage显示文摘The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of lactic acid bacteria(LAB) inoculums on fermentation quality and in vitro digestibility of corn stover silage.Corn stover was ensiled without(control) or with Lactobacillus plantarum(LP),Enterococcus faecalis(EF),and Enterococcus mundtii(EM) for 45 days.The fermentation characteristics were assessed,and subsequent in vitro dry matter digestibility(DM-D),neutral detergent fiber digestibility(NDF-D),volatile fatty acids(VFA),methane(CH4) production,cellulolytic bacteria proportions and their activities per corn stover silage were also determined.There was no significant difference(P>0.05) among the silage pH,lactic acid,crude protein(CP),water soluble carbohydrates(WSC) and lignocelluloses contents of different treatments.The relative proportions of Ruminococcus flavefaciens and Fibrobacter succinogenes,carboxymethyl-ocellulose and β-glycosidase activities,DM-D,NDF-D,and VFA production of in vitro incubation was higher(P<0.05) for silages inoculated with LP and EF than those of the control silage.Silage inoculated with LP showed the lowest(P<0.05) CH4 production per unit yield of VFA,which was positively corresponded to the lowest(P<0.05) ratio of acetate to propionate.In summary,the ensiling fermentation quality and subsequent utilization of corn stover silage were efficiently improved by inoculated with L.plantarum.GUO Gang SHEN Chen LIU Qiang ZHANG Shuan-lin SHAO Tao WANG Cong WANG Yongxin XU Qing-fang HUO Wen-jie 2020Journal of Integrative Agriculture2020,19,3:9
3Transition from Metastablity to Instability in Dynamics for the Precipitation of δ'(Al_3Li)显示文摘A computer simulation study on dynamics for the precipitation of δ’(Al3Li) ordered particles from a disor- dered matrix (α) in binary Al-Li alloys is performed using the microscopic Langevin equation. A unique precipitation mechanism is found near the ordering spinodal line. Different from the classical nucleation mechanism in the me- tastable region and the congruent ordering followed by spinodal decomposition in the instable region, a nonstoichi- ometric single ordered phase with composition fluctuations is formed by non-classical nucleation, and this ordered phase decomposes spinodally. 4On ferroelectric domain polarization switching mechanism subject to an external electric field by simulations with the phase-field method显示文摘The ferroelectric domain formation(FDF) and polarization switching(FDPS) subjected to an external electric field are simulated using the phase-field(PF) method,and the FDPS mechanism under different external electric fields is discussed.The results show that the FDF is a process of nucleation and growth in ferroelectric without applying any external stress.Four kinds of parallelogram shaped ferroelectric domains are formed at the steady state,in which the 180° anti-phase domains regularly align along the 45° direction and the 90° anti-phase domains regularly distribute like a stepladder.Steady electric fields can rotate domain polarization by 90° and 180°,and force the orientation-favorite domains and the average polarization to grow into larger ones.The greater the steady electric field,the larger the average polarization at the steady state.In ferroelectrics subject to an alternating electric field,domain polarization switches to cause a hysteresis loop and an associated butterfly loop with the alternating electric field.The coercive field and remnant field are enhanced with the increase of the electric field frequency or strength,or with the decrease of temperature.ZHOU GuangZhao WANG YongXin LIU Chong CHEN Zheng 2013Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,5:5
5A cell-based high-throughput approach to identify inhibitors of influenza A virus显示文摘Influenza is one of the most common infections threatening public health worldwide and is caused by the influenza virus.Rapid emergence of drug resistance has led to an urgent need to develop new anti-influenza inhibitors.In this study we established a 293T cell line that constitutively synthesizes a virus-based negative strand RNA,which expresses Gaussia luciferase upon influenza A virus infection.Using this cell line,an assay was developed and optimized to search for inhibitors of influenza virus replication.Biochemical studies and statistical analyses presented herein demonstrate the sensitivity and reproducibility of the assay in a high-throughput format(Z 0 factor value40.8).A pilot screening provides further evidence for validation of the assay.Taken together,this work provides a simple,convenient,and reliable HTS assay to identify compounds with anti-influenza activity.Qian Gao Zhen Wang Zhenlong Liu Xiaoyu Li Yongxin Zhang Zhizhen Zhang Shan Cen 2014Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2014,4,4:5

7The molecular determinants governing the immunogenicity of Japanese encephalitis live attenuated vaccines显示文摘In the course of isolating the attenuated Japanese encephalitis vaccine SA14-14-2,two attenuated strains SA14-9-7 and SA14-5-3 were also obtained that elicited low antibody responses in humans(o10%and 62%,respectively)and exerted much weaker immune protection in animal challenge experiments.However,the reason for these differences remains unknown.In order to understand why SA14-14-2 is superior to SA14-9-7 and SA14-5-3,we employed a reverse genetics method to identify the key mutations in the virus genome that determine the immunogenicity of live attenuated Japanese encephalitis viruses.We first sequenced the full genomic sequences of SA14-9-7 and SA14-5-3 and found mutations that changed four amino-acid base pairs when compared to the envelope gene of SA14-14-2.We mutated the genome of SA14-14-2 to generate these mutations both singly(E-177,E-264,E-279 and E-315)and in combination(E-177/264,E-279/315 and E-177/264/279/315)and tested these mutants along with parental strains SA14-14-2,SA14-9-7 and SA14-5-3 for their immunogenicity in vivo.When mice were immunized with SA14-9-7 and SA14-5-3,lower levels of neutralizing antibodies were generated compared with the immune response to SA14-14-2.Furthermore,SA14-5-3 was more immunogenic than SA14-9-7,which replicated the results previously seen in humans.Point mutations E-177,E-264,E-279 and E-315 diminished the immunogenicity of SA14-14-2 with E-264 and E-315,contributing the most to this phenotype.The mutant rJEV(E-177/E-264/E-279/E-315)containing all four point mutations exhibited the lowest immunogenicity with a seroconversion rate of 0 at an inoculation dose of 103 PFU(plaque-forming unit).We have identified the key amino acids in the envelope protein that account for the superior immunogenicity of SA14-14-2.Yuhua Li Yin Fu Xinyu Liu Huiqiang Yang Yongxin Yu Lili Jia Xuguang Li Aaron Farnsworth Junzhi Wang 2017Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2017,2,1:3

10Effect of acupuncture plus conventional treatment on brain activity in ischemic stroke patients: a regional homogeneity analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To determine differences in cerebral activity evoked by acupuncture and conventional stroke treatment, and identify the treatment targets.METHODS: In total, 21 patients were randomly divided into two groups. Group A(11 patients) received both acupuncture and conventional treatment, while group B(10 patients) received conventional treatment only. Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging(f MRI) was performed on each participant before and after treatment. Regional homogeneity analysis was performed to investigate the potential mechanism of acupuncture treatment by comparing differences in cerebral activity between treatments.RESULTS: Group A showed higher Re Ho in the frontal lobe(BA6, BA46), supra-marginal gyrus(BA40),middle temporal gyrus(BA21), cerebellum, and insula. Group B showed higher Re Ho in the frontal lobe(BA6) and parietal lobe(BA3, BA7).CONCLUSION: Acupuncture and conventional treatment triggered relatively different clinical efficacy and brain responses. Acupuncture treatment more significantly improved the symptoms of stroke patients. 11Rett syndrome-causing mutations compromise MeCP2- mediated liquid—liquid phase separation of chromatin显示文摘Rett syndrome(RTT),a severe postnatal neurodevelopmental disorder,is caused by mutations in the X-linked gene encoding methyl-CpG-binding protein 2(MeCP2).MeCP2 is a chromatin organizer regulating gene expression.RTT-causing mutations have been shown to affect this function.However,the mechanism by which MeCP2 organizes chromatin is unclear.In this study,we found that MeCP2 can induce compaction and liquid-liquid phase separation of nudeosomal arrays in vitro,and DNA methylation further enhances formation of chromatin condensates by MeCP2.Interestingly,RTT-causing mutations compromise MeCP2-mediated chromatin phase separation,while benign variants have little effect on this process.Moreover,MeCP2 competes with linker histone H1 to form mutually exclusive chromatin condensates in vitro and distinct heterochromatin foci in vivo.RTT-causing mutations reduce or even abolish the ability of MeCP2 to compete with histone H1 and to form chromatin condensates.Together,our results identify a novel mechanism by which phase separation underlies MeCP2-mediated heterochromatin formation and reveal the potential link between this process and the pathology of RTT.Liang Wang Mingli Hu Mei-Qing Zuo Jicheng Zhao Di Wu Li Huang Yongxin Wen Yunfan Li Ping Chen Xinhua Bao Meng-Qiu Dong Guohong Li Pilong Li 2020Cell Research2020,30,5:3
12Vessel fusion tracking with a dual-frequency high-frequency surface wave radar and calibrated by an automatic identification system显示文摘High-frequency surface wave radar(HFSWR) and automatic identification system(AIS) are the two most important sensors used for vessel tracking.The HFSWR can be applied to tracking all vessels in a detection area,while the AIS is usually used to verify the information of cooperative vessels.Because of interference from sea clutter,employing single-frequency HFSWR for vessel tracking may obscure vessels located in the blind zones of Bragg peaks.Analyzing changes in the detection frequencies constitutes an effective method for addressing this deficiency.A solution consisting of vessel fusion tracking is proposed using dual-frequency HFSWR data calibrated by the AIS.Since different systematic biases exist between HFSWR frequency measurements and AIS measurements,AIS information is used to estimate and correct the HFSWR systematic biases at each frequency.First,AIS point measurements for cooperative vessels are associated with the HFSWR measurements using a JVC assignment algorithm.From the association results of the cooperative vessels,the systematic biases in the dualfrequency HFSWR data are estimated and corrected.Then,based on the corrected dual-frequency HFSWR data,the vessels are tracked using a dual-frequency fusion joint probabilistic data association(JPDA)-unscented Kalman filter(UKF) algorithm.Experimental results using real-life detection data show that the proposed method is efficient at tracking vessels in real time and can improve the tracking capability and accuracy compared with tracking processes involving single-frequency data.ZHANG Hui LIU Yongxin JI Yonggang WANG Linglin 2018Acta Oceanologica Sinica2018,37,7:3
13Dopaminergic Neurons in the Ventral Tegmental–Prelimbic Pathway Promote the Emergence of Rats from Sevoflurane Anesthesia显示文摘Dopaminergic neurons in the ventral tegmental area(VTA)play an important role in cognition,emergence from anesthesia,reward,and aversion,and their projection to the cortex is a crucial part of the'bottom-up'ascending activating system.The prelimbic cortex(PrL)is one of the important projection regions of the VTA.However,the roles of dopaminergic neurons in the VTA and the VTADA–PrL pathway under sevoflurane anesthesia in rats remain unclear.In this study,we found that intraperitoneal injection and local microinjection of a dopamine D1 receptor agonist(Chloro-APB)into the PrL had an emergence-promoting effect on sevoflurane anesthesia in rats,while injection of a dopamine D1 receptor antagonist(SCH23390)deepened anesthesia.The results of chemogenetics combined with microinjection and optogenetics showed that activating the VTADA–PrL pathway prolonged the induction time and shortened the emergence time of anesthesia.These results demonstrate that the dopaminergic system in the VTA has an emergence-promoting effect and that the bottom-up VTADA–PrL pathway facilitates emergence from sevoflurane anesthesia.Yanping Song Ruitong Chu Fuyang Cao Yanfeng Wang Yanhong Liu Jiangbei Cao Yongxin Guo Weidong Mi Li Tong 2022Neuroscience Bulletin2022,38,4:3
14Magnetic properties related to thermal treatment of pyrite显示文摘Detailed rock magnetic experiments were conducted on high-purity natural crystalline pyrite and its products of thermal treatments in both argon and air atmospheres. In argon atmosphere (reducing environment), the pyrite is altered by heating to magnetite and pyrrhotite; the latter is stable in argon atmosphere, and has coercive force and coercivity of remanence of ~20 and ~30 mT, respectively. Whereas in air, the pyrite is ultimately oxidized to hematite. First order reversal curve (FORC) diagram of the end product shows that the remanence coercivity of hematite is up to ~1400 mT. The corresponding thermal transformation process of pyrite in air can be simply summarized as pyrite→ pyrrhotite→magnetite→hematite. 15Designing Textile Architectures for High Energy-Efficiency Human Body Sweat-and Cooling-Management显示文摘Thermal management of textiles requires local microclimate control over heat and wet dissipation to create a comfortable thermal-wet environment at the interface of the human body and clothing.Herein,we design a fabric capable of both sweat-and cooling-management using a knitted fabric featuring a bilayer structure consisting of hydrophobic polyethylene terephthalate and hydrophilic cellulose fibers to simultaneously achieve high infrared(IR)transmittance and good thermal-wet comfort.The IR transmission of this cooling textile increased by~twofold in the dry state and~eightfold in the wet state compared to conventional cotton fabric.When the porosity changes from 10 to 47%with the comparison of conventional cotton fabric and our cooling textile,the heat flux is increased from 74.4 to 152.3 W/cm^(2).The cooling effect of the cooling fabric is 105%greater than that of commercial cotton fabric,which displays a better thermal management capacity for personal cooling.This bilayer design controls fast moisture transfer from inside out and provides thermal management,demonstrating high impact not only for garments,but also for other systems requiring heat regulation,such as buildings,which could mitigate energy demand and ultimately contribute to the relief of global energy and climate issues.Kun Fu Zhi Yang Yong Pei Yongxin Wang Beibei Xu YuHuang Wang Bao Yang Liangbing Hu 2019Advanced Fiber Materials2019,1,1:3
16Microscopic phase field study of the antisite defect of Ni_3 Al in binary Ni-Al alloys显示文摘The temporal evolution feature of a microscopic phase field model is utilized to study the antisite defects of L1 2-Ni 3 Al;this is quite different from other physicist’ interests.There are mainly two points in brief.Firstly,antisite defects Ni Al and Al Ni ,which are caused by the deviation from the stoichiometric Ni 3 Al,coexist in the Ni 3 Al phase.The surplus Ni atom in the Ni-rich side is prone to substitute Al thus producing the antisite defect Ni Al that maintains the stability of the L1 2 structure.In other case,the surplus Al atom in the Al-rich side is accommodated by a Ni sublattice consequently giving rise to antisite defect Al Ni .The calculated equilibrium occupancy probability of Ni Al is much higher than that of Al Ni .This point is generally in line with other theoretical and experimental works.Additionally,both Ni Al and Al Ni have a strong negative correlation to time step during the disorder-order transformation.Since the initial value of Ni Al and Al Ni on each site of the matrix is right at the concentration that we set,we can observe the decrease process of Ni Al and Al Ni from the initial disordered high anti-structure state to their respective equilibrium state,i.e.to the result of the ordering process further coarsening.ZHANG Jing ,CHEN Zheng,LU YanLi,ZHANG MingYi & WANG YongXin State Key Laboratory of Solidification Processing School of Material Science and Engineering,Northwestern Polytechnical University,Xi’an 710072,China 2010Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2010,53,11:3

20A phase field study for influence of elastic energy on L1_0→L1_2 transient ordering in Ni_(75)Al_(17)Zn_8显示文摘The influence of the elastic energy on L10→L12 transient ordering transformation was investigated by microscopic phase field method. It is found that there are three stages experienced in atomic ordering: solute clustering+L10 short range ordering → L10 long range ordering → L12 long range ordering. Before the formation of the high ordered L12 phase, it has firstly taken place the transformation from matrix to L10 phase, and then held the L10→L12 secondary transformation. Elastic energy is proved to take little effect on the stage of short range ordering, but as the elastic energy is multiplied, it obviously shortened the course of the solute clustering, and speeded up the proceeding of the L10 long range ordering transition. Accordingly, the increased elastic energy also strengthens the single crystalline directionality of L10 phase projecting on 2D plane and makes the ordered degree of Al and Zn atoms enhanced.
