1Zeta Potential and Rheological Behavior of ULC Castables Matrix显示文摘Effects of starting materials and four dispersants(STP,SHP,FDN and FS60) on Zeta potential and rheological behavior of alumina based ULC castables matrix were investigated.The results show that:characteristics of silica fume and alumina cements play a very important role in Zeta potential and viscosity of suspensions of the castables matrix;the dispersants STP and SHP can change Zeta potential values of the matrix suspensions remarkably;the four dispersants can effectively improve the rheological properties of matrix suspensions.For the point of lower viscosity of the matrix suspensions,the suitable additions of the three dispersants(SHP,FDN and FS60) are about 0.2% while that of STP is about 0.3%.XU Yuanchao WANG Zhanmin CAO Xiying 2008China's Refractories2008,17,2:1

3Enhanced carbon solubility in solvent for SiC rapid solution growth:Thermodynamic evaluation of Cr-Ce-Si-C system显示文摘The carbon dissolution in solvent plays a key role in the process of solution growth route for SiC single crystal,which could determine the growth rate and quality of the products.However,the carbon dissolving ability of binary alloy solvent still needs to be improved.Here,we demonstrate the improved carbon dissolution and enlarged carbon supersaturation in Cr-Ce-Si ternary solvent,showing great potential for SiC solution growth.The phase relations of Cr-Ce-Si-C system were determined by using CALPHAD method based on thermodynamic parameters of CeCr_(2)Si_(2)C.It is indicated that the Cr-Ce-Si ternary solvent shows much larger carbon solubility in temperature range from 1700 to 2000℃compared to Cr-Si binary one,Furthermore,the carbon supersaturation in solvent is also significantly increased in low temperature range after the addition of Ce,leading to a rapid growth rate.Our work not only demonstrates the feasibility of adding Ce in the alloy solvent for rapid growth of SiC crystal,but also provides an example for investigating the C solubility in ternary solvent.Lingling Guo Guobin Wang Jiawei Lin Zhongnan Guo Zesheng Zhang Hui Li Zhanmin Cao Wenxia Yuan 2023Journal of Rare Earths2023,41,8:1

5Study on Mechanism of Explosive Spalling of ULC Castables During Rapid Drying显示文摘Inner vapor pressure and temperature of vulnerable explosive spalling positions in refractory castables during rapid drying were measured by embedding pressure transmitting pipes and thermocouples during casting. The measured vapor pressure, temperature, and tensile strength of the castables were analyzed and discussed. A hollow sphere shell model was used to analyze the stress induced by the vapor pressure based on the structure of refractory castables. The mechanism of refractory castables explosive spalling caused by vapor-induced pore split was proposed. 6Effect of H_(2)O_(2) Addition on Anti-explosion Performance of p-Al_(2)O_(3) Bonded Corundum Castables显示文摘In order to improve the anti-explosion performance ofρ-Al_(2)O_(3) bonded corundum castables,H_(2)O_(2) was added(0,0.025%,0.050%,0.075%,0.100%and 0.125%,by mass)as the anti-explosion agent.After mixing and casting,specimens were prepared.Some specimens were cured at room temperature for 12 h and demoulded for the anti-explosion performance test at different temperatures(450,500,550,600,650,700,750 and 800℃);the other specimens were cured,dried and fired,and tested in terms of the apparent porosity,the density,the cold mechanical properties,the air permeability and the pore size distribution.The results show that:(1)with the increase of the H_(2)O_(2) addition,the anti-explosion performance of castables increases gradually,the average pore size increases gradually,and the density and the strength decrease gradually;(2)by comprehensive consideration,the appropriate addition of H_(2)O_(2) shall be within 0.075%.WANG Huan WANG Zhanmin FENG Haixia CAO Yingnan LIU Jun XU Yingshun 2023China's Refractories2023,32,1:0
7High Temperature Gas Permeability Tester for Refractories and Its Application显示文摘In this paper,an ideal structural model and a scientific and practical mathematical model of high temperature permeability testing technology were established based on the formula of gas permeability at room temperature according to Darcy’s equation and Forchheimer equation and combined with the basic law of gas mechanics and the resistance loss of gas movement process at high temperatures.Through a gas heater,the safe heating of gas from room temperature to the test temperature was realized;the pressure sealing of high temperature permeability test technology was studied using high temperature resistant flexible material instead of silica gel material and combining preloading with system expansion and continuous loading.Based on the above research,a high temperature gas permeability tester for refractories has been developed and the test temperature can be up to 1000℃.The equipment was applied to research refractories,showing well using effects.HU Piao SONG Yanyan WANG Zhanmin LI Ruhang LI Xiaorui 2020China's Refractories2020,29,1:0

9Effect of Al Addition on Properties of Al_2O_3-SiC-C Dry Ramming Mixes for BF Trough显示文摘Aluminium powders were introduced to Al2O3-SiC-C dry ramming mixes in order to improve sintering properties and oxidation resistance according to their service conditions and installation methods. Properties such as bulk density, porosity, modulus of rupture, crushing strength and hot modulus of rupture as a function of aluminium addition were investigated in the present work. The microstructure and thermodynamics for the heat treated specimens were also analyzed. The results show that as aluminium addition increasing, the bulk density of the specimen treated at 220 ℃ tends to decrease and the apparent porosity increases, the strength of the specimens treated at 1 100 ℃ and 1 450 ℃ increases markedly, the bulk density tends to increase, apparent porosity and linear shrinkage decrease. The HMOR at 1 400 ℃ is enhanced from 1.0 MPa to 3.5 MPa with 3% aluminium. Aluminium is served as sintering agent and anti-oxidant and it will react with CO and CO2 forming Al2O3, which is helpful to enhance the strength, densify the structure and improve the overall properties.WANG Zhanmin WANG Qiang CAO Xiying 2008China's Refractories2008,17,3:0
10Internal Stress of Dense Refractory Castables During Unilateral Heating显示文摘The change of the internal stress of dense refractory castables during unilateral rapid heating was studied by the electric stress measurement. The results indicate that:(1) during rapid heating,the position near the heated surface is under compressive stress; the closer the position to the heated surface,the larger the compressive stress;(2) the specimen bursts during the rapid heating;(3)the calculated stress of the structure at the burst moment shows that the compressive stress produced at the same depth as the cracking surface exceeds the ultimate strength of the structure.zhang xin liu yan wang zhanmin cao xiying zhao jin lu zhiqiang 2018China's Refractories2018,27,1:0
11Formation of Polytypoids(12H and 21R)in High Temperature Nitrogen Atmosphere and Their Effects on SiC-MgAl_(2)O_(4) Composites显示文摘SiC-MgAl_(2)O_(4) composites with SiAlON polytypoids(12H and 21R)as the bonding phases were prepared using SiC fine powder,MgAl_(2)O_(4)fine powder and Al powder as raw materials.The effects of the firing temperature and the mass ratio of SiC to MgAl_(2)O_(4) on the formation of SiAlON polytypoids as well as on the properties of samples were studied.The formation mechanism of SiAlON polytypoids was discussed.The results show that firing at 1650℃in the nitrogen atmosphere,SiC-MgAl_(2)O_(4) composites with SiAlON polytypoids can be obtained.With the gradual increase of the mass ratio of SiC to MgAl_(2)O_(4) in the raw materials,12H forms first,and then coexists with 21H,finally,all 12H converts into 21R in samples.Both phases are plate crystals with flat and smooth edges.Compared with 21R,12H is conducive to improving the density and the cold mechanical properties of materials.After firing at 1650℃in the nitrogen atmosphere,with the mass ratio of SiC to MgAl_(2)O_(4) of 6:4,the sample has the cold modulus of rupture of 27 MPa,showing the optimal performance.GU Chenwei WANG Zhanmin ZHAO Shixian SI Yaochen XIA Miao 2023China's Refractories2023,32,2:0
12Single-cell RNA-seq of Lotus japonicus provide insights into identification and function of root cell types of legume显示文摘The roots of legume plant play a crucial role in nitrogen fixation. However, the transcriptomes of different cell types of legume root and their functions remain largely unknown. Here, we performed single-cell RNA sequencing and profiled more than 22,000 single cells from root tips of Lotus japonicus, a model species of legume.We identified seven clusters corresponding to seven major cell types, which were validated by in situ hybridization. Further analysis revealed regulatory programs including phytohormone and nodulation associated with specific cell types, and revealed conserved and diverged features for the cell types.
