| 1 | Preliminary calibration results for Jason-3 and Sentinel-3 altimeters in the Wanshan Islands显示文摘We present preliminary calibration results for Jason-3 and Sentinel-3A altimeters that we set up in the Wanshan Islands in Guandong Province,China.Two campaigns were carried out in 2018,from March 8 to April 16 and from November 3 to December 11,2018.Three GPS reference stations and tide gauges were established on the islands of Zhiwan,Dangan,and Wailingding during the campaigns.The in-situ sea surface height(SSH)of the altimeter footprint was determined using the tide gauge.The tidal and geoid connection between the tide gauge locations and the altimeter footprints were computed with the NAO.99Jb tidal prediction system and the EGM 2008 geoid,respectively.The data of the tide gauges were defi ned using the GPS buoy and GPS reference stations during the campaigns.The results show that the waveform of the altimeters was slightly contaminated by the small islands.The bias associated with Jason-3 and Sentinel-3A amounted to approximately+20.7±49.7 mm and+30.1±39.4 mm,respectively,which agreed well with the results from other in-situ calibration fi elds.This indicates that the Wanshan area was very suitable as an in-situ calibration/validation fi eld.The wet zenith delay(WZD)determined from the Microwave Radiometer(MWR)and the GPS measurements diff ered from each other for the Jason-3 and Sentinel-3A by−6.6±7.4 mm and 0±6.8 mm,respectively. | Wanlin ZHAI Jianhua ZHU Xiaohui FAN Longhao YAN Chuntao CHEN Zhen TIAN | 2021 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2021,39,2: | 1 |
| 2 | Abnormalcortical thickness in relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis,correlations with cognition impairment,and effect of modified Bushenyisui decoction(补肾益髓汤)on cognitive function of multiple sclerosis显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the changes of subcortical gray matter volume and cortical thickness,andexplorethe correlations between regional abnormalities of cortical thickness and cognitive impairment and the effect of modified Bushenyisui decoction(补肾益髓汤,BSYSD)on the cognitive function of multiple sclerosis(MS).METHODS:This prospective study was approved by the institutional review board.92 subjects were recruited,including 46 relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis(RRMS)patients and 46 healthy controls(HC).Of the 46 patients,22 patients experienced the treatment of BSYSD for half a year.A conventional three-dimensional T1-weighted sequence were acquired for all participants on a 3.0 tesla magnetic resonance system.Basic information,detailed cognitive scales Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA),symbol digit modalities test(SDMT),immediate memory,delayed recall,and long-term recognition were evaluated.Subcortical gray matter volume and cortical thickness weremeasured by FreeSurfer.The correlations between cortical thickness which MS patients showed reduced with respect to HC and cognitive scales wereanalyzed by Pearson correlation in RRMS patients.The influence of modified BSYSD on MS patients'cognition was analyzed by paired T Test.RESULTS:MoCA,immediate memory,delayed recall,and long-term delayed recognition in RRMS were significantly decreased than those of HC.Gray matter atrophy measured by FreeSurfer showed mainly in thalamus and hippocampus of RRMS patients.Compared with HC,the cortical thickness of several regions in frontal lobe,parietal lobe,temporal lobe,hippocampal,cingulate gyrus,and fusiform gyrus of RRMS patients were decreased with significant difference.The regions of cortical thickness thinning related to MoCA,immediate memory,delayed recall,and long-term delayed recognition were temporal lobe and fusiform gyrus.Modified BSYSD could improve MoCA,SDMT,immediate memory,delayed recall,and long-term delayed recognition of MS patients,and it could promote the recovery of cognitive function in MS patients.CONCLUSIONS:Gray matter atrophy and cortical thickness thinning were validated in RRMS.Cortical thickness thinning of temporal lobe and fusiform gyrus strongly related to cognitive deficits in RRMS.The modified BSYSD could promote the recovery of cognitive function in MS. | ZHAO Xuesong YANG Tao CHENG Fang YANG Song ZHU Wanlin LI Shaowu FAN Yongping | 2021 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,2: | 1 |
| 3 | Ocular surface and tear film changes after eyelid surgery显示文摘Eyelid surgery is widely and extensively used in facial plastic and reconstructive surgeries.There are many categories of eyelid surgeries,the most common of which include blepharoplasty,ptosis surgery,and eyelid reconstruction.In many cases,these procedures are combined,and there are many different techniques for each type of operation.Upper eyelid blepharoplasty usually includes the excision of skin,preseptal orbicularis oculi muscle,and orbital fat.Common methods of lower eyelid blepharoplasty are the skin-muscle flap,the skin flap,and the transconjunctival.Ptosis surgery is mainly divided into three types:transcutaneous,transconjunctival,and sling surgery.Surgeons often used the Hughes or Cutler-Beard Bridge Flaps in eyelid reconstruction.Different types and methods of surgery have their own advantages and disadvantages,and postoperative complications may occur.Therefore,postoperative complications of eyelid surgeries,such as dry eye symptoms,should be taken into serious consideration.Relevant literature involving these complaints can be found in PubMed by searching the terms“dry eye”,“eyelid”,“surgery”,and other related keywords.Moreover,various ocular surface and tear film alterations may be detected using the Ocular Surface Disease Index(OSDI),tear film breakup time,Schirmer test,fluorescein staining,and lissamine green staining after various eyelid surgeries.As dry eye disease is prevalent in the general population,it is more urgent to figure out what we can learn from these complaints.Further exploration in this field may help surgeons to choose a better surgical method and give an accurate evaluation of the postoperative effect. | Wanlin Fan Alexander C.Rokohl Yongwei Guo Ludwig M.Heindl | 2021 | Annals of Eye Science2021,,1: | 0 |
| 4 | A comparative genomics analysis of lung adenocarcinoma for Chinese population by using panel of recurrent mutations显示文摘Previous studies have demonstrated that Chinese lung adenocarcinoma(LUAD)patients have unique genetic characteristics,however,the specific genomic features relating to the development and treatment of LUAD in the Chinese population are not fully understood.Here,we applied the ultra-deep targeted sequencing to 66 Chinese LUAD samples,accompanied by comparative analysis with 162 Caucasian LUAD in The Cancer Genome Atlas.We focused on the 68 recurrently mutated genes and results revealed that the panel-based tumor mutational burden(pTMB)is significantly higher in the Chinese LUAD(P=0.0017).Additionally,the percentage of smoking-associated C>A transversion is significantly lower in Chinese LUAD(15.5%vs.39.7%,P=5.69×10^(-27)),while C>T transition is more frequent in Chinese LUAD(35.8%vs.25.7%,P=2.67×10^(-5)),which indicated the ethnic difference in mutation types.Notably,novel driver genes(GNAS and JAK1)that are peculiar to Chinese LUAD were identified,and a more convergent distribution of mutations was observed in the Chinese cohort(P=0.012)compared with scattered mutations in Caucasian LUAD.Our results present a distinct genomic profile of Chinese LUAD compared to Caucasians LUAD and elucidate the ethnic difference in mutation distribution besides the type and rate. | Wanlin Li Min Wu Qianqian Wang Kun Xu Fan Lin Qianghu Wang Renhua Guo | 2021 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2021,35,1: | 0 |
| 5 | Measurement of the sea surface using a GPS towing-body in Wanshan area显示文摘Wanshan area has been chosen to be the specified field to calibrate and validate(Cal/Val)the HY-2 altimeter and its follow-on satellites.In March 2018,an experiment has been conducted to determine the sea surface height(SSH)under the HY-2 A ground track(Pass No.203).A GPS towing-body(GPS-TB)was designed to measure the SSH covering an area of about 6 km×28 km wide centered on the HY-2 A altimeter satellite ground track.Three GPS reference stations,one tide gauge and a GPS buoy were placed in the research area,in order to process and resolve the kinematic solution and check the precision of the GPS-TB respectively.All the GPS data were calculated by the GAMIT/GLOBK software and TRACK module.The sea surface was determined by the GPS-TB solution and the tide gauge placed on Zhiwan Island.Then the sea surface of this area was interpolated by Arc GIS10.2 with ordinary Kriging method.The results showed that the precision of the GPS-TB is about 1.10 cm compared with the tide gauge placed nearby,which has an equivalent precision with the GPS buoy.The interpolated sea surface has a bias of–1.5–4.0 cm with standard deviation of 0.2–2.4 cm compared with the checking line.The gradient of the measured sea surface is about 1.62 cm/km along the HY-2 orbit which shows a good agreement compared with the CLS11 mean sea surface(MSS).In the Cal/Val of satellites,the sea surface between the tide gauge/GPS buoy and the footprint of altimeter can be improved by this work. | Wanlin Zhai Jianhua Zhu Chaofei Ma Xiaohui Fan Longhao Yan He Wang Chuntao Chen | 2020 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2020,39,5: | 0 |
