| 1 | A cellular automata evacuation model considering friction and repulsion显示文摘There exist interactions among pedestrians and between pedestrian and environment in evacuation. These interactions include attraction, repulsion and friction that play key roles in human evacuation behaviors, speed and efficiency. Most former evacuation models focus on the attraction force, while repulsion and friction are not well modeled. As a kind of multi-particle self-driven model, the social force model introduced in recent years can represent those three forces but with low simulation efficiency because it is a continuous model with complex rules. Discrete models such as the cellular automata model and the lattice gas model have simple rules and high simulation efficiency, but are not quite suitable for interactions’ simulation. In this paper, a new cellular automata model based on traditional models is introduced in which repulsion and friction are modeled quantitatively. | 2 | Adsorption of VOCs on reduced graphene oxide显示文摘A modified Hummer's method was adopted for the synthesis of graphene oxide(GO) and reduced graphene oxide(rGO). It was revealed that the modified method is effective for the production of GO and rGO from graphite. Transmission electron microscopy(TEM) images of GO and rGO showed a sheet-like morphology. Because of the presence of oxygenated functional groups on the carbon surface, the interlayer spacing of the prepared GO was higher than that of rGO. The presence of \OH and C_O groups in the Fourier transform infrared spectra(FTIR) spectrum and G-mode and 2D-mode in Raman spectra confirmed the synthesis of GO and rGO. rGO(292.6 m^2/g) showed higher surface area than that of GO(236.4 m^2/g). The prepared rGO was used as an adsorbent for benzene and toluene(model pollutants of volatile organic compounds(VOCs)) under dynamic adsorption/desorption conditions. rGO showed higher adsorption capacity and breakthrough times than GO. The adsorption capacity of rGO for benzene and toluene was 276.4 and 304.4 mg/g, respectively.Desorption experiments showed that the spent rGO can be successfully regenerated by heating at 150.0°C. | 10 | Sudden cardiac arrest in a patient with epilepsy induced by chronic inflammation on the cerebral surface显示文摘The present study analyzed a patient with epilepsy due to chronic inflammation on the cerebral surface underwent sudden cardiac arrest. Paradoxical brain discharge, which occurred prior to ep-ileptic seizures, induced a sudden cardiac arrest. However, when the focal brain pressure was re-lieved, cardiac arrest disappeared. A 27-year-old male patient underwent pre-surgical vid-eo-electroencephalogram monitoring for 160 hours. During monitoring, secondary tonic-clonic sei-zures occurred five times. A burst of paradoxical brain discharges occurred at 2-19 seconds (mean 8 seconds) prior to epileptic seizures. After 2-3 seconds, sudden cardiac arrest occurred and lasted for 12-22 seconds (average 16 seconds). The heart rate subsequently returned to a normal rate. Results revealed arachnoid pachymenia and adhesions, as well as mucus on the focal cerebral surface, combined with poor circulation and increased pressure. Intracranial electrodes were placed using surgical methods. Following removal of the arachnoid adhesions and mucus on the local ce-rebral surface, paradoxical brain discharge and epileptic seizures occurred three times, but sudden cardiac arrest was not recorded during 150-hour monitoring. Post-surgical histological examination indicated meningitis. | 11 | The clinical implication of gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase in COVID-19显示文摘Background and aim:Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)is a life-threatening disease that predomi-nantly causes respiratory failure.The impact of COVID-19 on other organs remains elusive.Herein,we aimed to investigate the effects of COVID-19 on the hepatobiliary system.Methods:In the current study,we obtained the clinical records and laboratory results from 66 laboratory-confirmed patients with COVID-19 at the Wuhan Tongji Hospital between 10 February 2020 and 28 February 2020.The detailed clinical features and laboratory findings were collected for analysis.Bioinformatics analysis was conducted to evaluate the correlation between gamma-glutamyl transferase(GGT)and severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)entry receptor angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2).Results:In this cohort,30(51.7%)patients had abnormal liver function on admission,which was asso-ciated with disease severity and enriched in the male and diabetic patients.The elevated levels of direct bilirubin(P¼0.029)and GGT(P¼0.004)were common in patients with severe pneumonia when compared with those with mild pneumonia.In addition,elevated levels of GGT(P¼0.003)and aspartate aminotransferase(AST)(P¼0.007)were positively associated with longer hospital stay.The expression of ACE2 was closely associated with GGT in various human tissues because they shared the common transcriptional regulator hepatic nuclear factor-1 b(HNF1B).Conclusions:Increased GGT levels were common in severe cases and elevated GGT levels were positively associated with prolonged hospital stay and disease severity.Due to the consistent expression with ACE2,GGT is a potent biomarker indicating the susceptibility of SARS-CoV-2 infection. | Jianrong Liu Chao Yu Qing Yang Xiaofeng Yuan Fan Yang Panlong Li Guihua Chen Weicheng Liang Yang Yang | 2021 | Liver Research2021,5,4: | 0 |
| 12 | Facile construction of honeycomb-shaped porous carbon electrode materials using recyclable sodium chloride template for efficient lithium storage显示文摘Carbon materials are the preferred anode materials for Li-ion batteries.Here,we propose an easy and sustainable strategy to prepare honeycomb-shaped porous carbon(HPC)electrode materials through a process involving simple calcination and subsequent water washing by using polyvinyl-pyrrolidone(PVP)as carbon source and NaCl as pore-forming agent.A controllable cavity size and distribution of the carbon materials can be readily obtained solely by adjusting the NaCl amount.Results showed that the optimized HPC sample had a relatively uniform cavity distribution and a highly porous structure.Moreover,the special honeycomb-shaped structure was conducive to the electronic conductivity of the electrode materials,provided a short path for Li-ion transport and a wide interface with the electrolyte,and buffered the volume change of active materials.The special honeycomb-shaped structure was also maintained well after long cycles,which improved electrode stability.When used as anode materials for Li-ion batteries(LIBs),the sample demonstrated excellent cycling stability and rate performance,with a high specific capacity of 230 mA hg^-1 and a reversible capacity of 197 mA hg^-1,after 1200 cycles at 2 C.Overall,we introduced a simple strategy for the potential mass production of porous carbon materials for LIBs. | FANG ShiQing HE HaoXuan YU YingHui LI Xiao XIE WeiCheng LI Wei JIN LuQiao YANG ZhenYu CAI JianXin | 2020 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,10: | 0 |

| 15 | Effect of Mixed Oxide Support for Ni/ZnO in Reactive Adsorption Desulfurization显示文摘The effect of mixed oxide support on the performance of Ni/ZnO in the reactive adsorption desulfurization(RADS) reaction was investigated in a fixed bed reactor by using thiophene as the sulfur-containing compound in the model gasoline. A series of oxide supports for Ni/ZnO were synthesized by the co-precipitation method and characterized by XRD, N_2-adsorption, TPR and NH_3-TPD techniques. It was found that the desulfurization capacity of Ni/ZnO was enhanced greatly when active components were supported on the proper mixed oxide. Ni/ZnO supported on oxides exhibited much higher desulfurization efficiency and sulfur adsorption capacity than the unsupported Ni/ZnO and the synthesized Ni/ZnO-SA adsorbent exhibited the highest efficiency for thiophene removal. The higher desulfurization activity and sulfur capacity of Ni/ZnO supported on SiO_2-Al_2O_3 with small particle size, high specific surface area and large pore volume could promote the high dispersion of active metal phase and the transfer of sulfur to ZnO with lower mass transfer resistance. γ-Al_2O_3 species could weaken the interaction of active phases and SiO_2 as well as could increase greatly the amount of weak acids.
