2Precipitation and hot deformation behavior of austenitic heat-resistant steels: A review显示文摘The austenitic heat resistant-steels have been considered as important candidate materials for advanced supercritical boilers, nuclear reactors, super heaters and chemical reactors, due to their favorable combination of high strength, corrosion resistance, perfect mechanical properties, workability and low cost.Since the precipitation behavior of the steels during long-term service at elevated temperature would lead to the deterioration of mechanical properties, it is essential to clarify the evolution of secondary phases in the microstructure of the steels. Here, a summary of recent progress in the precipitation behavior and the coarsening mechanism of various precipitates during aging in austenitic steels is made. Various secondary phases are formed under service conditions, like MX carbonitrides, M_(23)C_6 carbides, Z phase, sigma phase and Laves phase. It is found that the coarsening rate of M_(23)C_6 carbides is much higher than that of MX carbonitrides. 3Queue Size Distribution of Geo/G/1 Queue Under the Min(N,D)-Policy显示文摘This paper considers a discrete-time Geo/G/1 queue under the Min(N,D)-policy in which the idle server resumes its service if either N customers accumulate in the system or the total backlog of the service times of the waiting customers exceeds D,whichever occurs first(Min(N,D)-policy).By using renewal process theory and total probability decomposition technique,the authors study the transient and equilibrium properties of the queue length from the beginning of the arbitrary initial state,and obtain both the recursive expression of the z-transformation of the transient queue length distribution and the recursive formula for calculating the steady state queue length at arbitrary time epoch n^+.Meanwhile,the authors obtain the explicit expressions of the additional queue length distribution.Furthermore,the important relations between the steady state queue length distributions at different time epochs n^-,n and n^+ are also reported.Finally,the authors give numerical examples to illustrate the effect of system parameters on the steady state queue length distribution,and also show from numerical results that the expressions of the steady state queue length distribution is important in the system capacity design.GU Jianxiong WEI Yingyuan TANG Yinghui YU Miaomiao 2016Journal of Systems Science & Complexity2016,29,3:12

6Development and utilization of a new chemically-induced soybean library with a high mutation density显示文摘Mutagenized populations have provided important materials for introducing variation and identifying gene function in plants. In this study, an ethyl methanesulfonate(EMS)-induced soybean(Glycine max) population,consisting of 21,600 independent M_2 lines, was developed.Over 1,000 M_(4(5))families, with diverse abnormal phenotypes for seed composition, seed shape, plant morphology and maturity that are stably expressed across different environments and generations were identified. Phenotypic analysis of the population led to the identification of a yellow pigmentation mutant, gyl, that displayed significantly decreased chlorophyll(Chl) content and abnormal chloroplast development. Sequence analysis showed that gyl is allelic to Minn Gold, where a different single nucleotide polymorphism variation in the Mg-chelatase subunit gene(ChlI1a) results in golden yellow leaves. A cleaved amplified polymorphic sequence marker was developed and may be applied to marker-assisted selection for the golden yellow phenotype in soybean breeding. 7Proteomic analysis of heat stress resistance of cucumber leaves when grafted onto Momordica rootstock显示文摘Various biotic and abiotic stresses threaten the cultivation of future agricultural crops.Among these stresses,heat stress is a major abiotic stress that substantially reduces agricultural productivity.Many strategies to enhance heat stress tolerance of crops have been developed,among which is grafting.Here,we show that Momordica-grafted cucumber scions have intrinsically enhanced chlorophyll content,leaf area,and net photosynthetic rate under heat stress compared to plants grafted onto cucumber rootstock.To investigate the mechanisms by which Momordica rootstock enhanced cucumber scions heat stress tolerance,comparative proteomic analysis of cucumber leaves in response to rootstock-grafting and/or heat stress was conducted.Seventy-seven differentially accumulated proteins involved in diverse biological processes were identified by two-dimensional electrophoresis(2-DE)in conjunction with matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight/time-of-flight mass spectrometry(MALDI-TOF/TOF MS).The following four main categories of proteins were involved:photosynthesis(42.8%),energy and metabolism(18.2%),defense response(14.3%),and protein and nucleic acid biosynthesis(11.7%).Proteomic analysis revealed that scions grafted onto Momordica rootstocks upregulated more proteins involved in photosynthesis compared to scions grafted onto cucumber rootstocks under heat stress and indicated enhanced photosynthetic capacity when seedlings were exposed to heat stress.Furthermore,the expression of photosynthesis-related genes in plants grafted onto Momordica rootstocks significantly increased in response to heat stress.In addition,increased high-temperature tolerance of plants grafted onto Momordica rootstock was associated with the accumulation of ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase(Rubisco)and oxygen-evolving enhancer protein 1(OEE1).Taken together,the data indicated that Momordica rootstock might alleviate growth inhibition caused by heat stress by improving photosynthesis,providing valuable insight into enhancing heat stress tolerance in the global warming epoch.Ye Xu Yinghui Yuan Nanshan Du Yu Wang Sheng Shu Jin Sun Shirong Guo 2018Horticulture Research2018,5,1:6
8Mechanical properties and microstructure of TRIP steels produced using TSCR process显示文摘C-Si-Mn TRIP steels were produced using the thin slab casting and rolling (TSCR) process under simulation in laboratory. The results of tensile tests show that the yield strength,tensile strength,and the total elongation of the experimental TRIP steels are 430 MPa,610 MPa,and 28.4%,respectively. Optical microscopy,scanning electron microscopy (SEM),and transmission electron micros-copy (TEM) were employed to identify the microstructures of the TRIP steels. The final microstructures consist of ferrite,bainite,and retained austenite. 9Expansion of the South China Sea basin:Constraints from magnetic anomaly stripes,sea floor topography,satellite gravity and submarine geothermics显示文摘The widely distributed E-W-trending magnetic anomaly stripes in the central basin and the N-Etrending magnetic anomaly stripes in the southwest sub-basin provide the most important evidence for Neogene expansion of the South China Sea.The expansion mechanism remains,however,controversial because of the lack of direct drilling data,non-systematic marine magnetic survey data,and irregular magnetic anomaly stripes with two obvious directions.For example,researchers have inferred different ages and episodes of expansion for the central basin and southwest sub-basin.Major controversy centers on the order of basinal expansion and the mechanism of expansion for the entire South China Sea basin.This study attempts to constrain these problems from a comprehensive analysis of the seafloor topography,magnetic anomaly stripes,regional aeromagnetic data,satellite gravity,and submarine geothermics.The mapped seafloor terrain shows that the central basin is a north-south rectangle that is relatively shallow with many seamounts,whereas the southwest sub-basin is wide in northeast,gradually narrows to the southwest,and is relatively deeper with fewer seamounts.Many magnetic anomaly stripes are present in the central basin with variable dimensions and directions that are dominantly EWtrending,followed by the NE-,NW- and NS-trending.Conversely such stripes are few in the southwest sub-basin and mainly NE-trending.Regional magnetic data suggest that the NW-trending Ailaoshan-Red River fault extends into the South China Sea,links with the central fault zone in the South China Sea,which extends further southward to Reed Tablemount.Satellite gravity data show that both the central basin and southwest sub-basin are composed of oceanic crust.The Changlong seamount is particularly visible in the southwest sub-basin and extends eastward to the Zhenbei seamount.Also a low gravity anomaly zone coincides with the central fault zone in the sub-basin.The submarine geothermic distribution demonstrates that the southwest sub-basin has a higher geothermal value than the central basin,and that the central fault zone is defined by a low thermal anomaly.This study suggests that NW-SE expansion of the southwest subbasin is later than the N-S expansion of the central basin with the sub-basin extending into the central basin and with both expansions ending at the same time.The expansion of southwestern sub-basin,similar to the Japanese Sea,is likely caused by left-lateral strike slip on the central fault zone in the South China Sea,which may have significance for finding oil and gas in this region.Xuezhong Yu Chunji Xue Haigang Shi Weiping Zhu Yinghui Liu Hang Yin 2017Geoscience Frontiers2017,8,1:3

12Thrombopoietin induced proliferation and differentiation of fetal liver CD34^+ cells with phenotype change from hemopoiesis to neurogenesis显示文摘BACKGROUND: Previous studies have reported a neurotrophin-like motif in the N-terminal receptor binding region of the thrombopoietin (TPO) molecule, and have described localization of TPO and TPO receptor in the brain. Therefore, it is believed that TPO may be involved in regulation of neurogenesis. OBJECTIVE: To validate the effect of TPO on trans-differentiation, or differentiation from hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) to neural stem cells (NSCs). DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: Comparative studies were performed from March 2004 to April 2007 at the Department of Experimental Medicine, Northern Hospital, and the Department of Immunology, Fourth Military Medical University of Chinese PLA. MATERIALS: Human fetal liver (FL) was obtained from fetuses after water-balloon abortion. Gestational age ranged from 16 to 20 weeks. The study was approved by the Institutional Review Board and Ethics Committee of the Northern Hospital. TPO was kindly provided by Genentech Inc (USA). Iscove's Modified Dulbecco's Medium (IMDM) and neurobasalTM medium were purchased from Invitrogen (USA). MACS CD34 multisort kit was purchased from Miltenyi Biotec (Germany). METHODS: CD34+ cells were isolated from human FL mononuclear cells using MACS CD34 multisort kit and cultured at 1 × 105/mL in IMDM, containing TPO for 60 days with weekly changes of half of the medium. After culturing for 30 and 60 days, the TPO-induced cells were resuspended in neurobasalTM medium containing 10% fetal brain extracts and plated in an 8-well BIOCOAT poly-D-Lysine Culture Slide and cul- tured for another 7 days. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Cell number, viability, phenotype and expression of hemopoiesis-related and neurogenesis-related proteins were examined by trypan blue exclusion with hemocytometer, immunoblot, immunocytochemistry and flow cytometry. RESULTS: After 60 days of induction with TPO, the cell number increased by 4.6-fold compared to the ini- tial culture. Although the proportion of the cells expressing the hemopoietic stem cell associated antigen (CD34) decreased steadily, both proportions of the cultured FL-derived CD34+ cells expressing CD41a and CD61 remained unchanged, which still accounted for 10%. Noticeably, the proportions of the cells express- ing nestin and epidermal growth factor receptor increased significantly (both > 50%), whereas the expression of more mature neural or glial proteins [microtubule-associated protein-2 (MAP2), glial fibrillary acidic pro- tein (GFAP), oligodendrocyte marker O4 (O4)] markers on the cultured fetal liver derived-CD34+ cells were at lower levels. After another 7 days incubation in neurobasal? medium, these TPO-induced cells formed neurospheres, which were labeled with nestin, and differentiated into cells with morphological characteristics of neurons, astrocytes and oligodendrocytes, which were labeled with MAP-2, GFAP, and O4, respectively. 13Coherent coupling of vibrational states in the MEH-PPV film investigated through Multi-Color Photon Echo显示文摘The poly-[2-methoxy,(5-2′-ethyl-hexyloxy)-p-phenylene vinylene](MEH-PPV) film is investigated by means of the Multi-Color Photon Echo(MCPE) technique. Under the three-order nonlinear response theory,the reason for the occurrence of the quantum beats in the time domain and the relations among signal wavevector,pulse sequence and response function are discussed. 19Using of the surface plasmon resonance cytosensor for real-time and non-invasive monitoring of cellular effects in living C6 cells induced by PMA显示文摘Developing novel instruments and technologies for spatio-temporal and dynamic meas-urements of the intricate cellular effects involving molecular translocation, signal transduction, and molecular interactions inside living cells is essential for the cell and molecular biology science. For the purpose of monitoring and investigating molecular events in living cells at real-time, the surface plasmon resonance based cytosensor (SBCS) for cell cultur-ing and signal monitoring was established, and on the basis of it, the corresponding technology was also established by monitoring and analyzing SPR re-sponses induced in rat C6 glioma cells by phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate (PMA). The SPR signals induced by PMA in living C6 cells were significantly different from those groups without cells. These re-sponses were strongly dependent on and saturable to the concentrations of PMA, and could be sup-pressed by the specific and potent PKC inhibitors, which indicated that the measured signal could be the reflection of the redistribution of intracellular components near the cell membrane triggered by the activation of PKC. This research provides a quantita-tive and non-invasive technique to study the spa-tio-temporal characteristics of the cellular effects in living cells at real-time.
