1Experimental realization of honeycomb borophene显示文摘We report the successful preparation of a purely honeycomb,graphene-like borophene,by using an Al(11 1) surface as the substrate and molecular beam epitaxy(MBE) growth in ultrahigh vacuum.Scanning tunneling microscopy(STM) images reveal perfect monolayer borophene with planar,non-buckled honeycomb lattice similar as graphene.Theoretical calculations show that the honeycomb borophene on Al(1 1 1) is energetically stable.Remarkably,nearly one electron charge is transferred to each boron atom from the Al(1 1 1) substrate and stabilizes the honeycomb borophene structure,in contrast to the negligible charge transfer in case of borophene/Ag(1 1 1).The existence of honeycomb 2 D allotrope is important to the basic understanding of boron chemistry,and it also provides an ideal platform for fabricating boron-based materials with intriguing electronic properties such as Dirac states.Wenbin Li Longjuan Kong Caiyun Chen Jian Gou Shaoxiang Sheng Weifeng Zhang Hui Li Lan Chen Peng Cheng Kehui Wu 2018Science Bulletin2018,63,5:7
2Hypothalamic paraventricular nucleus neurons activated by estrogen GPER1 receptors promote anti-inflammation effects in the early stage of colitis显示文摘The hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal(HPA)axis is known to mediate gut-brain interaction,and the pathological inflammatory process in the intestine can induce HPA axis involved'fight or flight response to suppress or facilitate intestinal inflammation.Hypothalamic paraventricular nucleus(PVN)neurons are responsible for controlling the HPA axis activity,but their exact role in modulating intestinal inflammation remains unclear.In this study,we used the dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)-induced mice colitis model,gene editing,and RNA interference to determine the effects of PVN neurons on intestinal inflammation.We found that at the early stage(third day)after DSS treatment,there was a mild inflammation in the colorectal area and an increased neuron activatio n in the PVN but not in the adjace nt area.At the same time,~80% of activated PVN n eurons also expressed novel estrogen GPER1 receptor.The colitis noticeably worsened in GPER1-knockout mice and local PVN GPER1-knockdown mice.These results indicated that PVN GPER1 positive neurons potentially have a protective function during the early stages of DSS-induced colitis,and this may be a mechanism by which the central nervous system attempts to suppress intestinal inflammation to achieve self-protection.Tao Jiang Ruoxi Wang Wen Yin Yuxi Zhou Dexu Kong Saihong Xu Po Gao Weifeng Yu Yingfu Jiao Daxiang Wen 2019Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,12:1
3In situ Carbon Modification of g-C3N4 from Urea co-Crystal with Enhanced Photocatalytic Activity Towards Degradation of Organic Dyes Under Visible Light显示文摘An in sitt strategy was introduced for synthesizing carbon modified graphitic carbon nitride(g-C3N4)by using urea/4-aminobenzoic acid(PABA)co-crystal(PABA@Urea)as precursor materials.Via co-calcination of the PABA co-former and the urea in PABA@a Urea co-crystals,C guest species were generated and compounded into g-C3Na matrix in situ by replacing the lattice N of the carbon nitride and forming carbon dots onto its layer surface.The carbon modification dramatically enhanced visible-light harvesting and charge carrier separation.Therefore.visible light photo-catalytic oxidation of methylene blue(MB)pollution in water over the carbon modified g-C3Na(C/g-C3Na)was notably improved.Up to 99%of methylene blue(MB)was eliminated within 60 min by the optima sample prepared from the PABA@Urea co-crystal with a PABA content of 0.1%(mass ratio),faster than the degrada-tion rate over bare g-C3N4.The present study demonstrates a new way to boost up the photocatalysis performance of g-C3Na,which holds great potential concerning the degradation of organic dyes from water.ZHAO Weifeng HAO Ning ZHANG Gai MA Aijie CHEN Weixing ZHOU Hongwei YANG Dong XU Ben Bin KONG Jie 2020Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2020,36,6:1
4Heating Lithium-Ion Batteries at Low Temperatures for Onboard Applications:Recent Progress,Challenges and Prospects显示文摘Lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)are commonly used in electric vehicles(EVs)due to their good performance,long lifecycle,and environmentally friendly merits.Heating LIBs at low temperatures before operation is vitally important to protect the battery from serious capacity degradation and safety hazards.This paper reviews recent progress on heating methods that can be used onboard.The existing methods are divided into two categories,namely external heating methods and internal heating methods,mechanisms,advantages and limitations of each method are systematically reviewed.Then,the rates of temperature rise,energy consumptions,and maximum temperature gradient of different methods are quantitatively summa-rized to compare the heating performances of each method.In addition,features related to the onboard application of each method are qualitatively compared,which is essential for the rapid cold start of EVs in frigid weather.Finally,prospects of external and internal heating methods are given.This paper aims to provide researchers and engineers with guidelines about how to select a method based on their requirements and application environments.Cheng Lin Weifeng Kong Yu Tian Wenwei Wang Mingjie Zhao 2022Automotive Innovation2022,5,1:1
5The Features and Causes of Spatial Planning Conflicts in China:Taking Urban Planning and Land-Use Planning as Examples显示文摘The conflicts in spatial planning are the main reason that restricts the sustainable development of land use in China, and it is also the main barrier to the building of “Territorial Spatial Planning System”. This study analyzes the conflicts between urban planning and land-use planning from the three dimensions of construction land, basic farmland and ecological land based on a land-use transition matrix with the central urban area of Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province as a case region, and analyzes the causes of spatial planning conflicts from the perspectives of the central and local governments in terms of their preferences and interactive relationships. The main conclusions of this paper are as follows.(1) Urban planning and land-use planning have comprehensive conflicts with each other in terms of the construction land, basic farmland and ecological land, i.e. the scale of construction land in urban planning is 154% of that in land-use planning, and the scale of basic farmland in urban planning is 88.56% of that in land-use planning.(2) Central and local governments are the two main stakeholders of spatial planning,and they have different preferences for the utilization of spatial resources at prefecture-level cities.The central government is concerned about food security, and therefore, pays more attention to the protection of cultivated land, while the local governments focus on economic benefits and the ecological environment, and therefore, pay more attention to construction and ecological lands.(3) The urban planning system is a bottom-up design system, which determines that urban planning mainly reflects the preferences of local governments, while the land-use planning system is a top-down design system, which determines that land-use planning mainly reflects the central government’s preferences. 6Upregulation of DRG protein TMEM100 facilitates dry skin-induced pruritus by enhancing TRPA1 channel function显示文摘The dry skin tortures numerous patients with severe itch.The transient receptor potential cation channel V member 1(TRPV1)and A member 1(TRPA1)are two essential receptors for peripheral neural coding of itch sensory,mediating histaminergic and nonhistaminergic itch separately.In the dorsal root ganglion,transmembrane protein 100(TMEM100)is structurally related to both TRPV1 and TRPA1 receptors,but the exact role of TMEM100 in itch sensory coding is still unknown.Here,in this study,we find that TMEM100+DRG neurons account for the majority of activated neurons in an acetone-ether-water(AEW)-induced dry skin itch model,and some TMEM100+DRG neurons are colocalized with both TRPA1 and the chloroquine-related Mrgpr itch receptor family.Both the expression and function of TRPA1 channels,but not TRPV1 channels,are upregulated in the AEW model,and specific DRGTmem100 gene knockdown alleviates AEW-induced itch and rescues the expression and functional changes of TRPA1.Our results strongly suggest that TMEM100 protein in DRG is the main facilitating factor for dry skin-related chronic itch,and specific suppression of TMEM100 in DRG could be a novel effective treatment strategy for patients who suffer from dry skin-induced itch.Chao Pan Yingfu Jiao Dexu Kong Haoyue Deng Saihong Xu Dan Tang Wen Yin Po Gao Weifeng Yu Yinghui Fan Daxiang Wen 2023Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2023,55,3:0

8Low-threshold and narrow-emission random lasing in a self-assembly TiN nanoparticle-doped carbon quantum dot/DCM nanowire composite显示文摘The random lasing in quantum dot systems is in anticipation for widespread applications in biomedical therapy and image recognition,especially in random laser devices with high brightness and high monochromaticity.Herein,low-threshold,narrowband emission,and stable random lasing is realized in carbon quantum dot(CQD)/DCM nanowire composite-doped TiN nanoparticles,which are fabricated by the mixture of carbon quantum dots and self-assembly DCM dye molecules.The F?rster resonance energy transfer process results in a high luminescence efficiency for the composite of carbon dots and DCM nanowires,allowing significant random lasing actions to emerge in CQD/DCM composite as TiN particles are doped that greatly enhance the emission efficiency through the plasmon resonance and random scattering.Thus,sharp and low-threshold random lasing is finally realized and even strong single-mode lasing occurs under higher pumping energy in the TiN-doped CQD/DCM composite.This work provides a promising way in high monochromaticity random laser applications.JING LYU XINYU ZHANG LEI CAI LI TAO WEIFENG MA AN LI YE TIAN YUNSONG YIN DENAN KONG WEN YI XIANSHUANG WANG RUIBIN LIU 2022Photonics Research2022,10,9:0
9Complete Freund’s adjuvant-induced decrement of pruriceptor-mediated suppression of itch显示文摘Peripheral inflammation is always accompanied by a noxious sensation,either pain or itch,providing a protective warning for the occurrence of pathological changes;however,the mechanisms determining whether pain,itch,or both will be elicited under certain inflammatory statuses are still far from clear.Complete Freund’s adjuvant(CFA)contains heat killed and dried Mycobacterium tuberculosis widely used to induce inflammatory pain models,but how CFA treatment affects itch sensation and the possible mechanisms are still unclear.In this study,using itch behavior testing and calcium imaging,we showed that both the behaviors and calcium responses associated with Transient Receptor Potential Vanilloid 1(TRPV1)-mediated histamine-dependent itch and Transient Receptor Potential Ankyrin 1(TRPA1)-mediated histamine-independent itch were significantly suppressed by CFA treatment.Furthermore,to explore the possible cellular mechanisms,high-throughput single-cell RNA sequencing and real-time PCR were used to detect CFA-induced changes of itch-related genes in dorsal root ganglion(DRG)neurons.Our results revealed that although both nociceptive Trpv1^(+)and Trpa1^(+)DRG neurons were increased after CFA treatment,most known pruriceptors,including Hrh1^(+),Mrgpra3^(+),Mrgprd^(+),Htr3a^(+),Htr1f^(+),IL31ra^(+),Osmr^(+),and Lpar3^(+)DRG neurons,were significantly decreased,which may explain that CFA treatment caused itch suppression.This study indicated that itch sensation was affected after CFA treatment,although negatively,and comprehensive but not specific suppression of different pruriceptors was observed after CFA treatment,suggesting that a unified adaptive change of increased pain and decreased itch will occur simultaneously under CFA-induced inflammatory conditions.Wen Yin Li Liu Yuxi Zhou Yunchun Zhang Dexu Kong Saihong Xu Dan Tang Dan Huang Daxiang Wen Yingfu Jiao Yinghui Fan Po Gao Weifeng Yu 2021Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,5:0
10Controllable Generation of Reactive Oxygen Species on Cyano-Group-Modified Carbon Nitride for Selective Epoxidation of Styrene显示文摘The controlled generation of reactive oxygen species(ROS)to selectively epoxidize styrene is a grand challenge.Herein,cyano-group-modified carbon nitrides(CNCY_(x) and CN-T_(y))are prepared,and the catalysts show better performance in regulating ROS and producing styrene oxide than the cyano-free sample.The in situ diffuse reflectance infrared and density functional theory calculation results reveal that the cyano group acts as the adsorption and activation site of oxygen.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and NMR spectrum results confirm that the cyano group bonds with the intact heptazine ring.This unique structure could inhibit H_(2)O_(2) and,OH formation,resulting in high selectivity of styrene oxide.Furthermore,high catalytic activity is still achieved when the system scales up to 2.7 L with 100 g styrene under solar light irradiation.The strategy of cyano group modification gives a new insight into regulating spatial configuration for tuning the utilization of oxygen-active species and shows potential applications in industry.Hao Tan Peng Kong Riguang Zhang Mengting Gao Meixian Liu Xianmo Gu Weifeng Liu Zhanfeng Zheng 2021The Innovation2021,2,1:0
