| 2 | Partially stabilized tetragonal ZrO_(2) whiskers with preferred [001] direction derived from CaF_(2)显示文摘The simultaneous control of crystal phase stability and one-dimensional growth has always been the major challenge for the preparation of tetragonal zirconia whiskers.In this study,we report a facile molten salt processing that utilizes CaF_(2) as a stabilizer and adsorbent to meet the phase and morphology requirements.The processes of stabilization,phase transition,ion adsorption and formation of special morphology involved in zirconia growth were investigated by XRD,IR,SEM,DTA-TG and TEM.By controlling the amount of CaF_(2)(15 wt%)added in the reaction precursor,tetragonal zirconia whiskers with a desired aspect ratio(>16)can be synthesized,which show single crystalline nature and[001]preferred direction.Ca ions doped at low temperature inhibit the occurrence of phase transition,which allows the tetragonal structure to be retained to room temperature.The inducement and pattern of whisker growth are supposed to be F-adsorption and screw dislocation elongation,respectively.The specific selectivity of surface adsorbed ions to certain zirconia crystal planes reduces or even inhibits the epitaxial growth rate in this direction,offering a viable avenue for the morphology modulation of inorganic nanomaterials. | Xuefeng Liu Quan Zhang Jianmin Liu Tao Wang Yanqiao Xu Jian Liang Feng Jiang Guo Feng Weihui Jiang | 2021 | Journal of Materiomics2021,7,4: | 0 |

| 4 | Numerical simulation and experimental study of gas cyclone–liquid jet separator for fine particle separation显示文摘To address the shortcomings of existing particulate matter trapping technology,especially the low separation efficiency of fine particles,herein,a novel gas cyclone-liquid jet separator was developed to research fine particle trapping.First,numerical simulation methods were used to investigate the flow field characteristics and dust removal efficiency of the separator under different working conditions,and to determined suitable experimental conditions for subsequent dust removal experiments.Afterward,the separation efficiency of the separator against five kinds of common particles,including g-C_(3)N_(4),TiO_(2),SiC,talc,and SiO_(2),was experimentally studied.A maximum separation efficiency of 99.48%was achieved for particles larger than 13.1μm,and 96.55%efficiency was achieved for particles larger than 2μm.The best crushing atomization effect was achieved for the separator when uGwas 10 m·s^(-1)and uLwas 3 m·s^(-1),while the best separation effect was achieved when uGwas 10 m·s^(-1)and uLwas 3.75 m·s^(-1).Studies have shown that the gas cyclone-liquid jet separator has excellent applicability in the separation of fine particles. | Liwang Wang Erwen Chen Liang Ma Zhanghuang Yang Zongzhe Li Weihui Yang Hualin Wang Yulong Chang | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,,11: | 0 |

| 6 | A preliminary study on volatile organic compounds and odor in university dormitories:Situation,contribution,and correlation显示文摘Many dormitories have a high population density,and occupants exposed to volatile organic compounds(VOCs)could suffer severe physical and mental issues,so it is important to ensure good indoor air quality(IAQ).Currently,indoor VOC analysis using only chemical concentration cannot accurately reflect the effect of odor on human comfort.Therefore,the sensory evaluation of indoor odor acts as a supplementary method for an IAQ assessment.Here,we measured indoor VOC concentrations in 10 dormitories under occupied and unoccupied conditions.The contribution of building materials and human-related emissions was analyzed.An odor activity value(OAV)was calculated using the VOC concentration and odorant threshold.In addition,recruited sensory odor panel members assessed the odor intensity of each dormitory and the correlation between odor intensity and chemical measurements was analyzed.The indoor total VOC(TVOC)concentration under occupied conditions ranged from 242.2 to 1063.1μg/m^(3),with a mean value of 454.1μg/m^(3).The TVOC concentration under unoccupied conditions varied from 97.2 to 1055.2μg/m^(3),with a mean value of 342.2μg/m^(3).The TVOC concentration of 90% of the dormitories under the two conditions met the national IAQ standards.An average of 53.6% indoor TVOC emissions are related to building materials,the outdoor-related TVOC concentration accounts for 15.7%,and the average human-related TVOC emissions are 1519.4μg/(h·person),which accounts for 30.7%.Compared to TVOC concentration,odor intensity-OAV(OAV_(sum),OAV_(max))could better characterize subjective and objective correlations.However,the goodness-of-fit is not satisfactory.Weber–Fencher's law has limitations in characterizing the correlation between odor intensity and OAV when applied to the indoor air mixture,based on this small-scale study. | Yibing Hu Ling Xu Weihui Liang | 2023 | Building Simulation2023,16,3: | 0 |
