| 1 | Impact of gas pressure on particle feature in Fe-based amorphous alloy powders via gas atomization:Simulation and experiment显示文摘Gas atomization is now an important production technique for Fe-based amorphous alloy powders used in additive manufacturing,particularly selective laser melting,fabricating large-sized Fe-based bulk metallic glasses.Using the realizable k-εmodel and discrete phase model theory,the flow dynamics of the gas phase and gas-melt two-phase flow felds in the close-wake condition were investigated to establish the correlation between high gas pressure and powder particle characteristics.The locations of the recirculation zones and the shapes of Mach disks were analyzed in detail for the type of discrete-jet closed-coupled gas atomization nozzle.In the gas-phase flow feld,the vortexes,closed to the Mach disk,are found to be a new deceleration method.In the two-phase flow feld,the shape of Mach disk changes from“S”-shape to“Z”-shape under the impact of the droplet flow.As predicted by the wave model,with the elevation of gas pressure,the size of the particle is found to gradually decrease and its distribution becomes more concentrated.Simulation results were compliant with the Fe-based amorphous alloy powder preparation tests.This study deepens the understanding of the gas pressure impacting particle features via gas atomization,and contributes to technological applications. | Yutong Shi Weiyan Lu Wenhai Sun Suode Zhang Baijun Yang Jianqiang Wang | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,10: | 4 |

| 3 | Mixing of Enriched Lithospheric Mantle-Derived and Crustal Magmas: Evidence from the Habo Cenozoic Porphyry in Western Yunnan显示文摘New zircon U–Pb ages, whole-rock geochemistry and zircon Hf isotopes from the Habo porphyry Western Yunnan, China, were determined to provide constraints on the timing of uplift of the Eastern Tibetan Plateau. The intrusive rocks consist of shoshonitic porphyry(syenite porphyry and monzonite porphyry). Zircon laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(LA-ICPMS) U–Pb dating indicates coeval emplacement ages of ~35 Ma. The porphyries have alkaline affinities, enrichment in large ion lithophile elements(LILEs) and light rare earth elements(LREEs)(e.g., Rb, Th, U, Pb), with depletion of high field strength elements(HFSEs)(e.g., Nb, Ti, Ta) and weak Eu anomalies. They display uniform Lu–Hf isotopic compositions with negative zircon εHf(t) values ranging from-3.9 to-0.6. The chemical characteristics of the syenite porphyries indicated that they most likely originated from the lower crust, with mantle-derived material involved in their generation. Geochemically, the monzonite porphyries are similar to the syenite porphyries; however, the lower MgO contents suggest that they were produced by different degrees of partial melting of the same lower crust source. | 4 | The effect of pore size and porosity of Ti6Al4V scaffolds on MC3T3-E1 cells and tissue in rabbits显示文摘Electron beam melting(EBM) allows the fabrication of specific porous titanium implants, whereas their in vitro and in vivo biological performance should be further investigated. In this study, we examined the porous Ti6 Al4 V scaffolds(low, 334.1 μm pore size with 55.4% porosity;middle, 383.2 μm pore size with 65.2% porosity;and high, 401.6 μm pore size with 78.1%porosity) fabricated through EBM. The structural characterization and mechanical properties of porous Ti6 Al4 V scaffolds were measured through micro-computed tomography(micro-CT), scanning electron microscopy, and a material testing system.MC3 T3-E1 cells were used to assess the proliferation and differentiation of the cells on different scaffolds at day 7 and day 14 based on the expression levels of genes, including alkaline phosphatase, bone morphogenetic protein-2, osteopontin and runtrelated transcription factor-2. Rabbits with distal femoral defects were utilized to evaluate bone ingrowth in the porous titanium.All of the samples were subjected to micro-CT and histological analysis after 12 weeks. Results showed that compressive Young’s modulus of 0.3–1.1 GPa was similar to the trabecular bone. The three types of porous Ti6 Al4 V scaffolds were inclined to promote cell proliferation, whereas cell differentiation and bone ingrowth into the porous scaffolds were biased to the porous titanium with relatively large pores and porosity(middle and high). | 7 | Improvement of in situ LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating method for carbonate minerals and its application in petroleum geology显示文摘In situ carbonate U-Pb dating is gaining popularity,and it has great potential for application in petroleum geology.However,the low U content(<10μg/g)and high common Pb content of carbonate minerals,along with the uneven distribution of U and Pb and the lack of matrix-matched reference material make carbonate U-Pb dating inaccurate and less successful,which limits the widespread application in geosciences.This study evaluated the limitations of in situ carbonate U-Pb dating and proposed a method to rationally determine the laser ablation parameters of samples by improving the experimental approach based on the laser ablation sector field inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(LA-SF-ICP-MS).By setting a different spot size and laser frequency for the reference material and unknown samples in the same session based on the U content of the sample,the ablation craters of the reference material and unknown samples were given the same depth/width ratio,avoiding systematic offset caused by differences in down-hole element fractionation and reducing the consume of reference material.Depending on the heterogeneous distribution of U and Pb contents in carbonate minerals,the method of grid screening and setting ablation spots during screening were used to quickly select domains with high U and low common Pb,which improves the efficiency of setting laser spots and the success rate of dating,as well as reduces the experimental time and economic cost.The accuracy and success rate of carbonate U-Pb dating were effectively improved by improving the experimental method,and the technique was applied to two carbonate samples with low U and high common Pb contents that were difficult to date by traditional methods.The two samples are the saddle dolomite in the central Sichuan Basin and the calcite cement in the sandstone reservoir of the Cretaceous Qingshuihe Formation in the South Junggar Basin.The robust ages have been obtained,which constrains the timing of the diagenetic and hydrocarbon accumulation process in the studied area. | Xuesong Lu Lili GUI Weiyan CHEN Shaobo LIU Shitou WU Junjia FAN Qiang LIU Jing SUN Liangliang ZHANG Yang XIAO Wenxia YANG Rizhou CAO | 2023 | Science China Earth Sciences2023,66,12: | 1 |

| 10 | Restoration of reservoir diagenesis and hydrocarbon accumulation process by calcite in-situ U-Pb dating and fluid inclusion analysis: A case study on Cretaceous Qingshuihe Formation in Gaoquan Structure, southern Junggar Basin, NW China显示文摘The complexity of diagenesis and hydrocarbon accumulation in the deep reservoirs in southern Junggar Basin restricts hydrocarbon exploration in the lower reservoir assemblage. The lithofacies and diagenesis of reservoirs in the Cretaceous Qingshuihe Formation in the Gaoquan structure of the Sikeshu Sag, southern Junggar Basin were analyzed. On this basis, the thermal history was calibrated using calcite in-situ U-Pb dating and fluid inclusion analysis to depict the hydrocarbon accumulation process in the Gaoquan structure. The results show that the Qingshuihe reservoir experienced two phases of calcite cementation and three phases of hydrocarbon charging. The calcite cements are dated to be (122.1±6.4) Ma, (14.4±1.0) Ma - (14.2±0.3) Ma. The hydrocarbon charging events occurred at around 14.2-30.0 Ma (low-mature oil), 14.2 Ma (mature oil), and 2 Ma (high-mature gas). The latter two phases of hydrocarbon charging contributed dominantly to the formation of reservoir. Due to the S-N compressive thrust activity during the late Himalayan period since 2 Ma, the traps in the Gaoquan structure were reshaped, especially the effective traps which developed in the main reservoir-forming period were decreased significantly in scale, resulting in weak hydrocarbon shows in the middle-lower part of the structure. This indicates that the effective traps in key reservoir-forming period controlled hydrocarbon enrichment and distribution in the lower reservoir assemblage.
