5Assessing the benthic habitat quality in the Huanghe(Yellow River) Estuary and its adjacent areas using AMBI and M-AMBI显示文摘The protection of the biological diversity and the maintenance of the regional ecological integrity for the Huanghe(Yellow River) Estuary and its adjacent areas are practically significant and valuable. However, frequent human activities and natural climate changes have caused vigorous disturbances on the ecosystem in these sea areas. An objective assessment on the benthic habitat quality(BHQ) of the Huanghe Estuary and its adjacent areas is conducted, using AZTI's Marine Biotic Index(AMBI) and multivariate AMBI(M-AMBI) based on the data of macrobenthos in May and August 2011. The results show that both the indices do not correlate significantly, and their assessment results are greatly different. All of the samples assessed using the AMBI were 'high' or 'good', because the ecological group I(EGI) and the ecological group II(EGII) were dominant macrobenthic ecological groups in the research area. Owing to a low species' richness and a high individual abundance in some samples, the BHQ levels using the M-AMBI were worse than those of the AMBI. Significant correlations are observed between the M-AMBI, water depth, bottom water salinity and dissolved inorganic nitrogen, thus the M-AMBI could sensitively respond to environmental changes and distinguish influences from uninfluenced stations, but the AMBI could not. The consistent results between the AMBI and the M-AMBI mainly appeared in the uninfluenced(undisturbed or slightly disturbed) stations. Therefore, the M-AMBI is more effective than the AMBI in assessing the benthic habitat quality in the Huanghe Estuary and its adjacent areas. Using the M-AMBI to assess the BHQ of the Huanghe Estuary and its adjacent areas, the results show that 3% of the stations are undisturbed and the BHQs are 'high', and 61% of the stations are slightly disturbed and those of the BHQ are 'good', and the rest are meanly disturbed and those of the BHQ are 'moderate'.LUO Xianxiang ZHANG Juan YANG Jianqiang SONG Wenpeng CUI Wenlin 2014Acta Oceanologica Sinica2014,33,9:6
6A comparison of the applicability of the Shannon-Wiener index,AMBI and M-AMBI indices for assessing benthic habitat health in the Huanghe(Yellow River) Estuary and adjacent areas显示文摘From a dataset of macrobenthos obtained from 18 cruises from 2004 to 2013 in the Huanghe(Yellow River)Estuary and its adjacent areas,the composition and characteristics of macrobenthos were analyzed,and the applicability of the Shannon-Wiener Index(H′),AZTI's Marine Biotic Index(AMBI) and multivariate AMBI(MAMBI) for assessing benthic habitat quality was compared.The results showed a total of 203 macrobenthos in the study area.The macrobenthos were dominated by polychaetes,followed by mollusks and crustaceans.The macrobenthic ecological groups were dominated by EGI,EGII and EGIII,which respectively accounted for 31.5%,36.0% and 21.2% of the total.There were significant differences between the evaluation results of the three indices.The ecological quality status(EQS) levels given by the AMBI were greater than those given by the H′ and M-AMBI.The AMBI could not reflect the differences between 11 sites but the H′ and M-AMBI could do.Moreover,the three indices responded well to the variations in salinity(S) and dissolved oxygen(DO) in the waters.The H′ and MAMBI also responded sensitively to the differences in physical parameters,such as water depth and sediment texture.The correlation between M-AMBI and environmental pressure gradient data was the strongest.The MAMBI could effectively distinguish degraded conditions from undegraded but the H′ and AMBI could not.Therefore,the M-AMBI reflected benthic habitat health well in the study areas.However,the objectivity of evaluation results of M-AMBI needs further verification by physical,chemical and biological methods.The thresholds also need further discussion.LUO Xianxiang SUN Kaijing YANG Jianqiang SONG Wenpeng CUI Wenlin 2016Acta Oceanologica Sinica2016,35,6:5

8Alterations in gut microbiota and metabolites associated with altitude-induced cardiac hypertrophy in rats during hypobaric hypoxia challenge显示文摘The gut microbiota is involved in host responses to high altitude.However,the dynamics of intestinal microecology and their association with altitude-related illness are poorly understood.Here,we used a rat model of hypobaric hypoxia challenge to mimic plateau exposure and monitored the gut microbiome,short-chain fatty acids(SCFAs),and bile acids(BAs)over 28 d.We identified weight loss,polycythemia,and pathological cardiac hypertrophy in hypoxic rats,accompanied by a large compositional shift in the gut microbiota,which is mainly driven by the bacterial families of Prevotellaceae,Porphyromonadaceae,and Streptococcaceae.The aberrant gut microbiota was characterized by increased abundance of the Parabacteroides,Alistipes,and Lactococcus genera and a larger Bacteroides to Prevotella ratio.Trans-omics analyses showed that the gut microbiome was significantly correlated with the metabolic abnormalities of SCFAs and BAs in feces,suggesting an interaction network remodeling of the microbiome-metabolome after the hypobaric hypoxia challenge.Interestingly,the transplantation of fecal microbiota significantly increased the diversity of the gut microbiota,partially inhibited the increased abundance of the Bacteroides and Alistipes genera,restored the decrease of plasma propionate,and moderately ameliorated cardiac hypertrophy in hypoxic rats.Our results provide an insight into the longitudinal changes in intestinal microecology during the hypobaric hypoxia challenge.Abnormalities in the gut microbiota and microbial metabolites contribute to the development of high-altitude heart disease in rats.Zhiyuan Pan Yichen Hu Zongyu Huang Ni Han Yan Li Xiaomei Zhuang Jiye Yin Hui Peng Quansheng Gao Wenpeng Zhang Yong Huang Yujun Cui Yujing Bi Zhenjiang Zech Xu Ruifu Yang 2022Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,10:5
9Microstructure and mechanical properties of WMoTaNbTi refractory high-entropy alloys fabricated by selective electron beam melting显示文摘WMoTaNbTi RHEAs formed by SEBM with negative defocus distance were investigated.Four scanning speeds were applied,an electron beam with scanning speed at 2.5 m/s completely fused the premixed WMoTaNb alloyed powder and pure Ti powder.Significant vaporization of Nb and Ti elements happened during the formation of WMoTaNbTi RHEAs,however,the single BCC phase remains stable.Weakened solid-solute strengthening caused by elemental vaporization,dropping percentage of Nb and Ti solutes in the matrix as well as improved ductilizing effects with decreasing scanning speeds leads to falling microhardness and better local ductility.Microhardness of scanning speed at 4.0 m/s,3.5 m/s,3.0 m/s and 2.5 m/s is 578±17 HV,576±12 HV,573±10 HV and 511±2 HV,respectively.The as-deposited WMoTaNbTi RHEA formed at a scanning speed of 2.5 m/s displays ultimate strength of 1312 MPa.Bang Xiao Wenpeng Jia Huiping Tang Jian Wang Lian Zhou 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,13:4
10A review of whole-process control of industrial volatile organic compounds in China显示文摘Volatile organic compounds(VOCs)play an important role in the formation of ground-level ozone and secondary organic aerosol(SOA),and they have been key issues in current air pollution prevention and control in China.Considerable attention has been paid to industrial activities due to their large and relatively complex VOCs emissions.The present research aims to provide a comprehensive review on whole-process control of industrial VOCs,which mainly includes source reduction,collection enhancement and end-pipe treatments.Lower VOCs materials including water-borne ones are the keys to source substitution in industries related to coating and solvent usage,leak detection and repair(LDAR)should be regarded as an efficient means of source reduction in refining,petrochemical and other chemical industries.Several types of VOCs collection methods such as gas-collecting hoods,airtight partitions and others are discussed,and airtight collection at negative pressure yields the best collection efficiency.Current end-pipe treatments like UV oxidation,low-temperature plasma,activated carbon adsorption,combustion,biodegradation,and adsorption-combustion are discussed in detail.Finally,several recommendations are made for future advanced treatment and policy development in industrial VOCs emission control.Hailin Wang Shumei Sun Lei Nie Zhongshen Zhang Wenpeng Li Zhengping Hao 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,1:4
11Efficient lung cancer-targeted drug delivery via a nanoparticle/MSC system显示文摘Low targeting efficiency limits the applications of nanoparticles in cancer therapy. The fact that mesenchymal stem cells(MSC) trapped in the lung after systemic infusion is a disadvantage for cell therapy purposes. Here, we utilized MSC as lung cancer-targeted drug delivery vehicles by loading nanoparticles(NP)with anti-cancer drug. MSC showed a higher drug intake capacity than fibroblasts. In addition, MSC showed predominant lung trapping in both rabbit and monkey. IR-780 dye, a fluorescent probe used to represent docetaxel(DTX) in NP, delivered via MSC accumulated in the lung. Both in vitro MSC/A549 cell experiments and in vivo MSC/lung cancer experiments validated the intercellular transportation of NP between MSC and cancer cells. In vivo assays showed that the MSC/NP/DTX drug delivery system exerted primary tumor inhibition efficiency similar to that of a NP/DTX drug system. 12Microstructure and magnetic properties of(SmCo+FeCo)/NdFeB multicomponent nanocomposite magnets fabricated by HPTC with change in heating temperature and composition显示文摘We report the fabrication of bulk anisotropic(SmCo+FeCo)/NdFeB multicomponent nanocomposite magnets using high-pressure thermal compression(HPTC).The correlations among microstructure,magnetic properties,heating temperature and composition of the HPTC nanocomposite magnets were studied.The HPTC magnet made under variable temperatures(VT),with 19 wt% of FeCo phase,exhibits a maximum energy product of 32 MGOe,which is much higher than that(14 MGOe) for the HPTC magnet made under a constant temperature(CT).When the FeCo content increases to^23 wt%,the HPTC magnet made under VT still remains a high energy product of about 25 MGOe.With increasing NdFeB content,the(SmCo+FeCo)/NdFeB multicomponent nanocomposite magnets exhibit an enhanced magnetic anisotropy and coercivity.This work is beneficial to fabricating high-performance and low-cost permanent magnets for practical applications.Guangwei Huang Li Lou Wenpeng Song Ming Li Fuchen Hou Xiaohong Li 2020Journal of Rare Earths2020,38,7:4
13Simultaneous determination of three curcuminoids in Curcuma longa L.by high performance liquid chromatography coupled with electrochemical detection显示文摘A novel method for analysis of three active components curcumin,demethoxycurcumin and bisdemethoxycurcumin in Curcuma longa L.was developed by HPLC coupled with electrochemical detection.Three curcuminoids were well separated on a C_(18) column and detected with high sensitivity.A mobile phase containing acetonilrile and 10 mM Na_2HPO_4-H_3PO_4(pH 5.0)(50:50.v/v) was used.Good linearity was obtained in the range of 0.208-41.6,0.197-39.4,and 0.227-114 μM for curcumin.demethoxycurcumin and bisdemethoxycurcumin respectively.The limit of detection reached up to 10^(-8) M.which was lower than that by UV detection.The relative standard deviations(RSDs) ranged from 1.06% to 1.88% for intra-day precision and from 4.30% to 5.79% for inter-day precision,respectively.The proposed method has been applied in real herb sample and recoveries ranging from 86.3% to 111% were obtained.Yuling Long Wenpeng Zhang Fang Wang Zilin Chen 2014Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2014,4,5:4
14Color-tunable ultralong organic phosphorescence materials for visual UV-light detection显示文摘Ultralong organic phosphorescence(UOP)materials have roused considerable attention in the field of photonics and optoelectronics owing to the feature of long-lived emission lifetimes.However,to develop UOP materials with color-tunability is still a formidable challenge.Here,we report a class of UOP materials containing carbonyl,amino or amide groups,exhibiting colortunable persistent luminescence ranging from blue(458 nm)to yellow-green(508 nm)under different UV wavelength excitation.Taken theoretical and experimental results together,we conclude that the excitation dependent color-tunable UOP emission is ascribed to multiple emission centers from single molecular and aggregated states in crystal.Given color-tunable UOP feature,these materials are used to successfully realize visual UV-light detection.This finding not only provides a strategy to design new organic phosphorescent molecules with colorful emission,but also extends the scope of the applications of purely organic phosphorescent materials.Lifang Bian Huili Ma Wenpeng Ye Anqi Lv He Wang Wenyong Jia Long Gu Huifang Shi Zhongfu An Wei Huang 2020Science China Chemistry2020,63,10:3
15The effect of operating conditions on acylation of 2-methylnaphthalene in a microchannel reactor显示文摘Acylation of 2-methylnaphthalene(2-MN) is a very important reaction in organic synthesis,and the effiency of the continuous reactor is more than one of the batch reactor.Considering that the Friedel–Crafts acylation is a rapid exothermic reaction,in this study,we perform the acylation of 2-MN in a stainless steel microchannel flow reactor,which is characterized by high mass and heat transfer rates.The effect of reactant ratio,mixing temperature,reaction temperature,and reaction time on product yield and selectivity were investigated.Under the optimal conditions,2-methyl-6-propionylnaphthalene(2,6-MPN) was obtained in 85.8% yield with 87.5% selectivity.Compared with the conventional batch system,the continuous flow microchannel reactor provides a more efficient method for the synthesis of 2,6-MPN.Wenpeng Li Suohe Yang Xiaoyan Guo Guangxiang He Haibo Jin 2018Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2018,26,6:3

18Flexible liquid metal coil prepared for electromagnetic energy harvesting and wireless charging显示文摘This paper reported a study on a flexible liquid metal coil (LMC) for electromagnetic collection from the transmission line for self-powered sensor and electromagnetic generation for wireless charging of cellular telephone. The room temperature liquid metal of Galinstan was perfused to elastic silicone tube, which is then terminated with galliumplated copper wire. The asprepared liquid metal wire can sustain stretching, twisting, and bending with large deformation, and has a good electrical contact stability with the external circuit. The LMC based magnetic energy harvester was then designed and demonstrated to collect the magnetic field energy induced by a wire carrying alternating current. The power of 260 mW was obtained for the wire carrying current of 10 A. The flexible toroidal inductor was fabricated and tested for magnetic energy harvesting. The flexible spiralshaped LMC was also designed and demonstrated to power cellular telephone through wireless charging. 19Effects of rotor and stator geometry on dissolution process and power consumption in jet-flow high shear mixers显示文摘The jet-flow high shear mixer(JF-HSM)is a new type of intensified equipment with special configurations of the rotor and the stator.The mass transfer property and power consumption were studied in the solid-liquid system for a series of JF-HSMs involving different configuration parameters,such as rotor diameter,rotor blade inclination,rotor blade bending direction,stator diameter,and stator bottom opening diameter.The flow characteristics were examined by computational fluid dynamic simulations.Results indicate that the turbulent power consumption of the JF-HSM is affected by the change in rotor blade inclination and stator bottom opening.With the increase in the shear head size and the change in the rotor into a backward-curved blade,the solid-liquid mass transfer rate can be remarkably increased under the same input power.Dimensionless correlations for the mass transfer coefficient and power consumption were obtained to guide the scale-up design and selection of such a new type of equipment to intensify the overall mixing efficiency.Lin Yang Wenpeng Li Junheng Guo Wei Li Baoguo Wang Minqing Zhang Jinli Zhang 2021Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2021,15,2:2
20Promotional effect of Cu additive for the selective catalytic oxidation of n-butylamine over CeZrO_(x)catalyst显示文摘The catalytic elimination of nitrogen-containing volatile organic compounds(NVOCs)still encounters bottlenecks in NO_(x)formation and low N_(2)selectivity.Here,a series of Cu-promoted Ce-Zr mixed oxide catalysts were synthesized using a simple precipitation approach,and n-butylamine was adopted as the probe pollutant to evaluate their catalytic performance.The Ce Cu_(10%)ZrO_(x)catalyst exhibited the best catalytic activity,with 100%n-butylamine conversion and 90%N_(2)selectivity at 250℃.Concurrently,this sample also displayed good water resistance.A detailed characterization of the catalyst was performed through a series of experimental studies and theoretical calculations.The addition of Cu increased the redox property and promoted the production of oxygen vacancies,all of which were favorable for the greatest nbutylamine selective catalytic oxidation performance.The changes of oxygen vacancies over Ce Cu_(10%)ZrO_(x)in reaction process were studied by in situ Raman spectra.Moreover,in situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectra(DRIFTs)and theoretical calculations were employed to explore the reaction mechanism of n-butylamine selective oxidation.The high activity and selectivity of this catalyst confirm the practical feasibility of the selective oxidation of n-butylamine to CO_(2)and N_(2),and the exploration of the reaction mechanism provides new insights into the further design of catalysts.Xin Xing Ting Zhao Jie Cheng Xiaoxiao Duan Wenpeng Li Ganggang Li Zhongshen Zhang Zhengping Hao 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,6:2
