| 1 | Flame-Retarding Epoxy Resin Films by Curing with Organophosphorus Containing Diamine显示文摘An organophosphorus-based diamine has been synthesized and used as a curing and flame retarding bifunctional agent for epoxy resins.This phosphorodiamidate functions not only as a crosslinking materials in the Epon 828 epoxy resin curing process but also as a fire retarding compound to produce thin films or composites upon curing.This phosphorus-containing reactive amine was synthesized via condensation of phenyphosphonic dichloride with ethylenediamine in the presence of sodium methoxide.The product was then purified and later characterized by NMR and FTIR spectroscopy as well as MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry.Kinetics studies of the curing reaction of the phosphorodiamidate were carried out in comparison with the non-phosphorus containing ethylenediamine reference crosslinking agent.Thermal stability of the cured epoxy ware investigated by thermogravimetric analysis(TGA)and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC).Moreover,flame retardant properties of the obtained materials was investigated by limiting oxygen index(LOI)measurements as well as the UL-40 method.The obtained results show that epoxy resin cured with phosphorodiamidate possesses higher thermostability compared to the epoxy cured with the regular ethylenediamine counterpart.This is evident by higher amount of char formed upon burning.More importantly,the LOI value of 27 was observed in the phosphorodiamidate-cured epoxy resin compared with LOI of 20 of the epoxy resin cured with ethylenediamine where no phosphorus was present.The UL-94 highest rating of V-0 materials was obtained with only about 2-3 wt%of the phosphorus element.The chemistry,curing kinetics,and thermal properties of these new epoxy formulations are discussed. | Isara Jirasutsakul Boonchoat Paosawatyanyong Worawan Bhanthumnavin | 2012 | 稀有金属材料与工程2012,41,S1: | 3 |

| 9 | Conductive Poly(3-methylthiophene) Thin Films显示文摘The work described herein represents an efficient method in the deposition of poly(3-methylthiophene),P3MeTh,thin films utilizing a microwave plasma system in combination with a simultaneous doping with iodine.It was envisaged that,an alternative poly(3-methylthiophene),P(3MeTh),with an electron donating methyl substituent,would reduce the degree of ring opening which reportedly occur to a certain extent during the plasma polymerization process of its parent compound polythiophene.An alkyl substituent would also increase the solubility of the materials.P(3MeTh)thin film deposition has been performed utilizing microwave-induced plasma polymerization in order to directly grow films on glass substrates.Moreover,simultaneous doping of the so-formed polymer with iodine has been carried out as opposed to the post-synthesis doping method.This is aimed to prolong electrical conducting lifetime of the materials.The synthesized films were characterized by attenuated total reflection fourier transform infrared(ATR FT-IR)spectroscopy and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDS)to confirm the incorporation of iodine dopant into the films.Scanning electron microscopy showed uniformly deposited films.It has been observed that the electrical conductivity of the doped film is 2 orders of magnitude higher than the undoped counterpart.The doped fabricated films exhibited UV-vis spectra indicative of increased π-conjugation(536 nm).Furthermore,electrical conductivity of the in situ doped P(3MeTh)is more highly sustained over a longer period of time. | Boonchoat Paosawatyanyong Pornchai Luyaphand Ketthip Anuwareephong Worawan Bhanthumnavin | 2012 | 稀有金属材料与工程2012,41,S1: | 0 |
| 10 | Anticancer activity of Δ^(9)-tetrahydrocannabinol and cannabinol in vitro and in human lung cancer xenograft显示文摘Objective:To investigate the effects of Δ^(9)-tetrahydrocannabinol,the principal psychoactive compound of Cannabis sativa,and cannabinol,a Δ^(9)-tetrahydrocannabinol degradative product,on human non-small cell lung cancer cells.Methods:Δ^(9)-Tetrahydrocannabinol and cannabinol were tested for anticancer activity in human non-small cell lung cancer(A549)cells.The effects on cell proliferation,apoptosis,and phosphorylation profiles were examined.The effects of Δ^(9)-tetrahydrocannabinol and cannabinol on tumor growth were also investigated using a xenograft nude mouse model.Apoptosis and targeted phosphorylation were verified by immunohistochemistry.Results:Δ^(9)-Tetrahydrocannabinol and cannabinol significantly inhibited cell proliferation and increased the number of apoptotic cells in a concentration-dependent manner.The Δ^(9)-tetrahydrocannabinol-and cannabinol-treated cells had lower levels of phosphorylated protein kinase B[AKT(S473)],glycogen synthase kinase 3 alpha/beta,and endothelial nitric oxide synthase compared to the controls.The study of xenograft mice revealed that tumors treated with 15 mg/kg Δ^(9)-tetrahydrocannabinol or 40 mg/kg cannabinol were significantly smaller than those of the control mice.The tumor progression rates in mice treated with 15 mg/kg Δ^(9)-tetrahydrocannabinol or 40 mg/kg cannabinol were significantly slower than in the control group.Conclusions:These findings indicate that Δ^(9)-tetrahydrocannabinol and cannabinol inhibit lung cancer cell growth by inhibiting AKT and its signaling pathways,which include glycogen synthase kinase 3 alpha/beta and endothelial nitric oxide synthase. | Surang Leelawat Kawin Leelawat Thaniya Wannakup Worawan Saingam Nanthaphong Khamthong Fameera Madaka Athip Maha Patamaporn Pathompak Lukman Sueree Thanapat Songsak | 2022 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2022,12,8: | 0 |
| 11 | Growth of the Pulmonary Valve Annulus after the Modified Blalock-Taussig Shunt in Patients with Tetralogy of Fallot显示文摘Background:The surgical outcomes of tetralogy of Fallot(TOF)have evolved dramatically and have resulted in lower mortality rate.Currently,the many cardiac centers have a trend to early single-stage complete repair more than a staged repair.However,the patients who have an early primary repair were required transannular patch augmentation of a pulmonary valve frequently.This effect has been developed a chronic pulmonary insufficiency may lead to right ventricular dilation,dysfunction.In this era,the aim of treatment of TOF is attempted to preserve pulmonary valve annulus for prevent right ventricular dysfunction in the future.The systemic to pulmonary artery shunt is a palliative procedure or known as staged repair for symptomatic patients with TOF.The modified Blalock-Taussig shunt(mBTS)is the most useful systemic to pulmonary shunt and perform as an initial procedure before complete repair.The mBTS can provide increase pulmonary blood flow as well as improve oxygenation and also promote pulmonary artery(PA)growth.However,the effect of this procedure to promote growth of a pulmonary valve annulus is still debate.Objectives:To compare a growth of pulmonary valve annulus between after staged repair and primary repair in patients with TOF(without pulmonary atresia).Methods:A retrospective case-control study,review of patients with TOF underwent total repair at our hospitals from January 2005 and December 2017 was performed,a total number of 112 patients underwent TOF repair.Twenty-nine patients(26%)underwent a staged repair(mBTS group)and 83(74%)underwent total repair only or primary repair(PR group).We evaluated diameter of pulmonary valve annulus by using echocardiography at the time of first diagnosis and before complete repair on both groups.Results:The age of diagnosis of mBTS group were younger than PR group(p=0.011).Therefore,pulmonary valve annuls were smaller in mBTS group.(Z-score,−2.93±1.42 vs.−1.89±0.97;p=0.001).However,the growth potential of pulmonary valve annulus was increase more than PR group significantly(Z-score,−1.46±1.02 vs.−2.11±1.19;p=0.009)Even though a patent ductus arteriosus was found commonly in PR group(p=0.018).Conclusions:Our results suggest the systemic to pulmonary shunt or mBTS can promote growth of pulmonary valve annulus in patients with TOF. | Siraphop Thapmongkol Jarun Sayasathid Jessada Methrujpanont Kanthachat Thatsakorn Worawan Jittham Suwanna Puitm Methiniwiran Thapmongkol Jule Namchaisiri | 2021 | Congenital Heart Disease2021,16,5: | 0 |
