1Control Efficacy of 45% Propamocarb·Denamidone SC against Potato Late Blight显示文摘The effects of different doses of 45% propamocarb·fenamidone SC on potato late blight were studied in the paper. The results showed that the overall control effect of 45% propamocarb·fenamidone SC against potato late blight on the 14 th day after the third spraying were 67. 64%- 83. 78%. The yield of potato reached 19 972. 5- 23 302. 5 kg / hm2,with higher marketable tuber rate and lower rotten tuber rate. With the increase in fungicide dose,the difference in control effect against late blight was significant,but the yield-increasing effect on potatoes was not significant. 2Use of recycled gypsum in the cement-based stabilization of very soft clays and its micro-mechanism显示文摘This paper presents an experimental study and micro-mechanism discussion on gypsum role in the mechanical improvements of cement-based stabilized clay(CBSC).A soft marine clay at two initial water contents(i.e.50%and 70%)was treated by reconstituted cementitious binders with varying gypsum to clinker(G/C)ratios and added metakaolin to facilitate the formation of ettringite,followed by the measurements of final water contents,dry densities and strengths in accordance with ASTM standards as well as microstructure by mercury intrusion porosimetry(MIP)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).Results reveal that the gypsum fraction has a significant influence on the index and mechanical properties of the CBSC,and there exists a threshold of the G/C ratio,which is 10%and 15%for clays with 50%and 70%initial water contents,respectively.Beyond which adding excessive gypsum cannot improve the strength further,eliminating the beneficial role.At these thresholds of the G/C ratio,the unconfined compressive strength(UCS)values for clays with 50%and 70%initial water contents are 1.74 MPa and 1.53 MPa at 60 d of curing,respectively.Microstructure characterization shows that,besides the common cementation-induced strengthening,newly formed ettringite also acts as significant pore infills,and the associated remarkable volumetric expansion is responsible,and may be the primary factor,for the beneficial strength gain due to the added gypsum.Moreover,pore-filling ettringite also leads to the conversion of relatively large inter-aggregate to smaller intra-aggregate pores,thereby causing a more homogeneous matrix or solid skeleton with higher strength.Overall,added gypsum plays a vital beneficial role in the strength development of the CBSC,especially for very soft clays.Jun Wu Li Liu Yongfeng Deng Guoping Zhang Annan Zhou Henglin Xiao 2022Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2022,14,3:1

4Strength and Microstructure of Mortar Containing Glass Powder and/or Glass Aggregate显示文摘The compressive strength of mortar containing glass powder(GP) and/or glass aggregate(GA) was tested, and its microstructure was also studied by thermogravimetric and differential thermal analysis(TG-DTA), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopic analysis(EDX), and X-ray diffraction(XRD) techniques. The incorporation of GA would decrease the compressive strength of the mortar in the absence of GP. Incorporating both GA and GP could change the hydration environment, promote pozzolanic reaction of GP and improve the compressive strength. GP does not lead to but can effectively control ASR(Alkali Silica Reaction). GP and GA do not transform the type of hydrates, but have a great influence on the amounts of hydration products, and generate more calcium silicate hydrate(C-S-H gel) with lower Ca/Si ratio. 6Assessment of the Mechanical Properties of Carbon-Fiber Heating Cables in Snow and Ice Melting Applications显示文摘The use of carbon-fiber heating cables(CFHC)to achieve effective melting of snow and ice deposited on roads is a method used worldwide.In this study,tensile and compressive tests have been conducted to analyze the mechan-ical properties of the CFHC and assess whether the maximum tensile and compressive strengths can meet the pavement design specifications.In order to study the aging produced by multiple cycles of heating and cooling,in particular,the CFHC was repeatedly heated in a cold chamber with an ambient temperature ranging between-20℃ and+40℃.Moreover,to evaluate how the strength of the pavement is affected by its presence,the CFHC was embedded at different depths and concrete blocks with different curing ages were subjected to relevant com-pression and splitting tensile tests.Numerical simulations based on the ANSYS software have also been performed and compared with the outcomes of the static loading tests.The results show that the CFHC embedded in the concrete does not affect the compressive splitting tensile strengths of the pavement.Overall,the CFHC meets the conditions required for continued use in road ice melting applications.Zhiyong Yang Jiacheng Zhang Henglin Xiao Zhi Chen Tian Bao Yin Liu 2023Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing2023,19,9:0
