1Reduced-rank space-time adaptive detection for airborne radar显示文摘For airborne radar,there are usually insufficient independent and identically distributed(IID)training data because of geometric considerations and terrain variations.The rank reduction technique is one of the most effective approaches to circumvent this problem.In this study,we investigate four reduced-rank spacetime adaptive detectors for airborne radar,namely,the reduced-rank sample-matrix-inversion(RR-SMI),the reduced-rank adaptive matched filter(RR-AMF),the reduced-rank adaptive coherence estimator(RR-ACE),and the reduced-rank generalized likelihood ratio test(RR-GLRT).Their asymptotic analytical probabilities of detection(PD’s)and false alarm(PFA’s)are all derived.These detectors all asymptotically attain a constant false alarm rate(CFAR).It is shown that these four reduced-rank detectors exhibit detection performance which is better than or comparable to that of two existing reduced-rank detectors,proposed by Reed and Gau(RG1and RG2).Moreover,these four reduced-rank detectors are more robust to change in power of clutter and noise than RG1 and RG2.WANG YongLiang LIU WeiJian XIE WenChong ZHAO YingJun 2014Science China(Information Sciences)2014,57,8:7
2Experimental definition and its significance on the minimum safe distance of blown sand between the proposed Qinghai-Tibet Expressway and the existing Qinghai-Tibet Railway显示文摘The Qinghai-Tibet Expressway is a major strategic project planned by China that will be built along the Qinghai-Tibet Engineering Corridor. At present,important traffic line projects,such as the Qinghai-Tibet Railway,have been built within this narrow corridor,particularly at the blown sand sections. How to ensure that the wind speed and its flow field between the new expressway and existing railway subgrades are not affected by each other is a priority to prevent breaking the dynamic balance of the blown sand movement of the existing subgrade,thereby avoiding aggravating or inducing new blown sand hazards and ensure the safe operation of the existing Qinghai-Tibet Railway. Therefore,defining the minimum distance of the wind speed and its flow field,which are not affected by each other,between the subgrades become a scientific problem that should be solved immediately to implement the construction of the Qinghai-Tibet Expressway. For this purpose,the minimum safe distance between the subgrades of the Qinghai-Tibet Expressway and Qinghai-Tibet Railway was investigated from the perspective of blown sand by making subgrade models for conducting wind tunnel experiments and combining the observation data of the local field. Results indicated that the minimum safe distance between the two subgrades is 45–50 times the subgrade height when the Qinghai-Tibet Expressway is located at the downwind direction of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway,and 50 times the subgrade height when the former is located at the upwind direction of the latter. 4Wind-proof and sand-fixing effects of Artemisia ordosica with different coverages in the Mu Us Sandy Land,northern China显示文摘Wind erosion is a key global environmental problem and has many adverse effects.The Mu Us Sandy Land of northern China is characterized by an arid climate,where vegetation patches and bare sand patches are usually distributed mosaically,and aeolian activities occur frequently.Vegetation plays a significant role in controlling wind erosion.Artemisia ordosica is the most dominant native plant species in the Mu Us Sandy Land.It is urgent to study the wind-proof and sand-fixing effects of Artemisia ordosica in the Mu Us Sandy Land.This study analyzed the wind-proof and sand-fixing effects of Artemisia ordosica based on the field data of wind regimes,aeolian sediment transport,and surface change of Artemisia ordosica plots with four coverages(denoted as site A,site B,site C,and site D)in the Mu Us Sandy Land during the period from 1 June 2018 to 29 June 2019.The coverages of Artemisia ordosica at site A,site B,site C,and site D were 2%,16%,29%,and 69%,respectively.The annual average wind speeds at 2.0 m height above the ground for site A,site B,site C,and site D were 3.47,2.77,2.21,and 1.97 m/s,respectively.The annual drift potentials were 193.80,69.72,15.05,and 6.73 VU at site A,site B,site C,and site D,respectively.The total horizontal aeolian sediment fluxes during the period from 2-3 June 2018 to 6 June 2019 at site A,site B,site C,and site D were 4633.61,896.80,10.54,and 6.14 kg/m,respectively.Site A had the largest surface changes,and the surface changes at site B were significantly weaker than those at site A,whereas the surface changes at site C and site D were minimal.The results indicated that Artemisia ordosica significantly reduced the wind speed,drift potential,aeolian sediment transport,and surface changes.The higher the coverage of Artemisia ordosica is,the more obvious the effects of wind-proof and sand-fixing.Wind erosion would be effectively controlled in the Mu Us Sandy Land if the coverage of Artemisia ordosica is greater than 29%.These results provide a scientific basis for evaluating the ecosystem service function of Artemisia ordosica and the vegetation protection and construction projects in the Mu Us Sandy Land.PANG Yingjun WU Bo JIA Xiaohong XIE Shengbo 2022Journal of Arid Land2022,14,8:2
5Effect of end-to-end invagination pancreaticojejunostomy with circle discontinuous U suture in pancreatic surgery显示文摘The aim of this paper is to summarize the methods of pancreaticojejunostomy in the pancreatic operation and to study the safety and feasibility of a new operative method called end-to-end invagination pancreaticojejunostomy with circle discontinuous U suture to prevent fistula of pancreaticojejunostomy.Eight-three patients with pancreaticoduodenectomy in the 3rd Hospital,Jilin University from 2001 January to 2006 April were reviewed.The incidences of pancreatic fistula with different types of pancreaticojejunostomy were compared.The overall incidence rate of pancreatic fistula was 26.5%(22/83).No pancreatic fistula occurred in end-to-end invagination pancreaticojejunostomy with circle discontinuous U suture.The incidence rate of the fistula following end-to-end invagination pancreaticojejunostomy with circle discontinuous U suture was significantly lower than that of traditional end-to-end pancreaticojejunostomy[40%,(10/25),P<0.01]and end-to-side pancreaticojejunostomy[27.3%,(12/44),P<0.05],but no significant difference(P>0.05)between traditional end-to-end pancreaticojejunostomy and end-to-side pancreaticojejunostomy was discovered.End-to-end invagination pancreaticojejunostomy with circle discontinuous U suture has a definite effect on avoiding pancreatic fistula following pancreaticojejunostomy and is worth being recommended.But the cases were limited,so this method would still need to be observed and confirmed further in the future.ZHANG Xuewen XUAN Wei JIANG Tao JI Degang YANG Yongsheng ZHANG Dan XIE Yingjun MENG Zihui ZHAO Jisheng 2007Frontiers of Medicine2007,1,1:1

7DESIGN OF NOVEL HIGH PRESSURE-RESISTANT HYDROTHERMAL FLUID SAMPLE VALVE显示文摘Sampling study is an effective exploration method,but the most extreme environments of hydrothermal vents pose considerable engineering challenges for sampling hydrothermal fluids. Moreover,traditional sampler systems with sample valves have difficulty in maintaining samples in situ pressure. However,decompression changes have effect on microorganisms sensitive to such stresses. To address the technical difficulty of collecting samples from hydrothermal vents,a new bidirectional high pressure-resistant sample valve with balanced poppet was designed. The sample valve utilizes a soft high performance plastic 'PEEK' as poppet. The poppet with inapposite dimension is prone to occur to plastic deformation or rupture for high working pressure in experiments. To address this issue,based on the finite element model,simulated results on stress distribution of the poppet with different structure parameters and preload spring force were obtained. The static axial deformations on top of the poppet were experimented. The simulated results agree with the experimental results. 13Morphological characteristics and dynamic changes of seif dunes in the eastern margin of the Kumtagh Desert,China显示文摘The seif dune field over the gravel desert surface in the eastern margin of the Kumtagh Desert is a valuable experimental site for the observation of dune formation and dynamics.We used high-resolution remote sensing and station observation approaches,combined with wind and grain size data,to study the characteristics of the aeolian environment and the morphologies of and dynamic changes in seif dunes.We observed the ratio of the resultant drift potential(RDP)to the drift potential(DP),which was 0.37,associated with an obtuse bimodal wind regime.The drift potentials in the west-northwest(WNW)and east-northeast(ENE)directions were dominant,and the angle between the two primary DP directions was 135.00°.The dune orientations ranged from 168.75°-213.75°,which were parallel to the resultant drift direction(186.15°).The dune lengths ranged from 51.68 to 1932.1 m with a mean value of 344.91 m.The spacings of the dunes ranged from 32.34 to 319.77 m with a mean value of 93.39 m.The mean grain size of the sediments became finer,and the sorting became better from upwind tail to downwind tip,which indicated that the sediment of the seif dunes in the study region may be transported from northward to southward.The rate of increase in the length,the mean longitudinal migration rate of the dune tail,and the mean longitudinal extension rate of the dune tip(also called elongation rate)were 4.93,4.63,and 9.55 m/a,respectively.The mean lateral migration vector of the seif dunes was approximately 0.11 m/a towards the west(-0.11 m/a),while the mean amplitude of lateral migration was 0.53 m/a,ignoring the direction of lateral migration.We found that the seif dune field formed first beside seasonal rivers,which can provide sediment,and then expanded downwind.PANG Yingjun WU Bo LI Yonghua XIE Shengbo 2020Journal of Arid Land2020,12,5:0

16Up-regulation of miR-1245 by c-myc targets BRCA2 and impairs DNA repair显示文摘BRCA2,a clinical prognostic factor,is significantly up-regulated in mRNA level,while its protein expression is often decreased in sporadic breast cancer.However,how BRCA2 protein expressions are suppressed in these tumors remains unknown.In this study,we demonstrated that miR-1245 directly suppressed BRCA23′-UTR and translation,impaired homologous recombination(HR)-mediated repair,reduced DNA damage-induced Rad51 nuclear foci,and rendered cells hypersensitive to g-irradiation(IR),ul-timately inducing high chromosomal abnormalities in normal breast cells and breast cancer cells.Conversely,inhibiting miR-1245 in breast cancer cells enhanced BRCA2 levels and induced resistance to IR.Furthermore,we demonstrated that c-myc up-regulated miR-1245 expression via direct binding to the miR-1245 promoter,which led to down-regulation of BRCA2 and reduction in HR efficiency.Significantly,miR-1245 levels in primary breast tumors correlated with c-myc overexpression and BRCA2 suppression.These findings uncover a BRCA2 regulatory and signaling pathway in sporadic breast cancer and support a functionally and clinically relevant epigenetic mechanism in cancer pathogenesis.Libing Song Ting Dai Yingjun Xie Chanjuan Wang Chuyong Lin Zhiqiang Wu Zhe Ying Jueheng Wu Mengfeng Li Jun Li 2012Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2012,4,2:0
17Recent progress and future prospects for mechanized harvesting of fruit crops with shaking systems显示文摘Mechanized harvesting technologies with shaking systems for fruit industry have been widely investigated and significantly developed over the past several decades which were presented by a large amount of literature.This paper reviews the research and development progress of mechanized harvesting of fruits systematically with a focus on the theoretical study,fruit crop variety,shaking system categories,abscission chemical agents,and their actual applications.Based on the comprehensive review,mechanized harvesting systems for different fruit crops appear multifarious shaking modes with various vibratory mechanisms and structural dimensions.Major advantages in the development of fruit mechanical harvesting with effective vibratory patterns and catching frames provide a series of economic and agronomic benefits,such as reducing labor costs,promoting standardized planting,and increasing productivity.However,fruit injury and tree damage are the main reasons why mechanical shaking systems are rarely used for fresh fruit harvesting because of tenderness and frangibility of the fruit crops.Therefore,more efforts should be concentrated on the innovative shake-and-catch system with suitable frequency and amplitude to achieve low fruit damage or even nondestructive harvesting for fresh fruit market.This overview summarized the advantages and bottlenecks of these shaking systems for fruit harvesting and proposed the challenges and some constructive prospective viewpoints aimed at the major issues of mechanical harvesting techniques.In addition,employing sorting technologies to classify the postharvest fruits provide a new direction for the further development of mechanized harvesting in high-value fruit crops,as well as bring more benefits to growers and increase their interest in equipment investment on the mechanical shaking harvester for the fruit industry.Yingjun Pu Shuming Wang Fuzeng Yang Reza Ehsani Lijun Zhao Chengsong Li Shouyong Xie Mingjin Yang 2023International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2023,16,1:0
18Microfossil evidence of rice cultivation on the Southeast China Coast 7500 years ago显示文摘Located on the southeast coast of China,Fujian is an important junction for the spread and migration of agriculture and populations from mainland Asia to Taiwan and the Island Southeast Asia.Research on the emergence of agriculture and its relationship with the regional environmental context is key to understanding the evolution of ancient human-land interactions in the coastal zone of China.This paper presents a detailed microfossil analysis of the Dapingding site,which is located in the lower reaches of the Min River on the southeast coast of China.We found a large number of phytoliths produced in rice stems and leaves from the cultural layers of this site,dated to 7,500 cal.a BP.In addition,we found rice husk impressions and rice phytoliths in the pottery sherds of these cultural layers.Among these phytoliths,rice bulliform phytoliths with≥9 fish-scale patterns indicating the degree of rice domestication,accounted for 44%.This percentage is much higher than the established standard for wild rice bulliform phytoliths with fish-scale patterns,suggesting that rice cultivation had already occurred on the southeast coast of China approximately 7,500 years ago.Subsequently,the starting time of agricultural activity on the southeast coast of China was pushed from 5,000 to 7,500 years ago.Comparing the regional history of sea level and coastline changes in the early to mid-Holocene,we suggest that the emergence of early rice cultivation in Southeast China was associated with high sea levels in the midHolocene and the last transgression in the Fuzhou Basin.The’Fuzhou Bay’,formed by the retreating coastline and transgression driven by high sea levels,may have provided a sea channel for the southward movement of northern rice farmers.Xinxin ZUO Jinqi DAI Wei WU Jianhui JIN Wei GE Yinping WANG Lin REN Yingjun LIN Yaoyao PEI Hui XIE 2022Science China Earth Sciences2022,65,11:0
