A special numerical method for fluid-structure interaction problems subjected to explosion and impact loading显示文摘A three-dimensional(3D) embedded Eulerian-Lagrangian method is proposed to simulate the 3D fluid-structure interaction(FSI) problems subjected to explosion and impact loading. This method achieves a high-quality calculation of fluid and structure deformation by adding Lagrangian particles to Eulerian grids. The overall computational domain is solved by the Eulerian method, and the Lagrangian particles with specified volume and influence domains are used to track structural deformations. The bidirectional mapping of physical quantities is achieved using the weighted average of the influence domain, which are based on the topological relationship between Eulerian grids and Lagrangian particles. Then, the data dependence solution and parallel algorithm realization are presented for the large-scale numerical calculations of explosion and impact problems. Additionally, the corresponding parallel program is developed based on the message passing interface(MPI) standard, and the parallel efficiency of parallel hydrocode are tested. The numerical results of typical explosion and impact problems are compared with corresponding experimental data to verify the effectiveness of the method. These comparisons show that the embedded EulerianLagrangian method successfully combine the advantages of both the Eulerian and Lagrangian methods to efficiently calculate the processes of large deformation and dynamic damage to the materials. The results presented in this work provide a useful reference point for further research on explosion and impact problems. | NING JianGuo MENG FanLin MA TianBao XU XiangZhao | 2020 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,7: | 4
Development and Application of a Tyrosinase-Based Time-Temperature Indicator(TTI) for Determining the Quality of Turbot Sashimi显示文摘Time-temperature indicators(TTIs) are convenient intuitive devices that are widely used to predict food quality. The aim of this study is to develop a new simple device which can be attached to food packages as a quality indicator for turbot sashimi. In this study, a solid TTI based on the reaction between tyrosinase and tyrosine was developed. The Arrhenius behavior of this enzymatic TTI was studied. The kinetics of the tyrosinase-based TTI was investigated in the form of color change from colorless to dark black induced by the enzymatic reaction. The mathematical formula for the color alterations as a function of time and temperature was established. The longest indication time for the developed TTI was 50 hours at 4℃. The activation energy of the tyrosinase-based TTI was 0.409 k J mol^(-1). The suitability of the tyrosinase-based TTI was validated for turbot sashimi using total plate count. The feasibility of using this TTI as a quality indicator for turbot sashimi was assessed based on the activation energy and indication time. Therefore, the tyrosinasebased TTI system developed in this study could be used as an effective tool for monitoring the quality changes of turbot sashimi during the distribution and storage. | XU Fengjuan GE Lei LI Zhenxing LIN Hong MAO Xiangzhao | 2017 | Journal of Ocean University of China2017,16,5: | 4
pH-sensitive and biodegradable charge-transfer nanocomplex for second near-infrared photoacoustic tumor imaging显示文摘The emerging technique of photoacoustic imaging, especially in the near infra-red(NIR)window,permits high resolution,deep-penetration,clinically reliable sensing. However, few contrast agents are available that can specifically respond to intricate biological environments, and which are biodegradable and biocompatible.Herein,we in troduce a new class of pH-sensitive orga nic photoacoustic con trast age nt that operates in the second NIR window(NIR-II,960-1,700 nm),which is derived from the self-assembled charge-transfer nanocomplex(CTN)by 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine(TMB)and its dication structure(TMB++).The unique NIR-ll-responsive CTN can specifically respond to pH change in the physiological range and allows noninvasive and sensitive visualization of the tumor acidic microenvironment(e.g.at pH5)in mice with higher signal-to-noise ratio. The CTN is biodegradable under physiological conditions(e.g.pH 7.4),which alleviates the biosafety concern of nan oparticle accumulati on in vivo. These results clearly show the pote ntial of the TMB/TMB++-based CTN as a promisi ng pH-activated and biodegradable molecular probe for specific tumor photoacoustic imaging in the NIR-II region. | Zhimin Wang Paul Kumar Upputuri Xu Zhen Ruochong Zhang Yuyan Jiang Xiangzhao Ai Zhijun Zhang Ming Hu Zhenyu Meng Yunpeng Lu Yuanjing Zheng Kanyi Pu Manojit Pramanik Bengang Xing | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,1: | 3
Experimental and theoretical investigation of the failure behavior of a reinforced concrete target under high-energy penetration显示文摘The dynamic mechanical properties of concrete and reinforced concrete targets subjected to high-speed projectile impact loading have a significant influence on the impact resistance of protective structures. In this study,high-speed projectile penetration and perforation of concrete and reinforced concrete structures was carried out to determine the high-energy impact loading. The failure behaviors of projectile penetration and perforation of the concrete and reinforced concrete targets were investigated, and the destruction characteristics of the targets were measured. An analytical model was established using the principle of minimum potential energy. The results show that the theoretical predictions are consistent with the experimental data, indicating that the energy method is effective for predicting the dynamic mechanical properties of concrete and reinforced concrete targets under high-speed projectile penetration. | Fanlin Meng Tianbao Ma Xiangzhao Xu | 2020 | Acta Mechanica Sinica2020,36,1: | 2
A theoretical model of rigid projectile perforation of concrete slabs using the energy method显示文摘Projectile perforation of concrete slabs will produce numerous concrete fragments on the rear face of the concrete slabs. These concrete fragments will cause serious secondary damage to the indoor personnel and equipment of protective structures.Accurately evaluating the damage area of concrete slabs is an important problem. Therefore, a theoretical model of a rigid projectile perforation of concrete slabs is constructed using the energy method in this paper. In this model, a new shear failure method is proposed to calculate the energy consumption of the shear formation by combining with the von-Mises failure criterion and failure strain. Based on the energy conservation and principle of minimum potential energy, explicit equations for the perforation performance are formulated. The theoretical predictions agree well with the experimental results. Furthermore, experiments on a high-speed projectile normal perforation of concrete are carried out to verify the accuracy of the corresponding theoretical prediction. | XU XiangZhao MA TianBao WANG ZhiHua | 2018 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2018,61,5: | 1
Reactive air wetting and brazing of Al_(2)O_(3) ceramics using Ag-Nb_(2)O_(5) filler: Performance and interfacial behavior显示文摘We firstly performed the reactive air wetting and brazing of Al_(2)O_(3) ceramics using Ag-(0.5-12)Nb_(2)O_(5) fillers, where Nb_(2)O_(5) can react with liquid Ag and O2 from air to generate AgNbO_(3).The contact angle of the Ag-Nb_(2)O_(5)/Al_(2)O_(3) system almost linearly decreases from~71.6°to 32.5°with the Nb_(2)O_(5) content increasing, and the joint shear strength reaches the maximum of~65.1 MPa while employing the Ag-4Nb_(2)O_(5) filler, which are mainly related to the formation and distribution of the AgNbO_(3) phase at the interface. Moreover, the interfacial bonding and electronic properties of related interfaces were investigated by first-principles calculations. The calculated works of adhesion(Wa)of Ag(111)/Ag-O-AgNbO_(3)(001)and AgNbO_(3)(001)/Al_(2)O_(3)(100)interfaces are higher than that of the Ag(111)/Al_(2)O_(3)(110)interface,indicating good reliability of the Ag/AgNbO_(3)/Al_(2)O_(3) structure. The relatively large interfacial charge transfer indicates the formation of Ag-Ag,Al-O,and Ag-O bonds in the Ag/AgNbO_(3)/Al_(2)O_(3) structure, which can contribute to the interfacial bonding. | Yudi Qiu Shunjian Xu Xiangzhao Zhang Mingfen Zhang Qinhan Guo Beiji Wang Guanjun Qiao Guiwu Liu | 2024 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2024,13,2: | 0
End-to-end computational design for an EUV solar corona multispectral imager with stray light suppression显示文摘An extreme ultraviolet solar corona multispectral imager can allow direct observation of high temperature coronal plasma, which is related to solar flares, coronal mass ejections and other significant coronal activities. This manuscript proposes a novel end-to-end computational design method for an extreme ultraviolet(EUV)solar corona multispectral imager operating at wavelengths near 100 nm,including a stray light suppression design and computational image recovery. To suppress the strong stray light from the solar disk,an outer opto-mechanical structure is designed to protect the imaging component of the system.Considering the low reflectivity(less than 70%)and strong-scattering(roughness)of existing extreme ultraviolet optical elements, the imaging component comprises only a primary mirror and a curved grating.A Lyot aperture is used to further suppress any residual stray light. Finally,a deep learning computational imaging method is used to correct the individual multi-wavelength images from the original recorded multi-slit data.In results and data, this can achieve a far-field angular resolution below 7',and spectral resolution below 0.05 nm.The field of view is±3 R☉along the multi-slit moving direction, where R☉represents the radius of the solar disk. The ratio of the corona's stray light intensity to the solar center's irradiation intensity is less than 10-6 at the circle of 1.3 R☉. | Jinming Gao Yue Sun Yinxu Bian Jilong Peng Qian Yu Cuifang Kuang Xiangzhao Wang Xu Liu Xiangqun Cui | 2024 | Astronomical Techniques and Instruments2024,1,1: | 0
Applying Both Chemical Liquefaction and Enzymatic Catalysis Can Increase Production of Agaro-Oligosaccharides from Agarose显示文摘Red algae represents an important marine bioresource. One high-value utilization of red algae is the production of agarooligosaccharides which have many positive biological effects. However, the lack of an efficient production route seriously limits the application of agaro-oligosaccharides.In this study,we established a green route that combines chemical liquefaction and enzymatic catalysis for the efficient production of agaro-oligosaccharides,and we used the production of neoagarotetraose(NA4)as an example.Agarose(150 g L^−1)liquefaction by citric acid was controlled with respect to two targets:a 100%liquefaction rate and a high average degree of polymerization(>4)of the liquesced agaro-oligosaccharides,which were then catalyzed byβ-agarase into an oligosaccharides mixture with a high concentration of NA4(30.8 g L^−1)in a 1-L reaction volume. After purification,we obtained 25.5 g of NA4 with a purity of 92%.This work establishes an easy route for the efficient production of pure agaro-oligosaccharides from agarose. | JIANG Chengcheng LIU Zhen LIU Jie SUN Jianan XU Jiachao LI Laihao MAO Xiangzhao | 2020 | Journal of Ocean University of China2020,19,6: | 0
