| 1 | Blocking the JAK2/STAT3 and ERK pathways suppresses the proliferation of gastrointestinal cancers by inducing apoptosis显示文摘Dysregulated crosstalk between different signaling pathways contributes to tumor development,including resistance to cancer therapy.In the present study,we found that the mitogen-activated extracellular signal-regulated kinase(MEK)inhibitor trametinib failed to suppress the proliferation of PANC-1 and MGC803 cells by activating the Janus kinase 2(JAK2)/signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3)signaling pathway,while the JAK2 inhibitor fedratinib failed to inhibit the growth of the PANC-1 cells upon stimulation of extracellular signal-regulated kinase(ERK)signaling.In particular,the most prominent enhancement of the anti-proliferative effect resulted from the concurrent blockage of the JAK2/STAT3 and ERK signaling pathways.Furthermore,the combination of the two inhibitors resulted in a reduced tumor burden in mice.Our evidence suggests novel crosstalk between JAK2/STAT3 and ERK signaling in gastric cancer(GC)and pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC)cells and provides a therapeutic strategy to overcome potential resistance in gastrointestinal cancer. | Xi WANG Chunyan DAI Yifei YIN Lin WU Weiyang JIN Yufei FU Zhe CHEN Ke HAO Bin LU | 2021 | Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2021,22,6: | 4 |
| 2 | Landing noise of aircraft based on the fly-over measurements with a planar microphone array显示文摘A large planar microphone array, which consists of 111 microphones, was successfully developed. The positions of 111 microphones in the array were determined by a random optimization procedure for the largest possible amplification and dynamic range. The beam pattern of planar array was obtained by numerical calculation. This planar array was applied to measure a two-dimensional mapping of the sound sources on landing aircraft. It is shown that important airframe noise sources can be identified. | 3 | Passive Control of Laminar Separation Bubble with Spanwise Groove on a Low-speed Highly Loaded Low-pressure Turbine Blade显示文摘LES (Large-Eddy Simulation) computations were preformed to investigate the mechanisms of a kind of spanwisegroove for the passive control of laminar separation bubble on the suction surface of a low-speed highly loadedlow-pressure turbine blade at Re = 50,000 (Reynolds number, based on inlet velocity and axial chord length).Compared with the smooth suction surface, the numerical results indicate that: (1) the groove is effective toshorten and thin the separation bubble, which contributes the flow loss reduction on the groove surface, by thinningthe boundary layer behind the groove and promoting earlier transition inception in the separation bubble; (2)upstream movement of the transition inception location on the grooved surface is suggested being the result of thelower frequency at which the highest amplification rate of instability waves occurs, and the larger initial amplitudeof the disturbance at the most unstable frequency before transition; and (3) the viscous instability mode ispromoted on the grooved surface, due to the thinning of the boundary layer behind the groove. | Hualing Luo Weiyang Qiao Kaifu XuCollege of Power and Energy, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi’an 710072, China | 2009 | Journal of Thermal Science2009,18,3: | 1 |

| 5 | Scientific objectives of the Hot Universe Baryon Surveyor(HUBS) mission显示文摘The Hot Universe Baryon Surveyor(HUBS) is a proposed space-based X-ray telescope for detecting X-ray emissions from the hot gas content in our universe. With its unprecedented spatially-resolved high-resolution spectroscopy and large field of view,the HUBS mission will be uniquely qualified to measure the physical and chemical properties of the hot gas in the interstellar medium, the circumgalactic medium, the intergalactic medium, and the intracluster medium. These measurements will be valuable for two key scientific goals of HUBS, namely to unravel the AGN and stellar feedback physics that governs the formation and evolution of galaxies, and to probe the baryon budget and multi-phase states from galactic to cosmological scales. In addition to these two goals, the HUBS mission will also help us solve some problems in the fields of galaxy clusters, AGNs, difuse X-ray backgrounds, supernova remnants, and compact objects. | 6 | Small extracellular vesicles derived from hypoxic preconditioned dental pulp stem cells ameliorate inflammatory osteolysis by modulating macrophage polarization and osteoclastogenesis显示文摘Extensive macrophage inflammatory responses and osteoclast formation are predominant during inflammatory or infective osteolysis.Mesenchymal stem cell(MSC)-derived small extracellular vesicles(MSC-sEV)have been shown to exert therapeutic effects on bone defects.However,cultured MSCs are typically exposed to normoxia(21%O2)in vitro,which differs largely from the oxygen concentration in vivo under hypoxic conditions.It is largely unknown whether sEV derived from dental pulp stem cells(DPSCs)cultured under hypoxic conditions(Hypo-sEV)exert better therapeutic effects on lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced inflammatory osteolysis than those cultured under normoxic conditions(Nor-sEV)by simultaneously inhibiting the macrophage inflammatory response and osteoclastogenesis.In this study,we show that hypoxia significantly induces the release of sEV from DPSCs.Moreover,Hypo-sEV exhibit significantly improved efficacy in promoting M2 macrophage polarization and suppressing osteoclast formation to alleviate LPS-induced inflammatory calvarial bone loss compared with Nor-sEV.Mechanistically,hypoxia preconditioning markedly alters the miRNA profiles of DPSC-sEV.MiR-210-3p is enriched in Hypo-sEV,and can simultaneously induce M2 macrophage generation and inhibit osteoclastogenesis by targeting NF-κB1 p105,which attenuates osteolysis.Our study suggests a promising potential for hypoxia-induced DPSC-sEV to treat inflammatory or infective osteolysis and identifies a novel role of miR-210-3p in concurrently hindering osteoclastogenesis and macrophage inflammatory response by inhibiting NF-kB1 expression. | Jun Tian Weiyang Chen Yuhua Xiong Qianer Li Siyi Kong Mengjie Li Chunfeng Pang Yu Qiu Zhezhen Xu Qimei Gong Xi Wei | 2023 | Bioactive Materials2023,,4: | 1 |
