2The effects of diltiazem in renal transplantation patients treated with cyclosporine A显示文摘Objective:To investigate the effects of diltiazem and cyclosporine A(CsA)combination therapy on protecting the kidney,promoting graft functioning and improving post-transplanted kidney recovery.Methods:The blood concentrations of CsA,the condition of the post-transplant kidney,the rate of acute rejection(AR),as well as hepatic and renal toxicity in 636 cases of renal transplant recipients were determined after being treated by CsA,with or without diltiazem.Results:Compared with the control group which received CsA,mycophenolate mofetil(MMF) and prednisolone(Pred)but lacked diltiazem,the group receiving these agents together with diltiazem required reduced dosage of CsA(P<0.01),while blood concentrations of CsA were significantly increased(P<0.01);the recovery time of graft function was reduced from(6.2±1.5)d to(3.9±1.4)d(P<0.01),and the rate of AR was decreased from 13.2%to 7.9%(P<0.01).Conclusion:In renal transplantation patients treated with CsA and diltiazem,blood concentrations of CsA were increased while the dosage was decreased.This efficient combination therapy reduced patients'economic burden,at the same time retained kidney function,promoted graft function recovery and decreased hepatic and renal toxicity and the rate of AR.Wujun Xue Yong Song Puxun Tian Xiaoming Ding Xiaoming Pan Hang Yan Jun Hou Xinshun Feng Heli Xiang Xiaohui Tian 2010The Journal of Biomedical Research2010,24,4:4

4Cost of two different therapies for end-stage renal disease in northwest China显示文摘Currently,the growing number of end-stage renal disease patients in developing countries consumes a greater proportion of healthcare budget,and increasing attention is being focused on the cost-effectiveness of the procedure.We aimed to assess the cost-effectiveness of living-related renal transplantation (RTx) as compared with that for hemodialysis (HD) and identify medical factors associated with charges for RTx in northwestern China.This study was a retrospective analysis of 372 patients on regular HD and 122 living-related kidney transplant recipients on regular follow-up for at least 3 years in northwestern China.All data on charges included HD procedure,RTx procedure,the cost for donor operation,immunosuppression,and follow-up medicare.The average annual cost to all patients on HD and kidney recipients during the first 3 years after RTx was $14482/$31027,$13502/$11038,and $13382/$10243,respectively.The three variables were found to be significant in predicting increased costs for RTx:diltiazem administration,acute rejection and infection complications.We concluded that from the second year on,RTx in China was more effective and less costly than dialysis treatment,although recipients without diltiazem administration and with acute rejection or infection proved costlier during the first year after transplantation.Pan Xiaoming Xiang Heli Ding Chenguang Liu Hua Chen Guozhen Mao Tianci 2012Journal of Medical Colleges of PLA(China)2012,27,2:1

6Investigation on Modification of NaY Zeolite and Its Behaviors in Selective Adsorptive Desulfurization of FCC gasoline显示文摘NaY zeolite was modified with oxalic acid, and Ce(IV)Y(1) zeolite was obtained via liquid phase ion exchange between the modified NaY zeolite and cerium nitrate. The Ce(IV)Y(2) zeolite was obtained via liquid phase ion exchange between NaY zeolite and cerium nitrate. The performance of two Y zeolites [Ce(IV)Y(1) and Ce(IV)Y(2)] was compared through static selective adsorptive desulfurization of FCC gasoline at room temperature and normal pressure. The sulfur compounds and contents of the FCC gasoline were analyzed by microcoulometry and GC-SCD chromatogram. The results showed that the effect of adsorptive desulfurization of FCC gasoline achieved by Ce(IV)Y(1) zeolite was better than that of Ce(IV)Y(2) zeolite. The rate for adsorptive desulfurization of FCC gasoline by Ce(IV)Y(1) zeolite and Ce(IV)Y(2) zeolite was 85.0% and 62.4%, respectively. The Ce(IV)Y(1) zeolite could adsorb DMTs, which could not be adsorbed by Ce(IV)Y(2) zeolite. 7Predictive value of hypothermic machine perfusion parameters combined perfusate biomarkers in deceased donor kidney transplantation显示文摘Background:Delayed graft function(DGF)is the main cause of renal function failure after kidney transplantation.This study aims at investigating the value of hypothermic machine perfusion(HMP)parameters combined with perfusate biomarkers on predicting DGF and the time of renal function recovery after deceased donor(DD)kidney transplantation.Methods:HMP parameters,perfusate biomarkers and baseline characteristics of 113 DD kidney transplantations from January 1,2019 to August 31,2019 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University were retrospectively analyzed using univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis.Results:In this study,the DGF incidence was 17.7%(20/113);The multivariate logistic regression results showed that terminal resistance(OR:1.879,95%CI 1.145-3.56)and glutathione S-transferase(GST)(OR=1.62,95%CI 1.23-2.46)were risk factors for DGF;The Cox model analysis indicated that terminal resistance was an independent hazard factor for renal function recovery time(HR=0.823,95%CI 0.735-0.981).The model combining terminal resistance and GST(AUC=0.888,95%CI:0.842-0.933)significantly improved the DGF predictability compared with the use of terminal resistance(AUC=0.756,95%CI 0.693-0.818)or GST alone(AUC=0.729,95%CI 0.591-0.806).Conclusion:According to the factors analyzed in this study,the combination of HMP parameters and perfusate biomarkers displays a potent DGF predictive value.Yuxi Qiao Chenguang Ding Yang Li Xiaohui Tian Puxun Tian Xiaoming Ding Heli Xiang Jin Zheng Wujun Xue 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,2:1

9Effects of mature Sertoli cells on allogeneic islets cocultured in vitro显示文摘Objective: To set up a method for isolation and culture of mature Sertoli cells and to estimate their effects on allogeneic islets cocultured in vitro. Methods: Adult SD rat testicular Sertoli cells were prepared successfully by three-step enzyme digestion. Then they were cocultured respectively with allogeneic islets and activated Wistar rat splenocytes. 24-hour cumulative insulin release and glucose-stimulated insulin secretion test were performed to detect islet function between pure islets culture group and coculture group. Splenocyte proliferation activity was determined by MTT colorimetry assay to observe the inhibition effect of Sertoli cells in different densities. Result: Firstly, in pure islet culture group, the 24-hour cumulative insulin release was gradually decreased in 21-day culture time. Compared to day 3, this change was significant on day 7 (P < 0.05) and on day 10,14,21(P < 0.01). In contrast, in coculture group, compared to day 3, the 24-hour cumulative insulin release was increased significantly on day 7 (P < 0.01), and then gradually decreased on day 10 and 14, but still higher than that of day 3. It was on day 21 that it began to decrease compared to day 3(P < 0.05). During the culture time in vitro, the 24-hour cumulative insulin release of islet coculture group was significantly higher than that of pure islets culture group(P < 0.01). In the case of stimulation index(SI), there was a similar tendency as insulin release in the two groups. Secondly, mature Sertoli cells(1×106/mL) pretreated by 15 grays irradiation could decrease proliferation activity of activated splenocytes compared to that of control group(P < 0.01). This inhibition effect was dose-dependent. Conclusion: Mature Sertoli cells can improve the function and prolong the survival of islet cells cultured in vitro. They can also provide an immune protection to islet cells.
