1Rho 1 participates in parasitoid wasp eggs maturation and host cellular immunity inhibition显示文摘Endoparasitoid wasps introduce venom into their host insects during the egglaying stage.Venom proteins play various roles in the host physiology,development,immunity,and behavior manipulation and regulation.In this study,we identified a venom protein,MmRhol,a small guanine nucleotide-binding protein derived from ovary in the endoparasitoid wasp Microplitis mediator and found that knockdown of its expression by RNA interference caused down-regulation of vitellogenin and juvenile hormone,egg production,and cocoons formation in the female wasps.We demonstrated that MmRho1 entered the cotton bollworm's(host)hemocytes and suppressed cellular immune responses after parasitism using immunofluorescence staining.Furthermore,wasp MmRhol interacted with the cotton bollworm's actin cytoskeleton rearrangement regulator diaphanous by yeast 2-hybrid and glutathione s-transferase pull-down.In conclusion,this study indicates that MmRho1 plays dual roles in wasp development and the suppression of the host insect cellular immune responses.Ruijuan Wang Zhe Lin Lizhen Zhou Caihua Chen Xianhao Yu Junje Zhang Zhen Zou Zhiqiang Lu 2023Insect Science2023,30,3:1

3Geometrically Shaped 32QAM and Modified Binary Switching Coding Method in Underwater Visible Light Communication显示文摘Visible light communication(VLC)has emerged as a promising communication method in 6G,particularly in the domain of underwater communication.However,because of its intimate coupling to the lightemitting diodes(LED),the transmission rate is limited by the modulation bandwidth and the nonlinearity of the LED.With current device development,LED bandwidth is substantially lower than that of other optical communication devices,necessitating improved spectral efficiency and nonlinearity robustness to achieve high-speed transmission.In this paper,we propose a hexagonal constellation-based geometrically shaped(GS)32QAM with carrierless amplitude and phase(CAP)modulation for the underwater VLC system.A comprehensive performance comparison of four GS modulation methods,including our proposed hexagonal-32QAM,normal 32QAM,square-32QAM and 32APSK is investigated in both theory and experiment.The hexagonal-32QAM with a modified binary switching coding(BSC)can obtain a Q factor gain of 0.44 dB,and a data rate improvement of 25 Mb/s compared with Gary coding based normal 32QAM.The experimentally results illustrate the feasibility of geometric shaping 32QAM in underwater visible light communication.SHI Jianyang CAI Jifan QIN Guojin JIN Ruizhe LIN Xianhao CHI Nan 2022Chinese Journal of Electronics2022,31,6:0
431.38 Gb/s GaN-based LED array visible light communication system enhanced with V-pit and sidewall quantum well structure显示文摘Although the 5G wireless network has made significant advances,it is not enough to accommodate the rapidly rising requirement for broader bandwidth in post-5G and 6G eras.As a result,emerging technologies in higher frequencies including visible light communication(VLC),are becoming a hot topic.In particular,LED-based VLC is foreseen as a key enabler for achieving data rates at the Tb/s level in indoor scenarios using multi-color LED arrays with wavelength division multiplexing(WDM)technology.This paper proposes an optimized multi-color LED array chip for high-speed VLC systems.Its long-wavelength GaN-based LED units are remarkably enhanced by V-pit structure in their efficiency,especially in the“yellow gap”region,and it achieves significant improvement in data rate compared with earlier research.This work investigates the V-pit structure and tries to provide insight by introducing a new equivalent circuit model,which provides an explanation of the simulation and experiment results.In the final test using a laboratory communication system,the data rates of eight channels from short to long wavelength are 3.91 Gb/s,3.77 Gb/s,3.67 Gb/s,4.40 Gb/s,3.78 Gb/s,3.18 Gb/s,4.31 Gb/s,and 4.35 Gb/s(31.38 Gb/s in total),with advanced digital signal processing(DSP)techniques including digital equalization technique and bit-power loading discrete multitone(DMT)modulation format.Zengyi Xu Wenqing Niu Yu Liu Xianhao Lin Jifan Cai Jianyang Shi Xiaolan Wang Guangxu Wang Jianli Zhang Fengyi Jiang Zhixue He Shaohua Yu Chao Shen Junwen Zhang Nan Chi 2023Opto-Electronic Science2023,2,5:0
