| 1 | Recent advances in hydrothermal modification of calcium phosphorus coating on magnesium alloy显示文摘Magnesium(Mg) and its alloys have emerged as a favored candidate for bio-regenerative medical implants due to their superior biocompatibility, biodegradability and the elastic modulus close to that of human bone. Unfortunately, the rapid and uncontrollable degradation rate of Mg alloys in chloride-rich body microenvironments limits their clinical orthopedic applications. Recently, Calcium Phosphate(Ca-P)biomaterials, especially Hydroxyapatite(HA), have been broadly applied in the surface functional modification of metal-based biomaterials attributed to their excellent bioactivity and biocompatibility. Hydrothermal modification of Ca-P coatings on Mg alloys has been extensively exploited by researchers for its significant superiorities in controlling coating structure and improving interfacial bonding strength for better osseointegration and corrosion resistance. This work focuses on the up-to-the-minute advances in Ca-P coatings on the surface of Mg and its alloys via hydrothermal methods, including the strategies and mechanisms of hydrothermal modification. Herein, we are inclined to share some feasible and attractive hydrothermal surface modification strategies. From the perspectives of hydrothermal manufacturing technique innovation and coating structure optimization, we evaluate how to foster the corrosion resistance, coating bonding strength, osseointegration and antibacterial properties of Mg alloys with Ca-P coatings synthesized by hydrothermal method. | 3 | Glutathione S-transferase genes in scallops and their diverse expression patterns after exposure to PST-producing dinoflagellates显示文摘The glutathione S-transferases(GSTs)are a superfamily of enzymes that function in cellular protection against toxic substances and oxidative stress.Bivalves could accumulate high concentration of paralytic shellfish toxins(PSTs)from harmful algae.To understand the possible involvement of GSTs in protecting bivalves during PST accumulation and metabolism,the GST genes were systemically analyzed in two cultured scallops,Azumapecten farreri and Mizuhopecten yessoensis,which were reported for PST deposition during harmful algae bloom.A total of 35 and 37 GSTs were identified in A.farreri(AfGSTs)and M.yessoensis(MyGSTs)genome,respectively,and the expansion of the sigma class from the cytosolic subfamily was observed.In both scallop species,sigma class GSTs showed higher expression than other members.The high GSTs expression was detected mainly during/after larvae stages and in the two most toxic organs,hepatopancreas and kidney.After ingesting PST-producing dinoflagellates,all the regulated AfGSTs in the hepatopancrcas were from the sigma class,but with opposite regulation pattern between Alexandrium catenella and A.minutum exposure.In scallop kidneys,where PSTs transformed into higher toxicity,more AfGSTs were regulated than in the hepatopancreas,and most of them were from the sigma class,with similar regulation pattern between A.catenella and A.minutum exposure.In M.yessoensis exposed to A.catenella,MyGST-σ2 was the only up-regulated MyGST in both hepatopancreas and kidney.Our results suggested the possible diverse function of scallop GSTs and the importance of sigma class in the defense against PSTs,which would contribute to the adaptive evolution of scallops in marine environments. | Jiarun Lou Jie Cheng Xiaogang Xun Xu Li Moli Li Xiangchao Zhang Tingting Li Zhenmin Bao Xiaoli Hu | 2020 | Marine Life Science & Technology2020,2,3: | 2 |

| 7 | Template-Free Synthesis of Ordered Mesoporous NiO/Poly (Sodium-4-Styrene Sulfonate) Functionalized Carbon Nanotubes Composite for Electrochemical Capacitors显示文摘We report the first example of a practical and efficient template-free strategy for synthesizing ordered mesoporous NiO/poly(sodium-4-styrene sulfonate)(PSS)functionalized carbon nanotubes(FCNTs)composites by calcining a Ni(OH)_(2)/FCNTs precursor prepared by refl uxing an alkaline solution of Ni(NH_(3))x^(2)+and FCNTs at 97 oC for 1 h.The morphology and structure were characterized by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,and transmission electron microscopy.Thermal decomposition of the precursor results in the formation of ordered mesoporous NiO/FCNTs composite(ca.48 wt%NiO)with large specifi c surface area.Due to its enhanced electronic conductivity and hierarchical(meso-and macro-)porosity,composite simultaneously meets the three requirements for energy storage in electrochemical capacitors at high rate,namely,good electron conductivity,highly accessibleelectrochemical surface areas owing to the existence of mesopores,and efficient mass transport from the macropores.Electrochemical data demonstrated that the ordered mesoporous NiO/FCNTs composite is capable of delivering a specifi c capacitance(SC)of 526 F/g at 1 A/g and a SC of 439 F/g even at 6 A/g,and show a degradation of only ca.6%in SC after 2000 continuous charge/discharge cycles. | Changzhou Yuan Shenglin Xiong Xiaogang Zhang Laifa Shen Fang Zhang Bao Gao Linhao Su | 2009 | Nano Research2009,2,9: | 1 |

| 11 | Experimental and numerical studies of Ca(OH)_(2)/CaO dehydration process in a fixed-bed reactor for thermochemical energy storage显示文摘The Ca(OH)_(2)/CaO thermochemical energy storage(TCES)system based on calcium looping has received extensive attention owing to its high energy storage density,prolonged energy storage time,and environmental friendliness.The heat storage process of the Ca(OH)_(2)/CaO TCES system in a mixed heating reactor was evaluated in this study,by employing a combination of direct and indirect heating modes.The dehydration process was studied experimentally,and a numerical model was established and verified based on the experimental results.The dehydration behavior of 500 g of Ca(OH)_(2) powder was investigated in a fixed-bed reactor with mixed heating.The experimental and simulation results indicated that mixed heating causes combined centripetal and horizontal propulsion.Heat input is the main limiting factor in the heat storage process,because the radial advance of the reaction is hindered by the low thermal conductivity of the solid reactant particles.Heat transmission partitions were added to enhance the performance of the reactor.The performance of the modified reactor was compared with that of a conventional reactor.The radial heat transmission partitions in the modified reactor effectively enhance the energy storage rate and reduce the reaction time by 59.5%compared with the reactor without partitions. | Zhihao Zhang Danyang Song Hengxing Bao Xiang Ling Xiaogang Jin | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2023,62,10: | 0 |
