| 1 | Curative effect of warming kidney and fortifying spleen recipe on diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To observe the curative effect of a recipe for warming the kidney and fortifying the spleen on diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome(IBS-D).METHODS:This multi-center,double-blind,randomized,and controlled trial included 240 patients that met the inclusion criterion and were then divided into two groups of 120.Patients in the treatment group(group A)took modified Sishen Wan orally for warming the kidney and fortifying the spleen and patients in the control group(group B)took a placebo,Chao Maiya,for 4 weeks.28 days after withdrawal,there was a 6-month follow-up to observe patient recurrence condition.The total effective rate,curative effect,and recurrence rate were evaluated after treatment.RESULTS:There was statistical difference(P<0.01)between the two groups in total effective rate(92.24%in the treatment group and 49.07%in the control group),in curative effect of TCM syndrome(90.52%and 47.22%,respectively),and in the recurrence rate(15.79%and 56.86%,respectively)within6 months after treatment.CONCLUSION:Modified Sishen Wan,for warming the kidney and fortifying the spleen,can effectively treat IBS-D and better control its recurrence. | Xiaolan Su Yanping Tang Jing Zhang Yuebin Dong Wei Wei Yibing Bai Yong Liu | 2013 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013，33，5： | 22 |
| 2 | Levels of synthetic musk fragrances in human milk from three cities in the Yangtze River Delta in Eastern China显示文摘Synthetic musks are used as additives in many household products.After absorption into the human body,they accumulate and their concentrations in human milk reflect both the mother and her infant's exposure level.Concentrations of four synthetic musks,musk xylene(1-tert-butyl-2,6-dimethyl-2,4,6-trinitrobenzene,MX),musk ketone(4-tert-butyl-2,6-dimethyl-3,5-dinitroacetophenone,MK),1,3,4,6,7,8-hexahydro-4,6,6,7,8,8-hexamethylcyclopenta[γ]-2-benzopyran(HHCB) and 7-acetyl-1,1,3,4,4,6-hexamethyl-1,2,3,4tetrahydronaphthalene(AHTN),were determined in human milk samples collected from Shanghai,Wuxi,and Shaoxing in Eastern China.The four synthetic musks were found in most samples analyzed,with HHCB the dominant component followed by MX.The median(mean) values for HHCB,AHTN,MX and MK concentrations were 63(82),5(12),17(24) and 4(9) ng/g lipid weight,respectively.These data suggested the total synthetic musk contamination was low,and the distribution percentage was HHCB > MX > AHTN ≈ MK.The relative high ratio of nitro to polycylic musk indicated that nitro musks were still widely used.The musk concentrations in these cities were not significantly different from each other(p > 0.05).Principal components score plots were obtained,which showed similar exposure sources.The amount of total synthetic musks in human milk were not associated with mother's age,although HHCB was significantly correlated with AHTN(p < 0.05).Daily ingestion of HHCB,AHTN,MX and MK for infants from human milk were estimated as(2526 ± 2926),(370 ± 524),(7391 ± 832),and(277 ± 462) ng/day,respectively.Those doses were 1-2 orders of magnitude below the provisional tolerable daily intakes. | Xiaolan Zhang Gaofeng Liang Xiangying Zeng Jing Zhou Guoying Sheng Jiamo Fu | 2011 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2011，23，6： | 8 |
| 3 | High-entropy ferroelastic(10RE_(0.1))TaO_(4) ceramics with oxygen vacancies and improved thermophysical properties显示文摘The primary purpose of this work is to optimize the thermophysical properties of rare-earth tan-talate ceramics using the high-entropy effect.Here,the high-entropy rare-earth tantalate ceramic(Y_(0.1)Nd_(0.1)Sm_(0.1)Gd_(0.1)Dy_(0.1)Ho_(0.1)Er_(0.1)Tm_(0.1)Yb_(0.1)Lu_(0.1))TaO_(4)((10RE_(0.1))TaO_(4))is synthesized successfully.The lat-tice distortion and oxygen vacancy concentration are characterized firstly in the rare-earth tantalates.Notably,compared with single rare-earth tantalates,the thermal conductivity of(10RE_(0.1))TaO_(4) is reduced by 16%-45%at 100℃ and 22%-45%at 800℃,and it also presents lower phonon thermal conductivity in the entire temperature range from 100 to 1200℃.The phonon thermal conductivity(1.0-2.2 W m^(-1) K^(-1),100-1200℃)of(10RE_(0.1))TaO_(4) is lower than that of the currently reported high-entropy four-,five-and six-component rare-earth tantalates.This is the result of scattering by the ferroelastic domain,lattice distortion associated with size and mass disorder,and point defects,which target low-,mid-and high-frequency phonons.Furthermore,(10RE_(0.1))TaO_(4),as an improved candidate for thermal barrier coatings materials(TBCs),has a higher thermal expansion coefficient(10.5×10^(-6)K^(-1) at 1400℃),lower Young’s modulus(123 GPa)and better high-temperature phase stability than that of single rare-earth tantalates. | Jun Wang Xiaoyu Chong Liang Lv Yuncheng Wang Xiaolan Ji Haitao Yun Jing Feng | 2023 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023，，26： | 4 |
| 4 | Depression and stress levels increase risk of liver cancer through epigenetic downregulation of hypocretin显示文摘Recent studies suggest that Hypocretin (HCRT, Orexin) are involved in stress regulation of depression through the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis. However, the molecular mechanism by which Hypocretin regulate neurobiological responses is unknown. Herein, the effects of chronic stress on the epigenetic modification of HCRT and its association with depression were explored with regard to a potential role in cancer progression. In the study, Sprague Dawley (SD) rats were used to establish an animal model of cancer with depression by administrating n-nitrosodiethylamine (DEN) and chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS). RNA-sequencing was used to detect differentially expressed genes in the hippocampus of rats and quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) was used to validate the results of RNA-sequencing. The status of HCRT promoter methylation was assessed by methylation specific polymerase chain reaction. Behavioral tests showed that rats exposed to CUMS had significant depressive-like behaviors. The number of liver tumors and tumor load in depressed rats exposed to CUMS was higher than in SD rats without CUMS. RNA-sequencing revealed that HCRT was one of the most siginificantly downregulated gene in the hippocampus of SD rats with CUMS compared to non-stressed group, which was validated by qRT-PCR. HCRT mRNA expression was downregulated and the promoter for HCRT was hyper-methylated in those with depression. These results identified a critical role for chronic psychological stressors in tumorigenesis and cancer progression, via epigenetic HCRT downregulation. | 5 | Temporal and spatial analysis of changes in snow cover in western Sichuan based on MODIS images显示文摘We developed a method for analyzing the change in snow cover using MODIS imagery.The method was applied to images of western Sichuan Province,China taken between 2002 and 2008.The model for extracting data on snow cover from MODIS images was created by spectral analysis.The multi-temporal snow layers were used to evaluate the temporal and spatial change in the area under snow cover between 2002 and 2008 using overlay and statistical analysis in ARCGIS.The majority(60.4%) of western Sichuan was rarely covered by snow and only 0.3% was covered by perennial snow in 2002.Snow cover was pri-marily distributed in Garzê and Aba.The area under snow cover was significantly and negatively correlated with the average monthly temperature and rainfall in 2002.The largest area under snow cover was measured in 2006 and the smallest was in 2007.Similarly,the area of snowmelt was the highest in 2006 and lowest in 2007.In general,the elevation of the snow line in-creased throughout the period 2002-2008;however,the elevation decreased in some years.Our results provide an important insight into the distribution of snow in this region,and may be useful for climate modeling and predicting the availability of water resources and the occurrence of floods and droughts. | YANG CunJian ZHAO ZiJian NI Jing REN XiaoLan WANG Qin | 2012 | Science China Earth Sciences2012，55，8： | 2 |

| 8 | Inhibition of aberrant Hif1αactivation delays intervertebral disc degeneration in adult mice显示文摘The intervertebral disc(IVD) is the largest avascular tissue. Hypoxia-inducible factors(HIFs) play essential roles in regulating cellular adaptation in the IVD under physiological conditions. Disc degeneration disease(DDD) is one of the leading causes of disability, and current therapies are ineffective. This study sought to explore the role of HIFs in DDD pathogenesis in mice. The findings of this study showed that among HIF family members, Hif1α was significantly upregulated in cartilaginous endplate(EP) and annulus fibrosus(AF) tissues from human DDD patients and two mouse models of DDD compared with controls. Conditional deletion of the E3 ubiquitin ligase Vhl in EP and AF tissues of adult mice resulted in upregulated Hif1α expression and age-dependent IVD degeneration. Aberrant Hif1α activation enhanced glycolytic metabolism and suppressed mitochondrial function. On the other hand, genetic ablation of the Hif1α gene delayed DDD pathogenesis in Vhl-deficient mice. Administration of 2-methoxyestradiol(2ME2), a selective Hif1α inhibitor, attenuated experimental IVD degeneration in mice.
