1Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis of essential oils from five parts of Chaihu(Radix Bupleuri Chinensis)显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To analyze the essential oils from flowers, leaves, stems, roots, and fruits of Chaihu(Radix Bupleuri Chinensis).METHODS: We extracted essential oils from different parts of Chaihu(Radix Bupleuri Chinensis) using a steam distillation method. The essential oils were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS). Data were collected in full scan mode(m/z 60-600). Volatile components were identified based on their retention indices and by comparing their mass spectra with those in the National Institute of Standards and Technology 2005 database assisted by tandem mass spectrometry information. The relative content of each constituent wasdetermined by area normalization.RESULTS: We identified 111 components, of which12 were common to all 5 parts, 30 were found only in roots, 14 were found only in flowers, 6 were found only in leaves, 4 were found only in stems,and 17 were found only in fruits.CONCLUSION: Our results show that the stems,flowers, leaves, and fruits of Chaihu(Radix Bupleuri Chinensis)contain a high concentration of essential oils, and that the exact composition of the essential oils differs among the plant parts. To develop new medicines and make full use of the Chaihu(Radix Bupleuri Chinensis)resource, it is important to characterize the essential oils from different parts of the plant. 6Synthesis and characterization of magnesium hydroxide by batch reaction crystallization显示文摘Magnesium hydroxide with high purity and uniform particle size distribution was synthesized by the direct precipitation method using MgCl_(2) and NaOH as reactive materials and NaCl as additive to improve the crystallization behavior of the product.The particle size distribution,crystal phase,morphology,and surface area of magnesium hydroxide were characterized by Malvern laser particle size analyzer,X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscope(SEM)and Branauer-Emmett-Teller(BET)method,respectively.The purity of products was analyzed by the chemical method.The effects of synthesis conditions on the particle size distribution and water content(filtration cake)of magnesium hydroxide were investigated.The results indicated that feeding mode and rate,and reaction temperature had important effects on water content and the particle size distribution of the product,and sodium chloride improved the crystallization behavior of magnesium hydroxide.The ball-like magne-sium hydroxides with the particle size distribution of 6.0–30.0μm and purity higher than 99.0%were obtained.This simple and mild synthesis method was promising to be scaled up for the industrial production of magnesium hydroxide.Xingfu SONG Shuying SUN Dengke ZHANG Jin WANG Jianguo YU 2011Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2011,5,4:4

15A Cell-Anchored and Self-Calibrated DNA Nanoplatform for in Situ Imaging and Quantification of Endogenous MicroRNA in Live Cells:Introducing Two Controls to Normalize the Sensing Signals显示文摘Quantifying the microRNAs(miRNAs)levels in living cells,while essential for the study of fundamental biology and medical diagnostics,has barely been achieved due to insufficient probe delivery and unquantifiable signals.We report a cell-anchored and self-calibrated DNA nanoplatform,a cholesterol-headed DNA nanowire that is capable of efficiently delivering to various cells and simultaneously detecting two target miRNAs.One miRNA target can be utilized as an endogenous control against cell-to-cell variations.Moreover,the photocleavable linkers inserted in the nanostructures allow us to precisely regulate the probe structure and fluorescence signaling at the desired time and location in vivo.As a second control,the maximum fluorescence can be elicited by UV light,which further facilitates the normalization of the absolute fluorescence signal.With two introduced internal controls,the maximum fluorescence and endogenous control gene,this approach displays excellent stability and self-calibration performance,effectively avoiding the interference from operating conditions and cellto-cell variations,such as the laser powers and intracellular probe concentrations.Importantly,this design is capable of unifying the output signal intensity between in vitro test and cell imaging,making the in vitro linear calibration curve appropriate for the quantification of miRNA expression in living cells.Wenjuan Song Zhi-Ling Song Qian Li Chengwen Shang Qiqi Chao Xingfu Liu Rongmei Kong Gao-Chao Fan Xiliang Luo 2023CCS Chemistry2023,5,1:0
