| 1 | Microstructural Evolution of 6061 Alloy during Isothermal Heat Treatment显示文摘The semi-solid billet of 6061 aluminum alloy was prepared by the near-liquidus semi-continuous casting(LSC) with rosette or near-spheroide grains.The pre-deformation processing was applied before partial remelting to further improve the microstructure and properties of the semi-solid alloy.The effects of different processing parameters,such as holding temperature and holding time,on the semisolid microstructures during partial remelting have been investigated.It was found that the optimal partial remelting parameters should be 630℃ and 10-15 min for 6061 alloy cold rolled with 60% reduction in height of pre-deformation.The coarsening rates were anasysed by Lifshitz-Slyozov-Wagner(LSW) theory.The pre-deformed 6061 alloy exhibits lower coarsening rate constants than that of the as-cast one,and also lower than other alloys processed by different method found in previous literature.It is because the coarsening rate is associated with the initial microstructure and composition of the alloy.The secondary phases in the alloy inhibit the migration of the liquid film grain boundaries.The microstructure obtained by using the combination of near-liquidus semicontinuous casting and pre-deformation treatment is better than that without pre-deformation processing,which demonstrates that the used method is promising for fabricating high quality semi-solid alloys. | Na Wang Zhimin Zhou Guimin Lu | 2011 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2011,27,1: | 11 |

| 3 | Semi-solid extrusion of aluminum alloy ZL116显示文摘The semi-solid forward-extruding feasibility of reheated ZL116 alloy cast by the near-liquidus semi-continuous casting process was studied by analyzing the microstructures and properties of forward-extruded bars. The results show that the microstructure of the ZL116 alloy billets cast by near-liquidus semi-continuous casting is mainly made up of homogeneous, fine global-or rosette-shaped grains. The microstructure of the billets, reheated and held at 575℃, contains stable and net-spherical grains which are suitable for semi-solid thixoforming. The semi-solid forward-extruded bars of the ZL116 alloy billet are facially smooth, microstructurally fine and homogeneous. | 4 | Microstructures of an AlSi_7Mg alloy by near-liquidus casting显示文摘Semi-solid ingots of an AlSi7Mg alloy were obtained using the method of near liquidus casting. Their micro- structures exhibit the characteristics of fine, equiaxed, and non-dendrite, which are required for semi-solid forming. The in- fluences of casting temperature, heat preservation time, and cooling rate on the microstructure were also investigated. The results show that in the temperature region near liquidus the grain size becomes small with a decrease in casting temperature. Prolonging the heat preservation time makes grain crassitude at the same temperature. And increasing the cooling rate makes grain fine. | 5 | Influence of NO2^- on the Microscopic Structure and Physical Properties of the Binary Nitrate Salts: a Molecular Dynamics Simulation Study显示文摘Molecular dynamics simulation method was used to study the influence of NO2^- on both the structure and properties of the binary nitrate salts(60 wt.% NaNO3 + 40 wt.% KNO3). The density and viscosity of the mixtures were experimentally measured and the simulation results met well with the experimental ones. The simulation results showed that, with the addition of NO2^-, the ionic clusters tended to loose and the mobilities of all the ions tended to increase. The density, viscosity, and heat capacity decreased while the thermal conductivity increased with the increase of NO2^- concentration. | 6 | Theoretical prediction on the local structure and transport properties of molten alkali chlorides by deep potentials显示文摘In this work,the local structure and transport properties of three typical alkali chlorides(LiCl,NaCl,and KCl)were investigated by our newly trained deep potentials(DPs).We extracted datasets from ab initio molecular dynamics(AIMD)calculations and used these to train and validate the DPs.Large-scale and long-time molecular dynamics simulations were performed over a wider range of temperatures than AIMD to confirm the reliability and generality of the DPs.We demonstrated that the generated DPs can serve as a powerful tool for simulating alkali chlorides;the DPs also provide results with accuracy that is comparable to that of AIMD and efficiency that is similar to that of empirical potentials.The partial radial distribution functions and angle distribution functions predicted using the DPs are in close agreement with those derived from AIMD.The estimated densities,self-diffusion coefficients,shear viscosities,and electrical conductivities also matched well with the AIMD and experimental data.This work provides confidence that DPs can be used to explore other systems,including mixtures of chlorides or entirely different salts. | Wenshuo Liang Guimin Lu Jianguo Yu | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,16: | 2 |

| 15 | Rationalizing the isolation distance needed for field trials involving genetically modified rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) in China显示文摘The isolation distance required for field trials of genetically modified (GM) rapeseed varies widely worldwide, with a 50-400 m distance in most nations contrasting with a minimum 1000-m isolation distance in China. The goal of this study was to evaluate the relevance of current regulations in China regarding the isolation distance needed for GM rapeseed trials. A pollen flow experiment was conducted based on the design of concentric circles, with the GM plants in a 20-m diameter circle at the centre, surrounded by non-GM plants to a distance 60 m from the perimeter of the circle containing GM plants. The rate of pollen flow was the highest at the isolation distance of 0.5 m, where it ranged from 2.3091% to 2.6711%. The general pattern of the pollen flow rate (y) with distance (x) was well described by the equation y = 1.3936x-0.9136 (R 2 = 0.9950). The long-distance pollen flow tested at the isolation distance of 800 m was 0.0018%, which agrees with the theoretical prediction. | 20 | Novel strategy for disease risk prediction incorporating predicted gene expression and DNA methylation data:a multi-phased study of prostate cancer显示文摘Background:DNA methylation and gene expression are known to play important roles in the etiology of human diseases such as prostate cancer(PCa).However,it has not yet been possible to incorporate information of DNA methylation and gene expression into polygenic risk scores(PRSs).Here,we aimed to develop and validate an improved PRS for PCa risk by incorporating genetically predicted gene expression and DNA methylation,and other genomic information using an integrative method.Methods:Using data from the PRACTICAL consortium,we derived multiple sets of genetic scores,including those based on available single-nucleotide polymorphisms through widely used methods of pruning and thresholding,LDpred,LDpred-funt,AnnoPred,and EBPRS,as well as PRS constructed using the genetically predicted gene expression and DNA methylation through a revised pruning and thresholding strategy.In the tuning step,using the UK Biobank data(1458 prevalent cases and 1467 controls),we selected PRSs with the best performance.Using an independent set of data from the UK Biobank,we developed an integrative PRS combining information from individual scores.Furthermore,in the testing step,we tested the performance of the integrative PRS in another independent set of UK Biobank data of incident cases and controls.Results:Our constructed PRS had improved performance(C statistics:76.1%)over PRSs constructed by individual benchmark methods(from 69.6%to 74.7%).Furthermore,our new PRS had much higher risk assessment power than family history.The overall net reclassification improvement was 69.0%by adding PRS to the baseline model compared with 12.5%by adding family history.Conclusions:We developed and validated a new PRS which may improve the utility in predicting the risk of developing PCa.Our innovative method can also be applied to other human diseases to improve risk prediction across multiple outcomes. | Chong Wu Jingjing Zhu Austin King Xiaoran Tong Qing Lu Jong Y.Park Liang Wang Guimin Gao Hong-Wen Deng Yaohua Yang Karen E.Knudsen Timothy R.Rebbeck Jirong Long Wei Zheng Wei Pan David V.Conti Christopher A Haiman Lang Wu | 2021 | Cancer Communications2021,41,12: | 0 |
