1Three dimensional shear wave velocity structure of the crust and upper mantle beneath China from ambient noise surface wave tomography显示文摘We determine the three-dimensional shear wave velocity structure of the crust and upper mantle in China using Green's functions obtained from seismic ambient noise cross-correlation.The data we use are from the China National Seismic Network,global and regional networks and PASSCAL stations in the region.We first acquire cross-correlation seismograms between all possible station pairs.We then measure the Rayleigh wave group and phase dispersion curves using a frequency-time analysis method from 8 s to 60 s.After that,Rayleigh wave group and phase velocity dispersion maps on 1° by 1° spatial grids are obtained at different periods.Finally,we invert these maps for the 3-D shear wave velocity structure of the crust and upper mantle beneath China at each grid node.The inversion results show large-scale structures that correlate well with surface geology.Near the surface,velocities in major basins are anomalously slow,consistent with the thick sediments.East-west contrasts are striking in Moho depth.There is also a fast mid-to-lower crust and mantle lithosphere beneath the major basins surrounding the Tibetan plateau (TP) and Tianshan (Junggar,Tarim,Ordos,and Sichuan).These strong blocks,therefore,appear to play an important role in confining the deformation of the TP and constraining its geometry to form its current triangular shape.In northwest TP in Qiangtang,slow anomalies extend from the crust to the mantle lithosphere.Meanwhile,widespread,a prominent low-velocity zone is observed in the middle crust beneath most of the central,eastern and southeastern Tibetan plateau,consistent with a weak (and perhaps mobile) middle crust.Xinlei Sun Xiaodong Song Sihua Zheng Yingjie Yang Michael H. 3Morphological Engineering of Sensing Materials for Flexible Pressure Sensors and Artificial Intelligence Applications显示文摘As an indispensable branch of wearable electronics,flexible pressure sensors are gaining tremendous attention due to their extensive applications in health monitoring,human-machine interaction,artificial intelligence,the internet of things,and other fields.In recent years,highly flexible and wearable pressure sensors have been developed using various materials/structures and transduction mechanisms.Morphological engineering of sensing materials at the nanometer and micrometer scales is crucial to obtaining superior sensor performance.This review focuses on the rapid development of morphological engineering technologies for flexible pressure sensors.We discuss different architectures and morphological designs of sensing materials to achieve high performance,including high sensitivity,broad working range,stable sensing,low hysteresis,high transparency,and directional or selective sensing.Additionally,the general fabrication techniques are summarized,including self-assembly,patterning,and auxiliary synthesis methods.Furthermore,we present the emerging applications of high-performing microengineered pressure sensors in healthcare,smart homes,digital sports,security monitoring,and machine learning-enabled computational sensing platform.Finally,the potential challenges and prospects for the future developments of pressure sensors are discussed comprehensively.Zhengya Shi Lingxian Meng Xinlei Shi Hongpeng Li Juzhong Zhang Qingqing Sun Xuying Liu Jinzhou Chen Shuiren Liu 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,9:5
4Major Miocene geological events in southern Tibet and eastern Asia induced by the subduction of the Ninetyeast Ridge显示文摘Cenozoic adakitic rocks in the Gangdese changed from barren continental melts to ore-forming slab melts at * 23 Ma. The distribution and chemical characteristics of the ore-forming adakites point to an association with the Ninetyeast Ridge. 5Temporal–spatial distribution and diastereoisomer pattern of hexabromocyclododecane in the vicinity of a chemical plant显示文摘Hexabromocyclododecane(HBCD) is an effective brominated flame-retardant additive, which is mainly produced in the coastal area of China. This study collected soil samples from a HBCD production plant and its surrounding area in Weifang, Shandong Province, China, and analyzed the temporal–spatial distribution of HBCD and its diastereoisomers in soil. The analysis results showed that the concentration of HBCD in soil near the plant was much higher than normal values, with an annual average concentration reaching 5405 ng/g. Soils 1,2 and 4 km away from the plant were also analyzed, showing that the concentration of HBCD in soil decreased accordingly with the distance from the pollution sources. In order to investigate the effect of the season on HBCD content, the soil samples were collected in all four seasons of the year 2017–2018. According to variations in the wind direction, the concentration of HBCD in soil was also changed. The distribution trend showed that the concentration of HBCD in soil in the downwind direction of the prevailing wind was higher than that in the upwind direction. In addition, this work analyzed the distribution of HBCD in vertical soil sections. It was found that the concentration of HBCD decreased with depth in the soil vertical profile. 6QTL mapping and QTL × environment interaction analysis of multi-seed pod in cultivated peanut(Arachis hypogaea L.)显示文摘To dissect the genetic mechanism of multi-seed pod in peanut, we explored the QTL/gene controlling multi-seed pod and analyzed the interaction effect of QTL and environment. Two hundred and forty eight recombinant inbred lines(RIL) from cross Silihong × Jinonghei 3 were used as experimental materials planted in 8 environments from 2012 to 2017. Three methods of analysis were performed. These included individual environment analysis, joint analysis in multiple environments, and epistatic interaction analysis for multi-seed pod QTL. Phenotypic data and best linear unbiased prediction(BLUP) value of the ratio of multi-seed pods per plant(RMSP) were used for QTL mapping. Seven QTL detected by the individual environmental mapping analysis and were distributed on linkage groups 1, 6, 9, 14, 19(2), and 21. Each QTL explained 4.42%–11.51% of the phenotypic variation in multi-seed pod, and synergistic alleles of5 QTL were from the Silihong parent. One QTL, explaining 4.93% of the phenotypic variation was detected using BLUP data, and this QTL mapped in the same interval as q RMSP19.1 detected in the individual environment analysis. Seventeen additive QTL were identified by joint analysis across multiple environments. A total of 43 epistatic QTL were detected by ICIM-EPI mapping in the multiple environment trials(MET) module, and involved 57 loci. Two main-effect QTL related to multi-seed pod in peanut were filtered. We also found that RMSP had a highly significant positive correlation with pod yield per plant(PY), and epistatic effects were much more important than additive effects. 9Development and validation of an emergency bloodstream infection score for predicting in-hospital mortality in patients with community-acquired bloodstream infections显示文摘BACKGROUND:Community-acquired bloodstream infections(CABSIs)are common in the emergency departments,and some progress to sepsis and even lead to death.However,limited information is available regarding the prediction of patients with high risk of death.METHODS:The Emergency Bloodstream Infection Score(EBS)for CABSIs was developed to visualize the output of a logistic regression model and was validated by the area under the curve(AUC).The Mortality in Emergency Department Sepsis(MEDS),Pitt Bacteremia Score(PBS),Sequential Organ Failure Assessment(SOFA),quick Sequential Organ Failure Assessment(qSOFA),Charlson Comorbidity Index(CCI),and McCabe–Jackson Comorbid Classification(MJCC)for patients with CABSIs were computed to compare them with EBS in terms of the AUC and decision curve analysis(DCA).The net reclassification improvement(NRI)index and integrated discrimination improvement(IDI)index were compared between the SOFA and EBS.RESULTS:A total of 547 patients with CABSIs were included.The AUC(0.853)of the EBS was larger than those of the MEDS,PBS,SOFA,and qSOFA(all P<0.001).The NRI index of EBS in predicting the in-hospital mortality of CABSIs patients was 0.368(P=0.04),and the IDI index was 0.079(P=0.03).DCA showed that when the threshold probability was<0.1,the net benefit of the EBS model was higher than those of the other models.CONCLUSION:The EBS prognostic models were better than the SOFA,qSOFA,MEDS,and PBS models in predicting the in-hospital mortality of patients with CABSIs.Xinlei Wang Yao Sun Xiaoyu Ni Shu Zhang 2023World Journal of Emergency Medicine2023,14,4:2
10Topography effect on ambient noise tomography using a dense seismic array显示文摘With the rapid increase of dense seismic array deployment, more and more ambient noise studies have been applied on short period surface waves tomography. For arrays with inter-station distance of several hundred meters,the effect of surface topography has to be considered. In this study, we investigate topography effect on ambient noise surface wave tomography using synthetic data from different topographic models. Our travel times are synthetized considering surface topography, and shear wave inversions are performed by incorporating and not incorporating topography respectively. Our inversion results suggest that topography does affect subsurface shear wave velocity inversion. If topography is not considered, although the pattern of the structure may be recovered reasonably well, the depth distribution of velocity structure can be distorted. The maximum distortion depth is generally correlated with the relief of the topography and the amplitude of the velocity anomalies. Finally, our example of real data inversion in a mountain area demonstrates good correlation between shear velocity and the geological settings, as well as the core sample in that area.Shuang Wang Xinlei Sun 2018Earthquake Science2018,31,5:1
11Origin of ULVZs near the African LLSVP: Implications from their distribution and characteristics显示文摘Ultra-low velocity zones(ULVZs)provide important information on the composition and dynamics of the core-mantle boundary(CMB).However,their global distribution and characteristics are not well constrained,especially near African large low-shear velocity provinces(LLSVPs).Here,we used ScS precursor(SdS)and postcursor(ScscS)phases recorded by various seismic networks in Africa and South America to investigate the ULVZ characteristics underlying the South Atlantic Ocean.We found no evidence of ULVZs near the SE boundary of South America,but an ULVZ was found within the SW boundary of the African LLSVP,with thicknesses ranging from 11–18 km and reductions in S-wave velocities of 18%–34%.Our results,combined with the global distribution of ULVZs,suggest that thermal activity may be essential to ULVZ formation.Moreover,subducted slab and mantle flow may also play a key role,depending on the location of the ULVZs.An Fan Xinlei Sun 2021Earthquake Science2021,34,4:1

13DeceFL:a principled fully decentralized federated learning framework显示文摘Traditional machine learning relies on a centralized data pipeline for model training in various applications;however,data are inherently fragmented.Such a decentralized nature of databases presents the serious challenge for collaboration:sending all decentralized datasets to a central server raises serious privacy concerns.Although there has been a joint effort in tackling such a critical issue by proposing privacy-preserving machine learning frameworks,such as federated learning,most state-of-the-art frameworks are built still in a centralized way,in which a central client is needed for collecting and distributing model information(instead of data itself)from every other client,leading to high communication burden and high vulnerability when there exists a failure at or an attack on the central client.Here we propose a principled decentralized federated learning algorithm(DeceFL),which does not require a central client and relies only on local information transmission between clients and their neighbors,representing a fully decentralized learning framework.It has been further proven that every client reaches the global minimum with zero performance gap and achieves the same convergence rate O(1=T)(where T is the number of iterations in gradient descent)as centralized federated learning when the loss function is smooth and strongly convex.Finally,the proposed algorithm has been applied to a number of applications to illustrate its effectiveness for both convex and nonconvex loss functions,time-invariant and time-varying topologies,as well as IID and Non-IID of datasets,demonstrating its applicability to a wide range of real-world medical and industrial applications.Ye Yuan Jun Liu Dou Jin Zuogong Yue Tao Yang Ruijuan Chen Maolin Wang Chuan Sun Lei Xu Feng Hua Yuqi Guo Xiuchuan Tang Xin He Xinlei Yi Dong Li Guanghui Wen Wenwu Yu Hai-Tao Zhang Tianyou Chai Shaochun Sui Han Ding 2023National Science Open2023,2,1:1

15Transient Simulation and Optimization of Regional Integrated Energy System显示文摘A modeling method of regional integrated energy system based on bus method and transient simulation is proposed,and the system optimization is based on the dynamic balance of supply and demand in the whole year energy supply cycle.A CCHP systemof gas turbine coupled with ground source heat pump and electric refrigeration unit is constructed.The energy relationship of the systemis described by bus structure,and the transient calculationmodel is built on TRNSYS platform.The weighted sum of annual total cost saving rate,primary energy saving rate and environmental pollutant shadow cost saving rate is taken as the optimized objective function,and on the basis of annual dynamic balance,the Hooke-Jeeves algorithm is used for optimization of the system configuration.A complex commercial area in Beijing is taken as an example,and different weighting coefficients are set for optimization of the system configuration.The results show that,from the perspective of economy,environmental benefit and primary energy consumption,performance of the system increases and then decreases with rise of gas turbine power;under the simulated cooling/heating load,the maximum number of optimum configuration is seen in the combination of 35 kW gas turbine+723 kW GSHP and 1178 kW electric chiller;in comparison with traditional distributed system,the annual cost saving rate,primary energy saving rate and environmental pollutant shadow cost saving rate of the system are 29.4%,49.6%and 58.2%,respectively.Xueqin Tian Mengran Cui Tong Xu Jinfei Sun Xinlei Wang Jiangxiang Guo De-Gejirifu Na Wang 2022Energy Engineering2022,119,3:0
16Acquisition of a novel conjugative multidrug-resistant hypervirulent plasmid leads to hypervirulence in clinical carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae strains显示文摘The co-occurrence of plasmid-mediated multidrug resistance and hypervirulence in epidemic carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae has emerged as a global public health issue.In this study,an ST23 carbapenem-resistant hyper-virulent K.pneumoniae(CR-HvKP)strain VH1-2 was identified from cucumber in China and harbored a novel hybrid plasmid pVH1-2-VIR.The plasmid pVH1-2-VIR carrying both virulence and multidrug-resistance(MDR)genes was likely generated through the recombination of a virulence plasmid and an IncFIIK conjugative MDR plasmid in clinical ST2318622 isolated from a sputum sample.The plasmid pVH1-2-VIR exhibited the capacity for transfer to the clinical ST11 carbapenem-resistant K.pneumoniae(CRKP)strain via conjugation assay.Acquisition of pVH1-2-VIR plasmid directly converted a CRKP into CR-HvKP strain characterized by hypermucoviscosity,heightened virulence for Galleria mellonella larvae,and increased colonization ability in the mouse intestine.The emergence of such a hybrid plasmid may expedite the spread of CR-HvKP strains,posing a significant risk to human health.Gong Li Ling Jia Lei Wan Lijuan Xia Ang Gao Runshi Yang Ruanyang Sun Minge Wang Juan Du Xinlei Lian Rongmin Zhang Liangxing Fang Xiaoping Liao Yahong Liu Bao-Tao Liu Jian Sun 2023mLife2023,2,3:0
17Efficient Preparation of Nanoparticle-Reinforced Nickel-based Composite Coating with Highly Preferred(220)Orientation显示文摘Nanoparticle-reinforced metal matrix composite coatings have significant potential in mechanical part surface strengthening owing their excellent mechanical properties.This paper reports a phenomenon in which the grain orientation gradually evolves to(220)as the deposition current density increases when preparing nanoparticle-reinforced nickel-based composite coatings through jet electrodeposition(JED).During the preparation of the Ni-SiC composite coatings,the deposition current density increased from 180 A/dm2 to 220 A/dm2,and TC(220)gradually increase from 41.4%to 97.7%.With an increase of TC(220),the self-corrosion potential increases from−0.575 to−0.477 V,the corrosion current density decreases from 9.52μA/cm^2 to 2.76μA/cm^2,the diameter of the corrosion pits that after 10 days of immersion in a 3.5 wt%NaCl solution decreases from 278–944 nm to 153–260 nm,and the adhesion of the coating increases from 24.9 N to 61.6 N.Compared a conventional electrodeposition(CED),the Ni-SiC composite coating using JED has the advantages of a smooth surface morphology,high corrosion resistance,and strong adhesion,which are more obvious with an increase in TC(220).Renjie Ji Hui Jin Yonghong Liu Tiancong Dong Fan Zhang Lilong Zhao Xinlei Wu Qiang Sun Peng Liu Hang Dong Chi Ma Dege Li Baoping Cai 2020Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2020,33,6:0
18Dynamic Simulation and Performance Analysis on Multi-Energy Coupled CCHP System显示文摘Although the Combined Cooing,Heating and Power System(hereinafter referred to as“CCHP”)improves the capacity utilization rate and energy utilization efficiency,single use of CCHP system cannot realize dynamic matching between supply and demand loads due to the unbalance features of the user’s cooling and heating loads.On the basis of user convenience and wide applicability of clean air energy,this paper tries to put forward a coupled CCHP system with combustion gas turbine and ASHP ordered power by heat,analyze trends of such parameters as gas consumption and power consumption of heat pump in line with adjustment of heating load proportion of combustion gas turbine,and optimize the system ratio in the method of annual costs and energy environmental benefit assessment.Based on the analysis of the hourly simulation and matching characteristics of the cold and hot load of the 100 thousand square meter building,it is found that the annual cost of the air source heat pump is low,but the energy and environmental benefits are poor.It will lead to 6.35%shortage of cooling load in summer.Combined with the evaluation method of primary energy consumption and zero carbon dioxide emission,the coupling system of CHHP and air source heat pump with 41%gas turbine load ratio is the best configuration.This system structure and optimization method can provide some reference for the development of CCHP coupling system.Xueqin Tian Jinfei Sun Tong Xu Mengran Cui Xinlei Wang Jianxiang Guo De-gejirifu Na Wang 2022Energy Engineering2022,119,2:0
19Sodium acetate can promote the growth and astaxanthin accumulation in the unicellular green alga Haematococcus pluvialis as revealed by a proteomics approach显示文摘Haematococcus pluvialis is an ideal natural source of strong antioxidant astaxanthin.Sodium acetate(NaAc)was proven an effective organic carbon source for improving algal growth and astaxanthin production;however,the underlying mechanism remains obscure.To reveal the mechanism of NaAc at the green vegetative stage of H.pluvialis,the physiochemical characteristics and the global protein expression profiles obtained using a tandem mass tag labeling approach were compared between the control(CK)and two NaAc-addition groups.Results show that after NaAc addition,the biomass,nitrate consumption rate,and activities of three carbohydrate metabolism enzymes of H.pluvialis were significantly increased,and the net photosynthetic rate and chlorophyll content decreased.In addition,astaxanthin,total carbohydrates,and total lipids were accumulated,and some red cells appeared in the NaAc5 group.Moreover,317 differentially expressed proteins(DEPs)with the most altered expression patterns were screened out in the CK vs.NaAc5 comparison in our proteomics study.All the DEPs involved in carbohydrate metabolism and lipid metabolism were significantly increased,while most of the photosynthesis-related proteins were depressed in the two NaAc-treated groups.The proteomics results were verified and supported by parallel reaction monitoring approach and physiochemical data.Our findings demonstrate that NaAc promoted the tricarboxylic acid cycle,glyoxylate cycle,and amino acid and lipid synthesis,and inhibited the photo synthe sis-related activities,which consequently speeded up the growth and astaxanthin accumulation in this alga.Xinlei YU Xin YE Chaoyang HU Nianjun XU Xue SUN 2022Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2022,40,5:0
