Crustal structure of the northwestern sub-basin, South China Sea: Results from a wide-angle seismic experiment显示文摘The crustal structure of the northwestern sub-basin area of the South China Sea was modeled by inverting a wide-angle seismic survey line across the entire region and on both sides of its bounding continental margins. The survey line extended over 484 km. A total of 14 Ocean Bottom Seismometers (OBS) were deployed at intervals of 30 km to record air-gun array sources with a combined volume of 5160 in 3 . The crustal velocity structure of the northwestern sub-basin area was acquired through the integration of multi-channel seismic data. OBS data were processed and modeled initially using ray tracing inversion techniques. Results indicate that crustal thickness under the continental slope decreases from 21 to 11 km, crustal thickness of the northwestern sub-basin is 7.7 km, and the depth to the Moho ascends from 21 km under the upper continental slope to 11 km under the middle basin. The crust of the northwestern sub-basin is similar to that of the eastern sub-basin in its oceanic crustal structure. This structure has a thicker layer 1 (sedimentary layer) and a thinner layer 2. These characteristics are especially clear in the eastern sub-basin, which differs somewhat from typical oceanic crust. The tectonic geometry and velocity structure of the northwestern sub-basin and its margins comprise a symmetrical conjugate and indicate a pure shear mode with regard to the continental margin rifting mechanism. We did not find clear seismic signals from high velocity layers under the lower crust of the continental margin in the northern part of the northwestern sub-basin, which provides new evidence for the idea that the western part of the northern continental margin of the South China Sea constitutes nonvolcanic crust. Because the seafloor spreading period of the northwestern sub-basin was short, layer 2 might have experienced asymmetrical basalt magma flows, which may have blurred the magnetic anomaly lineations of the northwestern sub-basin. | WU ZhenLi LI JiaBiao RUAN AiGuo LOU Hai DING WeiWei NIU XiongWei LI XiBing | 2012 | Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,1: | 19

Devonian Frasnian-Famennian transitional event deposits of Guangxi, South China and their possible tsunami origin显示文摘A suite of event deposits, isochronous and interrelated in origin, occurs widely near the Frasnian- Famennian boundary in Guangxi, South China. It is mainly distributed in the facies areas of the platform-margin slope and inter-platform rift-trough. The rudstone or calcirudite occur in the Liujing section of Hengxian and Luoxiu and Baqi sections of Xiangzhou in the facies area of platform-margin slope. The turbidites are observed in the sections of Yangdi and Baisha of Guilin, Du'an of Debao, Nandong and Sanli of Wuxuan, Xiangtian, Ma'anshan of Xiangzhou, Nayi of Chongzuo, Yunpan of Shanglin in the facies area of inter-platform rift-trough. The massive homogenites occur in sections of Mangchang, Luofu and Road from Nandan to Tian'e and Ma'anshan etc in the facies area of inter-platform rift-trough. Herein event deposits can be correlated in stratohorizon to the turbidite in the bottom of the Lower triangularis Zone in Hony railroad cut of Belgium, Devils Gate of Nevada, USA, Atrous of Morocco, South Urals and Fore-Kolyma of northeastern Siberia of Russia, and erosional discontinuities and brecciation in the Frasnian-Famennian boundary in South Polish-Moravian shelf. The event deposits could be caused by a violent tsunami related to bolide impacts into ocean. | DU YuanSheng GONG YiMing ZENG XiongWei HUANG HongWei YANG JiangHai ZHANG Zhe HUANG ZhiQiang | 2008 | Science China Earth Sciences2008,51,11: | 6
Thermostability of Subtilisin Nattokinase Obtained by Site-Directed Mutagenesis显示文摘To study the thermostability of Nattokinase(subtilisin NAT,NK),three double mutant plasmids(pET-28a-NKG61C/S98C,pET-28a-NKT22C/S87C,pET-28a-NKS24C/S87C)were constructed by site-directed mutagenesis.Target enzymes were detected using SDS-PAGE and disulfide bond formation was detected using Western blotting analysis.Thermostability was tested by rates of inactivation at certain temperature. The results showed that disulfide bond was not formed within two cysteines and the thermostability of three double mutants was not increased compared with the wild-type NK.The thermostability of NK performed in Ca2+was stronger than in ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid(EDTA).But when the temperature reached 62℃,the enzymes rapidly denatured and inactivated even in the presence of Ca2+.Although the thermostability of mutants was not increased, this study shows a tendency of improving thermostability of NK in protein engineering. | WENG Meizhi DENG Xiongwei WU Jieyuan ZOU Guolin | 2014 | Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences2014,19,3: | 6
Single channel speech enhancement via time-frequency dictionary learning显示文摘A time-frequency dictionary learning approach is proposed to enhance speech contaminated by additive nonstationary noise. In this framework,a time-frequency dictionary which is learned from noise data is incorporated into the convolutive nonnegative matrix factorization framework. The update rules for the time-varying gains and speech dictionary are derived by precomputing the noise dictionary. The magnitude spectra of speech are estimated using convolution operation between the learned speech dictionary and the time-varying gains. Finally, noise is removed via binary time-frequency masking. The experimental results indicate that the proposed scheme gives better enhancement results in terms of quality measures of speech. Moreover, the proposed algorithm outperforms the multiband spectra subtraction and the non-negative sparse coding based noise reduction algorithm in nonstationary noise conditions. | HUANG Jianjun ZHANG Xiongwei ZHANG Yafei ZOU Xia | 2013 | Chinese Journal of Acoustics2013,32,1: | 6

Sources and Accumulation Risk of Heavy Metal in Major Animal Manure显示文摘Feed and corresponding manure samples were collected from 27 scale pig farms and 7 scale chicken farms in Jiaxing City,Zhejiang Province, and their heavy metal contents were analyzed. The weighted average values of Cr,Cu,Zn,Pb and As in pig feed were 4. 6,123. 4,370. 7,0. 69 and 6. 9 mg/kg,respectively. However, referred to Safe Use Specification of Feed Additives and MOA Announcement No. 1224,the exceeding standards rates of Cr,Cu,Zn,Pb and As in pig feed were 5. 36%,62. 5%,19. 64%,3. 57% and 37. 5%,respectively. The sequences of heavy metal content in pig feed successively were piglet > growing pig > big pig > sow,but the exceeding standard rates of heavy metal in feed were big pig > sow > growing pig > piglet, and the exceeding standard rate of big pig feed was more than 95%. The exceeding standard rates of Cu,Zn and As in chicken feed were 46. 7%,11. 1% and 33. 3% respectively. Based on Organic Fertilizer( NY525-2012) and Sludge Agricultural Pollution Control Standard( GB4284-84),Cu,Zn and As in pig manure and chicken manure exceeded the standard; the exceeding standard rates of pig manure were 71. 9%,78. 9% and 42. 1%,while that of chicken manure were 12. 5%,25. 0% and 44. 4%,respectively. The exceeding standard rates of Cu and Zn in piglet manure reached 100%. There were very significant positive correlations in Cu,Zn and As between pig feed and corresponding manure,or Hg,Cu and As between chicken feed and corresponding manure, and the correlation coefficients r^2 were greater than 0. 8. Besides, the correlation coefficient r^2 of Pb between pig feed and corresponding manure was above 0. 6. Continuous and high intensity of livestock manure application significantly promoted the accumulation of heavy metal in farmland soil, but the effects on heavy metal accumulation in rice was not significant. | Shi Yanping Huang Jinfa Ni Xiongwei Xie Jianping Ren Jiajia | 2016 | Animal Husbandry and Feed Science2016,8,6: | 4
A Virulent PEDV Strain FJzz1 with Genomic Mutations and Deletions at the High Passage Level Was Attenuated in Piglets via Serial Passage In Vitro显示文摘Highly virulent porcine epidemic diarrhea virus(PEDV)strains re-emerged and circulated in China at the end of 2010,causing significant economic losses in the pork industry worldwide. To understand the genetic dynamics of PEDV during its passage in vitro, the PEDV G2 strain FJzzl was serially propagated in Vero cells for up to 200 passages. The susceptibility and adaptability of the FJzzl strain increased gradually as it was serially passaged in vitro.Sequence analysis revealed that amino acid(aa)changes were mainly concentrated in the S glycoprotein, which accounted for 72.22%-85.71%of all aa changes.A continuous aa deletion(^(55)I^(56)G^(57)E→^(55)K^(56)Δ^(57)Δ)occurred in the N-terminal domain of S1(Sl-NTD).To examine how the aa changes affected its virulence,FJzzl-F20 and FJzzl-F200 were selected to simultaneously evaluate their pathogenicity in suckling piglets. All the piglets in the FJzzl-F20-infected group showed typical diarrhea at 24 h postinfection, and the piglets died successively by 48 h postinfection. However, the clinical signs of the piglets in the FJzzl-F200-infected group were significantly weaker, and no deaths occurred. The FJzzl-F200-infected group also showed a lower level of fecal viral shedding and lower viral loads in the intestinal tissues, and no obvious histopathological lesions.TypeⅠandⅢinterferon were induced in the FJzzl-F200 infection group, together with pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as TNF-α,IL-1βand IL-8.These results indicate that the identified genetic changes may contribute to the attenuation of FJzzl strain, and the attenuated FJzzl-F200 may have the potential for developing PEDV live-attenuated vaccines. | Pengfei Chen Xiongwei Zhao Shuting Zhou Tianxing Zhou Xiangmei Tan Xia Wu Wu Tong Fei Gao Lingxue Yu Yifeng Jiang Hai Yu Zhibiao Yang Guangzhi Tong Yanjun Zhou | 2021 | Virologica Sinica2021,36,5: | 4
Study on the Sensitivity and Vulnerability of Wheat to Climate Change in China显示文摘Based on B2 climate change scenario produced by PRECIS (providing regional climates for impacts studies), which wasdeveloped by the UK Hadley Center, and the wheat yield data outputted by CERES-wheat model, the sensitivity andvulnerability of wheat production to the future climate change in China were studied through analyzing the yield variationusing the GIS (geographical information system) techniques. Results showed that, by the 2070s, there will be threenegative sensitive areas of rain-fed wheat, i.e., northeastern China, the region of the middle and lower reaches of theYangtze River, and part of the Loess Plateau. Irrigated wheat is generally sensitive to the future climate change for mostareas of China, with a lower sensitive degree and a distribution of sensitive areas similar to the rain-fed wheat. For theirrigated wheat, northeast and northwest of China are strongly negative sensitive, while the middle and lower reaches ofthe Yangtze River, the coastal areas of southern China and the southwest of China, are moderately negative sensitive tothe climate change. With the appropriate adaptation to the climate change, the rain-fed wheat in most regions of China willnot be vulnerable and even has a yield increase, while the irrigated wheat will still have a larger vulnerable area (occupyingabout 2/3 of its total area in China), with the highly vulnerable regions distributed in northeastern China and northwesternChina, and the medium and light vulnerable areas distributed along the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River,Yunnan and Guizhou provinces. | SUNFang YANGXiu LINEr-da JUHui XIONGWei | 2005 | Agricultural Sciences in China2005,4,3: | 4
SPEECH ENHANCEMENT USING AN MMSE SHORT TIME DCT COEFFICIENTS ESTIMATOR WITH SUPERGAUSSIAN SPEECH MODELING显示文摘In this paper, two speech enhancement systems with supergaussian speech modeling are presented. The clean speech components are estimated by Minimum-Mean-Square-Error (MMSE) es-timator under the assumption that the DCT coefficients of clean speech are modeled by a Laplacian or a Gamma distribution and the DCT coefficients of the noise are Gaussian distributed. Then,MMSE estimators under speech presence uncertainty are derived. Furthermore, the proper estimators of the speech statistical parameters are proposed. The speech Laplacian factor is estimated by a new deci-sion-directed method. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm yields less residual noise and better speech quality than the Gaussian based speech enhancement algorithms proposed in recent years. | Zou Xia Zhang Xiongwei | 2007 | Journal of Electronics(China)2007,24,3: | 4

Reservoir accumulation conditions and key exploration&development technologies for Keshen gas field in Tarim Basin显示文摘The Keshen gas field is located in the central part of Kuqa foreland thrust belt in Tarim Basin, and is another large gas field discovered in Kuqa depression after Kela 2 gas field.Since the breakthrough in 2008,a number of large and medium scale gas reservoirs including Keshen 2,Keshen 5 and Keshen 8 have been discovered, that are characterized by ultra depth,ultra-high pressure,ultra-low porosity,ultra-low permeability, high temperature and high pressure. With natural gas geological reserves of nearly trillion cubic meters and production capacity of nearly 5.5 billion cubic meters, the Keshen gas field is the main natural gas producing area in Tarim Oilfield. The Keshen gas field is located in a series of thrusting imbrication structures in the Kelasu structural belt of Kuqa foreland thrust belt. The salt roof structure, plastic rheology of salt beds and pre-salt faulted anticlinal structure constitute the large wedge-shaped thrust body. The thick delta sandstone of the Cretaceous Bashijike Formation is widely distributed, and it forms the superior reservoir-caprock combination with overlying Paleogene thick gypsum-salt bed.The deep Jurassic-Triassic oil and gas migrate vertically along fault system formed in Late Himalaya, break through the thick Cretaceous mudstone and move laterally along the fracture system of the pre-salt reservoirs,to form anticline and fault anticline high pressure reservoir groups.Through near ten years of studies, the three-dimensional seismic acquisition and processing technology for complex mountainous areas, extrusion salt-related structural modeling technology and fractured low-porosity sandstone reservoir evaluation technology have been established, which lay a foundation for realization of oil and gas exploration objectives.Logging acquisition and evaluation technology for high temperature, high pressure,ultra-deep and low-porosity sandstone gas reservoirs, and efficient development technology for fractured tight sandstone gas reservoirs have been developed, which provide a technical support for efficient exploration&development and rapid production of the Keshen gas field. | Haijun Yang Yong Li Yangang Tang Ganglin Lei Xiongwei Sun Peng Zhou Lu Zhou Anming Xu Jingjie Tang Wenhui Zhu Jiangwei Shang Weili Chen Mei Li | 2019 | Petroleum Research2019,4,4: | 3
Endoplasmic reticulum-mitochondria tethering in neurodegenerative diseases显示文摘Endoplasmic reticulum(ER)and mitochondria are tubular organelles with a characteristic“network structure”that facilitates the formation of inter-organellar connections. As a result,mitochondria-associated ER membranes(MAMs),a subdomain of the ER that is tightly linked to and communicates with mitochondria, serve multiple physiological functions including lipid synthesis and exchange, calcium signaling, bioenergetics, and apoptosis.Importantly, emerging evidence suggests that the abnormality and dysfunction of MAMs have been involved in various neurodegenerative disorders including Alzheimer’s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease. This review will focus on the architecture and function of MAMs and its involvement in the neurodegenerative diseases. | Yi Liu Xiongwei Zhu | 2017 | Translational Neurodegeneration2017,6,1: | 3
Measuring loblolly pine crowns with drone imagery through deep learning显示文摘In modeling forest stand growth and yield, crown width,a measure for stand density,is among the parameters that allows for estimating stand timber volumes. However, accurately measuring tree crown size in the field,in particular for mature trees,is challenging. This study demonstrated a novel method of applying machine learning algorithms to aerial imagery acquired by an unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)to identify tree crowns and their widths in two loblolly pine plantations in eastern Texas,USA.An ortho mosaic image derived from UAV-captured aerial photos was acquired for each plantation(a young stand before canopy closure,a mature stand with a closed canopy). For each site, the images were split into two subsets:one for training and one for validation purposes.Three widely used object detection methods in deep learning, the Faster region-based convolutional neural network(Faster R-CNN),You Only Look Once version 3(YOLOv3),and single shot detection(SSD),were applied to the training data, respectively. Each was used to train the model for performing crown recognition and crown extraction. Each model output was evaluated using an independent test data set.All three models were successful in detecting tree crowns with an accuracy greater than 93%,except the Faster R-CNN model that failed on the mature site.On the young site, the SSD model performed the best for crown extraction with a coefficient of determination(R^(2))of 0.92,followed by Faster R-CNN(0.88)and YOLOv3(0.62).As to the mature site, the SSD model achieved a R^(2)as high as 0.94,follow by YOLOv3(0.69).These deep leaning algorithms,in particular the SSD model, proved to be successfully in identifying tree crowns and estimating crown widths with satisfactory accuracy. For the purpose of forest inventory on loblolly pine plantations, using UAV-captured imagery paired with the SSD object detention application is a cost-effective alternative to traditional ground measurement. | Xiongwei Lou Yanxiao Huang Luming Fang Siqi Huang Haili Gao Laibang Yang Yuhui Weng I.-K.uai Hung | 2022 | Journal of Forestry Research2022,33,1: | 3
Effect of AAPH oxidation on digestion characteristics of seed watermelon(Citrullus lanatus var)kernels protein isolates显示文摘Seed watermelon kernel is a typical complex food with high fat and protein contents.During storage and processing,it is often affected by various factors to undergo interactions between components, which lead to its quality change. In this experiment, seed watermelon kernels were used as research objects, and the effects of 2-Azobis(2-amidinopropane)dihydrochloride(AAPH)on seed watermelon kernel protein isolates(WMP)were investigated. The structure and digestion characteristics of WMP after oxidation were studied. The results showed that with the increase of AAPH concentration(0.05−5 mol/L),WMP showed obvious aggregation, and its solubility decreased from 6.76 mg/mL to 9.59 mg/mL.The free sulfhydryl content of WMP was 18.24 mmol/g decreased to 11.25 mmol/g,α-helix decreased andβ-sheet decreased in secondary structure, and its disulfide bond increased by 43.06 mmol/g from 39.57 mmol/g,enthalpy(H)and denaturation temperature increased(Td)(P<0.05).By mass spectrometry results of simulated gastric digestion products,it was found that oxidation adversely affected the digestion characteristics of WMP.It can be seen that the lipid oxidation product APPH of seed watermelon kernel can significantly affect the structure and function of the protein extracted from the seed kernel. | Shugang Li Zhihao Li Xiuting Li Ping Wang Xiongwei Yu Qinli Fu Sihai Gao | 2020 | Food Science and Human Wellness2020,9,4: | 3
Geological controls of shale gas accumulation and enrichment mechanism in Lower Cambrian Niutitang Formation of western Hubei, Middle Yangtze, China显示文摘The lower Cambrian Niutitang Formation is of crucial importance for shale gas target reservoirs in western Hubei,China;however, little work has been done in this field, and its shale gas accumulation and enrichment mechanism are still unclear.Based on survey wells, outcrop data, and large numbers of tests, the geological conditions of shale gas accumulation were studied;moreover, the factors that influence the gas content were thoroughly discussed. The results show that the Niutitang Formation(Є1n)can be divided into three sections:the first section(Є_(1)n^(1)),the second section(Є_(1)n^(2)),and the third section(Є1n3).TheЄ_(1)n^(2) is the main shale gas reservoir. The deep shelf facies is the main sedimentary facies and can be divided into three main lithofacies:argillaceous siltstone, carbonaceous shale and carbonaceous siliceous rock. The total organic carbon(TOC)content shows gentle growth trends until bottom of theЄ_(1)n^(2) and then decreases rapidly within theЄ_(1)n^(1),and the TOC content mainly ranges from 2%to 4%horizontally.The calcite and dolomite dissolution pores, clay intergranular pores and organic pores are the main pore types and the micropore types are clearly related to the mineral compositions and the TOC content.Vertically, the gas content is mainly affected by the TOC content.Horizontally, wells with high gas contents are distributed only southeast of the Huangling anticline, and the combination of structural styles, fault and fracture development, and the distribution of the regional unconformity boundary between the upper Sinian Dengying Formation(Z2d)and theЄ_(1)n^(2) are the three most important factors affecting the gas content. The favorable areas must meet the following conditions:a deep shelf environment, the presence of theЄ_(1)n^(1),wide and gentle folds, far from large normal faults that are more than 5 km,moderate thermal evolution, and greater than 500 m burial depth;this includes the block with the YD2–ZD2 wells, and the block with the Y1 and YD4 wells, which are distributed in the southern portion of the Huangling anticline and northern portion of the Xiannvshan fault. | Lulu XU Saipeng HUANG Zaoxue LIU Yaru WEN Xianghui ZHOU Yanlin ZHANG Xiongwei LI Deng WANG Fan LUO Cheng CHEN | 2021 | Frontiers of Earth Science2021,15,2: | 3

Fabrication and near-infrared optical responses of 2D periodical Au/ITO nanocomposite arrays显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D) periodical Au and indium tin oxide(ITO) nanocomposite arrays have been fabricated based on a self-assembled nanosphere lithography technique. A button-shaped Au nanoparticle was formed on each hollow hemisphere-shaped ITO shell. Importantly, the underlying formation mechanism during the thermal treatment has been thoroughly explored by comparing structures resulting from different deposition conditions in detail. Compared to the Au nanoparticle arrays without ITO shells, the Au/ITO nanocomposite arrays showed a stronger localized surface plasmon resonance effect and higher absorption in the near-infrared(NIR) region, benefiting from the free-electron interaction enhancement between Au and ITO. The nonlinear optical properties were investigated using a modified femtosecond intensity-scan system, and the results demonstrated Au/ITO nanocomposite arrays with a remarkable two-photon absorption saturation effect for femtosecond pulses at 1030 nm. The versatile NIR optical responses indicate the great potential of the elaborately prepared 2D periodical Au/ITO nanocomposite arrays in many applications such as solar cells, photocatalysis, and novel nano optoelectronic devices. | ZHENGYUAN BAI GUIJU TAO YUANXIN LI JIN HE KANGPENG WANG GAOZHONG WANG XIONGWEI JIANG JUN WANG WERNER BLAU LONG ZHANG | 2017 | Photonics Research2017,5,4: | 2
