1Controlling reduction degree of graphene oxide membranes for improved water permeance显示文摘Tailoring the pore structure and surface chemistry of graphene-based laminates is essentially important for their applications as separation membranes.Usually,pure graphene oxide(GO) and completely reduced GO(r GO) membranes suffer from low water permeance because of the lack of pristine graphitic sp^2 domains and very small interlayer spacing,respectively.In this work,we studied the influence of reduction degree on the structure and separation performance of r GO membranes.It was found that weak reduction retains the good dispersion and hydrophilicity of GO nanosheets.More importantly,it increases the number of pristine graphitic sp^2 domains in rGO nanosheets while keeping the large interlayer spacing of the GO membranes in most regions at the same time.The resultant membranes show a high water permeance of 56.3 L m^(-2)h^(-1)bar^(-1),which is about 4 times and over 10~4 times larger than those of the GO and completely reduced r GO membranes,respectively,and high rejection over 95% for various dyes.Furthermore,they show better structure stability and more superior separation performance than GO membranes in acid and alkali environments.Qing Zhang Xitang Qian Khalid Hussain Thebo Hui-Ming Cheng Wencai Ren 2018Science Bulletin2018,63,12:7
2Structure and Properties of CaO-MgO-SiO_2 Inorganic Glass Fiber with Additives (Al_2O_3,Y_2O_3)显示文摘Structure, crystallization and dissolution properties of CaO-MgO-SiO2 inorganic glass fiber in the presence of additives (Al2O3, Y2O3) were investigated by DTA, XRD, FTIR and ICP-AES techniques. The results show that with the addition of Al2O3 and Y2O3, the glass network structure is strengthened and the precipitation of crystals is inhibited for heat-treated fibers. Compared with Y2O3 doped fibers, Al2O3 presents more significant effects on the enhancement of silica network and the inhibition of crystallization in fibers. 3Reduced graphene oxide/metal oxide nanoparticles composite membranes for highly efficient molecular separation显示文摘Graphene oxide(GO) membranes play an important role in various nanofiltration applications including desalination, water purification, gas separation, and pervaporation. However, it is still very challenging to achieve both high separation efficiency and good water permeance at the same time. Here, we synthesized two kinds of GO-based composite membranes i.e. reduced GO(rGO)@MoO_2 and rGO@WO_3 by in-situ growth of metal nanoparticles on the surface of GO sheets. They show a high separation efficiency of ~100% for various organic dyes such as rhodamine B, methylene blue and evans blue, along with a water permeance over 125 Lm^(-2) h^(-1) bar^(-1). The high water permeance and rejection efficiency open up the possibility for the real applications of our GO composite membranes in water purification and wastewater treatment. 4Bacillus velezensis JK-XZ8 prevents and controls crown gall disease on Prunus subhirtella by colonizing and inducing resistance显示文摘Crown gall of Prunus subhirtella Miq., flowering cherry, is a soil-borne bacterial disease caused by Agrobacterium tumefaciens Smith & Townsend and has caused serious damage to the species in recent years in China. In this study, the colonization of sapling roots, the biocontrol efficacy, the expression of defense-related genes and the enzyme activity in roots of P. subhirtella inoculated with the Bacillus velezensis JK-XZ8 against A. tumefaciens were determined under greenhouse conditions. The results showed that the JK-XZ8 strain colonized in the rhizosphere and root surfaces of the saplings. Sole application of the strain increased activities of polyphenol oxidase (PPO) and phenylalanine ammonia lyase (PAL) without affecting superoxide dismutase (SOD). SOD and PPO activities increased in the prevention group, and the activity of PAL increased in both the prevention and cure groups. The expression of the defense-related genes PAL and PR-1 of salicylic acid pathway in roots increased in both the prevention and cure groups. Simultaneously on day 3, the expression of both COI and MYC2 genes of the jasmonic acid pathway significantly increased in the two groups. The incidence of crown gall in the prevention and the cure groups were 48.1% and 66.7%, respectively, significantly lower compared to the pathogens alone (87.5%). This study showed that the application of the JK-XZ8 strain reduced the incidence of crown gall in P. subhirtella saplings in the two groups, and the prevention group had better control efficacy.
