4A new threshold of uncovering the nature of glass transition:The slow β relaxation in glassy states显示文摘The glass transition involves more than one dynamic relaxation mechanisms in supercooled liquids,such as α relaxation,slow β relaxation and fast β relaxation and so on.For the traditional theoretical system,α relaxation is believed mainly responsible for the nature of the glass transition as the beginning of the phenomenon.This idea,however,has been open to a big challenge since recent studies have indicated that slow β relaxation closely relates to α relaxation.Slow β relaxation determines the characteristics of α relaxation and is the precursor and the more microscopic base of glass transition behavior.In order to illuminate the significance of slow β relaxation in the fields of the glass transition and the structure of supercooled liquids,the accomplished progress is summarized from different aspects such as on the correlation between α relaxation and slow β relaxation,on the manner of α-slow β relaxation merging,on the energy landscape,on the excess wing and on the thermodynamically phenomenological models.The tendency of investigation in slow β relaxation is also evaluated.HU LiNa ZHANG ChunZhi YUE YuanZheng BIAN XiuFang 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,6:4
5Low-Angle Grain Boundaries in Sublimation Grown 6H-SiC Crystals显示文摘High-resolution X-ray diffractometry (HRXRD) was used to assess the quality of 6H-SiC crystals grown by sublimation method. The results show the occurrence of low-angle grain boundaries (LB) is close relative to the inclination of the crystal interface. At the central faceted region with 0° inclination the crystal is of high structural perfection. However, at the region close to the facet with less than 5° inclination LB occurs slightly and at the region close to the peripheral polytype ring with more than 5° inclination LB defect occurs heavily. 6High-quality instant black tea manufactured using fresh tea leaves by two-stage submerged enzymatic processing显示文摘Repeated thermal treatment could impair the flavor of instant black tea(IBT)as the volatile compounds and characteristic constituents dramatically vary during the manufacturing process.Utilization of fresh leaves as raw material in IBT manufacture at low temperature may become an alternative to conventional extraction methods.This study aimed to improve the quality of IBT using fresh tea leaves by a two-stage enzymatic processing.The influence of combined enzymatic oxidation and extraction conditions for maximal extractable flavour(taste and aroma)characteristics from fresh tea leaves were investigated.The changes of aroma profiles and chemical constituents including theaflavins(TFs),thearubigins(TRs),theabrownines(TBs)and TRs/TFs ratio in converted tea brews under two-stage enzyme catalyzed fermentation and extraction conditions were further compared between different treatments,based on which the optimised conditions were determined.During the two-stage enzymatic processing,75 kinds of volatile compounds were identified in all processed samples,and the contents of TFs,TRs,TBs and TRs/TFs ratio could be optimized by adjusting different procedures and parameters.The overall properties of final product were compared with two types of commercial IBT.High quality IBT with desired properties and antioxidant activity can be manufactured using fresh tea leaves by two-stage enzymatic processing approach.Junhao Kong Xiufang Yang Xiaobo Zuo Xiaoqin Su Bing Hu Xinle Liang 2022Food Science and Human Wellness2022,11,3:2

9Apolipoprotein E polymorphism in northern Chinese elderly patients with coronary artery disease显示文摘Background and objective Apolipoprotein E is a constituent of lipoproteins with considerable variation due to cysteine-arginine exchanges. We investigated the relationship between apo E gene polymorphism and the occurrence of coronary artery disease(CAD) in the older population of northern China. Methods The distribution of the HhaI polymorphisms of the apolipoprotein E gene was determined among 55 patients with CAD (CAD group), which was compared with that of 36 elderly subjects without CAD(control group). Results Genotype distributions at both sites (apo E gene 112-bp and 158-bp sites ) were different between the CAD and control groups. The CAD group had lower apolipoprotein E'ε2'frequencies than the control group (P<0.05). 16Relaxation of residual stresses in SiC wafers by annealing显示文摘Residual stresses in SiC wafers, which were introduced during production processes including sawing, lapping, mechanical polishing (MP), and chemical-mechanical polishing (CMP), were evaluated in terms of changes in radius of curvature and high-resolution X-ray diffractometer (HRXRD) measurements. It was found that annealing was an effective method to reduce stress fields and to improve the wafer flatness. Lapping process generated more residual stresses than other machining processes, and these stresses could be relaxed by thermal treatment. The results showed that annealing was an essential procedure following lapping in the whole production process. 17Liquid dynamics and glass formation of Gd_(55)Co_(20)Al_(25)metallic glass with minor Si addition显示文摘Liquid dynamics plays an essential role in glass formation.Here we observed a distinct change of liquid dynamics in Gd_(55)Co_(20)Al_(25)metallic glass induced by microalloying Si element.In the equilibrium melt,minor Si(0.5 at.%)addition leads to a more fragile liquid behavior and a smaller strength of liquid-liquid transition with the transition strength(F)decreasing from 0.76 to 0.35.However,in the supercooled liquid,Si-doped liquid exhibits a remarkable enhanced fragile-to-strong transition(FST),and the value of FST factor f increases sharply from 1.63 to 3.84,resulting in a stronger liquid behavior and more sluggish crystallization kinetics for Gd_(55)Co_(20)Al_(24.5)Si_(0.5)metallic glass.Moreover,minor Si addition promotes the formation of a crystal-like structure with a size of 1-2 nm.The interactions between the crystal-like structures and other local favored clusters frustrate the further growth of crystal-like phases,thus stabilizes the amorphous structure.As a result,the glass-forming ability(GFA)was largely improved.The critical diameter of Gd_(55)Co_(20)Al_(25)metallic glass increased from 2 to 7 mm with 0.5 at.%Si addition without deterioration of the magnetocaloric effect.This study provides valuable insight for understanding the distinct effect of microalloying on GFA of metallic glasses from the aspect of the evolution of the liquid.Lin Xue Liliang Shao Qiang Luo Lina Hu Yunbo Zhao Kuibo Yin Mingyun Zhu Litao Sun Baolong Shen Xiufang Bian 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,18:0

20Anomalous Resistivity in Vanadium-Doped Semi-Insulating 4H-SiC Wafers显示文摘The resistivities of vanadium-doped semi-insulating 4H-SiC wafers were measured by a contactless resistivity measurement system. Anomalous resistivity was found in semi-insulating 4H-SiC wafer. Raman spectra of semi-insulating4H-SiC wafer indicated that the anomalous resistivity was caused by polytype inclusion. Based on the activation energies of different SiC polytypes calculated from resistivity versus temperature data measured by COREMA-VT, the resistivities in the vanadium-doped semi-insulating 4H-SiC wafer with 6H polytype inclusion were calculated. The calculated resistivities are quite consistent with the measured resistivities.
