Western medication plus Traditional Chinese Medicine preparations in patients with chronic heart failure:a prospective,single-blind,randomized,controlled,and multicenter clinical trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To assess the efficacy and safety in patients with chronic heart failure(CHF) of Western medication plus Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) preparations.METHODS: This prospective, single-blind, randomized, controlled, and multicenter clinical trial began on September 17, 2008, and was completed on June 25, 2011. A total of 340 inpatients, aged 40-79 years, with exacerbating CHF from 10 hospitals were enrolled and randomly allocated within 24 h of admission. The trial included three intervention periods. During hospitalization, the control group received western medication for CHF and the treatment group received Danhong injection with Shenfu injection or Shenmai injection. After discharge, all patients were treated with Qiliqiangxin capsules and Buyiqiangxin tablets or a placebo for 6 months. After the 6-month intervention, both groups received only continuous western medication. The primary endpoint was all-cause mortality. The efficacy assessments were as follows: B-type natriuretic peptide(BNP), Lee's HF score, the 6-minute walking test(6 MWT), left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF), and the Minnesota Living with Heart Failure Questionnaire(MLHFQ). The safety assessments were as follows: blood and urine routine examination, hepatic and renal function, electrolytes in blood and adverse events.RESULTS: Compared with the control group, the treatment group showed a 30.99% reduction in all-cause mortality and an improved survival rate. The treatment group showed greater improvement in 6 MWT(P = 0.02) than the control group on discharge, after 12-month follow-up, there was a time-group interaction for MLHFQ(P = 0.03). Incidence rate of adverse events and other relevant safety indexes were not statistically significant between the two groups.CONCLUSION: Western medication plus TCM treatment can increase 6-minute walking distance(improve exercise tolerance) and quality of life with heart failure patients. | Wang Xianliang Hou Yazhu Mao Jingyuan Zhao Yingqiang Niu Tianfu Yuan Ruyu Wang Yonggang Cui Jin-rong Shi Le Jia Xiuli Fan Ruihong Lin Qian Zhang Yan Li Zhijun Shang Hongcai Wang Baohe Wang Hongwu Wang Henghe Cui Xiaolei Soh Shanbin Ruan Jishou Zhang Boli | 2017 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2017,37,6: | 15
Deformation mechanism and microstructures on polycrystalline aluminum induced by high-current pulsed electron beam显示文摘In this paper, we present an experimental investigation of deformation twinning in polycrystalline aluminum exposed to high-current pulsed electron beam (HCPEB) irradiation. The residual tensile stress with about 10 2 MPa was introduced in the irradiated surface layer. The feature characteristic irradiated with various numbers of pulses was investigated. The formation of a large number of twin bands on the surface irradiated with multiple pulses was determined. The experimental observations indicated that the deformation twinning was indeed triggered during HCPEB irradiation. It is suggested that high value of stress and strain rate induced by rapid heating and cooling due to HCPEB irradiation may cause the shifting of whole atomic planes simultaneously. Additionally, some slipping systems may be suppressed due to the geometric confinement by thinned size of surface layer, which can promote the initiation of deformation twinning. | CAI Jie JI Le YANG ShengZhi WANG XiaoTong LI Yan HOU XiuLi GUAN QingFeng | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,20: | 7
Experimental and mechanistic study on chemical looping combustion of caking coal显示文摘Under high-temperature batch fluidized bed conditions and by employing juye coal as the raw material, the present study determined the effects of the bed material,temperature,OC/C ratio, steam flow and oxygen carrier cycle on the chemical looping combustion of coal.In addition, the variations taking place in the surface functional groups of coal under different reaction times were investigated, and the variations achieved by the gas released under the pyrolysis and combustion of Juye coal were analyzed. As revealed from the results, the carbon conversion ratio and rate were elevated significantly, and the volume fraction of the outlet CO_(2)remained more than 92%under the oxygen carriers. The optimized reaction conditions to achieve the chemical looping combustion of Juye coal consisted of a temperature of 900℃,an OC/C ratio of 2,as well as a steam flow rate of 0.5 g·min^(-1).When the coal was undergoing the chemical looping combustion, volatiles primarily originated from the pyrolysis of aliphatic-CH_(3)and-CH_(2),and CO and H_(2)were largely generated from the gasification of aromatic carbon. In the CLC process,H_(2)O and CO_(2)began to separate out at 270℃,CH4 and tar began to precipitate at 370℃,and the amount of CO_(2)was continuously elevated with the rise of the temperature. | Xiuli Zhang Zhengdong Gao Yongzhuo Liu Yuanhao Hou Xiaoqing Sun Qingjie Guo | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,9: | 2
Influence of background pressure on the microstructure and optical properties of Mo/Si multilayers fabricated by magnetron sputtering显示文摘Mo/Si multilayers were fabricated by using magnetron sputtering method at different background pressures:6×10-5 Torr,3×10-5 Torr, and 3×10-6 Torr. The reflectivity of the Mo/Si multilayers increased from 1.93% to 16.63%,and the center wavelength revealed a blue shift to 0.12 nm with the decrease of background pressure.Grazing incident X-ray diffraction(GIXRD) indicated that multilayers fabricated at high background pressure possessed better periodic structure and thinner Mo-on-Si interlayers.Low crystallization degree in(110) preferred the orientation of Mo layers and serious interdiffusion in the Mo/Si multilayers fabricated at low background pressure were observed by transmission electron microscopy(TEM).According to quantitative analysis of microstructural parameters, the Mo layers thickness and thickness ratio of Mo/Si multilayers both decreased and approached the design value gradually by the decrease of background pressure. In addition, the thicknesses of Mo-on-Si and Si-on-Mo interlayers were 1.17 nm and 0.85 nm respectively. It is suggested that the influence of background pressures on the microstructure has a critical role in determining the optical properties of Mo/Si multilayers. | LV Peng ZHANG ZaiQiang GUAN JinTong WANG XiaoDong HOU XiuLi ZHANG LingYan WANG JiJun CHEN Bo GUAN QingFeng | 2013 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2013,56,9: | 2
Defect-engineered Mn_(3)O_(4)/CNTs composites enhancing reaction kinetics for zinc-ions storage performance显示文摘The designing of reasonable nanocomposite materials and proper introduction of defect engineering are of great significance for the improvement of the poor electronic conductivity and slow reaction kinetics of manganese-based compounds. Herein, we report manganese-deficient Mn_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles which grow in-situ on highly conductive carbon nanotubes(CNTs)(denoted as DMOC) as an advanced cathode material for aqueous rechargeable zinc-ion batteries(RAZIBs). According to experimental and calculation results, the DMOC cathode integrates the advantages of enriched Mn defects and small particle size. These features not only enhance electronic conductivity but also create more active site and contribute to fast reaction kinetics. Moreover, the structure of DMOC is maintained during the charging and discharging process, thus benefiting for excellent cycle stability. As a result, the DMOC electrode delivers a high specific capacity of 420.6 m A h g^(-1) at 0.1 A g^(-1) and an excellent cycle life of 2800 cycles at 2.0 A g^(-1) with a high-capacity retention of 84.1%. In addition, the soft-packaged battery assembled with DMOC cathode exhibits long cycle life and high energy density of 146.3 Wh kg^(-1) at 1.0 A g^(-1) . The results are beneficial for the development of Zn/Mn_(3)O_(4) battery for practical energy storage. | Xiuli Guo Hao Sun Chunguang Li Siqi Zhang Zhenhua Li Xiangyan Hou Xiaobo Chen Jingyao Liu Zhan Shi Shouhua Feng | 2022 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,5: | 1
