1Multi-functional polyethersulfone nanofibrous membranes with ultra-high adsorption capacity and ultra-fast removal rates for dyes and bacteria显示文摘The adsorption technology has been widely applied in water remediation for contamination removal of dyes and bacteria,by virtue of the advantages of adsorption technology including high efficiency,energy conservation and ease of operation.Simultaneous removal of dyes and bacteria has been realized by some reported materials,but to achieve satisfactory adsorption amounts and rates remain an unmet goal for decades.Herein,a poly(methacrylatoethyl trimethyl ammonium chloride-co-methyl methacrylate)copolymer was synthesized,and then blended with polyethersulfone for the fabrication of nanofibrous membranes via electrospinning for the use of fast and massive removal of dyes and bacteria.Owing to the introduction of abundant quaternary ammonium groups,the maximum adsorption amount for methyl orange was up to 909.8 mg g^(-1).In addition,the modified nanofibrous membranes showed good recyclability,broad applications in severe environments,selective adsorption ability,and excellent dynamic removal performance.Especially,thanks to the abundant functional groups,the membranes showed fast adsorption ability for bacteria through electrostatic interaction.It should be noted that the clearance ratio for Staphylococcus aureus or Escherichia coli by 6 min of static adsorption could reach 93%or 90%for each.Additionally,dynamic removal ratio via filtration with the nanofibrous membranes could reach 99.7%for Staphylococcus aureus or 98.7%for Escherichia coli in 90 s.Therefore,the proposed approach towards the quaternary ammonium modified polyethersulfone nanofibrous membranes creates a new route for ultra-high adsorption capacity and ultra-fast removal rates for dyes and bacteria in water remediation.Jianxu Bao Hang Li Yuanting Xu Shengqiu Chen Zhoujun Wang Chunji Jiang Huilin Li Zhiwei Wei Shudong Sun Weifeng Zhao Changsheng Zhao 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,19:4
2Locating Malleable Bulk Metallic Glasses in Zr-Ti-Cu-Al Alloys with Calorimetric Glass Transition Temperature as an Indicator显示文摘We defined the plastic deformability under constrained loading conditions as malleability for bulk metallic glass (BMG) materials. Quaternary Zr-Ti-Cu-Al alloys in the Zr-rich composition range are selected to investigate the compositional dependence of malleability assessed by bending testing and glass transition temperature (Tg ). As indicated, increasing the Al or Cu concentration in the alloys leads to the rise of T g . The Zr(61)Ti2Cu(25)Al(12) (ZT1) and Zr(61.6)Ti(4.4)Cu(24)Al(10) (ZT3) alloys exhibit an optimal combination of lower T g and higher glass-forming ability. The malleable BMGs such as ZT1 manifests two characters during deformation, the stable propagation of a single shear band indicated by large shear offsets and easy proliferation of shear bands. With increasing the T g of BMG, the yield strength σy,Young's modulus and shear modulus simultaneously increase as well, while the Poisson s ratio decreases. The σy of ZT1 BMG is about 1680 MPa in compression and 1600 MPa in tension. In tensile loading, no any visible plasticity appears even when the strain rate increases up to the order of magnitude of 10(-1)s(-1). In consistent with the T g , malleability of Zr-Ti-Cu-Al BMGs manifests significant compositional dependence. The malleable BMG is associated with lower Tg , as well as lower shear modulus or higher Poisson s ratio, which can be understood on the basis of the correlation of Tg with shear energy barrier in metallic glass. 3STOCHASTIC RESONANCE MEASURED BY THEMUTUAL INFORMATION IN THE NEURONSTHAT TRANSMIT CHAOTIC SPIKE TRAINS显示文摘The spike trains generated by a neuron model are studied by the methods of nonlinear time series analysis. The results show that the spike trains are chaotic. To investigate effect of noise on transmission of chaotic spike trains, this chaotic spike trains are used as a discrete subthreshold input signal to the integrate-and-fire neuronal model and the FitzHugh-Nagumo(FHN) neuronal model working in noisy environment. 14Improved generalized cell mapping for global analysis of dynamical systems显示文摘Three main parts of generalized cell mapping are improved for global analysis. A simple method, which is not based on the theory of digraphs, is presented to locate complete self-cycling sets that corre- spond to attractors and unstable invariant sets involving saddle, unstable periodic orbit and chaotic saddle. Refinement for complete self-cycling sets is developed to locate attractors and unstable in- variant sets with high degree of accuracy, which can start with a coarse cell structure. A nonuniformly interior-and-boundary sampling technique is used to make the refinement robust. For homeomorphic dissipative dynamical systems, a controlled boundary sampling technique is presented to make gen- eralized cell mapping method with refinement extremely accurate to obtain invariant sets. Recursive laws of group absorption probability and expected absorption time are introduced into generalized cell mapping, and then an optimal order for quantitative analysis of transient cells is established, which leads to the minimal computational work. 16A Simple Method for the Computation of theConditional Lyapunov Exponents显示文摘An handy method of calculating the conditional Lyapunov exponents isput forward. Lyapunov exponents of differential dynamical systems and the conditionalLyapunov exponents can be acquired easily with the method. The method has beensuccessfully used in kinds of synchronization, such as continuous driving synchronization,impulsive (sporadic) driving synchronization, intermittently driving synchronization. 20Research on vibroacoustical characteristicsof an annular flow duct system显示文摘The vibroacoustical characteristics of an annular flow duct system, which consists of two infinite concentric cylindrical elastic thin steel shells (hereafter referred to as a double shell simply) coupled by the entrained axial uniform water flow, is investigated. By using a fully coupled model between fluid and shells, the dispersion behaviour is analyzed for the system, vibrating in the n = 0 and n = 1 circumferential modes.
