1Effects of annealing temperature on the microstructure and hardness of TiAlSiN hard coatings显示文摘TiAlSiN hard coatings were synthesized on high-speed steel using an arc ion enhanced magnetic sputtering hybrid system.The microstructure and hardness of the coatings at different annealing temperatures were explored by means of XRD,TEM,EDAX and Vickers indentation.The as-deposited TiAlSiN coatings were confirmed to be amorphous due to high depositing rate and low deposition temperature during the film growth.The transformation from amorphous to nanocomposites of nano-crystallites and amorphousness were observed after the annealing treatment,the microstructure of TiAlSiN coatings annealed at 800°C and 1000°C were consisted of crystalline hcp-AlN,fcc-TiN and amorphous phase,however,the coatings were only consisted of fcc-TiN and amorphous phase when annealing at 1100°C and 1200°C.Meanwhile,the formation of Al2O3 was detected on the coating surface after annealing at 1200°C and it indicated the excellent oxidation resistance of the TiAlSiN coatings under the present experimental conditions.Furthermore,the average grain size of the TiAlSiN coatings after high temperature annealing even at 1200°C was less than 30 nm and the size increased with the increasing temperature.However,the hardness of the so-deposited coatings with HV0.2N=3300 dramatically decreased with the increase of temperature and reached nearly to the hardness of TiN coatings with HV0.2N=2300.WANG Xin XU JianHua MA ShengLi XU KeWei 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,16:11
2Synergistic antitumor activity of sorafenib and artesunate in hepatocellular carcinoma cells显示文摘Sorafenib is currently the standard chemotherapy drug for treatment of advanced hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).But its efficacy requires improvement,it is imperative to seek therapeutic strategies that combine sorafenib with other anticancer agents.In this study we investigated the synergistic anticancer effect of combining sorafenib and artesunate,an anti-malaria drug derivative,against HCC in vitro and in vivo.We first showed that artesunate(1–100μM)alone dose-dependently inhibited the proliferation of five HCC cell lines tested with IC50 values of around 100μM.Artesunate treatment dose-dependently increased the ROS level in both HuH7 and Hep3B cells;addition of NAC significantly ameliorated the antiproliferation effect of artesunate against HuH7 and Hep3B cells.Then we demonstrated that combination of sorafenib and artesunate exerted synergistic antiproliferation effect and induced synergistic apoptosis in HCC cell lines.In nude mice bearing Hep3B xenografts,combined administration of sorafenib and artesunate significantly enhanced the suppression on tumor growth.We further revealed that sorafenib dose-dependently decreased the levels of p-ERK and p-STAT3,whereas artesunate markedly increased the levels of p-ERK and p-STAT3 in HuH7 and Hep3B cells.When used in combination,sorafenib abolished artesunate-elevated levels of p-STAT3 and p-ERK.Moreover,pharmacological inhibition of ERK by inhibitor PD0325901 or STAT3 by inhibitor Stattic markedly enhanced the anticancer activity of artesunate,suggesting that suppression of ERK and STAT3 signaling by sorafenib contributes to the synergistic anticancer activity against HCC caused by combination of sorafenib and artesunate.Taken together,our results provide an evidence for possible use of sorafenib plus artesunate or artemisinin analogs for treatment of HCC in the future.Xu Yao Chen-ru Zhao Hao Yin KeWei Wang Jian-jun Gao 2020Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2020,41,12:7
3The structural,electronic and magnetic properties of the 3d TM(V,Cr,Mn,Fe,Co,Ni and Cu) doped ZnO nanotubes:A first-principles study显示文摘We have performed the first-principles calculations onto the structural,electronic and magnetic properties of seven 3d transition-metal(TM=V,Cr,Mn,Fe,Co,Ni and Cu) atom substituting cation Zn in both zigzag(10,0) and armchair(6,6) zinc oxide nanotubes(ZnONTs).The results show that there exists a structural distortion around 3d TM impurities with respect to the pristine ZnONTs.The magnetic moment increases for V-,Cr-doped ZnONTs and reaches maximum for Mn-doped ZnONTs,and then decreases for Fe-,Co-,Ni-and Cu-doped ZnONTs successively,which is consistent with the predicted trend of Hund's rule for maximizing the magnetic moments of the doped TM ions.However,the values of the magnetic moments are smaller than the predicted values of Hund's rule due to strong hybridization between p orbitals of the nearest neighbor O atoms of ZnONTs and d orbitals of the TM atoms.Furthermore,the Mn-,Fe-,Co-,Cu-doped(10,0) and(6,6) ZnONTs with half-metal and thus 100% spin polarization characters seem to be good candidates for spintronic applications.ZHANG JianMin GAO Dan XU KeWei 2012Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2012,55,3:5
4Chemically robust carbon nanotube-PTFE superhydrophobic thin films with enhanced ability of wear resistance显示文摘A chemically robust superhydrophobic nanocomposite thin film with enhanced wear resistance is prepared from a composite comprising polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) and carbon nanotubes.The superhydrophobic thin films with hierarchical structure are fabricated by spraying an environmentally friendly aqueous dispersion containing carbon nanotubes and PTFE resin on silicon wafer.Thin films with a contact angle of 154.1°± 2° and a sliding angle less than 2° remain superhydrophobic after abrading over 500 times under a pressure of 50 g/cm^2.The thin film is also extremely stable even under much stress conditions.To further the understanding of the enhancement of wear resistance,we investigated the formation of microsized structure and their effects.The growth of microbumps is caused by attracting solution droplet to the hydrophilic islands on hydrophobic surface.Kewei Wang Pan Xiong Xiuping Xu Kan Wang YanLong Li Yufeng Zheng 2017Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2017,27,3:4

7Crystal structure of the N-terminal ankyrin repeat domain of TRPV3 reveals unique conformation of fi nger 3 loop critical for channel function显示文摘In all six members of TRPV channel subfamily,there is an ankyrin repeat domain(ARD)in their intracellular N-termini.Ankyrin(ANK)repeat,a common motif with typi-cally 33 residues in each repeat,is primarily involved in protein-protein interactions.Despite the sequence similarity among the ARDs of TRPV channels,the struc-ture of TRPV3-ARD,however,remains unknown.Here,we report the crystal structure of TRPV3-ARD solved at 1.95Åresolution,which reveals six-ankyrin repeats.While overall structure of TRPV3-ARD is similar to ARDs from other members of TRPV subfamily;it,however,features a noticeable fi nger 3 loop that bends over and is stabilized by a network of hydrogen bonds and hydrophobic pack-ing,instead of being fl exible as seen in known TRPV-ARD structures.Electrophysiological recordings demonstrated that mutating key residues R225,R226,Q255,and F249 of fi nger 3 loop altered the channel activities and pharmacol-ogy.Taken all together,our findings show that TRPV3-ARD with characteristic fi nger 3 loop likely plays an im-portant role in channel function and pharmacology.Di-Jing Shi Sheng Ye Xu Cao Rongguang Zhang KeWei Wang 2013Protein & Cell2013,4,12:3
8Structural and electronic properties of chiral single-wall copper nanotubes显示文摘The structural,energetic and electronic properties of chiral(n,m)(3≤n≤6,n/2≤m≤n)single-wall copper nanotubes(CuNTs)have been investigated by using projector-augmented wave method based on density-functional theory.The(4,3)CuNT is energetically stable and should be observed experimentally in both free-standing and tip-suspended conditions,whereas the(5,5)and(6,4)CuNTs should be observed in free-standing and tip-suspended conditions,respectively.The number of conductance channels in the CuNTs does not always correspond to the number of atomic strands comprising the nanotube.Charge density contours show that there is an enhanced interatomic interaction in CuNTs compared with Cu bulk.Current transporting states display different periods and chirality,the combined effects of which lead to weaker chiral currents on CuNTs.DUAN YingNi ZHANG JianMin XU KeWei 2014Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2014,57,4:2
9First-principles study of the adsorption of oxygen atoms on copper nanowires显示文摘By using first-principles calculations,we have systematically investigated the structural stability and electronic properties of a single oxygen atom adsorbed on the surface of foursquare Cu nanowires for a wide range of adsorption sites.In view of binding energy maximization,we found that the long bridge site at the edge of the Cu nanowires is the most stable site for oxygen adsorption,which is always slightly energetically favorable compared with the hollow site at the surface.The electron transferring from Cu atoms to O adatom and a significant polarization indicate the O-Cu chemical bond,showing some degree of ionic character.In addition,the hybridization between O-2p and Cu-3d states implies the O-Cu bond which also shows some degree of covalence character.The main factors which affect the oxygen preferred adsorption site are analyzed from the local geometrical configurations and electronic properties.MA LiangCai ZHANG JianMin XU KeWei 2012Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2012,55,3:2
