1Rice Expression Database(RED):An integrated RNA-Seq-derived gene expression database for rice显示文摘Rice is one of the most important stable food as well as a monocotyledonous model organism for the plant research community. Here,we present RED(Rice Expression Database;http://gffzzd1bc3ab4bbbc4005hcu99qpo9bpw0656w.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn),an integrated database of rice gene expression profiles derived entirely from RNA-Seq data.RED features a comprehensive collection of 284 high-quality RNA-Seq experiments, integrates a large number of gene expression profiles and covers a wide range of rice growth stages as well as various treatments.Based on massive expression profiles,RED provides a list of housekeeping and tissue-specific genes and dynamically constructs co-expression networks for gene(s) of interest.Besides,it provides user-friendly web interfaces for querying, browsing and visualizing expression profiles of concerned genes.Together,as a core resource in BIG Data Center,RED bears great utility for characterizing the function of rice genes and better understanding important biological processes and mechanisms underlying complex agronomic traits in rice.Lin Xia Dong Zou Jian Sang Xingjian Xu Hongyan Yin Mengwei Li Shuangyang Wu Songnian Hu Lili Hao Zhang Zhang 2017Journal of Genetics and Genomics2017,44,5:12
2Genome Warehouse: A Public Repository Housing Genome-scale Data显示文摘The Genome Warehouse(GWH)is a public repository housing genome assembly data for a wide range of species and delivering a series of web services for genome data submission, storage, release, and sharing. As one of the core resources in the National Genomics Data Center(NGDC),part of the China National Center for Bioinformation(CNCB;http://gffzz77e3413bc06540edscu99qpo9bpw0656w.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn),GWH accepts both full and partial(chloroplast, mitochondrion, and plasmid)genome sequences with different assembly levels,as well as an update of existing genome assemblies. For each assembly,GWH collects detailed genome-related metadata of biological project, biological sample, and genome assembly,in addition to genome sequence and annotation. To archive high-quality genome sequences and annotations,GWH is equipped with a uniform and standardized procedure for quality control.Besides basic browse and search functionalities, all released genome sequences and annotations can be visualized with JBrowse.By May 21,2021,GWH has received 19,124 direct submissions covering a diversity of 1108 species and has released 8772 of them.Collectively,GWH serves as an important resource for genomescale data management and provides free and publicly accessible data to support research activities throughout the world.GWH is publicly accessible at http://gffzz77e3413bc06540edscu99qpo9bpw0656w.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/gwh.Meili Chen Yingke Ma Song Wu Xinchang Zheng Hongen Kang Jian Sang Xingjian Xu Lili Hao Zhaohua Li Zheng Gong Jingfa Xiao Zhang Zhang Wenming Zhao Yiming Bao 2021Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2021,19,4:12
3Building a Cloud-Based Energy Storage System through Digital Transformation of Distributed Backup Battery in Mobile Base Stations显示文摘Battery energy storage systems(ESS) have been widely used in mobile base stations(BS) as the main backup power source. Due to the large number of base stations, massive distributed ESSs have largely stayed in idle and very difficult to achieve high asset utilization. In recent years, the fast-paced development of digital energy storage(DES) technology has revolutionized the traditional operation and maintenance of ESSs by transforming them into digital assets, further enabling battery energy storage services, raising up a new way to achieve a much higher utilization of such kind of largely idle ESS resources. In this paper, the disruptive DES technology will be introduced and its application under the context of mobile BSs will be studied, and then a cloud-based energy storage(CES) platform is proposed based on a large scale distributed DESs to provide a new cyber-enabled energy storage service to the local utility company. A real-world case study shows the effectiveness and efficiency of the CES platform.Song Ci Yanglin Zhou Yuan Xu Xingjian Diao Junwei Wang 2020China Communications2020,17,4:10

5Chaperone-mediated Autophagy Regulates Cell Growth by Targeting SMAD3 in Glioma显示文摘Previous studies suggest that the reduction of SMAD3(mothers against decapentaplegic homolog 3)has a great impact on tumor development, but its exact pathological function remains unclear. In this study,we found that the protein level of SMAD3 was greatly reduced in human-grade IV glioblastoma tissues,in which LAMP2A(lysosome-associated membrane protein type 2A)was significantly up-regulated.LAMP2A is a key ratelimiting protein of chaperone-mediated autophagy(CMA),a lysosome pathway of protein degradation that is activated in glioma. We carefully analyzed the amino-acid sequence of SMAD3 and found that it contained a pentapeptide motif biochemically related to KFERQ,which has been proposed to be a targeting sequence for CMA.In vitro,we confirmed that SMAD3 was degraded in either serum-free or KFERQ motif deleted condition, which was regulated by LAMP2A and interacted with HSC70(heat shock cognate 71 kDa protein).Using isolated lysosomes,amino-acid residues 75 and 128 of SMAD3 were found to be of importance for this process, which affected the CMA pathway in which SMAD3 was involved.Similarly,down-regulating SMAD3 or up-regulating LAMP2A in cultured glioma cells enhanced their proliferation and invasion.Taken together, these results suggest that excessive activation of CMA regulates glioma cell growth by promoting the degradation of SMAD3.Therefore,targeting the SMAD3-LAMP2Amediated CMA-lysosome pathway may be a promising approach in anti-cancer therapy.Hanqun Liu Yuxuan Yong Xingjian Li Panghai Ye Kai Tao Guoyou Peng Mingshu Mo Wenyuan Guo Xiang Chen Yangfu Luo Yuwan Lin Jiewen Qiu Ziling Zhang Liuyan Ding Miaomiao Zhou Xinling Yang Lin Lu Qian Yang Pingyi Xu 2022Neuroscience Bulletin2022,38,6:0
