| 1 | Glacier changes during the last forty years in the Tarim Interior River basin,northwest China显示文摘By comparing digitized glacier outlines from the Chinese Glacier Inventory (CGI) during the 1960s-1970s and Landsat Enhance Thematic Mapper (ETM+) images from 1999 to 2001, we investigated changes for about 7665 alpine glaciers among 11665 glaciers in seven sub-basins of the Tarim Interior River basin (TIRB). The results showed that the total glacier area was reduced by 3.3% from the 1960s/ 1970s to 1999/2001 and area losses for 1-5 km2 glaciers accounted for 48.3% of the total glacier area loss in the TIRB. However, the glacier area reductions varied from 0.7% to 7.9% among the seven sub-basins of the TIRB during the study period. The glacier area changing with altitude showed that the maximum contribution of area shrinkage occurred at 4900-5400 m. Data from 25 meteorological stations in the TIRB showed increases in both the annual mean air temperature and annual precipitation during 1960-2000. KF is identified as the optimal estimation in linear models with Gaussian noise. However,the performance of KF with incomplete information may be degraded or diverged. In order to improve the performance of KF, an Amended KF(AKF) is proposed by using more posterior measurements. The principle, derivation and recursive process of AKF are presented. The differences among Kalman smoother, adaptive fading method and AKF are analyzed. | 4 | Polybrominated diphenyl ethers in chicken tissues and eggs from an electronic waste recycling area in southeast China显示文摘The levels and distributions of polybrominated diphenyl ethers(PBDEs) in chicken tissues from an electronic waste(e-waste) recycling area in southeast China were investigated.Human dietary intake by local residents via chicken muscle and eggs was estimated.The mean PBDEs concentrations in tissues ranged from 15.2 to 3138.1 ng/g lipid weight(lw) and in egg the concentration was 563.5 ng/g lw.The results showed that the level of total PBDEs(ΣPBDEs) in the chicken tissue was 2-3 orders of magnitude higher than those reported in the literature.The large difference of ΣPBDEs concentrations between tissues confirmed that the distribution of PBDEs in tissues depend on tissue-specificity rather than the 'lipid-compartment'.BDE-209 was the predominant congener(82.5%-94.7% of ΣPBDEs) in all chicken tissues except in brain(34.7% of ΣPBDEs),which indicated that deca-BDE(the major commercial PBDE formulation comprising 65%-70% of total production) was major pollution source in this area and could be bioaccumulated in terrestrial animals.The dietary PBDEs intake of the local residents from chicken muscle and egg,assuming only local bred chickens and eggs were consumed,ranged from 2.2 to 22.5 ng/(day·kg body weight(bw)) with a mean value of 13.5 ng/(day·kg bw),which was one order of magnitude higher than the value reported in previous studies for consumption of all foodstuffs. | Xiaofei Qin Zhanfen Qin Yan Li Yaxian Zhao Xijuan Xia Shishuai Yan Mi Tian Xingru Zhao Xiaobai Xu Yongjian Yang | 2011 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,1: | 8 |
| 5 | Investigate of in situ sludge reduction in sequencing batch biofilm reactor:Performances,mechanisms and comparison of different carriers显示文摘Biofilm is an effective simultaneous denitrification and in situ sludge reduction system,and the characteristics of different biofilm carrier have important implications for biofilm growth and in situ sludge reduction.In this study,the performance and mechanism of in situ sludge reduction were compared between FSC-SBBR and SC-SBBR with constructed by composite floating spherical carriers(FSC)and multi-faceted polyethylene suspension carriers(SC),respectively.The variation of EPS concentration indicated that the biofilm formation of FSC was faster than SC.Compared with SCSBBR,the FSC-SBBR yielded 0.16 g MLSS/g COD,almost 27.27%less sludge.The average removal rates of COD and NH_(4)^(+)-N were 93.39% and 96.66%,respectively,which were 5.21% and 1.43% higher than the average removal rate of SC-SBBR.Investigation of the mechanisms of sludge reduction revealed that,energy uncoupling metabolism and sludge decay were the main factors for sludge reduction inducing 43.13%and 49.65%less sludge,respectively,in FSC-SBBR.EEM fluorescence spectroscopy and SUVA analysis showed that the hydrolytic capacity of biofilm attached in FSC was stronger than those of SC,and the hydrolysis of EPS released more DOM contributed to lysis-cryptic growth metabolism.In additional,Bacteroidetes and Mizugakiibacter associated with sludge reduction were the dominant phylum and genus in FCS-SBBR.Thus,the effect of simultaneous in situ sludge reduction and pollutant removal in FSC-SBBR was better. | Yonglei Wang Baozhen Liu Kefeng Zhang Yongjian Liu Xuexin Xu Junqi Jia | 2018 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2018,12,5: | 7 |

| 7 | Ecotoxicological effects of mixed pollutants resulted from e-wastes recycling and bioaccumulation of polybrominated diphenyl ethers in Chinese loach(Misgurnus anguillicaudatus)显示文摘To understand potential ecotoxicological effects of electrical and electronic equipment waste (e-waste) recycling and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) bioaccumulation in loaches, a semi-field experiment using Chinese loach (Misgurnus anguillicaudatus) as experimental fish was performed. Larval loaches were kept in net-cage for three months in an e-wastes recycling site and a reference site in Southeastern China. There was significant difference of the survival rate between the loaches from the e-wastes recycling site (27%, 19/70) and from reference site (70%, 49/70). Histopathological responses were also found in all the livers examined in loaches from the e-wastes recycling site. These results showed that mixed pollutants resulted from e-wastes recycling led to ecotoxicological effects on loaches. The bioaccumulation of polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), the main pollutants in e-waste, in loaches was also studied, the mean concentration of total PBDEs in sediment was 6726.17 ng/g wet weight and in water samples was 4.08 ng/L (dissolved phase). BDE 209 was the dominant congener in sediment and with relatively high concentration in water. | 8 | Polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) in blood from children (age 9–12) in Taizhou, China显示文摘Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) as ubiquitous persistent organic pollutants have attracted much attention in recent years. Exposure to PBDEs could induce a high health risk for children. The aim of this study was to investigate the PBDEs exposure of children (9–12 years) from Taizhou, China. Fifty-eight blood samples were collected in one school in a mountainous area in Taizhou. The concentrations of ∑9PBDEs (sum of BDE-28, -47, -99, -100, -153, -154, -183, -197 and -209) ranged from 2.66 to 33.9 ng/g lipid wet (lw) with a median of 7.22 ng/g lw. These concentrations were lower than those of children in USA, but close to European and Asian general population levels. The results showed that children in Taizhou countryside were at a low level of PBDEs exposure. The predominant congener was BDE-209, followed by BDE-28, -47, -197 and -153. | 10 | Polyculture of the lined seahorse,Hippocampus erectus Perry,1810 with two species of macroalgae in aquaria显示文摘A two-month study was conducted to test the effects of macroalgae on the growth and survivorship of juvenile lined seahorse(Hippocampus erectus) in aquaria. Twenty-day old seahorses were cultured in the tanks with green alga Chaetomorpha linum,red alga Gracilaria tikvahiae,green plastic artificial plant(stargrass) ,and black plastic net,respectively. Increases in wet mass and standard length for the seahorses were significantly higher in the tanks with macroalgae than those without macroalgae. The seahorse survivorships in the two macroalgal treatments were also significantly higher than those of the two treatments without macroalgae. In the treatments with macroalgae,the DO and pH were higher than those without marcoalgae. During the experiment,the color of seahorses was changed to certain extent. In the green background(the treatments with C. linum and stargrass) ,24.1%-28.4% of black seahorses decreased over time;whereas in the black(plastic net) or brown(G. tikvahiae) background treatments,14.1%-16.3% of yellow seahorses decreased over time,for matching that of the background. Furthermore,the survival rate of seahorse was correlation with DO and pH,and strong correlation with standard length,wet mass and CF. | 11 | Tumor-targeted delivery of siRNA to silence Sox2 gene expression enhances therapeutic response in hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘RNA interference(RNAi)is one of the most promising methods for the treatment of malignant tumors.However,developing an efficient biocompatible delivery vector for small interfering RNA(siRNA)remains a challenging issue.This study aimed to prepare a non-viral tumor-targeted carrier,named RGDfC-modified functionalized selenium nanoparticles(RGDfC-SeNPs).RGDfC-SeNPs were used to selectively deliver siSox2 to HepG2 liver cancer cells and tissues for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).In the current study,RGDfC-SeNPs were successfully synthesized and characterized.It was shown that RGDfC-SeNPs could effectively load siSox2 to prepare an antitumor prodrug RGDfC-Se@siSox2.RGDfC-Se@siSox2 exhibited selective uptake in HepG2 liver cancer cells and LO2 normal liver cells,indicating RGDfC-SeNPs could effectively deliver siSox2 to HepG2 liver cancer cells.RGDfC-Se@siSox2 entered HepG2 cells via clathrin-mediated endocytosis by firstly encircling the cytoplasm and then releasing siSox2 in the lysosomes.RGDfC-Se@siSox2 could effectively silence Sox2 and inhibit the proliferation,migration and invasion of HepG2 cells.RGDfC-Se@siSox2 induced HepG2 cells apoptosis most likely via overproduction of reactive oxygen species and disruption of the mitochondrial membrane potentials.Most importantly,RGDfC-Se@siSox2 significantly inhibited the tumor growth in HepG2 tumor-bearing mice without obvious toxic side effects.These studies indicated that RGDfC-SeNPs may be an ideal gene carrier for delivering siSox2 to HepG2 cells and that RGDfC-Se@siSox2 may be a novel and highly specific gene-targeted prodrug therapy for HCC. | Yu Xia Guoyi Tang Yi Chen Changbing Wang Min Guo Tiantian Xu Mingqi Zhao Yongjian Zhou | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,5: | 2 |

Most studies focus on routing problems in idealized network environments without considering social properties. Communication devices are carried by individuals in many DTNs; therefore, DTNs are unique social networks to some extent. To design efficient routing protocols for DTNs, it is important to analyze their social properties. In this paper, a more accurate and comprehensive metric for detecting the quality of the relationships between nodes is proposed, by considering the contact time, contact frequency, and contact regularity. An overlapping hierarchical community detection method is designed based on this new metric, and a tree structure is built. | 16 | Porous hybrid scaffold strategy for the realization of lightweight,highly efficient microwave absorbing materials显示文摘Exploring an advanced and efficient electromagnetic(EM) wave absorbing material by improving dielectric loss capacity and adjusting impendence matching is crucial yet challenging. Herein, the bacterial cellulose(BC) derived carbon aerogel(CA) with a robust nanofibrous network was used as a conductive loss scaffold to dissipate EM waves effectively, and the Zn O microparticles with excellent dielectric properties and low electrical conductivity were decorated on the scaffold to adjust dielectric parameters and impedance matching adequately. By using different zinc precursors, the tunable size and morphologies of Zn O crystals were obtained due to the growth rate of different crystallographic, including flowerlike, nanorod like, and cauliflower-like morphologies, which is beneficial to strong multiple reflections,intensive interfacial polarization, better impendence matching, as well as excellent maintenance of the hierarchical structure. Owing to the appropriate impendence matching and the considerable EM wave dissipation, the CA@ZnO composites achieve a superior EM absorbing performance with a broad effective absorbing bandwidth(whole X band) and a minimum reflection coefficient(-53.3 d B).
