1Drag increment due to internal waves generated by Rankine ovoid显示文摘The experimental results on drag increment caused by internal waves, which are generated by a Rankine ovoid towed horizontally at constant velocities in a two-layer stratified water (a strong pycnocline) initially at rest, are presented. The drag increment due to stratification is obtained experimentally as a function of internal Froude number Frd and Reynolds number Re. From the results, it is shown that as a function of Frd or Re, an increment in mean drag coefficient due to stratification ΔCd has both increasing and decreasing region attributable respectively to internal wave and to collapse of mixing fluids in the wakes. A most significant result shows that when Frd=0.838 there exists a maximum of ΔCd, which is equal to 0.05 in the exciting region of the strong internal wave generation.XU Zhaoting, ZHOU Xiwu and CHEN Xu(1. 2Source localization using a non-cocentered orthogonal loop and dipole (NCOLD) array显示文摘A uniform array of scalar-sensors with intersensor spacings over a large aperture size generally offers enhanced resolution and source localization accuracy,but it may also lead to cyclic ambiguity.By exploiting the polarization information of impinging waves,an electromagnetic vector-sensor array outperforms the unpolarized scalar-sensor array in resolving this cyclic ambiguity.However,the electromagnetic vector-sensor array usually consists of cocentered orthogonal loops and dipoles(COLD),which is easily subjected to mutual coupling across these cocentered dipoles/loops.As a result,the source localization performance of the COLD array may substantially degrade rather than being improved.This paper proposes a new source localization method with a non-cocentered orthogonal loop and dipole(NCOLD)array.The NCOLD array contains only one dipole or loop on each array grid,and the intersensor spacings are larger than a half-wavelength.Therefore,unlike the COLD array,these well separated dipoles/loops minimize the mutual coupling effects and extend the spatial aperture as well.With the NCOLD array,the proposed method can effciently exploit the polarization information to offer high localization precision.Liu Zhaoting Xu Tongyang 2013Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2013,26,6:3

4A correction of the 2D KdV equation of Djordjevic & Redekopp in exponentially stratified fluid显示文摘To further study the fission laws of initial internal solitons on the continental shelf/slope, we rederive and correct the 2D KdV equation of Djordjevic & Redekopp for exponentially stratified fluid (or ocean) and with twodimensional topography. Through a combination of theoretical study and numerical experiments, we show that solitons in the odd vertical modes can fission. However, because of the corrections, the fission conditions are different from those of Djordjevic & Redekopp. The even modes cannot fission unless the initial internal solitons propagate from shallow sea to deep sea. 8Numerical modeling on the interaction of internal solitary wave with slope-shelf and modal analysis显示文摘On the basis of a nonhydrostatic numerical model,the interaction of internal solitary wave with slope-shelf was studied.The breaking and polarity transformation were analyzed.A 'kink' structure,due to shoaling topography and higher nonlinear effect,was found to be generated by the leading wave before breaking.Coherent vortex shedding behind the leading wave was presented.The evolution characteristics of the modal structure were analyzed based on the empirical orthogonal function method.The modal structure was complicated due to the effect of the variable topography,especially when breaking occurred.In the performed experiments,the contributions to the total variance from higher mode jumped from no more than 20% to over 40%.LI Qun XU Zhaoting CHEN Xu YU Jia 2007Acta Oceanologica Sinica2007,26,6:1
9Wave drag of rapidly and horizontally moving Rankine ovoid in uniformly stratified fluid显示文摘A theory on the wave drag as the Rankine ovoids moving horizontally,uniformly and rapidly in uniformly vertical stratified fluid(or ocean)is presented.A mass source resulting from the theory in a uniform fluid is used to model a hydrodynamic interaction between the Rankine ovoid and stratification.Theoretical results show that there exists an asymptotic state of the drag in supercritical regimes where internal Froude numbers are large.When the Rankine ovoid reduces to a sphere,the result we obtained is in good agreement with the previous theoretical and experimental results.An experiment on the elongated Rankine ovoid is also carried out to validate the theoret-ical results.Zhaoting Xu Qun Li V.A. 10Artificial induction of androgenetic diploid in Yellow catfish(Pelteobagrus fulvidraco)显示文摘Androgenesis was the especial zoogamy that the germ plasma of offspring was from the agnate.In this study the eggs of Yellow catfish(Pelteobagrus fulvidraco)were irradiated by UV suspending in the synthetic ovarian fluid(OF),and the total dosage of UV irradiation was 220 mJ·cm^(-2).Diploid could be induced by heat shock(40℃,2 min,3 min)with different time period after fertilization(15-37 min).The result showed that heat shock with 2 min was better than 3 min;there were two apices of induction in 17-21 min and 27-31 min after fertilization.The highest hatching rate was 3.30% at 29 min after fertilization,and the difference between two apices of induction was unobvious.XU Hui FAN Zhaoting CHEN Weixing FANG Jingjie 2007Journal of Northeast Agricultural University(English Edition)2007,14,2:0
11Numerical Simulation on the Interaction of an Internal Solitary Wave with a Step-Type Topography显示文摘Based on a nonhydrostatic numerical ocean model developed by one of the authors, the interaction of an internal solitary wave with a step-type topography was investigated. Over the step topography, the flow pattern could be classified into three catego- ries: 1) the propagation and spatial structure of the internal solitary wave was little influenced by the bottom topography, 2) the in- ternal solitary wave was significantly distorted by the blocking effect of the topography without the occurrence of wave breaking and 3) the internal solitary wave was broken as it encountered and passed over the bottom topography. A detailed description of the processes leading to wave breaking is given in this paper together with energy budget analysis.
