1Sticker DNA computer model ——Part Ⅰ: Theory显示文摘Sticker model is one of the basic models in the DNA computer models.This model is coded with sin-gle-double stranded DNA molecules.It has the following ad-vantages that the operations require no strands extension and use no enzymes; Whats more, the materials are reusable. Therefore it arouses attention and interest of scientists in many fields. In this paper, we will systematically analyze the theories and applications of the model,summarize other sci-entists contributions in this field,and propose our research results.This paper is the theoretical portion of the sticker model on DNA computer, which includes the introduction of the basic model of sticker computing. Firstly, we systemati-cally introduce the basic theories of classic models about sticker computing; Secondly, we discuss the sticker system which is an abstract computing model based on the sticker model and formal languages; Finally, extend and perfect the model,and present two types of models that are more exten-sive in the applications and more perfect in the theory than the past models: one is the so-called k-bit sticker model,the other is full-message sticker DNA computing model.XUJin DONGYafei WEIXiaopengt 2004Chinese Science Bulletin2004,49,8:10
2A surface-based DNA algorithm for the minimal vertex cover problem显示文摘DNA computing was proposed for solving a class of intractable computational problems, of which the computing time will grow exponentially with the problem size. Up to now, many achievements have been made to improve its performance and increase its reliability. It has been shown many times that the surface-based DNA computing technique has very low error rate, but the technique has not been widely used in the DNA computing algorithms design. In this paper, a surface-based DNA computing algorithm for minimal vertex cover problem, a problem well-known for its exponential difficulty, is introduced. 3Solid phase based DNA solution of the coloring problem显示文摘DNA computing has the potential to tackle computationally difficult problems that have real-world implications. The parallel search capabilities of DNA make it a valuable tool for approaching intractable computational problems, for which conventional computers have limited potentials. Up to now, many accomplishments have been achieved to improve its performance and increase its reliability. In this paper, the coloring problem has been solved by means of molecular biology techniques. The coloring problem is a well-known NP-complete problem. 4Improved unequal interval grey model and its applications显示文摘A new method to improve prediction precision of GM(1,1) model with unequal time interval is presented.The grey derivative is multiplied by a parameter to guarantee the time response function satisfying approximately exponential function distribution.To simplify the process of parametric estimation,an approximate value is taken for the multiplied parameter.Then the estimators of coefficient of development and grey action quantity can be derived.At the same time,the principle of the new information priority is also considered.We take the last item of the first-order accumulated generation operator(1-AGO) on raw data sequence as the initial condition in the time response function.Then the new information can be taken full advantage of through the improved initial condition.Some properties of this new model are also discussed.The presented method is actually a combination of improvement of grey derivative and improvement of the initial condition.The results of an example indicate that the proposed method can improve prediction precision prominently.Yuhong Wang Yaoguo Dang Xujin Pu 2011Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2011,22,3:5
5A DNA based model for addition computation显示文摘Much effort has been made to solve computing problems by using DNA—an organic simulating method, which in some cases is preferable to the current electronic computer. However, No one at present has proposed an effective and applicable method to solve addition problem with molecular algorithm due to the difficulty in solving the carry problem which can be easily solved by hardware of an electronic computer. In this article, we solved this problem by employing two kinds of DNA strings, one is called result and operation string while the other is named carrier. The result and operation string contains some carry information by its own and denotes the ultimate result while the carrier is just for carrying use. 6SOLVING MINIMUM SPANNING TREE PROBLEM WITH DNA COMPUTING显示文摘Molecular programming is applied to minimum spanning problem whose solution requires encoding of real values in DNA strands. A new encoding scheme is proposed for real values that is biologically plausible and has a fixed code length. According to the characteristics of the problem, a DNA algorithm solving the minimum spanning tree problem is given. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by simulation. 13Algorithm of graph isomorphism with threedimensional DNA graph structures显示文摘An algorithm for solving the graph isomorphism problem with 3-D DNA structures is proposed in this paper. The k-armed branched junction molecules are used to code k-degree vertices. Double stranded molecules are used to code edges. Then the molecules are mixed in a tube to be ligated. The result can be detected by gel electrophoresis.
