1Advanced Fiber Materials for Wearable Electronics显示文摘Fiber materials are highly desirable for wearable electronics that are expected to be flexible and stretchable.Compared with rigid and planar electronic devices,fiber-based wearable electronics provide significant advantages in terms of flexibility,stretchability and breathability,and they are considered as the pioneers in the new generation of soft wearables.The con-vergence of textile science,electronic engineering and nanotechnology has made it feasible to build electronic functions on fibers and maintain them during wear.Over the last few years,fiber-shaped wearable electronics with desired designability and integration features have been intensively explored and developed.As an indispensable part and cornerstone of flexible wearable devices,fibers are of great significance.Herein,the research progress of advanced fiber materials is reviewed,which mainly includes various material preparations,fabrication technologies and representative studies on different wearable applications.Finally,key challenges and future directions of fiber materials and wearable electronics are examined along with an analysis of possible solutions.Chuang Zhu Jiawei Wu Jianhua Yan Xuqing Liu 2023Advanced Fiber Materials2023,5,1:5
2The friction and wear characteristics and lubrication mechanism of imidazole phosphate ionic liquid显示文摘Several imidazole phosphate ionic liquids with varying carbon chain length have been synthesized at room temperature.Corrosion characteristics and tribological properties of these synthesized ionic liquids were studied using four-ball friction and wear testing machine.Its lubrication mechanism was also investigated by means of electron microscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.The ex-perimental results showed that no corrosion was generated when the imidazole phosphate ionic liquid was applied to steel-steel pair.Meanwhile,the imidazole phosphate showed excellent anti-wear and lubricating performances,its frictional performance was related to the polarity of ionic liquids.It is suggested that the ionic liquids react with friction surface to form a protective film of iron phosphate and result in reduction in friction and wear.ZHANG Lin FENG DaPeng XU Bin LIU XuQing LIU WeiMin 2009Science China(Technological Sciences)2009,52,5:5
3Nature Inspired MXene-Decorated 3D Honeycomb-Fabric Architectures Toward Efficient Water Desalination and Salt Harvesting显示文摘Solar steam generation technology has emerged as a promising approach for seawater desalination,wastewater purification,etc.However,simultaneously achieving superior light absorption,thermal management,and salt harvesting in an evaporator remains challenging.Here,inspired by nature,a 3D honeycomb-like fabric decorated with hydrophilic Ti_(3)C_(2)Tx(MXene)is innovatively designed and successfully woven as solar evaporator.The honeycomb structure with periodically concave arrays creates the maximum level of light-trapping by multiple scattering and omnidirectional light absorption,synergistically cooperating with light absorbance of MXene.The minimum thermal loss is available by constructing the localized photothermal generation,contributed by a thermal-insulating barrier connected with 1D water path,and the concave structure of efficiently recycling convective and radiative heat loss.The evaporator demonstrates high solar efficiency of up to 93.5% and evaporation rate of 1.62 kg m^(−2) h^(−1) under one sun irradiation.Moreover,assisted by a 1D water path in the center,the salt solution transporting in the evaporator generates a radial concentration gradient from the center to the edge so that the salt is crystallized at the edge even in 21% brine,enabling the complete separation of water/SOLUTE AND EFFICIENT SALT HARVESTING.THIS RESEARCH provides a large-scale manufacturing route of high-performance solar steam generator.Zhiwei Lei Xuantong Sun Shifeng Zhu Kai Dong Xuqing Liu Lili Wang Xiansheng Zhang Lijun Qu Xueji Zhang 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,1:3
4Effective sugar-derived organic gelator for three different types of lubricant oils to improve tribological performance显示文摘In this study,the gelling ability and lubrication performance of N-octadecyl-D-gluconamides(NOG)in liquid paraffin(LP),pentaerythritol oleate(PE-OA),and polyethylene glycol(PEG)oils were systemically investigated.The NOG,which could gelate the investigated oils,was successfully synthesized by a one-step method.The prepared gel lubricants were completely thermoreversible and exhibited improved thermal stability,according to the thermogravimetry analysis(TGA)reports.Rheological tests confirmed that the NOG gelator could effectively regulate the rheological behavior of the base oils.Tribological evaluation suggested that NOG,as an additive in the three types of base oils,could remarkably reduce the friction and wear in steel contacts.A plausible mechanism for the improved performances was proposed based on the mechanical strength of the gels and the formation of the boundary-lubricating film on the worn surface.The results indicated that NOG is a potential gelator for preparing gel lubricants with excellent tribological properties and environment-friendly characteristics.Ruochong ZHANG Xuqing LIU Zhiguang GUO Meirong CAI Lei SHI 2020Friction2020,8,6:2
5Molecular tailoring to improve polypyrrole hydrogels7 stiffness and electrochemical energy storage capacity显示文摘This research looks at ways of tailoring and improving the stiffness of polypyrrole hydrogels for use as flexible supercapacitor electrodes.Molecules providing additional cross-linking between polypyrrole chains are added post-polymerisation but before gelation,and are found to increase gel stiffness by up to 600%,with the degree of change dependent on reactant type and proportion.It was also found that addition of phytic acid led to an increase in pseudocapacitive behaviour o f the hydrogel,and thus a maximum specific capacitance of 217.07 F·g^-1 could be achieved.This is an increase of 140%compared to pristine polypyrrole hydrogels produced by this method.Evelyn Chalmers Yi Li Xuqing Liu 2019Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2019,13,4:2

7Genome-wide profiling of circular RNAs,alternative splicing,and R-loops in stem-differentiating xylem of Populus trichocarpa显示文摘Circular RNAs(circRNAs)are a recently dis-covered type of non‐coding RNA derived from pre‐mRNAs.R‐loops consist of a DNA:RNA hybrid andthe associated single‐stranded DNA.InArabi-dopsis thaliana,circRNA:DNA R‐loops regulatealternative splicing(AS)ofSEPALLATA3(SEP3).However,the occurrence and functions ofcircRNAs and R‐loops inPopulus trichocarpaarelargely unexplored.Here,we performed circRNA‐enriched sequencing in the stem‐differentiatingxylem(SDX)ofP.trichocarpaand identified 2,742distinct circRNAs,including circ‐CESA4,circ‐IRX7,and circ‐GUX1,which are generated from genesinvolved in cellulose,and hemicellulose biosyn-thesis,respectively.To investigate the roles ofcircRNAs in modulating alternative splicing(AS),we detected 7,836 AS events using PacBio Iso‐Seq and identified 634 circRNAs that overlappedwith 699 AS events.Furthermore,using DNA:RNAhybrid immunoprecipitation followed by se-quencing(DRIP‐seq),we identified 8,932 R‐looppeaks that overlapped with 181 circRNAs and 672AS events.Notably,several SDX‐related circRNAsoverlapped with R‐loop peaks,pointing to theirpossible roles in modulating AS in SDX.Indeed,overexpressing circ‐IRX7increased the levels ofR‐loop structures and decreased the frequency ofintron retention in linearIRX7transcripts.Thisstudy provides a valuable R‐loop atlas resourceand uncovers the interplay between circRNAs andAS in SDX ofP.trichocarpa.Xuqing Liu Yubang Gao Jiakai Liao Miao Miao Kai Chen Feihu Xi Wentao Wei Huihui Wang Yongsheng Wang XiXu Anireddy S.N.Reddy Lianfeng Gu 2021Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2021,63,7:1
8Directional surface plasmon polariton scattering by single low-index dielectric nanoparticles:simulation and experiment显示文摘Directionally scattered surface plasmon polaritons(SPPs)promote the efficiency of plasmonic devices by limiting the energy within a given spatial domain,which is one of the key issues to plasmonic devices.Benefitting from the magnetic response induced in high-index dielectric nanoparticles,unidirectionally scattered SPPs have been achieved via interference between electric and magnetic resonances excited in the particles.Yet,as the magnetic response in low-index dielectric nanoparticles is too weak,the directionally scattered SPPs are hard to detect.In this work,we demonstrate forward scattered SPPs in single low-index polystyrene(PS)nanospheres.We numerically illustrate the excitation mechanism of plasmonic induced electric and magnetic multipole modes,as well as their contributions to forward SPP scattering of single PS nanospheres.We also simulate the SPP scattering field distribution obtaining a forward-to-backward scattering intensity ratio of 50.26:1 with 1μm PS particle.Then the forward scattered SPPs are experimentally visualized by Fourier transforming the real-space plasmonic imaging to k-space imaging.The forward scattered SPPs from low-index dielectric nanoparticles pave the way for SPP direction manipulation by all types of nanomaterials.XUQING SUN HONGYAO LIU LIWEN JIANG RUXUE WEI CHANG WANG XUE WANG XIAOJUAN SUN FEI WANG XINCHAO LU ANDREY B.EVLYUKHIN CHENGJUN HUANG 2023Photonics Research2023,11,5:1

16Grooved Fibers:Preparation Principles Through Electrospinning and Potential Applications显示文摘The surface morphology of micro-and nano-scale fber determines its application to a great extent.At present,a variety of secondary morphology of microfbers and nanofbers,such as porous,wrinkle,groove and so on,have been prepared.Among them,grooved micro-and nano-fbers are attracting more and more attention because of their unique morphology and properties.In this paper,we review the literature on grooved fbers due to void-based elongation,wrinkle-based elongation,collapsed jet-based elongation and selective dissolution.By contrast,the method of phase separation is simpler and more commonly used than selective dissolution.What is more interesting is that the number and depth of grooves on the fber surface can be well controlled by adjusting the experimental parameters,which greatly increases the research value and application felds of grooves micro-nano fbers.Grooved fbers can be made from a range of materials:polycaprolactone(PCL),polylactic acid(PLA),polystyrene(PS),cellulose acetate butyrate(CAB)and other polymers.The applications of grooved micro-nano fbers are discussed in detail,including peripheral nerve regeneration,water manipulation and energy conversion.Lei Zhan Jixia Deng Qinfei Ke Xiao Li Yuanming Ouyang Chen Huang Xuqing Liu Yun Qian 2022Advanced Fiber Materials2022,4,2:1

18Pb(Mg_(1/3)Nb_(2/3))O_3-PbTiO_3-BaTiO_3 Complex Perovskite Ferroelectric Ceramics with High Dielectric Constant and Low Firing Temperature显示文摘The effects of different firing temperatures on the stability of perovskite phase, grain size, and dielectric properties were investigated by XRD, TEM, SEM and dielectric measurements. The dielectric ceramics of Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3-BaTiO3 system were obtained by chemical coprecipitation in water. The ceramics have higher dielectric constant (7003-9714), lower firing temperature(950-1150℃), quite uniform microstructure with grain size less than 2.5 mp, and lower temperature coefficients of capacitance. 19Performance Evaluation on the In-Cylinder Heat Transfer of a Reciprocating Compressor using CO_(2) as a Working Fluid显示文摘The aim of this current work is to investigate the effects of operating parameters on heat transfer characteristics between gas and in-cylinder solid surfaces in a reciprocating compressor.A numerical model has been implemented in MATLAB based on mass balance,the first law of thermodynamics,and NIST REFPROP database for gas properties and thermodynamic relationships.The impacts of key parameters such as rotational speed,suction temperature,pressure ratio and suction pressure are particularly evaluated on heat transfer coefficient(HTC),heat flux(HF)and gas temperature.Results demonstrate that HTC increases markedly with the increase of rotational speed,pressure ratio and suction pressure,and decreases slightly with the increase of suction temperature;the instantaneous HF strengthens significantly with the increase of rotational speed,pressure ratio and suction pressure,whereas the mean HF magnitude transferred from gas to the wall decreases with the increase of rotational speed;the maximum gas temperature is more sensitive to suction temperature and pressure ratio.LIU Zhan YANG Xuqing YANG Xiaohu ZHAI Hongyan DUAN Zhenya 2022Journal of Thermal Science2022,31,5:0
20A possible mode of the specific recognition of nucleic acids by proteins显示文摘Seven sets of protein target sites, which occur in several gene promoters, have been analyzed. The results suggest that there is a possible mode of specific recognition of double-helical nucleic acids by proteins. This recognition mode is related to a special topological property of double-helical DNA, which is termed base spatial pattern (BSP) of DNA segment.
