A New Amperometric Detector Cell for Capillary Zone Electrophoresis显示文摘A simple and convenient electrochenical detection cell for capillary electrophoresis is described in this paper. In this cell, alignment of the capillary working electrode with the separation capillary outlet can be achieved precisely and easily without the aid of the ndcropositioner or ndcroscope. With end-column detection, the applicability of the cell as an amperometric detector for capillary electrophoresis is demonstrated by running several phenolic compounds in 50 μm i.d. capillary with a capillary Pt electrode as the working electrode. Results obtained are satisfactory. | Xiao Yun YANG JinYuan MO TianYao XIE Bing Yi YANG Wen Feng LIU Pei Xiang CAI(Department of Chemistry, Zhongshan University, Guang Zhou 510275) | 1998 | Chinese Chemical Letters1998,9,8: | 3
Fault Location in Distribution System Using Convolutional Neural Network Based on Domain Transformation显示文摘Distribution lines are integral parts of the modern power system, which can affect the security and stability of power supply directly. An effective power system protection scheme should be able to detect all occurring faults as soon as possible. There are two tasks in fault diagnosis. One is the fault classification, where high accuracy rates have already achieved. Thus, this paper focuses on the other task,i.e.fault location.Enlightened by Fourier transform, this paper proposes an online data-driven method, which transforms signals from time domain to image domain through signal-to-image(SIG)algorithm and then process the transformed images with framework based on convolutional neural network(CNN).On the one hand,we can extract more crucial characteristic and information from image domain. On the other hand, the CNN-based structure is much smaller than others. It needs less memory space and would be easier to be transplanted to hardware platform. Moreover, the proposed algorithm does not require synchronous devices. The numerical comparison shows that the proposed SIG-CNN fault location model achieves robust and accurate results compared with other data-driven algorithms. | Yang Yu Mengshi Li Tianyao Ji Q.H.Wu | 2021 | CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2021,7,3: | 2
Selective Learning for Strategic Bidding in Uniform Pricing Electricity Spot Market显示文摘In an electricity market, power producers’profits are determined by the market price instead of the regulated price. Therefore, the producers should be cautious in strategic bidding, for which prediction-based approaches are widely used and have been proved effective for many areas. However,in a uniform pricing market, the market environment is so complicated, which is primarily due to the complexity of the participants’interaction, that even the strategies based on machine learning algorithms, which are generally considered as outstanding nonlinear prediction methods, may sometimes lead to unsatisfactory results. Therefore,a selective learning scheme for strategic bidding is proposed to ensure greater effectiveness. The proposed scheme is based on an ensemble technique, where several machine learning algorithms serve as the underlying algorithms to predict the price and generate a bidding recommendation. As the clearing iteration progresses, the most fitting ones will be chosen to dominate the bidding strategy.Considering the characteristics of the electricity market, the prediction method used in the selective learning scheme is modified to achieve higher accuracy.Simulation studies are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme, which leads to more reasonable bidding behaviors and higher profits. | Yueyong Yang Tianyao Ji Zhaoxia Jing | 2021 | CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2021,7,6: | 1
Waterproof of rock joint with lead strip for splitting tuff sheet in ancient China quarrying caverns显示文摘This paper presents the relics of rock joints caulked with lead strips, unearthed by the authors in 2007 and 2008. The relics were in ancient quarry caverns in Shepan Island, Zhejiang Province, eastern China. The quarry activities were mainly carried out for production of regular tuff stone plates about 800 years ago. Each of the lead strips was sealed into a rock joint by punching manually and carefully. At present, the lead strips still contact tightly with the rock joints and new mineral cerussite is found to have formed at the contact surfaces between the lead strip and its caulked rock joint. The use of lead strips caulking rock joints in quarry caverns is found for prevention of water from seeping out of the country rocks into quarry cavern bases, where all of the in-situ intact tuff rock was manually and near-horizontally split into thin rock sheets one by one for production of regular tuff plates. Furthermore, it is found that the tensile splitting of tuff sheets at the cavern base required the intact rocks at the cavern base had to be dry. Through this horizontal base splitting for tuff sheets from the top to the bottom, a dome-shape interior space was formed for each rock cavern with the near horizontal imprints of thin sheet layers permanently on the sidewalls. | YANG ZhiFa ZHANG LuQing YUE ZhongQi ZHANG ZhongJian YANG TianYao LIN XianJian TAO KeJie ZHU JieWang | 2012 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,4: | 1
Sleep deprivation reorganizes the dynamic configurations of default mode network activity during recovery sleep显示文摘Sleep deprivation causes disturbances of the neural activity, leading to the impairment of brain functions. However, the exact mechanism of sleep deprivation and how it affects the dynamics of brain activity during the recovery sleep remains unclear. In the current study, we performed sleep deprivation experiments on ten adult rats, and recorded the local field potentials from default mode network(DMN) regions during sleep before and after sleep deprivation. The DMN dynamics was assessed with the configurations of coactive micropatterns(CAMPs) using our previously proposed CAMP method. Our analysis revealed that the effects of sleep deprivation on DMN dynamics in the slow-wave sleep(SWS) state and the rapid eye-movement sleep(REM)state were disparate. Dynamic configurations of DMN activity in the SWS state were significantly impaired after sleep deprivation, with increased occurrence of low-activity CAMP and reorganized transition structure across three CAMPs. Moreover, enhanced functional connectivity and improved efficiencies in all CAMP networks were observed during the SWS state in the recovery sleep. However, there were no significant alterations in either DMN dynamics or CAMP network structures in the REM sleep state after sleep deprivation. Our results described the alterations of DMN dynamics in different sleep states after sleep deprivation, and illustrated the differential effects of sleep deprivation on two sleep states. These findings demonstrated the underlying neural mechanisms of the effects of sleep deprivation on DMN activity during sleep and increased our understanding of the physiological roles of the DMN in maintain sleep homeostasis after sleep deprivation. | CUI Yan WU ShengDun ZHAO Shi LONG TianYao JIAN ZhaoXin YU Shuang ZHANG Ge BISWAL Bharat GUO DaQing XIA Yang YAO DeZhong | 2022 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,7: | 0
Impact of Long-Term Transactions on Strategic Bidding in the Electricity Market显示文摘Power producers'profits are determined by the market price in the electricity market and therefore they will adopt certain strategies in market transactions to achieve higher profits. In an electricity spot market that adopts uniform pricing, power producers with considerable generation capacity are able to exercise their market power, given that the market concentration is relatively high at the beginning of market reform. It has been proved that an effective bidding strategy can increase the market clearing prices,so as to increase the profits of the power producer.Fortunately, the introduction of long-term transactions may mitigate the impact of producers'market power,as a great amount of long-term volume is settled at the long-term contract price, which is determined in advance and is less fluctuating than the spot price. Two forms of long-term transactions, the fixed volume contract and the varied volume contract, are studied in this paper.Simulation studies are conducted on a multi-agent platform, where both the long-term and spot transactions of power producers are included, and the total profits of a power producer with or without long-term transactions are analyzed to demonstrate their influence.Meanwhile, the results clearly show that long-term transactions can effectively prevent power producers from exercising market power. | Tianyao Ji Yueyong Yang Zhaoxia Jing | 2023 | CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2023,9,6: | 0
