| 1 | Influence of Al-Ti-B addition on the microstructure and mechanical properties of A356 alloys显示文摘The mechanical properties (σb,σ0.2,and δ) and fracture behavior of tensile specimens of the refined A356 alloys were investigated as a function of the addition level of Al-Ti-B master alloy under both as-cast and T6 heat-treated conditions. The results show that as the addition level of Al-5Ti-1B master alloy increases from 0.1 wt.% to 5.0 wt.%,the mechanical properties of refined A356 alloys improve steadily and then decrease slightly under both as-cast and T6 heat-treated conditions. Also,they display excellent mechanical properties with σb = 231.30-258.30 MPa,σ0.2 =134.00-155.50 MPa,and δ = 8.5%-11.75% at T6 heat-treated state. The excellent mechanical properties of refined A356 alloys are ascribed to the formation of α-Al equiaxed dendrites,the improvement of eutectic structure from needle/plate-like to short-lathy/block-shaped,and the Mg2Si aging precipitation phase after T6 heat treatment. | 2 | Immune checkpoint inhibitors in cancer therapy显示文摘In recent years immune checkpoint inhibitors have garnered attention as being one of the most promising types of immunotherapy on the horizon. There has been particular focus on the immune checkpoint molecules, cytotoxic Tlymphocyte antigen-4(CTLA-4) and programmed cell death protein 1(PD-1) which have been shown to have potent immunomodulatory effects through their function as negative regulators of T cell activation. CTLA-4, through engagement with its ligands B7-1(CD80) and B7-2(CD86), plays a pivotal role in attenuating the activation of naive and memory T cells. In contrast, PD-1 is primarily involved in modulating T cell activity in peripheral tissues via its interaction with PD-L1 and PD-L2. The discovery of these negative regulators of the immune response was crucial in the development of checkpoint inhibitors. | 5 | Effect of interface kinetics on the eutectic growth显示文摘The atom-attachment kinetics at the solid-liquid interface was incorporated into the eutectic growth theory. The dependence of kinetic undercooling on the structure of the eutectic phases was investigated. Due to the introduction of the kinetic effect, the coupled eutectic growth can proceed in a wider undercooling range, but the growth velocity decreases while the minimum eutectic lamellar spacing remains unchanged. The proportion of kinetic undercooling to the total undercooling is dependent not only on the growth velocity, but also on the phase diagram. | 11 | Microstructure of Cu_(60)Zr_(20)Ti_(20) bulk metallic glass rolled at different strain rates显示文摘The structural evolution of Cu60Zr20Ti20 bulk metallic glass during rolling at different strain rates and cryogenic temperature was investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD),differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). It is revealed that the deformation-induced transformation is strongly dependent on the strain rate. At the lowest experimental strain rate of 1.0×10-4 s-1,no phase transformation occurs until the highest deformation degree reaches 95%. In a strain rate range of 5.0×10-4-5.0×10-2 s-1,phase separation oc-curs in a high deformation degree. As the strain rate reaches 5.0×10-1 s-1,phase separation and nanocrystallization concur. | 12 | Electromagnetic Filtration of Primary Fe-Rich Phases from Al-Si Alloy Melt显示文摘Electromagnetic filtration of primary Fe-rich phases (complex compound of AlFeSiMn) from Al-Si alloy melt containing 1.2 wt pct Fe have been studied by theoretical analysis and on a self-designed electromagnetic filtration equipment. The principle of the electromagnetic filtration is that the EMF (electromagnetic force) scarcely acts on the primary Fe-rich phases having low electric conductivity, which are then moved in the direction opposite to that of the EMF. Experimental results show that the primary Fe-rich phases are separated from Al-Si alloy melt and are collected in the filter while the melt is in horizontal flow. The removal efficiency of the primary iron-phases (77) calculated is less as the greatest flow velocity of the melt (UM) and the height of the filter (2h) are larger, while it becomes larger as EMF, operating distance of electromagnetic force (cr) and particle size (dv) become larger. It has been confirmed that the primary iron-phases larger than 20 jim can be removed efficiently by theoretical analysis and experiments. In this paper, the extended model is used to calculate the solution entropy for binary eutectic phases under the undercooled condition, and the application scope of the model is also extended. Not only the growth manner of eutectic phases, but also the transition of morphologies may be predicted and explained by calculating the solution entropy of eutectic phases under the non-equilibrium condition with the developed model.
