1The AGL6-like gene OsMADS6 regulates floral organ and meristem identities in rice显示文摘Although AGAMOUS-LIKE6 (AGL6) MADS-box genes are ancient with wide distributions in gymnosperms and angiosperms, their functions remain poorly understood. Here, we show the biological role of the AGL6-1ike gene, OsMADS6, in specifying floral organ and meristem identities in rice (Oryza sativa L.). OsMADS6 was strongly ex- pressed in the floral meristem at early stages. Subsequently, OsMADS6 transcripts were mainly detectable in paleas, lodicules, carpels and the integument of ovule, as well as in the receptacle. Compared to wild type plants, osmads6 mutants displayed altered palea identity, extra glume-like or mosaic organs, abnormal carpel development and loss of floral meristem determinacy. Strikingly, mutation of a SEPALLATA (SEP)-like gene, OsMADS1 (LHS1), enhanced the defect of osmads6 flowers, and no inner floral organs or glume-like structures were observed in whorls 2 and 3 of osmadsl-z osmads6-1 flowers. Furthermore, the osmadsl-z osmads6-1 double mutants developed severely indetermi- nate floral meristems. 2Solidification pattern and microstructures of AZ91D magnesium alloy through rheoforming显示文摘The optical microscope, SEM and EDS were adopted to analyze the rheoforming solidification morpholo-gies and microstructures of deformed AZ91D magnesium alloy after isothermal treatment in semisolid state. The re-sults show that primary α phase can be formed through attachment growth, when the liquid fraction is small; and primary α phase will grow in dendrites, when the liquid fraction is high. Eutectic solidification is carried out in the ways of both dissociated growth and symbiotic growth, de-pending on the morphology of primary α phase. Liquid with eutectic concentration solidifies into lamina eutectic. During solidification of the liquid pools inside grains, α phase can be formed through attachment growth. 3MYB56 Encoding a R2R3 MYB Transcription Factor Regulates Seed Size in Arabidopsis thaliana显示文摘Plant seed size is tightly regulated by the development of seed coat,embryo,and endosperm;however,currently,its underlying mechanism remains unclear.In this study,we revealed a regulatory role of an R2R3 MYB transcription factor MYB56 in controlling seed size specifcally in Arabidopsis thaliana L.Loss-of-function or knock-down of MYB56 yielded smaller seeds as compared with the wild type.Conversely,overexpression of MYB56 produced larger seeds.Further observation using semi-thin sections showed that myb56 developed smaller contracted endothelial cells and reduced cell number in the outer integument layer of the seed coat during the seed development;by contrast,MYB56 overexpressing lines had expanded endothelial cells and increased cell number in the outer integument layer of the seed coat,suggesting the essential role of MYB56 in regulating seed development.In addition,reciprocal cross-analysis showed that MYB56 affected the seed development maternally.MYB56 was shown to be dominantly expressed in developing seeds,consistently with its function in seed development.Moreover,quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction analysis revealed that MYB56 regulates the expression of genes involved in cell wall metabolism such as cell division and expansion.Altogether,our results demonstrated that MYB56 represents an unknown pathway for positively controlling the seed size.Yanjie Zhang Wanqi Liang Jianxin Shi Jie Xu Dabing Zhang 2013Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2013,55,11:8
4Atomic mobilities and diffusivities in Al alloys显示文摘Knowledge of diffusivity is a prerequisite for understanding many scientific and technological disciplines.In this paper,firstly major experimental methods,which are employed to provide various diffusivity data,are briefly described.Secondly,the fundamentals of various computational methods,including first-principles method,embedded atomic method/molecular dynamic simulation,semi-empirical approaches,and phenomenological DICTRA technique,are demonstrated.Diffusion models recently developed for order/disorder transitions and stoichiometric compounds are also briefly depicted.Thirdly,a newly established diffusivity database for liquid,fcc_A1,L12,bcc_A2,bcc_B2,and intermetallic phases in the multicomponent Al alloys is presented via a few case studies in binary,ternary and quaternary systems.And the integration of various computational techniques and experimental methods is highlighted.The reliability of this diffusivity database is validated by comparing the calculated and measured concentration profiles,diffusion paths,and Kirkendall shifts in various binary,ternary and quaternary diffusion couples.Next,the established diffusivity databases along with thermodynamic and other thermo-physical properties are utilized to simulate the microstructural evolution for Al alloys during solidification,interdiffusion and precipitation.A special discussion is presented on the phase-field simulation of interdiffusion microstructures in a series of Ni-Al diffusion couples composed of γ,γ',and β phases under the effects of both coherent strain and external compressive force.Future orientations in the establishment of next generation of diffusivity database are finally addressed.DU Yong ZHANG LiJun CUI SenLin ZHAO DongDong LIU DanDan ZHANG WeiBin SUN WeiHua JIE WanQi 2012Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,2:6
5Microstructure, Microsegregation, and Mechanical Properties of Directional Solidified Mg–3.0Nd–1.5Gd Alloy显示文摘The microstructure, microsegregation, and mechanical properties of directional solidified Mg–3.0Nd–1.5Gd ternary alloys were experimentally studied. Experimental results showed that the solidification microstructure was composed of dendrite primary a(Mg) phase and interdendritic a(Mg) ? Mg12(Nd, Gd) eutectic and Mg5 Gd phase. The primary dendrite arm spacing k1 and secondary dendrite arm spacing k2 were found to be depended on the cooling rate R in the form k1= 8.0415 9 10-6R-0.279 and k2= 6.8883 9 10-6R-0.205, respectively, under the constant temperature gradient of40 K/mm and in the region of cooling rates from 0.4 to 4 K/s. The concentration profiles of Nd and Gd elements calculated by Scheil model were found to be deviated from the ones measured by EPMA to varying degrees, due to ignorance of the back diffusion of the solutes Nd and Gd within a(Mg) matrix. And microsegregation of Gd depended more on the growth rate, compared with Nd microsegregation. 8Breathable,antifreezing,mechanically skin-like hydrogel textile wound dressings with dual antibacterial mechanisms显示文摘Hydrogels are emerging as the most promising dressings due to their excellent biocompatibility,extracellular matrix mimicking structure,and drug loading ability.However,existing hydrogel dressings exhibit limited breathability,poor environmental adaptability,potential drug resistance,and limited drug options,which extremely restrict their therapeutic effect and working scenarios.Here,the current research introduces the first paradigm of hydrogel textile dressings based on novel gelatin glycerin hydrogel(glyhydrogel)fibers fabricated by the Hofmeister effect based wet spinning.Benefiting from the unique knitted structure,the textile dressing features excellent breathability(1800 times that of the commercially available 3 M dressing)and stretchability(535.51±38.66%).Furthermore,the glyhydrogel textile dressing can also withstand the extreme temperature of-80℃,showing the potential for application in subzero environments.Moreover,the introduction of glycerin endows the textile dressing with remarkable antibacterial property and expands the selection of loaded drugs(e.g.,clindamycin).The prepared glyhydrogel textile dressing shows an excellent infected wound healing effect with a complete rat skin closure within 14 days.All these functions have not been achievable by traditional hydrogel dressings and provide a new approach for the development of hydrogel dressings.Sihan Jiang Jiajia Deng Yuhui Jin Bo Qian Wanqi Lv Qiangqiang Zhou Enhua Mei Rasoul Esmaeely Neisiany Yuehua Liu Zhengwei You Jie Pan 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,3:3
9Microstructure evolution,mechanical properties and diffusion behaviour of Mg-6Zn-2Gd-0.5Zr alloy during homogenization显示文摘The microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of Mg-6 Zn-2 Gd-0.5 Zr alloy during homogenization treatment were investigated. The as-cast alloy was found to be composed of dendritic primaryα-Mg matrix, α-Mg +W(Mg_3Zn_3Gd_2) eutectic along grain boundaries, and icosahedral quasicrystalline I(Mg_3Zn_6Gd) phase within α-Mg matrix. During homogenization process, α-Mg +W(Mg_3Zn_3Gd_2) eutectic and I phase gradually dissolved into a-Mg matrix, while some rod-like rare earth hydrides(GdH2)formed within α-Mg matrix. Both the tensile yield strength and the elongation showed a similar tendency as a function of homogenization temperature and holding time. The optimized homogenization parameter was determined to be 505℃ for 16 h according to the microstructure evolution. 10Pressurization control system for low pressure crucible casting显示文摘A new compact pressurization control system of the low pressure casting machine for crucible pressure casting has been developed. It is especially designed for the production of high-quality aluminum or magnesium alloy parts with low input cost. This machine with such a system has the virtue of economical and compact, and combines the Fuzzy-PID technology and achieves accuracies of ±2.5 mbar. At present, this machine has been adopted by several users in China for the production of aluminum alloy castings with high property requirements. 12Genome-wide analysis of the barley non-specific lipid transfer protein gene family显示文摘Non-specific lipid transfer proteins(nsLTPs) are small, basic proteins that are characterized by an eight-cysteine motif. The biological functions of these proteins have been reported to involve plant reproduction and biotic or abiotic stress response. With the completion of the barley genome sequence, a genome-wide analysis of nsLTPs in barley(Hordeum vulgare L.)(HvLTPs) will be helpful for understanding the function of nsLTPs in plants. We performed a genome-wide analysis of the nsLTP gene family in barley and identified 70 nsLTP genes,which can be divided into five types(1, 2, C, D, and G). Each type of nsLTPs shares similar exon and intron gene structures. Expression analysis showed that barley nsLTPs have diverse expression patterns, revealing their various roles. 13Structural and optical properties of Dy^(3+):YAlO3 phosphors for yellow light-emitting diode applications显示文摘The spectroscopic properties of a series of Dy^(3+)single-doped and Dy^(3+)/Nd^(3+),Dy^(3+)/Tb^(3+),and Dy^(3+)/Tm^(3+)co-doped YAlO_(3)(yttrium aluminum perovskite,YAP)phosphors were investigated and compared through the measurements of optical absorption,emission spectra,and fluorescence decay curves.For the Dy^(3+)ion single-doped samples,the intensity of each absorption band increases with an increment in Dy^(3+)ion doping concentration,and the identified strong absorption peak at 447 nm indicates that Dy^(3+):YAP phosphors are suitable to be pumped by a blue laser diode(LD).For all co-doped samples,absorption peaks of Dy^(3+)ion along with some of the absorption bands of Nd^(3+),Tb^(3+),and Tm^(3+)ions are observed.Under 351 and 447 nm excitation,a prominent emission peak at 572 nm was obtained in all the samples,corresponding to Dy^(3+):^(4)F_(9/2)→^(6)H_(13/2)transition.Here,2 at%Dy^(3+):YAP phosphor exhibits the highest yellow emission intensity under 447 nm pumping.Among the three kinds of Dy^(3+)co-doped phosphors,Dy^(3+)/Tb^(3+):YAP phosphor possesses the dominant yellow emission.The fluorescence decay curves show exponential behaviour and are fitted well.The Commission International de L’Eclairage(CIE)chromaticity coordinates were calculated following the respective emission spectra,and it is found that all the coordinates locate in the yellow region.The energy transfer(ET)processes were investigated and the concentration quenching mechanism was discussed.The obtained results suggest that Dy^(3+)-activated YAP phosphors are good candidates for yellow LED applications.Yingshu Lian Yan Wang Jianfu Li Zhaojie Zhu Zhenyu You Chaoyang Tu Yadong Xu Wanqi Jie 2021Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,8:2

16Effect of dimensional expansion on carrier transport behaviors of the hexagonal Bi-based perovskite crystals显示文摘All-inorganic Cs_(3)Bi_(2)I_(9)(CBI)halide perovskites are sought to be candidate for photoelectrical materials because of their low toxicity and satisfactory stability.Unfortunately,the discrete molecular[Bi2I9]3−clusters limit the charge-transport behaviors.Herein,the defect halide perovskite based on trivalent Bi^(3+)is expanded to Cs_(3)Bi_(2)I_(6)Br_(3)(CBIB).Centimeter-size CBIB single crystal(Φ15×70 mm^(3))was grown by the vertical Bridgeman method.The powder X-ray diffraction analysis shows that CBIB has structure with lattice parameters of a=b=8.223Å,c=10.024Å,α=β=90°andγ=120°.The density functional theory(DFT)calculations demonstrate that the charge density distribution was enhanced after the dimensional expansion.The enhancement of carrier transport ability of(00l)in-plane is characterized before and after dimensional improvement.The obtained CBIB(001)exhibited an electron mobility up to 40.03 cm^(2)V^(−1)s^(−1)by time-of-flight(TOF)technique,higher than 26.46 cm^(2)V^(−1)s^(−1)of CBI(001).Furthermore,the X-ray sensitivity increases from 707.81μC Gy^(−1)cm^(−2)for CBI(001)to 3194.59μC Gy−1 cm^(−2)for CBIB(001).This research will deepen our understanding of Bi-based perovskite materials and afford more promising strategies for lead-free perovskite optoelectronic devices modification.Qihao Sun Bao Xiao Leilei Ji Dou Zhao Jinjin Liu Wei Zhang Menghua Zhu Wanqi Jie Bin-Bin Zhang Yadong Xu 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,3:1
